Well, I can honestly say that I found brekclub85's Star Day information to be shocking. After the way he thought of all those great ideas for, wrote so smoothly and understandingly, and planned each chapter so cleverly of his fanfictions that I admire so much, well, I had assumed he was at least a few years older than me. I had guessed he was about twenty-four years old. Now that I see he's a still a teenager, I'm thinking, "Wow." I had pictured him with a five o'clock shadow, driving to college a few times a week, and some other things. I would have never imagined him being younger than me at all, let alone by that much time. I had hoped that I could write as well as he does someday, but if he can write ten times better than me now and continues to improve and at the same time is actually six years younger than me, well, I see that I'd better set my sights on someone else that I might actually have a chance of being able to catch with eventually. Everyone probably knows by now that I don't wish Happy Birthday's in these threads because they are plentiful enough. They are still a very good thing to say to people, but I just have my own personal way of getting that message across, that's all. Well, everyone knows what I write on a member's Star Day topic (everyone groans) and I'll try to make one for him here. This is mostly the best content I could think of to write a poem to fit brekclub85, although as usual, there are some generic verses here and there:
Quite a year this is for you;
It's time to learn to drive.
Make sure to wear a seatbelt though;
It's one way to stay alive.
I wonder what your snacks will be,
But I don't know your taste.
And if there's chocolate somewhere,
Please don't let it go to waste.
Sharpteeth praise this day for you,
And hope it's full of thrillers.
They have admired you intently,
Since you know they're not just "killers."
Greg sends you his best wishes,
But there's another thing in mind.
He hopes you might have grapes around,
And because that you are kind,
You know you'd better hide them,
'Cause they'll be bad for him to find...
Although they're still together,
Now their focus is anew.
They both care for one another,
And they feel the same for you.
Friends hope your day is special,
And Rory and Myra too.
Now one girl has a gift for you:
It's the warmest smile around.
She will always try to comfort you;
Rita's heart is thusly bound.
And when you seem to be alone,
She will see that you are found.
The Gang of Five is glad for you,
Your dino buddies too.
As you approach adulthood,
You will have much more to do.
Times can be more difficult;
We know that that is true.
But we are all your friends here,
So we'll help you see things through.
I really hope that I'm improving at all with these poems. Feedback is very welcome on any suggestions or anything else that should be brought to my attention with these. By the way, in case anyone was wondering who Greg, Rory, Myra, and Rita are, they are original characters that brekclub85 made that he uses in both of the fanfictions that he has currently written, "Sharptooth Valley" and "Total Drama Valley", except for Greg, who is only in "Sharptooth Valley." It would be a long story to explain what type of dinosaurs they are. Although they are the same characters in each fanfiction, they are different types of characters in each one. If you are curious how that worked out, and if you don't already know, you could always check those stories out to see for yourself. They will do the opposite of boring you from start to finish.
Have a pleasant time today. And if certain circumstances make that difficult, there is always the option of forcing yourself to enjoy it. That can be a hard thing to do, I know, but you'll get used to it eventually. I sure did after years of my brothers' having the worst taste in their birthday activities. Later!
