Definitely, Littlefoot. He always has the brightest ideas (well, not always.).

Littlefoot.
I.Q. is the measure of one's ability to learn. Littlefoot has shown this the most out of all of the characters.

However, Cera seems to learn at a somewhat rapid rate. Her stubborn nature might conceal her true intelligence.

Littlefoot is indeed the most intelligent.

Cera is perhaps number two... but she has done too many stupid things to qualify for the highest position.

Chomper is too young to consideration as the most intelligent.

Ruby says things in an idiosyncratic way, and is often the victim of wrong reasoning.

Petrie and Ducky have speech impediments of some kind, and Spike doesn't talk at all, although I didn't see the episode "Through the Eyes of a Spike-Tail", so it may be possible that he has hidden intelligence under his mute demeanor.

ability to speak doesn't define intelligence... plenty of autistic people are VERY smart, they're just not very capable with language

That's why I said that Spike could be hiding intelligence under his lack of speech, although he rarely does anything intelligent.

That also goes for Petrie and Ducky. I don't think you should judge their intelligence based off of speech impediments like that. Actually, now that you mention Cera doing "too many stupid things," hasn't all of the gang done stupid things at one time or another? Haven't we ALL done stupid things at one time or another?

Mistakes actually show intelligence. Or lack of.

Look at it this way. Intelligence is the ability to learn. Mistakes show where learning is needed. The faster a person learns from mistakes, the more intelligent that person is. So all we need to do to check intelligence is to find mistakes that the characters made and figure out the time it takes for the character to learn from that mistake.

Ducky can certainly be the voice of reason, so she isn't stupid....just mispronounces many words.  We always know what she means.  I think Ducky is actually the smartest....she's just not the lead character so you see less of her.

I.Q. is not measured by the number of stupid mistskes one has made and there is no such thing as a link between grammar and intelligence.  Fact of the matter is, there is no wrong dialect and the dialect/grammar-intelligence link theory is but a myth .  I.Q. is based on what one has learned thus far and one's ability to think critically.  LF is too optimistic and ideal, Ducky is naive and innocent, Petrie is gullible, and Spike has not displayed an incredible amount of intelligence yet.  This leaves Cera out.  Sure, she may lose all sense when she panics, but she's also the wittiest and most realistic.

Littlefoot and Ducky looks like the only two right variants, because they have done less silly things, than Cera, Spike or Petrie. Because Littlefoot already have 20 voices by his side, i'm vote for Ducky. :)
Strange that Petrie have less votes than everyone else, even Spike.

Definitely Spike. He's got all the answers, he just doesn't feel like sharing them at this time. Plus being an outsider means he can learn from everyone else's mistakes.  "Through the eyes of a Spiketail" showed enough to convince me.

Not surprising that no one's said Petrie yet.

Like Ducky, because you often see less of Petrie and what goes on when he's not with the gang, its hard to judge what or who he's learning from.  When he's with the gang, he naturally agrees just about all the time, which doesn't necessarily show intelligence.

Spike is an interesting example.  All my special education background is screaming at me that just because he doesn't talk, doesn't mean he can't comprehend what's going on or isn't intelligent. :p  He might be smarter than all...just choosing not to speak.

Some of the time Cera seem to have to pull things up a little when Littlefott is lost and not sure what to do. Like in Wisdoms, it seem that all the rules and stuff that he wanted to be taught he started getting really muddlyed up until Cera and help from the others seem to clearfil his confusion.
