Gamers Zone / Re: Mass Effect
« on: January 03, 2021, 03:01:34 PM »
I played Mass Effect many times, finished once, and I liked it very much, interesting story, good shooting scenes, good characters, and I liked, that I can solve problems my way, and do not have to simply follow the default story in every detail. I started to play it again month ago, even though I did not get too far, because I did choose more difficult game.

Gamers Zone / Re: What was your first game?
« on: January 03, 2021, 02:48:26 PM »
My earliest games were
Pokémon Snap (Nintendo64, german version)
Pokémon Stadium (Nintendo64, german version)- I was very obsessed with Pokémon in my kindergarten and first two elementary school years, and I very enjoyed these games, even if I did understand hardly anything other than Czech.
Midnight Club PS2- I remember
, Tomb Raider PS1 (played on PS2),
I had a good time while playing both these games, but I was to get very far, because I did not understand many things, and in Tomb Raider, I had no PS1 memory card, so I did many times tutorial or first mission, then beginning of mission two, when I died, and this is the end.

My earliest PC games, which I remember good, were windows 98 games like
Minesweeper, Hearts etc.,
Bomberman
Commander Keen 4- Sometimes I was scared of some enemies from that game, so I did chicken out, and did not want to play it.
and some Czech freeware games, you probably do not know.

General Land Before Time / Re: Thoughts on LBT 2.
« on: January 02, 2021, 07:03:24 AM »
LBT 2 is one of my favorite ones, I always liked eggstealers, evil Ozzy and goofy, infirm Strut, young cute sharptooth Chomper, i liked moral of how kids survive, do not like, that parents are protecting them too much, in order to regain trust of adults, chase eggstealers on their own, and then, when they try to raise Chomper, Littlefoot finds themself in very similar situation, when Chomper is in danger, and then understands because of the experience.
The movie hardly has any boring parts, I liked all three songs.

General Land Before Time / Re: Would a 3D LBT be good or bad?
« on: January 02, 2021, 06:24:03 AM »
I am accustomed to LBT in 2D, but I would like it too, if plot was equally interesting, because simply I like LBT, and any new movie or series would be welcome.
One thing, which I would like very much, would be LBT 3D Remastered movies.

Land Before Time TV Series (2007) / Re: Is Rhett a villain?
« on: January 01, 2021, 04:36:02 PM »
I never perceived Rhett as a villain, he is self-centered, makes up stories to look brave and formidable, but nothing more than that, he did not try to hurt anybody, and after all, he was still a kid. I think, that after he was put in his place, he would learn a little from his mistakes, and at the end of the day, he is not far from normal.

Character Showcase / Re: Petrie Showcase - June 2019
« on: January 01, 2021, 04:02:21 PM »
Petrie is (comparably with Guido) my favorite character of the LBT franchise. Except maybe LBT I, where I liked him less.  He and I share similar personalities, because I am a jitterbug too, sometimes I also speak in weird way, etc.
I like, when he thinks of many things as dangerous, and then, when it is necessary, overcomes his fear, and helps his friends in need. Jeff Bennet's voice of him is brilliant.
I also think, that Petrie could have something like Aspergers syndrome.

General Land Before Time / Re: LBT and Dink, The Little Dinosaur
« on: December 22, 2020, 02:08:40 AM »
Dink, The Little Dinosaur was first dinosaur cartoon, that I remember I watched (I was 5 years old) , I liked it very much, and when I watched LBT, I have noticed very soon, that 5 gang members, chasing by carnivores, Green Meadow/Great Valley are very similar in some ways. I watched it in english later, and I was disappointed, that in Czech it was nearly impossible to lay my hands on Czech dub, so I watched it in English dub, but again, I did find only about 15 episodes of 40. I found some more later, and I loved it. Fortunately, it was then released on DVD in 2017.
Dink has a very similar role in the gang as Littlefoot. Both are leaders, smart, brave, very similar, if not same species. My favorite characters were Scat and Flapper.

General Land Before Time / Re: LBT 5---first half or second half?
« on: December 22, 2020, 01:31:31 AM »
I liked first half very much, it has no boring moments, i find second half a little worse, but I like it too, and I always enjoy LBT V as a whole with all three songs.

Character Showcase / Re: Chomper Showcase - September 2019
« on: November 23, 2020, 02:42:01 PM »
I like Chomper as a character, he is a nice friendly sharptooth, and it is always fun to watch scenes with him. And I like, when someone meets Chomper for the first time, and his reaction to it. One thing, that confused me a little was, that in II, he did not spend too much time with the gang, and in V, he talks herbivore language fluently.

I would like to see Ozzy and Strut, and Pterano. One thing, that I would especially like would be, that when Strut is being pushed over the edge by long-term mistreatment, he stands up to Ozzy, and thwarts his plans.

General Land Before Time / Re: Most Disliked LBT Movie
« on: November 19, 2020, 03:02:33 AM »
There are two movies, that I dislike almost equally. XI and XIII. Plot was not very interesting to me, in XIII  I did not like the yellowbellies, they were very irritating for me. By the skin of teeth, I think XIII is worse. Only thing I liked about XIII was a song Yellow belly bounce.

General Land Before Time / Re: Land Before Time Video Game ideas.
« on: November 18, 2020, 03:15:57 PM »
I would like open-world LBT game with some RPG components, huge world to explore. With option to play as any of gang of seven members, meeting many characters from movies and series, more side-quests in many forms referring to these characters. It goes without saying, that there would be also fighting part against sharpteeth. Main story would not have to be very complex, but will put much more emphasis on side-quests. There would be also a few more playable characters, able to add into gang if befriended good enough and being helped by protagonists. Dialogues and side-quests especially with characters seen in movies and  a few other new main characters would be very elaborated, with options to answer to a problem in few different ways, which could at the end of the day affect, if character likes protagonist, or not. With this huge world, there would be many options to explore very far, there would be forest area, ocean coastline, plains, desert, mountains, even one, or two other valleys similar to "Great Valley" far away, memorable areas from movies too. Somewhere in this world would be nearly every character from movie to find, even if just for small dialog.

Welcome to the forum!

What's your favorite moments and characters from LBT movies?

My most favorite characters are Petrie and Guido, I also like Chomper, Pterano, Ducky, Doc, Ozzy and Strut

I have many favorite moments, for example virtually every moment with Petrie, Guido sleepwalking and being chased by Spinosaurus, Guido appearing in Great Valley, taking care of eggstealers and young Chomper

Then my favorite movies: LBT II, V, VI, VIII, XII.
And I do not like the plot of XI and XIII

Hello and welcome! :petrieLOL

I am a fan of Land Before Time for a long time, in my elementary school days I saw  V, VI, VIII, XI,. Many years later, 2015 I happened to watch LBT again, watched I through XII in Czech, (my first language), after huge disappointment with Czech dub of LBT series,  I watched not only the series, but also every movie in English dub (apart from XI).  I watch some LBT movie or episode now and then. I know this forum since few years ago, but I did not register until now.

That's somewhat similar to my story. I watched some of the films in my elementary school days, then saw the rest of LBT many years later.

What was so bad about the Czech dub? Now I'm curious.
:)littlefoot

Czech dub of movies was good, but dub of series was very different, and in a wrong way. I noticed, that original Czech cast of LBT movies did also another dub version prior to this, but I did not find it.
There is also a new dub of movies, i did not see either.
