The rules: Yes there are rules, sadly.
1. No killing another person's character/s without their direct permission or unless they imply that it is what they want you to do.
2. No controlling another person's character without their permission.
3. No god-moding. In other words, no characters that never takes a hit or something during a fight. Nobody is invincible.
4. No cussing at all. Also, no being mean or rude to other players in an OCC way.
(I don't think we'll have a problem with this.)
5. Try to keep within the boundries of LBT. No magic or anything like that. What happened in the last RP is acceptable though because it wasn't magic.
6. If you're going to join, stay active. Don't disappear for long periods of time. Few things annoy me more than that.
7. Try to use proper grammar, spelling, capitalization, and punctuation. Also, please don't type in script format. It looks much better in a story format.
8. Above all, just have fun. That's what this is all about.
Now that this is out of the way, I'll begine.

The swimmer rested on his back in a shallow stream with his head propped against a rock, lounging in the mid-morning sun. The dropplets of water clinged to his greyish colored skin like drops of dew on the morning grass. Snork took a deep breath, inhaling the sweet, fresh air. This place was turely paradise. Two weeks had passed since Snork had arrived in the Great Valley with his friends. A few months earlier, his life had no meaning. His so called "father" cared nothing about him, using him for nothing more than predator bait. However, after the great earthquake, Snork had met his friends. Together, they had traveled through the worst conditions inagimable and all arrived alive in spite of it all. A shadow appeared over Snork and he looked up to see Strafe, the iguanodon, standing over him.
"So how are things going with kaga?" he asked.
"Everything is fine. Kaga went off to look around some more though. I decided to stay home." replied Strafe.
Snork rolled over and climbed out of the water.
He said, "I've been wondering, when are we going to get together and meet the locals? We've talked to hardly anybody since we came here."
Strafe nodded in agreement and said, "Yeah. If this is going to be out home, we'll need to know our neighbors. So when are we going to go?"
Snork answered, "We could do it now, if you'd like. Let's go get the others."
With that, he walked off to find the others.

"Yo! Strafe! Snork! What's up?"
Dante yelled cheerfully, dropping down off of a nearby branch and landing next to the pair, grinning widely. He too was glad to have found the place he now called home. A few short months ago, he had been an exile taken in by another outcast, then left alone. Now, he was here, surrounded by friends. Especially his best friend Longtail and the love of his life, Hunter.
"Where're you two headed?" he asked, strolling along beside them, smiling the whole time...

Hunter stepped from behind Dante and smiled brightly as she said "Well good morning you two. So what's the plan for today? I assume we are going to meet our fellow valley residents." Although Hunter wouldn't admit it a while back she was all alone and by herself...although with the exception of the occasional sharptooth attacks wasn't so bad. But having a new home...and friends...and a mate only made her smile brighter as she looked around a little still taking in the beauty of the valley.
"Hey Dante, I thought Longtail was with you?" asked Hunter as she took a drink from the shallow stream.

stone the flyer was quietly soreing the skys, wondering too himself
about his never ending jorney.
stone: so.......i been hearing much about the so called "great vally".

Dante looked around for a moment, then said...
"That's odd... He was here a minute ago. But, then again, this is Longtail we're talking about, huh? He's probably around here somewhere. "
Dante mused, scanning the nearby trees for his friend...

