(In starting up, I think I'll say Hali's already been taken into the pride, just so it's easy with...uh forgot how you say your character name Rocky :oops but him :))
As the sun rose on yet another day in the Pridelands, Vitani exited the cave, still being somewhat of an early riser due to the drills she'd endured so much as a cub and her mother forcing her to get up.
She didn't have to get up anymore, but it was a hard habit to break and early morning was an interesting time of the day, before the day had begun and all was still a bit still.
The cub they'd found not long ago and which Vitani had taken it upon herself to watch over, Hali, still lay curled up and Vitani padded quietly by so as not to distrub her as she stood on the main rock (not the king's one though!) of Priderock, looking out at it.
To think, she'd almost let her mother try to destroy this beautiful place... she sighed.

it was then a male lion entered the pridelands " This was Kopa, the elder brother of Kiara and first born child of Simba, and thusly the next in line for the throne
he had been born during the first few chaotic weeks of Simbas rule and he had been quickly spirited out of the Pridelands by Raifiki's friend Nuteri, and his very existence had been kept hushed up, for his safety. he had missed all the events that had happened over the last few years including Kovu's courtship of Kiara and Ziras attempted overthrow of Simba. Kopa had missed all this, but now he was ready to come home..

A young adult lion with brown fur and a black mane approached Vitani. It was Kovu, her brother.
"To think," he smiled, "That a few weeks ago I wanted to kill Simba. Now I know, this place really is paradise on Earth."
"Morning Kovu, Morning Vitani," Kiara smiled, walking out of the cave. The second child of Simba and Nala was pleased at the peaceful state the lands were now in.

Mornings everyone said an older lion with a ed mane ' this was Simba the king of the Pridelands. ' Morning dear, morning Kovu , Morning Vitani, how are you all doing this fine morning? Zazu should be around shortly with his usual report..

Vitani smiled over at her brother, "I know...I still feel like it's...too good to be true ya know, and I'm gonna mess this perfect life of ours up" she sighed a bit yet smiled as Kiara walked out and nodded to Simba.
"All in all good, if I can put ghosts of the past behind me" she answered polite but also honestly.
A cub came rushing out next, little Hali, "I'm gonna go 'splore Vitani bye!" she called hurriedly on the way out.
Vitani quickly grabbed her by the scruff to just pause the cub, "Hold on, explore where?" she asked.
"Places" the cub answered with a smile. With a sigh Vitani gave in, "Ok, I'm sure the Pridelands are relatively safe enough" she smiled, "Go on".
"Thanks mom...uh Vitani" Hali said before running off. Vitani just smiled, not insulted by the slip up at all.

Hali continued on bounding through the grass of the Pridelands until she spotted something. Pausing and crouching down she slowly stalked nearer what seemed to be a dark shadow moving across the grass. The cub didn't worry at all at it being dangerous.

the dark shadow proved to be kopa who strode on slowly towards Pride Rock. Kopa was unaware that he was being watched. Go ahead Nuteri an announce me ' Kopa said to the old babboon " my young prince. you have never known this area. I took you away from here when you were very very young, for your own protection.. you will be starting at square one in many regards.. but at the same time, being the next king has many perks..you will get attention from all the available lionesses' Kopa chuckled " Nuteri that is the last thing on my mind right now..do I.. have any siblings..' You have a younger Sister.. but apart from that I am not allowed to say any more..we kept things very.. quiet when you were concerned.. '
So I have a ton of catching up to do huh..very well Kopa said taking a seat near the watering hole..

Damon sighed as he walked around Pride rock, paying little attention to the daily buzz. It had been a couple days since he and another Cub, Mikaila had been taken in. While Mikaila had embraced pride life, Damon only tolerated it for now. every time he tried to sneak away to leave the pride lands an annoying Mandrill named Rafiki kept popping up to stop him.
Rafiki laughed as he saw His old friend Neutari and the lion he immediately recognized as Kopa. "Well well, Neutari, it's been too long, and I see you've grown up big and strong Kopa." Rafiki said with a chuckle as he approached the two.
Timon and Pumbaa were off grub hunting, napping, and just living it up Hakuna Matata style. One of Simba' s first decree's had been that his two friends were not to be eaten by anyone in the pride lands.

Hali paused as she noticed the shadow for a grown lion. First off just because she didn't know him and wasn't sure if he would be a dangerous stranger or not. As he and the baboon began to speak the child remained still, head cocking in confusion at what they talked on. Prince...taken away?
Hali started to get the feeling she shouldn't be easedropping and so as Rafiki walked up, the cub backed up to turn and go, stepping on a branch as she did so though. She froze. Oh now she'd be in trouble...

Kopa turned at the branch snapped and grabbed the young Cub " oh ho we have ourselves an eavesdropper Nuteri' he said chuckling. 'and who might you be young one?" he asked gazing at Hali. Kopa was bigger than his father, but his face was warm and kind.. as befitting someone who has been trained by a mystic..

"You have a good kid," Kiara said to Vitani. "I can't wait to have a cub of my own one day..." she sighed happily.
"That's for later days," Kovu assured warmly. "Hey, I think something's happening out in the grass lands."

Vitani smiled at the praise. "She is something" she agreed, more praising Hali than herself.
It was amazing, even with Hali just being adopted in under Vitani's care, how much the cub had quickly trusted her and loved her back like a daughter. Vitani only worried that she didn't know what a good mother was suppose to do, right now she was just sort of going against everything she thought would have been right under what Zira had told her.

At first Hali all but squeaked as she was plucked up, but gazing up at this huge lion who held her, she found his face was more comforting than anything, alot like Simba's...
She swallowed and then answered, "Um...I'm Hali...sir" she said. She glanced from the lion to the baboon and even Rafiki. "I'm...uh, sorry if I heard somethin' I wasn't suppose to. I won't tell" she promised.

Makaila smiled as she trotted up to Vitani, ever since she was adopted by the pride, she had come to see Vitani as the mother she herself never had. Makaila's parents treated her like a princess, not their daughter, and it didn't hurt Makaila that they were dead. She even called Vitani mom. "Hi mom." Makaila said as she rubbed against The former outsider' s leg. Damon sighed as he saw this, he shook his head and walked away to be alone. He hated this pride, it was everything he and his mother and siblings were denied, he would've enjoyed like Makaila, but he couldn't without his family.

hush now Rafiki Nuteri rebuked him " we can't just let everyone know who he is now , can we? we were sworn to secrecy, after all. "
_ one cub won't make a big difference " Kopa replued looking at Hali, and gave her a smile. '" just heep quiet about this, young onem, for a few days, can you can tell all your friends, about how you met me..

"You're really raising her right," Kovu complimented his sister. Though this happy portion of his life hadn't been going on for all that long, he felt like he always belonged here.
"Wanna go on a morning hunt?" Kiara asked Vitani with a friendly smirk.

nuteri headed up towards pride Rock, and smile playing on his lips. The day he had hoped for for the past few years had finally arrived. Simba could not fail to recognize the obvous physical similarities between himself on his son, and he hoped Kiara would not take things too hard when it was revealed that, in fact, she was not the next in line to the throne, as she had been told all these years. Nuteri hoped that Kopa wouldn't try anything foolish upon meeting Kiara , out of ignorance of who she was.. he had to make a good impression, Nuteri thought..

