There was a photo that we found a while back of a possible deleted scene; it showed a grown longneck at night looking panicked that some suggested was Littlefoot's mom waking up and realizing he's gone

Wow I've never heard of that one. Does anybody still have the pic?

Maybe the grandparents didn't wake up because they were exhausted from hunger. I mean, it couldn't have been easy to walk across a dying landscape with no food when your also elderly.

When Petrie is on Littlefoot's head guarding the tree star and he says "Me no let nobody touch it!" and starts pacing back and forth like a soldier. That one cracks me up every time. :lol

That's a good question. What did they just run away or something? Wouldn't surprise me since Cera's parents didn't even look for a way to get to the other side of the ravine to get to Cera when they knew she was there, they just continued on their way.

1988 Theatrical Release / Outcut land before time scenes

Back in those days cartoon violence was a little more common than it is today. If a child could withstand the heartbreaking death of their favorite Autobot, Optimus Prime, In Transformers: The Movie than I think they could have dealt with a couple of the more perilous scenes. As I child, I thought the scenes with the Sharptooth were awesome, I never got scared by them. I actually got scared more from the Tyrannosaur in Jurassic Park when I was a little kid, Isn't that Ironic? the guy who tells Don Bluth "You'll have Kids crying in the lobby" turned out the more frightening product five years later. Heck, even Oliver and Company had some frightening scenes. The part where the girl gets pulled into the car, kidnapped and held for ransom still freaks me out, That stuff actually happens. My point is though, kids can handle stuff. From personal experience, when I feared it it made me want to see it even more. that's coming from a guy who started watching horror films at age 7.  :lol

Wait I see it. Your right about that. That's the thing with the Cels, nothing is absolute. This thing is actually selling for $200 bucks on Ebay, I pity the soul who wastes that much money on a fake.

Judging from some real Cels and the little bit of footage seen in the old tv spots, some of the scenes were really beautiful and appealing. That one lost shot from the tv spot of Littlefoot and Cera being swept on a wave of mud, then being knocked onto the Sharptooth's foot was really quite detailed.

I also remember a guy on YouTube editing that scene into the film, with the missing portion of the soundtrack matching up perfectly. Though that was also taken down. Whatever was in some of these scenes, Universal (Or Steven Spielberg) really don't want us to see them. makes me think, could they have really been that bad?

Silver Screen / Roger Ebert

R.I.P Roger Ebert. Now he can finally be reunited with Gene Siskel in the world beyond. And so ends one of the greatest duos in film history. :cry

1988 Theatrical Release / What happened to Cera's mother and sisters?
« on: April 05, 2013, 07:30:28 PM »
Sorry to revive a seemingly dead topic but I noticed something that I don't think anyone else has. In the first film, after the Sharptooth attack and the earthquake hits. There is that big shot of the chasm breaking apart and a group of Dinosaurs running away from the crevice right? well a few days ago I noticed that some of the dinosaurs that get taken down with a piece of the earth look like baby triceratops. This is just a theory but there is about six or seven of them and they all fall into the chasm. maybe Cera's sisters were those Three-horns and we've never noticed it before. but as I said, just speculation here guys.

1988 Theatrical Release / Tell Your Story About LBT
« on: April 05, 2013, 07:24:15 PM »
My LBT story begins before I was born. Picture it, it's the mid 1990's, Jurassic Park had not long come out in theaters and the dinosaur craze was at it's peak. My brother was a kid in these days, he (like all young boys at the time) went nuts for dinosaurs. He worshiped them. So when I was born, I was born into this craze. My brother never stopped his obsession with dinosaurs, so by the time I was a toddler, I'd already seen The Land Before Time (And 2, 3, 4 and 5  :DD ) and Jurassic Park and all the others. So when something is with you that early on in childhood, it sticks with you, It will never go away. I went for a few years without seeing any of them (my rebellious tween years, we all go through it folks), but like most people, I remembered the nostalgia and wonder I got through watching the film and I revisited it. So that's my introduction to TLBT, It sure seems like a long time ago now.

Well I didn't think it was anything horrible, I enjoyed it for what it was. With the sequels I tend to think the Original is it's own stand alone film and the sequels are more along the lines of animated FanFics (Especially 7). But 6 wasn't that bad after all. It had a good story to it and I like how the meanest Sharptooth could be the Sharptooth from the first film, but it allows the audience to come to that conclusion themselves. :lol

The Welcome Center / Hey y'all!
« on: April 05, 2013, 06:16:33 PM »
Hey everybody, I'm Jay from Melbourne, Australia. I'm Seventeen and  I've been a fan of LBT since before I can remember. The first film was always a favorite of mine and it continues to be to this very day. When I heard about the supposed deleted scenes in 2010, I began searching for more information and pictures, Which I continue to do into 2013, as new cels and art are always popping up on the internet. Besides the obvious, I'm also an enthusiast of all things 80's, I love animation in general and am considering become an animator. Music-wise I don't have many favorite artists, but anything 80's or theatrical sounding, I love. I've known about this forum for a few years now but i never got around to joining it before. But I finally did it, and I'm glad I did    :DD

Anyone seen this production cel before? It's obviously from the 'Sharptooth and the Earthquake' scene, But I want to find out if it's legit or not. It looks real because I don't remember Littlefoot's mother in that pose, and the wound is clearly visible.. By the way I'm new here.

Newly Discovered Cel?
