Hi! :)
As I mentioned elsewhere my Mum and I visited my sister in Hamburg this weekend. We celebrated my birthday on Saturday and I took many pictures over the weekend. I doubt most of those pictures would be of much interest to you, but on Sunday we visited "Hagenbecks", a famous zoo in Hamburg and I think some of the pictures taken there are quite nice ;)
Right at the entrance of the zoo is the elephant enclosure just look at them... which one is the elephant? :lol

Here is another one with my sister Maren:

Funnily enough these elephants were dancing. Just look at these videos. One of them "danced" mostly by nodding in a rhytm (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nF7AV33r3RI). The other one quite literally shook a leg (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NWLbIf9C1SM) ;)
Of course the animals were not the only ones around. Here are some of the other residents lined up for their fish:

Are you reading this Littlefoot? I'm sure you will like this family:

I think some annoyance over movies being overcrowded by penguins was expressed in the GOF before, but in real live these folks are just everything but an annoyance:

And apart from all these they had a couple of specimen contradicting most scientific discoveries of recent years, but which were still funny to look at ;)

Wow Malte! Those pictures can tell you had a jolly good time! :)

When I get enough money I'm gonna go to Germany.

Looks like an interesting place and that the group of you had a lot of fun there. Very well done and interesting to look at pictures too.
-
Those are some nice photos, and funny to, especially the first one :lol
Those dancing elephant's should charge by hour, they would make more profit :lol
It looks like you all had a great time, and for what it looks like it was a great day too.
You're making everyone want to visit the Zoo agian :p
:^.^:

Actually they sort of did charge
It is permitted to feed the elephants with fruit or vegetables. A keeper is always around to make sure the visitors don't give anything to the elephants that is not suited for them (bread, for example). The elephants are also trained to give Euro coins given to them (it is amazing how delicate little things they can hold with the "finger" on their trunk) to the keeper who in turn will give them some nice treat for elephants.

I heard they could do a lot with those, but not any detail what they could do.