"Hey, there's a lion arriving here and some baboon," Kovu pointed out, looking at the approaching Nuteri and Kopa.
"I don't know who they are..." Kiara replied, not realizing who Kopa was gonna be. The young lion appeared to be slightly older than her, and was probably from a far off land. Though there was something about this lion's eyes. Not that they were attractive...just that they reminded her of someone else's eyes for some reason....

Who's the newcomer? Simba asked as he came up behing his daughter and son-in-law. Never saw him before..." he said as he gazed at kopa. but there was definitely something familiar about him .. and as he came closer Simba drew back in shock. the physical similarity between him and this newcomer was readily apparent, the mane color, the fur color, the shape of the face, all these featured marked this lion as his son..Simba bit his lip, but said nothing for now.. He must go fetch Nala..

(Hey sorry, busy and then just trying to figure out where and how to put Hali since the edit, but going with her knowing "something" about newcomer, maybe not fully who he is...)
Vitani smiled, bending down to greet and nuzzle Makaila as well. She had to admit, having cubs look up to her as a mom was a rather nice feeling. She'd just nodded to take up Kiara's offer of a morning hunt when they were interrupted by a new lion approaching. At first Vitani backed up just a bit in not knowing who this newcomer was, yet then she noticed he seemed to have some similarities to Simba and just...a "Pridelanders look" as she would have said once.
Hali trotted along behind as this new lion she'd found approached Pride Rock, waiting just behind until she noticed Makaila and trotted over nearer her as everyone seemed frozen in this tense stand off of shock.

Good morning " Kopa said to them as he passed. 'i'm here to see the king..is he available.. he said and stopped as he saw Kiara ' well, hello there Beautiful' he said, a large smile on his face, which disappeared quickly as nuteri appeared ' right , business.. he muttered to himself..
Queen Nala appeared shortly afterwards, with Simba.. " Welcome to the Pridelands Nala said to him.. 'Who are you and what is your purpose here " My Name is Kopa, and i am here To succeed my father, as is my birthright.. nuteri here has raised me from a cub. You probably don't remember me mother.. ' nalas eyes widend in shock. ' i have had only one child, kiara.. she said tersely..' No you have had two. i was born in the first few weeks of Fathers rule, it was a very messy time, as the followers of Scar were not leaving willingly. it was into that tempest that I was born, ahead of schedule according to Nuteri. knowing how easy a target I would be if word leaked of my birth, nuteri spirited me out of the Pridelands, and my existence was never mentioned openly.I understand that i have a little sister,.. ' Yes she was the one you made eyes at just now Nuteri said coldly. kopa froze, his mouth twisted in revulsion..

You are going to need more than a finely tuned story" Nala replied to him. If you are who you say you are.. and I'm going to need more than just your word.. then there will have to be a number of changes..

Damon chuckled as he sat down next to Makaila, who as sitting next to Vitani and Hali. " Oh this outta be good for a laugh." Damon snickered as Makaila glared at him. "What, like he really is the long lost son of of King Hakuna Matata?" He asked as Makaila jabbed him. " Gezz Makaila, you hit hard." He grouned as he rubbed his arm. Timon and Pumba were also here, having come back to ask simba to sette of their bug disputes. Only to find a lion who claimed to be his son.

"I...have a brother?" Kiara said, taken in surprise. There was the chance this lion's story wasn't true, but she wanted to believe it.
At the same time, if it was true, she was grossed out how Kopa tried to make a move on her.

" It is rather hard to believe isn't it? came a familiar voice. it was Rafiki the mystic who had served several generations of Simbas family, how far back exactly Simba wasn't sure. "But sometimes the most improbable stories are nevertheless completely true.." he came up to Kopa, and grabbed on his mane and gazed deeply into his eyes.." so you think you are the son of the king, and the next king of the Pridelands, hm.. well why didn't you come back eariler.. "For my safety' Kopa replied "I missed everything that happened the last few years.. " ignorance leads to mistakes, of course.."rafiki said. 'but hopefully nothing that can't be repaired. "Rafiki, is he My SON' simba said, growing impatient.. " Rafiki sighed.. I am making sure Sire, but..right now.. I'd say yes..he has your eyes, the queen's smile and a tendency to fall out of trees." Kopa stared at him blankly.. " How did you.. "I have a gift for things like that.. now I would advise you not to make any more mistakes regarding your younger sibling. family bonds should only go so far after all.. and she has a mate.. which you have yet to meet.. Prince Kovu, come up here please.." Rafiki called.

"Um, sure," Kovu nodded, making haste in going over to the baboon.
"Yes Rafiki?" he smiled politely.

this is your brother-in-law, Kopa..' Rafiki said pointing to Kopa. " your highness, this is prince Kovu, your sister kiaras's mate..' hello Kopa said formally. ' er.. nice to meet you.

"Nice to meet you too," Kovu said, he and Kopa shaking paws.

Hali just stared in interest as the adults talked on this new lion who either was or wasn't the new prince. Wow, she'd found a prince. "I spotted him first" she smiled over at Makaila and Damon, not really bragging but just saying.
Vitani heard both the kid's statement, Hali's and Damon's about not believing this lion was Simba's son and thought about gently reminding the cubs of manners and not saying such even if you didn't think you'd be overheard. She let the kids alone though and just watched as Rafiki walked up to apparently confirm all of this. Wow, so Simba had had a son... Vitani felt a bit guilt that she knew it was probably the threat her mother had posed which caused Kopa to be "spirited away".

So do you have any siblings Kovu? Kopa asked. "and Kiara, sorry about the whole making a pass at you, I didn't know who you were .. so please don't hold it against me " He said.
Vitabi? Rafiki said going over to her ' Go up to the prince and introduce yourself..

"Does this mean everything will change?" Makaila asked. Damon grinned like the perverbial chesuire cat. " I'll tell you what ths means Makaila, run cause as soon as he takes over, every one of us cubs are on his hit list." He said, hoping toget a rise. "Why?" Makaila asked, partly dreading the answer. " Duh Princess, every lion know the first thing you do when taking over a pride is to kill all the cubs from your predicecer's reign. " He said with a grin. "Well that includes you!" she pointed out. "Nope, cause I'm out of here know, you and hali can come if you can keep up." He grinned. "Stop it Damon, mom would never let anything bad happen to us." Makaila defended. " O yeah, lions are stronger than lionesses, she'd get killed in round one." He snickered, and I'd be safe and sound away from here." He grined as he trotted away to make his cruel joke sound convincing.

"It's ok brother..." Kiara replied. "Just never do it again," she added with a wicked smirk.
"This is my sister Vitani," Kovu introduced. "I...had an older brother named Nuka...but he's not with us anymore," he added, his voice going soft.

The proince will not do any of that, it is only when i rival claimant takes over the throne. when a son suceeds a father, there is no killing. nuteri said rebuking Damon " why would you say suck a wicked thing?

"A wicked sense of humor." Damon snicked as he turned around. "And you just spoiled the fun" He said to Nutari.

As she was introduced by Kovu, Vitani stepped forward with a small nod, "How do you do". She said.
Hali frowned but decided that she didn't believe what Damon had said, and as Nuteri backed up that that wouldn't happen she felt eve better and just decided she would ignore Damon, "Yeah, well I knew the nice lion I ran into wouldn't do such" she told Makaila.