Deep in the very heart of the Great Valley, in a nearly impenetrable stand of ancient trees, a lithe form was slowly working its way through the foliage. It had taken Sy nearly two weeks to find it, and now he wasted no time getting inside.
Inside the grove, the trees blocked most light, but where the sun's rays broke through, they revealed ancient stones that rippled with weather-worn patterns. In other places, tiny brooks snaked their way across the moss-covered ground. There was a silence about the place; not of death or gloom, but of reverence, as if the world were listening to hear what it had to say.
Sy could feel the age held within the trees, the memories they carried, the millennia they had stood there, watching silently as things came and went. The life pulsed through them, and through him, just as it had for so many years.
In the center of the grove, he came to a group of mounds scattered over a small area. Upon closer inspection, they revealed themselves to be great boulders, covered in moss. He knelt by one and carefully scraped a patch of moss off of it. Beneath the moss was a symbol, carved into the rock; there were few capable of reading it, but to him, the name was all too familiar.
He left the grave of his brother Enns and examined the other boulders. Spectrum... Kyson... Phantom... Ghost... But where was she...?
He stopped at the last grave, his hands shaking as he scraped away the moss. The symbol shone in a ray of sunlight.
Salakla...
He could still see her sparkling emerald eyes. Hear her soft peals of laughter. Feel her cool breath caressing his cheek.
And he could still remember the night that she died, all those many years ago...
A glint of color caught his eye, and he knelt down to examine a small blue flower that stood beside the grave, its head bowed. Carefully coaxing it from the soil, he placed it in a depression in the rock, above the name, where the sun would nurture it. The light passing through it made his lover's name glow pale blue.
Sy left the grove, a single tear sliding from his missing right eye.

he begins to see many mountainous shapes, suprised,
he quickly turned and began flying twords them

Mim (the female rainbowface) was by herself eating a mix of tree stars and some crawlers, away from where the plant eaters could not see her and be grossed out. She examined some sticks she had put in the ground. She had noticed that the bright circle did not rise or set in the exact spot in her travels, but slowly moved along a pattern. She talked to herself quietly while no one was nearby. She had not been in the great valley long so the sticks were not exact where the bright circle rose or fell but very rough approximations of how the bright circle moved.
(OOC: I assume the basic natural stuff works the same in LBT as it does on earth)
"Warmer weather it tended to rise around here and go away around here, and as the cold time draws near it tends to rise around here and go away here. But why does it do this, and why?" She said quietly to herself. She often when by herself thought about things she had observed and traveling alone she got into a habit of talking quietly to herself. She also tended to think about certain things that others found odd for one to think about and never told anyone else about. "Maybe I'll figure it out someday." She said to herself.
She finished her eating of what was in her hand and looked around at some of the nearby plants, taking note of not just the edible plants, but also some that were good for this or that purpose, reduce pain, help reduce swelling ect. She did this to keep her knowledge still fresh as she walked around eating a bit here and there, often leaves but some crawlers with leaves as well.

Diver (one of Ducky's siblings who looks exactly like her) was near her mother's nest area playing in the water with her siblings. She had dived and swam under one if them, surprising them as she rise under the sibling.
"hehehe." She giggled after she had risen to the surface.

Hunter was actually right...Longtail had been with Dante, but in the spur of the moment he had jumped into a nearby tree and within moments was fast asleep. However he had only one real problem. he was starting to slip from the branch he was sleeping on. As such as he snoozed quietly his body and gravity did the hard work and pulled him down to the ground...head first...which wouldn't have been to bad, if he hadn't landed on Dante's head, and hard.
However Longtail wasn't the least bit affected as he continued to sleep without a care. This of course made Hunter laugh with delight as she said "Well..looks like he found you!"

(OCC: Kor, nice first post. ingster, just some constructive criticizm. Please use proper capitalization and punctuation. It looks a lot better and is easier to understand. Also, don't write in script format please. It sounds better if it is in story format.)
Snork replied to Dante and Hunter, "We're on our way to meet the locals. It is time to get aquainted with our neighbors."
Strafe added, "Yeah. I just hope they're friendly."
She was nervous about meeting strangers.
Snork reassured her, "Don't worry, Strafe. I'm sure they're nice."
They headed out into the meadows near the lake, heading toward the herd.

"So.....there it is,the Great Vally......now i can rest."
Stone mumbled to himself,
he looks down and around at the mountains a bit and eventully see's
the Great Vally itself, after some time he landed near a fair sized lake
and started to take a drink. Not noticeing anyone around.

Mim finished a tree star she had in her hand and decided to head to the nearby body of water to get a drink. She would get to see what the various other inhabitants were doing and perhaps meet or converse with a few and see what the others were up to. She had not been here to long, but had managed to meet some of them, most of them friendly. She did wonder what they were up to today, and watching some of the youngsters playing was always fun also.

