I've yet to peek.   I thought I read somewhere they put Seagate drives in these machines.  I'll have to see what's in here, though I probably won't do anything about it.  I've already transferred all 275gb of my stuff onto it.

I hope everything gets better soon.  It might be some time, but things do change for the better in most cases.  You did a very honorable thing helping your family as you did, even though you wanted to keep some sort of independence for yourself. :)

Just about every bottled water is processed tap water anyway.  Yeah not all tap water is created equal, but its really not any better for you.

Upon some good news, I've been gifted a new Dell laptop, even though I didn't ask for it.  :D   Looks like it'll be pretty nice...my last Dell was refurbished and has served me well over five years with no problems.

Tap water is fine where I am that's why I do not buy bottled water.  I also don't bother with Britas or any purifiers.  Perhaps what I don't know won't hurt me but I've no interest in actually finding out what is in the water given the fact the pipes are probably as old as most of the buildings downtown (over 50 years).

I go weekly for fresh items (salad fixings and fruit) because they don't last very long.

Now as for buying water, I'd say your nuts to spend on something you are already paying for to come out of your tap, unless your tap water is really bad.

The Fridge / A look back in 2010
« on: January 02, 2011, 09:05:31 AM »
The good:

- job has become less stressful due to a classroom relocation that benefits the students
- new car :)
- trip to Virginia to see a good friend :)

The bad:

- probably wasn't in the best of health the first half of the year

Can't think of much else, so 2010 was good to me.

I would say 150x150 would be the largest.  If you get to the 200x200 you're looking at images bigger than your avatars.

Silver Screen / Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers
« on: January 01, 2011, 07:30:26 AM »
I picked up the first issue the day it came out.  Its drawn nicely for a comic, and it keeps to the style of the cartoon.  Here's what I didn't like...a lot of flashbacks, and that really kept the story from going anywhere in this first issue.  Maybe things will clean up in the second one and I'm willing to give it that chance.  I'm not really interested in reading about flashbacks personally. ;)

Otherwise, its good for RR fans. :)  You think Chip and Dale will start meet and greets as the Rescue Rangers again in the parks?

Firefox has plugins that will help you. ;)  Specifically those that look for flash based content to be loaded on the site.

Junior and Senior can mean more than high school, though that was definitely an inspiration for the titles.  I think if we focus on Malte's list with my small change, that would update the list to include Ruby and Chomper and keep just about everyone happy. :)

You cannot set separate images for forum moderators.  The Bron character is a one-shot character and would not make a good avatar for an admin here.

I'm posting this because I stumbled across this tonight, and its perfectly legal as the composer for much of the sequels, Michael Tavera has put up some of the LBT score used in the later films.  Given the right plugins on your browser, you can also save these clips.