Nice to meet you Vitani. Kopa said " are all those cubs yours? he asked out of curiousity. ' i think i ran into one of them on my way here, her name was Hali I believe.."

Vitani smiled back at the cubs as Kopa asked his question. "Yes. They were all on their own and the Pride as a whole took them in, but in Hali and Makaila's case atleast they've come to think of me as their mother and I think the same" she smiled.
Hali heard herself be mentioned and walked up, "Yeah, I bumped into him first but I wasn't suppose to say anything until he told some secret which I guess he just did" she smiled.

so they are adopted.. hmm well Hali seems like shes a good cub. I've yet to met the others, but I'm sure I will, in due time " Kopa said. 'Its a pleasure meeting you Vitani, if I may be so bold, I'd say you've done a good job so far in raising them.." He added as he turned and headed toards the royal cave at the back of Pride Rock..

same here, you should fill me in on what i've missed. we have a lot of catching up to do, and you could give me pointers on which lionesses could be a good match for me..' he chuckled. " but for now i'll need sometime to just settle in..

Damon snickered. " Oh this is good, I see Kopa and kovu fighting each other for domenince in the future." He laughed. Makaila sighed. " Damon, why can't you say something nice?" She groaned. "I am Makaila, you don't wanna see what I consider mean." He chuckled as he grinned. "really Damon, why can't you be grateful, you are so lucky Mom isn't one of those Lions who kills cubs they don't know." Makaila said. Damon growled before he tackled her. the two cubs tumbled around before Damon landed on top. "Ha, pin ya." He said in a arrogent tone. "You can't pin me makaila." He said as tried, and failed again. "Pinned ya again." Daman said as Makaila got up. "Now if you exuse me, I'm going to get some food." Damon said as he went off to look for some baby birds to snack on.

"Why are you such a brat?" Kovu asked Damon before he left to hunt. "Tell, me, I'm curious."

"That ain't none of your buisness." Damon snarled defensivly as he headed off to do his own hunting. Even after being taken in by the pride, he still insisted on taking care of himself.
Makail sighed. "Uncle Kovu, maybe something terrible happened to make Damon this way." Makaila said as she rubbed up againist Kovu's leg.
"Hey Simba, we got a little Problem that needs resolved." Timon said. Pumbaa nodded in agreement. "Yea, which bugs are better, slimey or crunchy?" He asked Simba, like they did back when it was just the three of them. "Yeah, since your a king and our best friend you are clearly the best one to decide." Timon said as he crossed his arms.

Guys , what will you do when I'm no longer king' Simba chuckled ' My reign is going to end next spring after all. as for which are better, I always liked crunchy bugs..

"Perhaps," Kovu nodded with a sigh, nuzzling his niece in reply.
"Who knew I had a brother all this time?" Kiara said, staring up at the sky.

(Would you guys mind if I join in? First off I am really sorry that I haven't been on in such a long time. Most of that has to do with me going to too many forums. Right now I am a member of like 20 forums.....and I am trying to stay active in every one of them every day. But I swear I will start coming here more often then I did.)

"So, even if your reign comes to an end, you'll still be a king." Pumbaa said. "Yeah, and remember Hakuna Matata." Timon said as the two walked off.
Damon smiled as he finished hunting, he had eaten serveral baby birds and was full. He had also killed and eaten a few mama birds, however one who was smart enough to fly away flew to pride Rock and landed in front of the king. "Your Majasty, That Black furred lion cub you took in named Damon killed and ate my babys and serveral other birds and their babys." She chirped in anger, unaware damon was right behind her. Damon was full, but he could still squeeze in one more. He Pounced on the bird, who was fering for it's life. "If you want, I can reunite you with your baby's." He said.

(Thank You so Much. Now if I recall in the last Lion King roleplay I played as a cub named Ramiki who was Vitani's adopted son so I am just gonna skip ahead and say that Ramiki is now Hali's brother)
Ramiki slowly woke up. As of late for one reason or another now a days Ramiki always tended to sleep in more. Ramiki looked around to notice how Hali and Vitani were missing. Ramiki yawns as he gets up to stretch. And then he smiles. He would just have to find them himself. Maybe he could sneak up on one of them and give them a bit of a scare. It was a game to Ramiki

Kiara frowned.
"You can't attack an animal who came to Pride Rock with a complaint, Damon," she said, with a dash of scolding.

Danmon, you do not threaten to harm those who come to talk with me, is that understood?' Simba said, he was clearly not pleased. "We only eat when we have to, we do not kill needlessly..We have a code we live by, yes he eat some of grass-eaters and wildeebeasts but only when we have need..and leave us, i need to talk with her in private..

Damon was shocked. "Why do any of you care about the troubles of Prey animals?" He asked. The black furred cub was confused. "Birds are Prey, they exsist only to be eaten." He said as he looked Kiara straight in the eyes.
Makaila smiled at her uncle Kovu and saw Ramiki was up. "Gottcha!" She laughed tackling him, starting a play fight.

(I have a question would you mind if Ramiki calls her "Maka"? This is mostly for me because I am horrible with spelling and I don't want to end up spelling Makalia wrong time after time. ;) )
Ramiki growls playfully and uses his hind paws to playfully kick Makalia off him. He crouched low to the ground growling playfully and pounced on her playfully. "No, it looks to me like I GOT You" He said playfully tugging at her right ear.

Kovu sighed. He couldn't get why Damon was like this.
"You have a lot to learn." he said to the cub, "And don't underestimate me when I say "a lot."

Damon looked to the ground as he heard what Kovu said. "Why do even care what happens to a few meezly birds?" He asked. "We're lions, all other animals are food, this whole royal act is againist the laws of Nature." He said. " We're predators, not royality. we hunt when hungry." He said, as if he were arguing with himself. He kept mumbing till he felt a pain in his head. "No, I'm not a weakling Leo, no don't make s kill her, please stop!" He said as he started to break down in tears.
Makaila laughed as she managed to roll onto her back, pinning Ramiki. " Gotcha again." She said playfully to her Adopted brother before she noticed Damon, she motioned for Ramiki to follow her. "King Simba, what is wrong?" She asked.
" Wow, he must of had some bad bugs or something." Timon said. " I don't know Timon, He looks like he's reliving a traumatic part of his early cubhood brought on by a clash of conflicting teachings." Pumbaa said.

On the highest rock of Pride Rock, a large black raven looked down below at the royal family, taking in every sight and every word. It then took to the blue sky, heading east...

Ramiki follows Makalia and plops down beside her. He had no idea what was going on but something in his body told him something was very very bad. He wondered if King Simba would tell them what was going on or to just "Go play"

Simba turned and motioned to the mother bird to follow him inside
so i take it damon attacked your children?' he frowned "he will be made to apologize, I assure you , madame bird.

" Not just attacked, he killed and ate them too, they only hatched today!" She chirped angryly, getting up into the kings face unintentionally before realizing what she did. " Fogive My King, but I spent so long hatching them, so long waiting to have my first chicks, but that monster killed them mere moments after they hatched and ate them for food, and I wasn't the only bird who's nest he knocked out of the tree, but I was the only one who came here rather than attack him." She said.
Damon shook his head as Makaila tapped him. "Are you OK?" She asked, geniunly concerned for him. "I'm fine, just old nightmares." Damon said as he sulked off to the top of pride rock.