Diver continued playing with her siblings, pausing for a bit while the rest decided to rest or eat. She went to the slightly deeper part of the water and dived down to get some underwater green food, coming up with a handful to eat as she sat down beside the water. She always preferred underwater green food for the most part over land food, though some like treesweets tasted as good or better to her.

Dante laughed, rubbing his head a little as he picked up Longtail, holding him up.
"Heheh. Yeah, he did. And..."
He looked at Hunter, smirking, then became serious.
"We should probably hang back. The people here may be slightly...um...afraid of us. After all, we are sharpteeth..."

Hunter smiled and said "Well, he's really more of a flyer on the outside...and beside, we all eat green food anyway. I'm sure the locals will understand about us." She then frowned and said at a whisper "If they let us explain that is."
Longtail then stopped snoring and opened one eye and smiled as he said "Nice of you to show...hunter...what kept ya so long." Hunter scowled and said "Excuse me for wanting to look presentable to our new neighbors!"

Dante smiled at Hunter, blushing a little as he said...
"You always look beautiful, Hunter. And..yeah. I hope they give us the chance to introduce ourselves...<sigh>"
He then ran a hand along his head before saying...
"Well, here goes nothing..."

Longtail nodded and followed Dante and Hunter as they joined Snork and Strafe walking into the clearing to meet the valley residents. 'To say the least...it should prove a theory I've been thinking about lately.' thought Longtail as he stepped into the light of the day.

"I think im gunna like this place......"
He grabs a few treestars and begins eating them,
at the same time, looking around at the residents.

Mim arrived at the body of water. She could see some of the kids playing not to far off, mainly young swimmers. She knelt down to use one of her hands to get some water and drink that way, learning this allowed her to remain more alert in the mysterious beyond where she had lived much of her life. It took longer to finish getting a drink, but one could look around and listen more easily while one did drink.
Diver was still sitting with her feet in the water as she finished eating her bit of underwater green food that she held in her hand.

Longtail was the first to step out of the foliage, and the first person he saw, had their back towards him, but with the markings and colors caused him to stop for a moment and think. 'A rainbow face? I thought...that they only lived in packs of their own kind?' He then took a tentative step forward as he asked "E-Excuse me...sir...or miss...can you help me?"

Mim finished swallowing water then turned around to see who was talking. She smiled as she saw Longtail, "Hello there. How are you doing? Want some water, it's very good?"
She said indicating the water with one hand as she mentioned it.
"My name is Mim, I'm always happy to meet a new person." She had not seen this flyer before, but she had not met everyone since the valley was so large she assumed one could likely live their entire lives here and perhaps never meet some people, or at least not for a long time.

Longtail smiled as Mim offered him some water...and to be honest he was kinda thirsty, but then he remembered the others behind him and said "No thank you..." he was a little hesistant to use a gorwn-ups full name, but he figured he'd give it a shot. "...Mim...but...do you happen to know where any meetings are held here in the valley? I would like to meet the others locals here."
Hunter who was hiding behind a bush sighed quietly and said "Oh, Longtail, you silly little idoit...a whole valley knowing about two and a half sharpteeth living with them is not something I wanted to get out in the open this early in the morning."

Kaga hurried along, trying to catch up to the others. He figured they were going to meet the others now, so he ran to catch up. Finally, he cought the group and panted, "Sorry for being late. I was having breakfast still."
He trotted along with the group as they made their way into the clearing where some longnecks and a few other dinosaurs had gathered. Kaga decided to let someone else speak first so he could catch his breath.

Mim nods, "There is the meeting place, it's mostly stone and over there. When a grown up thinks it's important to have a meeting they ask some flyers to spread the word." Mim said.
(ooc: I thought that made more sense to say that happens off screen instead of saying all the inhabitants either just know magically or are telepathic enough to tell each other.)
Diver finished eating and got back into the water. She started floating in the water, moving slowly.

"Hmmm.....Looks like someone else is here.........Maby I shouldent bother her....."
Stone quietly mumbled to himself, looking back at the lake, while eating the last treestar he had.

