Maybe I could, but I am taking it in a house in night time with lights around so the picture wasn't too clear but this was the best one I took.

In case you can create a sharper image of the picture, may it be presented in Christian's  gallery?

If this is alright with you, the last two pictures of your would certainly be a gain for the gallery. However, if you would like them to be put there, could you take a little clearer pictures of them Threehorn?

They are as clear I can get them from my digital camera. You can add them to your mates art galley. free to do that.

That is pretty evident as the ones you were "in the mood to draw" for look a lot better. ;)  To me, while it's not bad, it's noticably rushed compared to the Cera one.

Christian told me that the drawing of Cera is okay, but he really asks for a clearer shot of the Littlefoot one. Maybe you can get it clearer by focusing manually rather than automatic? It wouldn't do justice to the drawing to present it unfocused.

Here is a new one I done... but the colouring in I think went a bit wrong, that to me thou, just let me know if you think so too or anything about it.

Good or bad that what the artest is and mistakes you learn by. Not often I colour in drawings that I do.

But still a finished piece of work.

You can get another copy but I bet there's a bit of the program somewhere in your system so you just can't reinstall it when the trial run is over. ;)  Hate to break it to you, but I don't think you'll be able to put another copy of Photoshop 8.0 on your computer, unless you actually buy it.  You can do 7.0 without a problem and do a trial run with that version.

Hi!
I see that the people who posted these rubbish message were already dealt with (they were disabled from posting in the GOF, which I think is appropriate a measure for people whose only intention is to to cause trouble). Did you deal with them Littlefoot-1616?
If we ever get messages of the same nature again, please don't even bother to react to them. If there is no response at all to such "messages" there is no reason at all not to delete such crap messages. With answers on them being posted they either need to remain or deleted along with the answers.

Nice ones!
I did use pastells for some time too. "Pencils" with pastell leads to be precise. I really loved the way it felt on the paper. However the colors were easily blured if one touched them unintentionally with the hand which happened to me time and again (perhaps because I use my left hand for drawing). In small pictures the effect was of course not desirable.
There is only one LBT picture I ever finished drew with pastells. The picture shows a scene from my LBT story "The Big Quarrel", yet it suffers from wrong perspective. It seems like the plateau Cera is standing on slopes towards the watcher. This was not my intention... err I'm not sure wether or not I should actually post any pictures in a thread dedicated to Threehorn's fanart. I better wait for greenlit or the request to put it somewhere else.

Name: Neg
Age: Around the same age as Littlefoot
Attiude: Friendly, heart warming but got a hell of a temper to other longnecks.
Life: Been abused by a old longneck which he don't talk about so Neg don't like other longnecks even he is one.

Well, I'll try to describe it and you can use your imagination. The Crystal is on the top, It's rather large and pinkish in color, The staff is rather long, and made of enchanted wood. the staff is dark brown in color and thins as you near the bottom.

Looks nice. :)
But what is the Tri Foundation Alliance? And who is Stripetail? I strongly suppose I'd be smarter about this if I was taking part in the RPGs, right?
Title: Threehorn Art
Post by: Nick22 on March 14, 2005, 03:54:32 PM
Stripetail is a chharacter in the RP. And the Tri-Foundation alliance is an alliance of Rainbowfaces, Humans and creatures called Dinotons. Threehorn and i basically are letting our imaginations go where tthey want in the RP, but we still do include LBT characters.
I bet that didn't help much :P:

Not me I was one of those people who couldn't draw if the gods of drawing came and whacked me aside the head with a pencil.  I still remember my friend tried too give me online classes on drawing. I was trying too draw a picture of a dog and let's say it turned out like picture Bugs Bunny after getting run over by a 17 wheeler and you'd have my drawing.

Post by: Malte279 on April 11, 2006, 01:03:57 AM
It just takes some practice.  :)
Recently I rediscovered my first ever (for all I know) "land before time fanart" in a folder. It dates from 1989 or 1990 when I was five respectively six years old.
It comes in the shape of
a set of small green slips of paper on which I drew dinosaurs using felt tip
pen. I must have been five or six years old by the time those drawings were
done. I asked a grownup to write "In einem Land vor unserer Zeit" (German
for the land before time) on the first of the slips of paper. I often asked
grownups to write something for me when I was still unable to write myself.
The drawings are of course very crude. One longneck looks a bit like it had
an udder while actually it is supposed to be two of his legs. There is a
triceratops with a smiley face and a tail with a tassel (looking like a
bufallo's tail). There is a picture which might be a Great Valley landscape,
there are pictures of dinosaurs with paper streamers (such as used on some
parties) and some pictures which not even I can identify. It sure is funny
to look at these and a great stroke of luck that they still exist. I might post it in the GOF, but it sure would be more for a good laugh or nostalgia than for it being "great art". ;)

here is a image that I found that someone made it was quite amazing to see it been around since 2004 but it got detail that i thought it possible to be placed as something for LBT film and it this beast with massive claws is just a leaf eater :)

That's Therizinosaurus. If I remember correctly, I think only the large claws were found. Some scientists say it was a plant-eater. But other scientists say it used those claws to broke open termite mounds and eat the termites inside. In Dino Crisis, Therizinosaurus is a meat-eater. Its appearance, as far as I know, is unknown. I think that is the standard look for Therizinosaurus, though, the one in the picture.