"He really disturbs me," Kiara said to Kovu "No cub should be messed up that badly."
"I'll speak to your father about him soon," Kovu assured his mate, patting her on the back. "At least, when we have cubs, they'll have a happy cubhood."

MEANWHILE.......
Rafiki's tree was, though most of the other animals didn't really care, fairly hollow. And in one spot within the trunk rested a young lion. Slightly older than Kovu, Vitani, and Kiara, but still considered to be in his youth. He had a black mane that hadn't fully grown. It was Nuka, the oldest child of Zira and Scar.
A few months ago, Nuka thought it was the end when some logs had fallen on him, and his world went black. But some time later, he had no idea how much later...he opened his eyes. He hurt all over, but he felt someone carrying him somewhere. "Who....are...you?" Nuka managed to weakly say, but before being "shushed" by Rafiki, telling him to save his strength.

"Hey Rafiki," Nuka said in the present, almost at a full recovery now.

And how are you feeling Nuka?' Rafiki grinned ' soon it will be time to reintroduce you to the world.. you won't be the only new lion around either.. We just had a very important new arrival come in ' Rafiki said..

"Really?" Nuka asked, rolling over, that still made him a bit sore. "Who?"
"I'm feeling better...at least, compared to when you first found me. I wonder what Vitani and Kovu will think...."

Kiaras elder brother.. yes she actually HAS a brother.. not many knew about him because when he was born your mother and her followers were making things very tough for Simba, so my friend Nuteri took him out of the Pridelands and kept his existence quiet until he was old enough to return. Hes roughly your age.." Rafiki said " His name is Kopa.. in case you are wondering.."

"Really?" Nuka replied, raising an eyebrow, "Neat."
"So, how are you going to make sure Simba doesn't attack me when I show myself? Last time he saw me, we weren't exactly on the same side...."

well, I think enough time has passed for things to start to heal between the two of you. You didn't participate in your mothers attempted takeover afterall.. The important thing, is being on good terms with Kopa, he is going to take over the Kingdom in the spring..and hopefully your siblings will be happy to see you..

"i'll be glad to see them too, even that termite Kovu," Nuka said with a little laugh. "So, what's for dinner tonight?"

The Usual, I'm Afriad, Berries abd bark, mixed with some leftover willdebeast ' Rafiki sighed. 'oNce you are fully healed you'll be able to hunt..

"Heh..yeah," Nuka laughed, "When I get better I'll probably be assigned to work with the lionesses."
But nevertheless, Nuka was grateful for the meal and began eating.

speaking off lionesses, as one of the royal family, you'll be given your choice of mates..' Rafiki said.. " or are you too much of a bachelor yet..

"Well, I see what the pride has to offer," Nuka smiled between bites.

Kopa came up to visit his mother ' it has been a long time mother, far too long " he said solemnly.

Kopa warmly embraced and nuzzled his sister. " I'm so happy to have a little sister" He said smiling warmly. and Simba hugged both his children in turn.. "I'm happy to have my entire family back

Makaila had mad her way to Rafiki's tree. The black furred lioness cub was worried about Damon, and since Rafiki was wise, she was sure he could Help. "Sir Rafiki, are you up there?" She shouted up into the tree. "I need your help, it's my friend Damon, I'm worried about him." She howlered as she sat and waited.
Damon had drifted asleep, his mind racing in a blur of seemingly random images. Suddenly he shot up in a panic sweat as he saw he was still at pride rock. 'when will these nightmares stop.' He thought to himself.

"Really?" She asked, sitting up. Before anyone could answer, she remembered why she came. " Damon needs help, you must come quickly Sir Rafiki." Makaila said urgently as she started off.

Thank Nuteri for making me run constantly.. Kopa replied as he drew even. he was quite a bit larger than Kiara was, and gave her a knowing glance " you have mom's eyes, and i don't blame Kovu for falling for you." He added. " How did you meet anyway? As i said i have a lot of catching up to do..

"Well, we met briefly as cubs," Kiara began to recall, "I snuck away from Timon and Pumbaa, who were sent by dad to watch me, and went into the outlands. I quite literally bumped into him, and we soon began playing together-by evading some alligators. But when dad and his mother caught us playing, they quickly showed up, got into a fight, then they took us back to our respective homes."
She sighed, "I never saw him again for over a year. You see, when I was out on my first hunt-he was part of a plan by Zira to kill dad, but don't worry, he's changed, don't get ticked at him. I got caught in a fire that his siblings started, but then he saved me-albeit that was part of his mother's plan. But as the days went on, Kovu grew to really like me as a friend, and then we both began to feel love for each other-thank Rafiki for that. But then the Outlands pride caught dad in an ambush, and tried to kill him-Kovu's brother even died doing so. Dad thought Kovu was involved in it, even though I knew he wasn't-and exiled him."
"I was so angry at father then I felt I could never forgive him. But then I was able to sneak away from Pride Rock, and I reunited with Kovu. We considered running away, but I knew we needed to go back. Just in time too-it was an all out war. But luckily Kovu and I were able to get the prides to stop fighting and pretty much all of the Outlanders went to our side. Except for Zira-she made one last move, but I stopped her, and she began to fall down a cliff into some raging rapids. I tried to save her....really I did...but she wouldn't accept my help and dropped to her death."
"That's my story," Kiara concluded with a deep breath in.

"Like I told you, he had an older brother, Nuka, but he's dead now. He got crushed by logs when he tried to kill dad. Don't really talk to Vitani or Kovu about that. They'd rather not have it brought up. Though Nuka didn't really change from what dad told me, they did care for him..."

Well beyond the pridelands stood a group of lionesses, surrounding a lion with another male who looked just barely out of his cubhood. " We found her sire, but she is under King Simba's Protection." The lead lioness said, bowwing to the Preteen lion. " It matter's not, the son of Mufasa with not risk war for the sake of one cub, especially one who was promised to me by Her father, King Taka. I will Have the princess Makaila, and nothing will stand in my way." He said. " Not even the lion of ash and soot?" Another lioness replied. " You obey that old shamen over your prince, or me, your king ?" Zarkon asked. " No sire, I ment no disrespect to either upu or prince Lokar. " She answered. With that they began their three day trek to the Pridelands.

Yes, Prince Kopa is not the onlt lion being reintroduced inti the royal family " rafiki said, as he wattched Kovu's and Vitanis reactions. " I saved his life after he was flattened by those falling logs. It was not an easy process, fortunately I am quite skilled at healing.." the old baboon smiled.

"N...n....Nuka?!" the two former outlander siblings gasped in a perfect blending of shock of joy. Their jaws fell open, almost to an unhealthy extent.