Longtail bowed and said "Thank you. Uhh...Mim...my friends and I were going to meet some of the other valley locals, do you know where we can find them?" He then thought to himself 'Using her real name...that's going to take some getting used to...'
He then turned back to the bushes for a moment and said "Well...this could be a little harder then I thought."

Mim nods, "They are all around. The swimmers are near large bodies of water. One family is just over there." Mim said indicating Ducky, Diver and Spike's family. "They adopted a young spiketail who came here with one of their daughters. The others are scatttered around. There is a small family of longnecks who nests near the thundering falls. There is a grumpy threehorn who hates everybody & is very full of himself who lives not to far that way, he's best avoided. And some flyers nest over there, others over there. The others are pretty scattered around." Mim said naming off some of the other residents she had noticed or met, or encountered. "There is also Mr. Thicknose, who some say is the wisest one here."

Diver Decided to float on her back in the water and watch the sky puffies for a while while her siblings did whatever they were doing.

Dante decided that that was as good a moment as any to introduce himself. He stepped out from the foliage, waving...
"Um...Hi there! I'm Dante. Dante S. Starfall. Nice to make your acquaintance, miss..."
He said, slightly nervous...

Snork said, "Nice to meet you, Mim."
He had never seen a rainbow face before so this was a new experience.
The swimmer said, "We're new here ourselves and were just on our way to say hi to everyone. Want to come?"
Strafe said softly, "It's always a pleasure to meet a new friend. Let's go."
With that, the iguanodon walked ahead of the group toward the herd.
(OCC: Is anyone going to play the families of the LBT gang?)

Mim jumped back at the sight of a fast biter, but relaxes slightly as he seemed friendly and not the usual type. "Uh.. hello. I"m Mim." She said to Dante, then looked at Snork, "Nice to meet all of you. Have you come to live in the great valley or just visiting?" She asked then to Strafe's question she nodded, "Sure, I've not met everyone here yet, though I"ve met some of them. The family of swimmers just over there are nice." She said.
(OOC: I can play 1 or more of them, but does anyone else wish to?, or any of the gang themselves? Also are you going with Troodons being fast biters or omnivores? If omnivores or something else, I"ll edit my post.)

Dante smiled cheerfully at Mim, replying...
"We came to stay here. Took us all across the Beyond, too. Talk about a pain in the tail!"
He laughed, glancing over at the family Mim had indicated...

Mim nods, "It seems many here have their own stories they can tell. Perhaps some will when they feel ready." Mim said.
She looked over at the family she had indicated, "They are friendly and not like some folks who think their kind are best and all others are dirt. They have adopted a young spiketail that accompanied one of their daughters here since there are no resident spiketails here."
She turns to Dante, if you like or don't' mind eating non meat stuff I can show you some places with quite a few crawlers, snapping shells, fish and things like that that I've found. Though the leaf eaters are grossed out if they see one eating that." Mim said, her kind of dinosaur the type that ate green food and non green food, though never where leaf eaters saw her since she learned they'd get grossed out.
(OOC: Ok, just asked since I read somewhere that some think that troodons may have been omnivores instead of carnivores, a more recent idea & debate.)

(OOC: I'll be playing Littlefoots grandparents just so you all know.)
Longtail who had been listening to the others talk looked over at the family of swimmers. He then smiled and said "Making new friends is fun..." He looked over to Dante and Hunter and said "Anyone else like to try...I mean yes there is that whole awkward sharptooth thing to get over, but come on. I'm telling you it'll be fun!"
Hunter scoffed and said "Fun is the last word that comes to my mind when introducing myself. I am a sharptooth after all."

Dante grinned at Longtail, shaking his head faintly...
"Longtail... You always seem to forget that Hunter and I don't look like leaf-eaters. We look like sharpteeth, and that's why people are...y'know, scared of us."
He then turned towards Mim, saying...
"Thanks for offering, but I'm fine with eating green food. And, yeah. Hunter, the others, and I have a really good story to tell eventually."
He smiled...

