As MarzGurl pointed out Don Bluth did a good job making his films cute for kids while in the same time dark and serious. Out of all his films, though, the 3 I listed above stand out the most, and ended up getting seqeul-itis without input from Bluth. So, of the three, what's your favotire? Mine would definitely be "The Land Before Time". I haven't even seen the other 2 (ok I might have seen an American Tale a looooong time ago...which one suddenly has white screen at the beginning?) and have pretty much just based them on MarzGurl's reiews. They definitely are classic Bluth, but neither are nearly as good as "The Land Before Time". I would regard it even higher over the other 2 if we had the uncut version. But hey, this is just me. (Although seeing as this is a "Land Before Time" site I bet it'll get the most votes.  ;) )

The Land Before Time for me, although I do like Secret Of NIMH (which is not in the poll) and All Dogs Go To Heaven. An American Tail was too depressing for me.

More depressing then LBT? (Yes, it was depressing, but I don't think any main good characters died in An American Tale)

All Dogs Go To Heaven was depressing as well, but not to the degree of American Tail (which was mostly depressing throughout). ADGTH was probably the most controversial of the films released too, since it had a strong religious theme and had one of the scariest Don Bluth moments: Charlie's nightmare.

I chose The Land Before Time, however if The Secret of NIMH had been up there I would have chosen that. I have a 1982 VHS copy of it that I have taken great care of, more than anything I own. I don't know what about the movie makes me love it so much, but I do.
I admit, An American Tail was depressing. I honestly thought Fievel would never get back to his parents. There were so much false hope throughout the film, and I remember crying as a kid because I thought Fievel would never get back to his family. I can't say the same for The Land Before Time. The only really depressing moment, to me, in that film is Littlefoot's mother's death. The rest of the movie sort of picks up in tone after Littlefoot meets his friends.

Looks like "The Land Before Time" is winning!  :)

I think of those in the poll I'd say I like Land Before Time more then the others, for some of the reasons some others have said here.  And I guess since it has dinosaurs in it too.

Let's see, this is the GoF and the poll is to select our favorite Don Bluth film. No contest here! :lol

Actually I enjoyed Secret of NIMH but still think LBT is the overall better made film.

Definitely All Dogs Go to Heaven. If I'd never seen All Dogs, I'd say LBT because I've never seen An American Tale.

I've never seen An American Tail, so I'd say Land Before Time as that's the film I remember the most from when I was younger. All Dogs Go To Heaven was good, but I think it had a few too many songs for me to enjoy it properly. But it did have the first depressing ending I ever saw, so I'll always like it for that.

Which is weird cause in the past Bluth had been fond of overly happy endings. (Which was the only thing that pretty much saved those films from traumitizing kids, as I've heard)

Neither of my favorite Bluth films are on here! They're Secret of NIMH and Titan A.E., by the way. I love LBT, but in the long run, it comes in a close second to those two right next to American Tail.

Secret of Nimh, and Titan ae.  I've liked both of those movies quite a bit.

Blasphemy!  No Secret of NIMH in that poll? :o  That's his best because he basically had nobody to answer to...he was free to make the film as he saw fit, in the style he wanted--classic dark Disney.  He succeeded. :)  Everything else after that--including LBT--had someone else's hand in the pot.

The Land Before Time is number one for me. But if I choose any other film besides TLBT it would be An American Tail, so I voted AAT. Still liked that movie. Speaking of that I have to watch it again.