Ramiki was just about to give up . Maybe he was just looking for her in the wrong place. The pridelands were very big or maybe she was just hiding to take Ramiki by surprise. But just then he was knocked off his feet by an all to familiar pounce. "Oooooooooooooooooooooffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff" Ramiki grunted as he was tackled by his favorite sister/Best friend. "There you are I have been looking for you all over" Ramiki said giving her a friendly lick on the cheek just happy to see her again. "So you wanna play something? I'm good with anything. All the adults here are kinda boring right now. So what do you say, Ya wanna play? Huh? Do Ya? Do ya? Do ya? I'll even let you choose the game" Ramiki said moving his hind paws under Makalia in an effort to get her off him playfully.

Well i doubt it's ever been done before, but my reasoning in this. You were raised to rule youe entire life, believing you were the next in line. your mate, was also raised to rule..Now I come in after all these years and blow all that up. its not fair to you to deprive you of your title as queen..just because some lion which you had never known existed comes out of nowhere and reveals himself to be your brother..no, you must rule with me Kiara. I'm not sure if Dad will go with it..but i think it could work.

You are on good terms with your sister, but whoever has cubs first, will be the next in line.

Rafiki went into his tree and began bigging around
every gebneration he painted the generations of ciubs and the names of the pride onto the bark of the tree
once they were grown he peeled the bartk off and waited for new bark to grow underneath
so he had a long list of cubs anbd gernerations put away...lets see now..he said beginning to search through the records.

Sire i have found a brother sister pairing, 14 generations ago. so roughly 300 years give or take.. upendi and salaam, they ruled together for 25 years..they had mates upendi had 3 cubs sallam had 1 with his mate. i am going to keep looking, but from what i have read there were others as well..even further back..

Everyone was aware it was somewhat of a bombshell for Simba to learn that both his kids were friends with the creatures who tried to kill him as a cub.

I expect to be a grandfather before too long, and then I can relax and spoil my grandchildren rotten!' he laughed again.

" Simba, I know it's late but I need to talk to you." He said, his eyes looking to the ground in shame. " I Know I've been a jerk but I think I need someone to talk to." He said to the king.

Damon laied currled up alone until Makaila curled up next to him. Damon looked up, but laid back down after he saw who it was. Damon drifted off to sleep as Makaila soon drifted off to sleep.

Damon winced as the sunrise woke him up. the young cub carefully got up, so as not to wake makaila. He walked into the Den and carefully made his way to rock Simba and Nala slept on, He the sat down at the base ad waited for them to wake up.

Kopa was the first of the royal family to stir. hyis years with Nuteri had made him intoi an early riser, he was usually up right at sunrise, or just after. The Crowb prince stretched and went out of the cave, abd looked around, and was startled to see Damon sitting at the base of pride rock. " So what can I do for you,m Rocky? said with a yawn. " why are you up so early?

"Just waiting for your father to wake up, I have alot I need to get off my chest." Damon told the prince. "I'd rather say it once the whole pride wakes up, I don't think I can take reliving it more than once." He said the prince.

' Kopa replied.As far as relieving painful memories, all you cvan do about that is accept that this happened to you, and it will always be with you to a degree, but it does not define who you are..

Damon sighed. He thought about waiting, but Kopa's offer seemed more appealing, besides Kopa deserved to know the truth. "Very well, Brace yourself, and get ready to be disturbed." He said, hanging his head low. " My Father is Leo, a canibal lion as well as the son of Scar and Zira." He told Kopa. " I was born in a cave not too far from where Zira and her group lived. Me, my brothers and my sisters lived in fear of leo. Our mother, a lioness named Zuri did her best to comfort us, but as soon as we were old enough to eat meat and our mother too weak to bear him more cubs, Leo forced us all to consume her." Damon said as tears flowed from his eyes. "He then forced us to fight each other, then he threw us into an underground river. I alone survived." Damon said. "It was then he named me, up until then none of us had names. He then pushed me even harder, training me to be as bad as evil as him. He drilled into me that we were preadators, not royalty, that titles like kind made lion prides weak." He explained.

Scar had no children, which is why kovu was selected as his heir, well that and Nuka wasn't king material." kopa replied. ' if your father was indeed scars son, then why did scar name kovu his heir? By all traditions, if a king has a son, that son inherits his kingdom. I find that part of your story to be very very unlikely as it goes against everything i know of scar. He was my great-Uncle, in case you are wondering. the part about your father doing terible things to you and your siblings, that i can believe as you show all the signs of dealing with trauma, and not very well i might add..Your father is absolutely deranged, we are predators yes, but we don't eat our own kind, its simply not done..we eat prey like wildebeest, gazelles and the like.. i'n sorry damon that this has happened to you, but you cannot deride yourself as a moinster because of it. Nor can you act unkindly to the other members of this pride, and you certainly cannot backtalk to any of the royal family, be it my father, mother, myself kiara, or kovu..we will not put up with it. you have a home here damon, in this pride, but only if you want it. if you don't want to be here, just say so, and we;ll find another pride to take you in..' Kopa replied.

" Because Leo was disowned, and Scar decreed that no one was to speak of leo again. To Leo, scar was weak because he was a king, and it didn't help that Scar has poor leadership skills, I bet your parents told you how aweful if was." Damon said. He listiened to Kopa's words, taking them in. He dried his tears and smiled sheepishly. "No, this pride is my family by blood, granted a evil bloodline, but still family." Damon said as he looked up. " Besides, your right, But after he abandoned me, I just wanted to find a place where I could just lay down and die. I thought if I was a jerk, no one would want me around or miss me should I die an unnatural death, but I see now that I've been letting my guilt and fears have too much Power over me, so much that I was missing out on all the good oppertunities I have now." He said as he rubbed up againist Kopa's leg. "Thanks ugh.. Prince Kopa, for everything. I promise that from now on, I'll treat everyone around here beter."

Kovu was still sleeping. He was the type of lion who liked rest. Kopa and Damon's conversation didn't stir him.

" I'm an Early Riser Kopa, always have been. If i get tired later I'll take a nap, but I'm wide awake now he said as he started to exit the den. "I'm going to get breakfest and I'm feeling like grubs, oh and Kopa, Make sure Makaila is never told what I told you, Leo killed her Parents." He said as he headed out to go grub hunting. He loved them, easy to catch, good source of protein.

She will have to be told at some point Damon, or she'll find out for herself" Kopa shook his head. ' Yiou can't hide something like that away forever, no matter how hard you try.. it has a way of coming out.."

"Later, I'd rather she doesn't find out now Kopa. When we're older, I'll tell her myself, so promise you'll do your best to keep it from her." He said as he left to scavenge for food. Most cubs would eat what they were brought, Damon preferred to be self reliant, carry his own weight early so he'd be better once he was older. He found a great meal. He killed a porcupine. It was tricky but do able, after picking the quills out, and getting a few stuck in his paw, but not too deep, just under the skin, Damon ate it. Damon saved some meat for Mikaila, and only had a few nibbles. So when Damon found some grubs, he was plenty hungry, he threw the Porcupine's body on his back and returned to pride rock, his..home. yeah that had a nice ring to it. He arrived just as Makaila was starting to wake up, Damon quickly put the food in front of her. "Damon what's this?" The lioness cub asked. "My way of saying I'm sorry for being such a jerk, I was letting my personal problems have too much power over me, it's time I stopped worrying about the past and enjoy life, it's all yours so dig in." He said as Makaila blinked before eating the porcupine. " Ummm, this is good, what is it?" She asked. "Porcupine, killed it my self." Damon answered with a proud smile as Makaila sat in awe at her friend's accomplishment.