Longtail frowned and said "Oh come on Dante...yeah you may look like sharpteeth, but you and Hunter have the hearts of Leaf eaters...so I'm sure they will understand." He then looked around and sighed as he said "Maybe your right...but its still worth a shot right?"

Mim nods thinking a bit before she says anything., "You'll have a different sort of meeting then most. I would say it's best that you meet some of the nicer adults and show them you are not threat and if you are willing to eat green food or other sorts of options. The logcial course of action would be that, to meet the friendly adults first and show them you are no threat, like some of the ideas I've mentioned above." Mim said.
Mim thought a bit more before continuing. " The nicest ones that are near here are the parents of the swimmers there, Mr. & Mrs. Swimmer, with also Mr. Thicknose, Mr. & Mrs. Longneck, that most here call Grandpa or Grandma Longneck, and Mrs. Flyer." Mim said after thinking of some they could meet.
(OOC: I assume it's ok to mention Ducky's dad since he has a cameo or 2 in the second movie, and since in 8 it's said Mr Thicknose never left the valley I assume it's ok to mention him as being here though he's not in a movie till 8. If not just say and I'll edit my post.)

A voice called out.
"I'd suggest you get it over with quickly," said Sy, coming up to the group. "It would be better for them not to become suspicious before you get a chance to meet them. You should be fine if you're with me; I have... a bit of a reputation around here for being kind. They should trust you if I do.
"And may I add that it is an honor to meet another Rainbowface," he said, addressing Mim with a sweeping bow. "I'm afraid I don't meet enough of you."

Snork nodded and said, "Well,lets go then shall we?"
He cautiously made his way over to Mr. and Mrs. Swimmer and said, "Um, hellow there. My friends and I just arrived here in the valley and we wanted to introduce ourselves. I'm Snork."
Strafe introduced herself, "I'm Strafe. It's a pleasure to meet you"
She hoped that she had made a good first impression.

Mim returns the bow, "It is my pleasure to meet you as well." She paused to think of his remark a moment, "Have you met many of my kind? I've not really seen them around here much." She said.
Mim nods agreeing with the first part of what Sy said, "Yes, it would be best to meet them quickly. The among the most open minded are the ones I mentioned, with Mr and Mrs longneck, and Mr Thicknose being among those more respected among those living here, as well as Sy here. The more that meet you on friendly terms the higher chance you will have little difficulty in living here." Mim said.

Dante stepped over to the two swimmers, smiling and waving.
"Eheheh...H-Hi there. I'm Dante...Dante S. Starfall. Um...d-don't worry. I won't attack anyone or anything. I swear!"
He said, stammering nervously as he did so...

Longtail and Hunter came to a stop next to Dante and said "Hi...my name is Hunter...and the flyer on my back is Longtail." Longtail jumped off her back and bowed to the swimmers present and said "It is a pleasure to meet you. This valley is a beautiful place."
Hunter then took a step forward and asked with a blush of embarassement "M-may I join...you?" Hoping the swimmers would say yes.

Stone approched Hunter and Longtail without relizeing, after a moment he notices them.
"Oh.....Hello"

Diver was started and let out a brief cry or surprise and swam over towards her mother. Her mother looked at them a bit surprised, her father stepped forward.
"This is the first time I've met talking fast biters, but your not acting like the usual types of sharpteeth." He said in a normal tone of voice. Mrs. Swimmer stayed back calming their children who were present, some were playing in other ares.
"You do look friendly and talk, and I guess you are ok since you are with who you are with." He said, not entirely sure, but willing to give them the benefit of a doubt since they were acting friendly and were with who they were with.
"It's nice to meet you all, this is our family including my mate and our young ones." He said, waiving to indicate the other swimmers nearby, Mrs. Swimmer and their kids.
Mrs. Swimmer came forward a bit to stand beside Mr. Swimmer, "You do seem friendly and nice. She looked at Hunter, "Join us? Are you thirst? Sure you can, there is plenty of water here for all."
Mr. Swimmer nodded, "And plenty of room and food also."
Mim nodded from where she was, "Of the green, and non green variety, fish, and other non meat things as well." She said, remaining quiet for the most part to observe. Diver just watched from her mother's hand where she was at present, not sure what to make of this but trusting her parents.
(ooc: Hope I did them ok, there's little to go on for mr swimmer, and I've not done mr or mrs swimmer before really.)

