Just lastnight, I watched "Marley and Me" for the first time. I don't know one person (myself included) who has not cried when Marley was put to sleep . It brings back memories of having to put one of my dogs to sleep back in November...it's one of the most terrible decisions to make . Still, the funniness of the story outweighed the sad parts. I swear, my almost eight-month old pup is a Cocker Spaniel version of Marley ! He's almost just as bad, but like Marley, he's still a good boy
I actually watched Marley and Me the other evening, my sister received the DVD for her birthday. Whilst I am not a dog person, in fact I quite dislike them....CATS all the way:)....I cried when Marley was put to sleep. I actually cried over a dog and I've never done that before.
Disregarding the sad parts, the happy/funny parts of the movie enabled me to see and appreciate Mozart (I know he is a cat) more than I do. Like Marley becomes with the onscreen family, Mozart has become a very large part of our lives...that he is part of the family.