Kiara and Kovu were the next to awake.
Kiara had subtely listened in on Damon's conversation with Kopa. "Hopefully he'll finally calm down..." she sighed.

Simba was the next to wake up. He stretched as he headed out of the cave, and saw his son looking out over the kingfom. ' Up already/ he yawned.. " Force of habit. Nuteri always had me up by sunrise, if it wasn't to train my relexes, work on my strength and stamanina, it was to contemplate things and my place in all of them. so for one reason or another, i was always up this early.."
_ Nuteri worked you hard then. i wasn't really trained at all growing up , as you know. I let life go on without a care in the world, well, until your mother happened to run into me. lucky for you that she did." simba said ' so what have I missed? ' well Damon confided some things in me, that he asked to keep quiet from makaila.. he says his father was Scars son.. "
Scar never had any kids.. otherwise he never would have chosen Kovu as his heir. When a king has cubs, they inherit from him, well the elder one does if there is more than one. " simba said ' thats why my father inherited the throne and Scar was the spare. ' Simba said Kopa nodded and continued."Anyway he says Scar disowned him and forbade anyone to mention him. Leo- Thats his name- happens to be a cannibal.. Simbas eyes grew wide in horror. ' so the son was even more twisted than the father, and i didn't think that was possible..

So when does Zazu arrive in the mornings/ Kopa asked. For his daily report? it shouldn't be long.. he always comes early in the mornings tio keep me up to date. the last few weeks have rather, strenous.. you see there a pait of nesting birds in a tree in the middle of the kingdom. their family has nested there for generations, passed down from mother to daughter. both birds want the nest, but by family tradition, only one can have it.Well both the birds are female, one is nice respectful and quiet, the other is brash, loud and arrogant. I've been trying to find a solution to the problem for weeks. but the elder one won';t accept anything that forces her to move, as i prefer the younger bird have the nest..if zazu reports that they are still a problem, i may just climb up there and rip the nest in half and tell them to pick a half.."
_ Do its the older bird who's a pain in the tail.." Kopa sighed.. " Yes, you'll have to deal with situations like this yourself in a few years..

having a dather-son moment' Nala said coming up to them. ' not really dear, just relling him about the problemns I've been having with those birds.. "Simba replied. Nala rolled her eyes and sighed. " that bird complaimns about everything! The size of the nest, the height of the branch, the amount of sun the nest gets..and keeps blabbing about her familys traditions! my familys always done this and that..arghh.. if she doesn't stop complaining very soon, i'm probably just going to have to eat her, just to put a stop to it.. the younger bird deserves the nest, shes a very nice young bird, almost always says hello to me when i'm passing by..

Damon smiled as he and Makaila walked into Simba resoling the bird thing. Damon kind of got the Picture that two birds wanted the same nest. Then he got an Idea. "Excuse me King Simba, but I have an Idea." Damon said, giving a proper bow. " How about decree the nest be torn in half, and should one bird decide they'd rather leave then have the nest destroyed, then that bird gets the nest?"The cub asked. "Yeah." Makaila agreed. "wouldn't that be better?" She asked Simba, bowing alongside Damon.

Thats one possible answer. why don;'t we have Kiara and Kovu add thier thoughts on the matter? Kopa replied.. ' another option is forcing the older bird out and having her build a new nest at another spot on the tree..and letting the younger bird keep the old one..

"What's the situation we are dealing with?" Kiara asked with a smile.
"Maybe we could try to create a replica nest," Kovu suggested.

Well, heres the problem. theres a pair of female birds fighting over whgo gets thier family nest in a tree. the nest has been there for generations, and by tradition, only one of the birds (who are both female) get it. the older bird has been constantly complaining, disrespectful and difficult to deal with. the younger bird has been quiet, respectful and willing to move out if asked. so its pretty obvious which bird should get it, how to get that into place, has been the issue..' Simba said.. " the older bird simply refuses to budge...and so we've been deadlocked like that for about 3 weeks now.."

"Well, we're lions," Vitani said, walking up to Simba, "Couldn't we intimidate the jerky bird away."
"That could work," Kovu smiled.

" We can't do that Mom, that's mean." Makaila said, rubbing her adopted Mother's side. "Yeah, Makaila's right, what kind of great king would do that, oh wait I know, Scar." Damon said.

Scar wasn't a great king' Kopa said getting up and moving from his spor.. " He was a horrible king. he ran this kingdom into the ground, and was willing to let everyone in it starve.. And Zira would probably have been worse had her plan of regicide been sucessful. No king or queen can ever be considered "great' after murdering the kingdom's rightful ruler."

Normaly only the king deals with these issues ' Nala said to the cubs. ' and does not ask for help unless he is completely stuck. so don';t presume the king will be asking for your imput regularly, damon and makaila. make this count, kids..' she added.

"Yes Nala." The two cubs said. Makaila still thought it was wrong to force anyone to leave, if the younger bird was willing to move out, why not let her. "Simba, you told us the oldest child of the king becomes his successor, is their family Tradition the same?" Makaila asked as she rubbed the Kings leg. "You already said the younger bird is willing to move out, so why not do that?" She asked Simba.

in this family of birds, only one of the birds can live in the nest, and the younger one is the one we'f rather have in the nest. Shes been far more respectful helpful and willing to do her part in this than her older sibling. it is the older bird who is in the wrong here. and it is not as if this is a new problem, i have spent weeks on this matter and to be brutally honest I am beyond tired of it. at this point, i will probably be forced to use force in this matter, and force the older bird out..

" Well isn't that unfair?" Makaila asked. " What if the Bird Family's tradition already has something to decide who gets the Nest?" She asked Simba. " What if their tadition says the older bird gets the nest." Makila asked he king. "Or Maybe they could change the tradition if the nest is big enough for two birds." She offered with a smile. Makaila was trying to propose alternitives to being mean by forcing one bird out.

tradition is usually very important Makaila' Simba replied. 'the family tradition, says nothing about who gets the nest, only that if two birds live in the nest at the same time, that only one may possess it, the other has to leave. the older one, in this case has proven herself unfit to get the nest by her conduct in this matter. simply being the older one, in this case, does not guarantee that they will get the nest, conduct plays a role as well..and her conduct has been horrible and extremely disrespectful. because of the family tradition, someone has to leave..it is not about being mean, my dear, but rather because tradition gives no alternative. as for changing the tradition, the elder bird has rejected that option, when I brought that up, she angrily said no.The nest, also, is too small for two birds to share comfortably..so, the truth is, there is no choice here. one bird must leave the nest, to go elsewhere in the tree.and i will insist that it be the older bird , who has been such an annoyance through this matter.

" Can't the nest be made bigger?" Makaila asked, hoping to pitch one last alternative to forcing one bird to leave. " I'm sure the birds will concent to that." She said with a hopeful smile.

there is no alternative " kopa replied. " one bird MUST leave Makaila, the king has spent more than enough time trying to find an agreeable solution to this. He's spent WEEKS on this, and making the nest bigger doesn't really address the matter. by their own tradition, the two birds cannot share the nest. so what we are going to do today is announce the kings ruling and enforce it.'
you have a good heart my dear' Nuteri said coming up to them. he had heard most of the discussion from where he had been seated. 'but in this case sentiment doesn't really apply. the birds must be seperated, and frankly, i'm surprised that the king didn't do this weeks ago..