Dante smiled, saying...
"Thanks. It really is nice to meet you all!"
He smiled, then heard Stone speaking from behind him, and turned around...
"Hm? Oh, Hi there! I didn't see you. What did you say your name was again?"
He asked, giving a warm smile to Stone...

Kaga stepped forward and said, "Hi, my name is Kaga. It's nice to meet you all. I'd be honoured to join you for a bit. It's always nice to meet new faces.
He sat town and bean to drink the cool water. Before coming to the valley, cold water was a rare treat. Now, he could have it any time he wanted.

"Well i dident think we ever met, my name is Stone, what about yours?"
He said smileing back at dante

"Sure, there is plenty for all here." Mrs Swimmer said.
Mim used one of her hands to get a few more drinks of water.

Hunter nodded and said "Thank you all very much." to show her appreciation she bowed in respect and after looking at the water for several moments before taking and putting a single foot into the water and shuddered as she felt the cold sting. But it only lasted for a moment as she smiled again and put her other three feet into the water and submerged her body into the water and sighed as she felt the cool currents rushing over her. She turned to Dante with a blush on her face and said "D-Dante...would you...like to join me"
Longtail meanwhile turned as Stone addressed Dante and said "Hello...my name is Longtail the flyer nice to meet you Stone. Have you lived here in this valley long?" He then took a deep breath of fresh air and closed his eyes taking his time to savor the moment of peace.

"Hello Longtail, nice too see another flyer around........and no, I actully arrived here today."
Stone said calmly to Longtail.

Dante smiled at Hunter, then slid into the water, saying...
"I'd love to. It's amazing isn't it? Just a little while ago, we were still out in the Beyond, and now..."
He sighed, relaxing into the water's cool embrace...

Mrs. Swimmer looked at the group, "You traveled a long way? We did, and some of the young ones braved the dangers themselves after we were separated to come here." She said.
"I am just glad we all made it here. Some were not as lucky." Mr Swimmer said.
Mim looked at Hunter's reaction to the cold water, "Some places have water that is not so cold, but it can be refreshing. I'm glad some water is cold here. It would have something to do with where the water comes from and what it flows over before it comes here." She said, commenting on some of her observations of traveling around and noticing where cold water often came from a stream or river from higher up or other places that could help to keep water cold.

Longtail bowed to Stone and said "Really well then I say we go exploring for a while in the sky!"
Hunter smiled at Mim and said "Yes you are right." She then turned to Mrs. Swimmer and spoke "Yes...our trek through the Mysterious beyond was just as bad..we almost lost our little flyer friend Longtail over there. Several times."

Dante chuckled slightly, remarking...
"Yeah. Though most of those were thanks to him flying off on his own. Not to mention that...he...was involved in the attacks..."
He said, shaking his head...

"On his own," Mim said, "That is dangerous out there. Dangerous enough in a herd, but alone, that is far more dangerous." Mim said, recalling some of her experiences in the mysterious beyond.
Diver looked over at Hunter, "You look like a young longneck, you do," She said, "But you sound like a grown up, you certainly do." Diver said.

"I dont know, I guess we could....mind showing me around Longtail?"
He takes a deep breath for a moment, still tired from the trip to the great vally

Longtail smiled and said "Great! This will be a good learning experience for me!" He then frowned and asked "Stone are you okay...you look tired. Maybe we should let you rest first."
Hunter meanwhile blushed at Divers comment and replied "Thank you. But in truth I am a fast biter called an Alimon. We have a habit of looking like longnecks when we hunt." She then blinked and said "But don't worry I don't eat meat. You have nothing to fear from me...and yes I am a grown up...although I may not look it."

