Erm... can't really say I'm hugely hooked on any particular movie sequels.

When it comes to movies, I kinda pick and choose them as they arrive.

Would love for there to be some new LBT content out there, depsite the ridicule it will likely get for being yet another LBT movie.

I played PT and remember being creeped out by it. Although, I didn't get jumpscared by the ghost lady from what I can remember.

I love the idea that a few code breakers have found a disturbing fact about the ghost in PT. The dead woman is actually always behind you the entire time, except when she is supposed to be in places where you can see. I.e. in the hall, on the balcony above you, in the main window.

Such a shame such an awesome concept and legendary team never got the chance to produce arguably one of the greatest survival horror games. Thanks Konami...

Plenty of games have had me leaping up in fright and for different reasons.  :duckyscared

Probably one my first proper VG scares I can remember was from an ancient BBC computer (yep, those existed) game called "Granny's Garden". The premise was you were a child, obviously, on the hunt for some... magical McGuffin (honestly can't remember) in a text and picture based styled adventure game for young kiddies. Although, you were stalked by "The Witch" your whole way through who was a blue faced evil hag with a single pixel for a soulless black eye and a nail-on-chalkbaord screeching tune accompanied her when she caught you. She was basically the game over state if do did too many things wrong. Looking at it now, it's about as scary as a fly striking a windshield would count as a jumpscare but to an infant child, this was some creepy stuff!  :littlefootscared

Speaking of jumpscares, as much as I hate to default to the hype machine, gotta say that the FNAF series really had me spooked the first time it actually hit our screen, almost literally. I avoided watching any FNAF videos on YouTube coz I hated the idea so something leaping at you, pointblank and screaming in your face!  :rhett_ohno Again, over it now but I had genuine nightmares and sleepless nights just thinking about the lying there, defenceless and alone in the dark with the idea that something could be lurking, waiting to leap out at you.

Amnesia: The Dark Descent was another title that basically robbed me of sleep coz the idea of something creeping around in a desolate castle just made my skin crawl. The atmosphere was sodding well dank and choking and the moment-to-moment, full raging scare sprints from monsters when they occurred, which was few and far between, were always very well crafted and got me every time. Again, another title I have since overcome and streamed on my Twitch channel so like to think I've bested that one too.

Can't wait to see what's gonna scare me next. Maybe the idea of a mid-life crisis? Now there's a scary thought :ChomperEww

That I have. And... this is where I might start alienating a few people  :spikeblush

I was at the start of the whole Pokemon/Digimon craze when it began (yes I am that old; shush!  :ChomperBurned) and given the two... I very much preferred Pokemon. Guess it was because I played more of the games and the watched the anime moreso than I did with Digimon.

Don't get me wrong, absolutely nothing wrong with Digimon and I liked it for what it was. Just, I pitched my camp on Pokemon's side of the river and kinda never looked back.

Ahh, going for the superlatives "this one or that one?" method eh?  :thinking

Well, technically I've already been scuba diving. Not very far as I don't have an official scuba clearance licence to go very deep but I do remember doing a bit of the training in a pool and a little whilst on holiday in Thailand years ago.

So, I suppose the idea of going skydiving would be another tick of the list as I've never done that before. I'm all for new experiences. Just hope my nerves wouldn't get the better of me. :rhett_smile

Nice job there PteranoStan!

Really nailed Grandma's sweet and caring tones there.

Land Before Time TV Series (2007) / Re: Is Rhett a villain?
« on: March 20, 2021, 05:58:32 AM »
Think I can agree with the majority of posts here.

Rhett is just your typical "all talk; no action" loudmouth kid that fancies himself bigger than he really is. A development of the super ego I guess (if I've got my philosophical terms right; probably not). Suppose we've all had those moments where think of ourselves as the best for a given situation and add a little bit of self-confident swagger to our actions; I know I have. But, as expected, the huff and bluster is quickly dissolved as many facades are in situations like this.

I do like that he is redeemable though and not just some power hungry numpty that doesn't learn. I liked this episode and it was interesting to see Littlefoot in a bit of a pout for a change rather than his always happy-go-lucky expression and being the attempted voice of reason.

By all mean @Flathead770, go for Pterano.

Better to have the choice of voices than defaulting just to one.

Give it a shot!

Off the back of the Animaniacs question, any particular favourite characters?

And, bonus question, what's your favourite Animaniacs sketch/joke? (Risk-que warning ahead of time if necessary  :^^spike)

If there was anywhere in the world you could go, Covid-secure of course, where would you go?

What would you do whilst you were out there?

What souvenirs would yuo bring back?

Uffff.... a tough one to be sure!

It would be a very slim toss-up between An American Tail and All Dogs Go to Heaven. Depending on the day I'm having will depend on which one comes out the victor.

Loving this idea!

I'm more than happy to reprise my role as Littlefoot again :)littlefoot

Failing that, to mix things up a bit, I'd be happy to give Pterano a try. Be interesting playing the villian as a change  :PteranoPlotting

Awesome! Yep I'm all for it!
Let's get another LBT VO project on the way!  :ChomperAmused

Not one movie but too many to count!

I'm a firm lover of all stretches of animation both hand drawn and CGI.

A few of my favourites that leap to mind (but not limited to):

- Other Don Bluth classics like: An American Tail, The Secret of NIHM, All Dogs Go to Heaven etc.
- Pixar's movies with particular attention to Finding Nemo, The Incredibles and (unpopular opinion) The Good Dinosaur
- Reems of Disney classics. Favs among them: Lilo and Stitch, Princess and the Frog, Fantasia, Robin Hood and more.
- The Nightmare Before Christmas

I could go on but I'll just end up boring people.

From one gamer to another, any scope for future releases? Or any games you'd like to get your hands on?

An interesting concept. Funny how Ducky doesn't look too bad in a more brownish hue but Petrie... looks a bit... sickly? Just purely from the aesthetics point of view.
Still, a lovely created piece there Mumbling! Top notch!  :bestsharptooth