"Yup, one has to go, there's no arguing that," he nodded.

"Well I for one have already had enough Traditions to last me a lifetime!" Makaila said as She huffed out of the Den. Her head and tail held up in in indignation. "Wow what's with her?" Timon asked. Damon was surprised. "You mean she hasn't told you yet?" He asked them. " Told us what?" Pumbaa asked. Damon sighed. Makaila was going to kill him, but he figured they deserved to know. " Back when it was just her and me, she told me her Birth Pride had all sorts of stupid Traditions like Makaila had to bow to her own father and talk to him like she was one of his subjects, or that they never once told her that they loved her, or that she was never allowed to play, because they said royalty do not play. She was a princess first and foremost and a daughter never. Her whole life was dictated by traditions, even after her pride was forced to become Nomads." Damon said. "And all this talk about Tradition this and Tradition that Probally made her remember all that stuff." He explained to them.

I understand having her learn the rules and traditions of the pride, but to only focus on that, and not give her the freedom to be a cub, and play around? i couldn't see myself doing that."

He has been a good pupil up to this point, i have trained him to be in tune with the world around us..and i haven't exactly been the only one keeping an eye on him all these years sire..he has been touched by beings far wiser than me.." Nuteri gave the king a nod and slowly walked down the slope.. "You will be a grandfather someday soon, sire, and we're not talking one cub here, you will have plenty of them to spoil" He laughed. "Love gives many gifts sire, remember that, ha ha.' Nuteri chuckled as he finished walking away.

Kopa meanwhile was finishing his run around the kingdom, unaware of what was going on with the other group Running was a way for him to focus within, a place for him to reflect about himself as a lion, rather than on his place in everything..so far, he thought the transition to being a prince was going well. he had the makings of good relationships with both kiara and Kovu. he was beginning to date vitani, whom he really liked, when he gave it some thought..

Kopa turned and looked at Vitani and Nuka, both looked like they were about to burst from laughter...

yeah, nuteri's made me run more than a few laps in his time especially after arguing with him.. not sure that he has the same sway here kopa said, gazing intently at his father who was now covers mane to tail in the stuff and was getting it rubbed in.. the smell was pretty strong and simba's eyes began to water..

Simba returned to Pride Rock to rest , and get adjusted to his new appearance.. Nala gave him a wide berth as he found his favorite resting spot.

Straffe roamed the area near Pride Rock, simply minding his own business. He had just finished a snack and was now just moseying around, taking in the scenery. "It sure is peaceful around here," he smiled. "I wonder how long this will last." Straffe really didn't have a destination he was heading towards. He simply just wondered around wherever it felt right. Having finally become old enough to go out on his own (20 in human years), Straffe had set out from his herd on his own as part of his family's tradition. "I should think of interesting stories to tell my parents when I see them again."

kopa followed the others, they were walking in a line, Kovu and Kiara in front followed by vitani and Nuka. Kopa had not hunted in the Pridelands prior to this ' i've never hunted here before.. i've hunted prey elsewhere, of course, but this is my first time here.. so for the most part i'll just watch and learn ' he said to the others..

Ramiki one of Vitani's adopted cubs had taken notice of Vitani leaving he smirks evilly maybe he could take her by surprise. The one thing he loved more then his mom was playing. Maybe he could give her a little scare. But, he'd have to be careful and very quiet. Ramiki crept through the grass after the others careful to not make any sounds at all.

Vitani thought she heard a noise. "Ramiki...." she smiled to herself.

Ramiki smiles to himself thinking she must have had no idea about him hiding. Now, was the perfect time to pounce. He crouches down redlining himself to pounce at any moment. He then leaped out of the grass in an effort to playfully pounce his mom " Gotcha! Did I scare you mommy? Huh? Huh? Did I"? He asked with a happy smile feeling a bit proud of himself.

While wondering around, Straffe noticed a small group of lions and lionesses near him. From the sound of it, they were going on a hunting expedition, but he couldn't tell where exactly they were coming from. "I wonder who they are," he muttered to himself. Natural instinct would have told him to go introduce himself to them, but he didn't want to be rude and interrupt them. "Maybe if I run into them I'll say hi." For now, he wanted to leave them to their business and keep minding his own.

After the hunt, we need to deal with that bird problem " kopa said as they continued walking.. " then we have the rest of the day to think of things to do.. I could teach you guys how to play pass the fruit.. its a fun game, but be warned, the fruits we use are hard" He smirked.

Ramiki rubbed against Kopa's paw with a soft purr. Being Vitani's cub he had really looked up to Kopa . He was a really cool lion and Ramiki thought of him as a dad. "Wow, Kovu that sounds like a fun game" He said purring softly to him.

"What happened Sire? You look like prince Kovu!' " lets just say he made me pay up for exiling him ..Simba replied " Now about the elephant report? '

' still kopa's irritance didn't last. ramiki was just playing, and to be honest, kopa enjoyed the fact that this cub was playing with him.

"And don't worry," Kovu smiled to Kopa, "Even during your hunting training, I won't make you call me teacher or anything like that....unless you want to," he chuckled lightly.

Straffe noticed the group continue their hunting and had the sudden urge to follow them. He didn't want to be rude and intrude on them, nor did he want to give off the impression that he was stalking them. Yet for some reason, he felt like he was meant to meet them and be a part of their group. "I wonder who their leader is. It's certainly a diverse group to be coming from Pride Rock." Straffe started to follow the group but then caught himself. "What am I doing? They're from Pride Rock. They must be some form of royalty or something. I don't deserve to be in their presence. Maybe I should just leave them to their business." Straffe started to turn away but still couldn't get this group out of his mind.

there was a pack of gazelle near them and the group of hunters spread out to catch some lunch.. kopa chased after a nearby gazelle, but it soon become obvious that he had little experience with hunting. kopa lunged far too often and his size slowed him down. all in all it was a disasterous performance, one which would be brought up for years down the road, even after he had taken the throne and was ruling with kiara in tandem..

Well kiara, i didn't exactly get much time for learning how to hunt or date with Nuteri around and this is the product of that..I admit it, I'm a big oaf at this" Kopa said, after trying to catch a gazelle again, and landing face first in a mudpile.. ' go on, go on, laugh.. I earned that one.. " He said.. shaking mud out of his face..

Ramiki laughs. Kopa looked so silly covered in mud. Just then there was a small rustle in the bushes and before Ramiki could do anything about it. A small cub by the name of Jax pounced him playfully into the same mud puddle that Kopa had fell in.
"Pinned ya little bro" Jax said
"I am the same age as you Jaxalia that doesn't make sense."
"Your face doesn't make sense." The little girl shot back playfully and sticks out her tongue playfully at Ramiki.
And then she gets off her brother's mud soaken body and nuzzles her mom's leg with a soft purr.