The person who drew that picture was.. ::thinks of her name:: IsisMasshiro, from DeviantArt. She's a good artist. ^^ She has a lot of dinosaur pictures. You know, Threehorn, that isn't the only Land Before Time related art piece she did. She drew one of Littlefoot's grandparents as children. So cute. ^^

Very nice, both of them!  :yes
Are they both freehand drawings Wayne?
As for constructive criticism that might help to make the future drawings even better, I realize that both Littlefoot's and Toppsy's claws are much more pointed on your drawings than they are in the movies, where they have a rather rounded shape.

The characters look very nice.  :)
Did you create the picture with paintshop, or which programme is it you are using?
One thing which I think could perhaps be improved is the background. Most programmes have an airbrush function allowing to create less smooth surfaces (e.g. rocky surfaces or treetops) relatively easy. It is a matter of tase of course.

I used Photoshop to do it but I am still learning about backgrounds. I am not sure how to do one on Photoshop very well. maybe someone could help me out a little by teaching me how :)

A Snowglobe that I won on Ebay. But it had a small damage and the owner of it didn't know till I told him and pointed it out on the photo. He said he will look into it . the damage is Petire's head. it was broken off and the owner didn't even know it was.

But I still liked it

Post by: Malte279 on October 02, 2006, 03:36:10 AM
I got it from ebay, yet I think the seller was a trader rather than a private person. All the items I bought from him (it wasn't just the snowglobe, but also some other items of the same series of LBT products) came in sealed original boxes. Porto to have them send accross the Atlantic almost exceeded the price of the items.

Wow! :D

First, let me say that your drawings of Mo, Petrie, Chomper and Littlefoot came out absolutely amazing.  Exceptional work, Threehorn, especially for pencil only!

I do find that Cera's face seems a little bit disproportionate, though I am having trouble deciding exactly How...  Maybe it's just the expression on her face that makes her face look a tiny bit strange, because the drawing is very accurate.  Cera seems to have a big upper-lip in this picture, but maybe that's just me. :lol

Ducky, on the right-hand side of the picture, came out very well, too!  I like how the characters interact with the letters in the title; very nice.

A frequent fate of the artists I suppose.  ;)
I don't recall any piece of fanart from anybody ever receiving any reaction from a majority of the active members (at least not in the last years).
There is a reason though why I didn't write anything so far, namely that I have both, praise and criticism. I'm afraid that the latter may be percieved as an offense, which it is definitely not supposed to be. Especially so as you wrote about how much work and effort you put into this project. Criticizing anything about it may therefore touch a sensitive nerve. As I have been told on other occasions to keep silent in such cases, I just did.
Shall I continue to keep it?

I'm curious Threehorn, have you ever considered a cool signature or logo to mark all of your work like this?

It's a VERY basic signature, but it works.  You could make your own and put it on your pictures.

You made a good choice for Littlefoot's colors which are frequently mistaken for plain brown (that includes most of my own pictures).
Did you draw these characters freehand?

I don't suppose it would be a good idea to include such a large picture in a signature. Signatures are to give some individuality to the writer of a message, but not to overshadow the message itself by size and prominence.

I did this in around 5 seconds.  I just wanted to give him an example.  He can make the words as small or as large as he wants.

I don't know if you knew this or if there was some sort of misunderstanding, but the words are the signature, not the picture.  Your wording sort of confused me.

Oh, now I see. I thought you were refering to the signature you will find under each message in the board rather than the name written on a piece of art. My mistake.

LOL.  That's okay.  It happens.  I can reduce the glow effect to make the words less poofy (for lack of a better word).  You can create literally millions of different signatures with photoshop.  I could make a much better one if I had invested the time.  Ya gotta love that program.

Since it art in a manner of speaking I share it with you guys and it suppose to be a Apatosaurus

hope you like :D

Title: Threehorn Art
Post by: Threehorn on January 30, 2008, 09:03:04 PM
I draw by hand first then took a photo of it then using Adode Photoshop 7.0.1 I draw over the pencil lines using my mouse then using pictures I pick the colours the shading colours and normal ones and used Smart Blur which gave the more outstanding look.

Here is the complete colouring of all the charcaters but been thinking about a background not sure if there be one but if so I like to make it good for this

two other backgrounds

here is the cyan background

and here is the paper background of the drawing itself was done on.

I am up for some more ideas for the background. Or any comments on the very ones that are up at the moment :) hope you like it guys.

Here is something I did when I was working in the Camp store, since for periods of almost a hour I don't get any campers coming up so I just draw and came up with a new story idea.