Vitani smiles down at Jax and nuzzles her happily with a purr. "I see you met Jax or Jaxania. You see when I first saw Ramiki he was so lonely and afraid. He had no family because they were all killed by a family of Hyenas. Ya, see Jaxania was Ramiki's sister in his family and Ramiki had thought that she had been killed too. When I finally found Jax I had made her the third cub that I am taking care of. And she has been a delight since" Vitani said.
Jax bows her head a little bit as a greeting to Kopa. "My mom has told me a lot about you Mr. Kopa" Jax said politely

Kopa nodded " As long as you don;t have a Kovu the 16th down the line, that is. Have some diversity in names, I say. I could name my son after my dad or Grandfather, or i could name him something new.. I will probably do that when the time comes.. Anyway , I'm done with my attempt at hunting, and I;ll just let you guys take the lead from now on. Its going to be AWHILE before I;m any good at hunting

Ramiki seemed to be telling something real urgent. He urgently whispers in her ear . Ramiki whispers some more to Vitani. and Ramiki gently nudged her mom on the paw. She took a deep breath.
"Kopa I was wondering if maybe you wanted to go on a date with me tonight" Vitani asked.

A date huh? Kopa stopped.. " er um,, well Vitani, I have never dated anyone prior to this, hunting isn't the only thing I stink at.. But i guess a date won;t hurt.. so sure.. you'll have to find someone to keep an eye on the cubs though..

Oh and starting next spring, you will be reporting to kovu, I'm going to put him in charge of pride defense. its up to you Kovu, how often you meet with the patrols, once a week, once a month, or daily, it will be your choice. While the Pridelsands may be at peace now, we've seen two wars fought over this kingdom in the last two generations,and I don't want a third if we can avoid it , so I'm putting someone I can trust in charge of making sure that doesn't happen.' hmm.. thats a good question, problem is, that lionesses normally aren't given many jobs, besides hunting and having cubs.. we'll have to change that obviously..kopa mused pulling on his chin.. ' since I'm not going to hsave you do nothing besides wait for your cubs to be born. hmm.

Kiara then had an idea enter her head. "How about.......I get put in charge of appointing all non-king/queen positions?" she suggested, "Or be a matchmaker for future generations...." she mused

Both good ideas sis, alright fine.. you get to appoint lions to positions below upper royalty, and get to matchup future generations.. Nice work" Kopa smiled patting her on the head. " if i think of any other responsibilities to give you i will, the days of a spare having no power are over. this isn't our grandfathers time.. and you and Kovu aren't Scar. i trust you both, after all if a king can't trust his family, who can he trust?

"Yes Mama" They both say Obediently.
"Good" Vitani said giving them both big kisses on the forehead and gives both of them a great big hug.
And then she turns to Kopa with a loving smile.

As darkness continued to fall, the creeping figures reached the edge of the tall grass, with Pride Rock in plain sight. They paused in the grass, watching for signs of life between them and their destination, and then shot off towards the rocks, almost unrecognizable in the dark...

Damon cringed a bit. 'Well now I can see whether or not I can stand being in a cave.' Damon thought to himself. As he walked inside, he started to shake. Damon started to panic a little, but as he looked around, for once it didn't seem like the walls were closing in. He was fine, and upon realizing this, his breathing slowed. He did it, he faced his Claustrophobia.
"Damon are you OK?" Makaila asked. Damon turned and smiled. "Yeah, I am." He said as he playfully tackled her. Soon the two cubs were wrestling as if they were just two care free cubs.

Off in the distance, Matsu's ears began to twitch with a slight yet sudden thought of puzzlement. He stopped in his tracks and began scanning the moonlit horizon...

After awhile, Damon won nd got off of Makaila. "I'll be back, I'm just going to step out for some fresh air. "Damon said. Damon stopped just outside as he relaxed in the cool night breez, just then, the wind shifted and the fur on Damon's neck stood up on end. He smelled intruders. Immediantly he ran back inside. "Simba, I smelled intruders, I don't know where, or what." He said to the king.

Their cover blown, the intruders sprang into action...
A small volley of what seemed to be sharpened sticks whistled into the cave, most of which speared down a pair of jaguar sentries, the rest missing the royal family by inches. This was quickly followed by the attackers sprinting inside with more sticks at the ready. These were baboons, small yet cunning and vicious creatures. And they've come for someone within the cave...

Kiara and Kovu were quick to get out of the danger zone, as others soon followed.

Makaila and Damon followed Nala out the back way and didn't look back. "Why are they attacking us?" Makaila asked Damon. " Don't know,and I don't wanna stop to ask. As they were Chased the Babboons chanted 'more blood' over and over again. " Keep Running Makaila!" Damon said as he brely saved his tail from the Babboon's powerful Canines.

Simba parried the Baboon attacks long enough for the others to escape then headed out the exit.." this was not what he had planned for the evening..

As they Ran, Damon and Makaila got seperated from Nala and were cornered by a smaller Baboon. "Get behind Me Makaila!" Damon Ordered as he Tackled the smaller Baboon and fought it as best he could. The Baboon was shocked at the cub's fearlessness in protecting Makaila, but fought back none the less. Damon got on it's back and bite down on the neck, tearing into it. Soon the Baboon fell dead. Damon breathed heayly. "Damon are you OK?" Makaila asked. "Yeah, this one was young, dumber.. I was lucky." Damon said. "We gotta keep running." He said. "But Simba, mom.." Makaila started off. "We can''t worry about them right now, We need to keep moving, keep running, keep safe." Damon said, his eyes narrowing as his survival instincts took over. Never had he been grateful for what he went through as a younger cub, It had just saved his life. " I think we should head to Rafiki's tree?" Makaila said. "Yeah, He maybe old and a coot, Bt I heard stories of his feirocity in battle." Damon said as they made their way there.

Simba soon caught up with the young cubs.. " There you are' He said, relieved that he had found them " where are you headed" he asked " You need to stay with me.,.,

" We got seperatated from Nala and the others." Makaila said. "Yeah, figured Rafiki's tree might be a safe play to make a break for, What do we do now?" Damon asked. "I'm scared Simba." Makaila said, rubbing up against simba for comfort. "Yeah it's total chaos here!" Pumba and Timon added.

we neeed to keep going' Simba repplied as the babboons appeared in the distance, "don't stop! he added running up and passing them. Simba thouight to himself ' he would have to gifind his kids, and bring Kopas date to an abrupt end.

"You got that right, lets move it!" Timon howled as he held onto Pumbaa as Damon and Makaila followed them as fast as they could. "Don't look back Makaila, theres nothing we can do but keep running." Damon said.Makaila fought back her tears, but it was a lossing battle. " Our Home, our Pride, it's gone!" She sobbed.

kopa and vitani were in thre middle of fighting off a group of babboons . ' So much for our date Kopa mutrttered as he knocked out another baboon.. lets go Vitani' he said turning and headed away from the roiver

Just then, Damon awoke in shock. Looking around, He saw that Makaila was fast asleep next too him. 'Only a nightmare.' He thought thankfully, as he laid back down to try and go to sleep. The young cub felt safe here in the pride as he slowly but surely drifted back to a dreamless sleep.
Not too far away a group of cubs were approaching pride rock. Leading them was a 'mute' cub named scout who could only communicate in lion growls and sounds, but no words. Scout and his siblings were with an adult male named Rashid, the mystic and healer that saved Scout's life after a rival male killed scout's father and slit scout's throat after the brave cub refused to betray the location of his siblings.