Story called: The Crystal of Dreams

only a small background to the story idea, a dark storm forms in the sky and opens in the middle to show a glowing hole inside two creatures fighting over the Crystal, Wave the Typholosion who also human and Jake the HO-OH using the power of the Crystal to become the legendary pokemon HO-OH. As one final hope during the free fall fight Wave blast the Crystal with a hyperbeam blasting it into seven pieces scattering all over the lands around the Great Valley and just outside the Mysterious Beyond. the explosion cause the vortex to open massively for a second then closes up sending four more objects landing into the land below with Wave crashing through a tree and Jake getting the lift he needs and start his search for the Crystal not aware that it was blasted into seven pieces at that moment.

Wave crashes into Sky in the tree and one of the objects a pokeball blue one lands not to far from Littlefoot containing a Blue Mew called Blue.

that about it of the idea so far. not going to work on it till after the ones I have planned are finished first.

not freehand................ I beg your pardon I draw all mine from free hand I don't trace any of my drawings. That drawing of mine comes from a very very tiny sticker no bigger then 3cm in size that tiny.

And as for use my Cera flower, it fine since your already did it. but next time could you or anyone talk to me in a PM first to see if it ok before you go ahead please and no one should really come in and say 'he be fine with it' because it the person that did it has to say it ok not a 3rd party.

I did it as a gift art and spoke to him as well about a idea story of it sharing it with him first before going ahead with it and showing it here.

Sorry if I sounded rude or anything Malte it just that I kind of like to answer things myself not someone else answer for me. It makes it sound like I have no voice over what I did and being picked on in school so much that i ended up living mostly a lone life I kind of have a bit of a automatic defence without thinking about it and when I do it makes me feel bad.

Glad you did Sky lol, I draw other pictures that i haven't posted up yet part of that story idea. Glad to hear you got your computer fixed and sorted out.

Also the other two drawings are from scene ideas, one is with Littlefoot poking out of a bush looking right at a Pokeball and the other is Cera lying on a ledge very close to one of the Crystal of Dreams fraquments.

I actually drew that same picture, details exact, when I was eleven years old.  However, I then gave it to my (at one time before I moved) best friend's youngest sister who absolutely adored LBT :D.

Yep, nice breeze and all, chilling in the shade on a nice calm sunny day. Everyone needs it once in a while when you walk from one town to another lol speical when your form isn't always the say after 2 days or so :)

Post by: Kor on July 16, 2008, 12:08:14 AM
I guess he likes switching forms often?

If everyone made time to do that they may well be more relaxed then many are today.

The device on his arm has almost like a mind of it own because he has no idea when the device will change his form after 2 days.

He's a pokemon? Guess he has to hide when he sees someone with a pokeball, or shoot them.
Title: Threehorn Art
Post by: Threehorn on July 17, 2008, 12:30:29 PM
His a human but change into a pokemon with that device on his arm, plus usually his not alone, his father a Dragonite called Dragconite that took him under the wing since he knew about this and cared for his safety so his always there with Wave then you have Wave's own pokemon he caught and started with that there as well.

also because of what he is pokeballs wouldn't work any way they just hit him like a stone being thrown and hitting someone. It would just hurt alot from being hit by a ball lol.

Well here is the colour version of it.

Nice & well done picture.  Looks like the character can draw with his tail and hands, a useful thing.
Title: Threehorn Art
Post by: Threehorn on July 27, 2008, 09:02:41 AM
The tail far more flexiable to the paws since he would have to grip the pencil with both paws to just be able to draw since I think the paws are not that very well flexable.
Title: Threehorn Art
Post by: kjeldo on July 27, 2008, 09:11:04 AM
the fact that it is so good makes me think about office working,
Title: Threehorn Art
Post by: Kor on July 27, 2008, 12:10:09 PM
Sounds like he uses his tail all the time and seldom, if ever, uses his paws.
Title: Threehorn Art
Post by: Threehorn on July 28, 2008, 09:03:18 AM
He uses the tail for drawing mostly when using a pencil or pen.
Title: Threehorn Art

and to also hold a cup, fork, spoon, or for certain types of foods like a sandwich or apple, I'd guess.

Post by: Threehorn on July 29, 2008, 08:35:36 AM
I don't think so about that, but hey sounds like you got ideas about the tail, but for now it used for speeding along in the waters doing attacks and drawing, that about it for the tail lol.

I got a new piece of work that I just finished

Me at a PC as an Buizel lol

Nice picture.  Makes sense a paw could move a mouse around.  Not sure if they are flexible enough to click a mouse button, only you would know that.  I guess for the keyboard he has to use his tail, nose or tongue to type with.

Title: Threehorn Art
Post by: Threehorn on July 29, 2008, 08:59:28 PM
Well use the paws to type just have to push a button a time with the middle finger paw, as for clicking the button yes the paws are flexiable enough to do so lol.

thanks for the comments ya both :)