"Yes.....I actully just reach the great vally today.......Been flying for days on end."
Stone said tiredly once more, as though his tiredness caught on

Dante nodded at Mim's comment, replying...
"Yeah, can't argue that. But we were lucky. We mostly just had to deal with nature. Earthshakes, fire water, things like that. Though... he..."
Dante trailed off, his eyes hardening for a moment, then said...
"Nevermind! Not to worry!"
He then looked at Mim curiously, and asked...
"So...Wait. Did you come here in a herd? Or by yourself?"

Diver nodded, "Looking like a Longneck would make it easier to walk right up to a plant eater and not have to sneak as other sharpteeth do, it certainly would." She said, glad she wasn't out in the mysterious beyond.
Mim thought a moment, "A bit of both. I traveled sometimes with a herd, sometimes alone, and also spent some time in some places as well. I finally met a few who knew the directions and how to get here, instead of this place being a vaguely heard story." Mim said, "Having plants that hide my smell, did make traveling easier, as well as mud in certain places. Though the smell may not be always pleasant" Mim said.

Longtail nodded at Stones comment and said in response "Well then, rest and comfort come first and is the most important. So, we will wait so you have a chance to relax and get your strength back. Is there anything I can get you?" he asked wondering if Stone was hungry or thirsty.
Hunter smiled at Diver as she did have a point. Hunter then said "Well I have never personally had to see that in action ...thank goodness. Nor do I plan to use it at all. It just dosent' seem fair to me to get so close to prey without giving them a chance to escape."

Snork added, "Don't forget that monster that trailed us almost the whole way."
Strafe added, revealing the bite scar on her left shoulder, "I remember him alright. A little too well."
She sat down next to Kaga and nuzzled him lovingly.
Snork said, 'But he got what he had coming in the end."

Dante agreed, saying...
"Heh. I don't think he'll let us forget him anytime soon, huh?"
He added, running a hand along his scarred left side...

Longtail overheard Snork, Strafe and Dante's remarks...and then cast a look down upon his own belly and ran his hand across the several bite marks and also cast a glance at his back and looked at the two or three bite marks he could find as he sighed and said "Yeah...I think he left us all with a little reminder."

"No......I allready done what i needed to do, now...too rest...."
He slowly sits down, sticks his feet into the water and lays back

"It does seem unfair to do that." Diver said agreeing with Hunter, thinking a sharptooth that looked like a plant eater unless one maybe looked very close did seem unfair. "If you don't eat meat what do you eat? Green food?" Diver asked, having no idea what an alternative would be for a sharptooth, and why couldn't they eat green food.
"Uh dear." Mrs swimmer started not sure if Diver should hear such a thing, but not sure how to continue.
"There are alternatives, some may sound gross or icky to some, but there are plenty of alternatives in the great valley." Mim said, making things as vague as possible for the young ones present and from personal experience since though she ate mainly green food she would eat some crawlers and other things sometimes, but only when she was away from the plant eaters or they could not see her or were to busy like playing in the water if she grabbed and quickly ate a snapping shell or somesuch, though that was best done at night, like a full moon, dusk or dawn when most were sleep in their nests, heading back to their nests or just waking up.
Mim turned to look at the others, "Sounds like you had a particular bad encounter, but I"m gad it came out ok, it can be very dangerous out there."

Dante nodded, then added...
"Don't worry. We can all eat green food. I myself can't eat anything else, really."
He chuckled, grinning happily...

Kaga looked p at the sky. The sun was high overhead as noon approached.
Kaga said, "It's been a pleasure to meet you, mr. and Mrs. Swimmer. I want to go meet the others now. Thanks again for the hospitality."

Hunter grinned and said "Yeah...we all eat green food...and if Dante here ever tries anything funny...I'll just have to 'subdue' him." she then blushed as she caught her own hidden meaning in the word subdue. She giggled and stepped out of the water and said "Thank you for the swim. I'll be following Kaga, but just to be safe, could you point us in the direction of the nearest nesting family?"

Mrs. Swimmer thought before responding, "There are some more swimmer families nesting here, and a longneck family over near thundering falls over that way." Mrs Swimmer said pointing up to where thundering falls was, "They have one grandson and are very wise and nice. We traveled here with them." She said.
"They are big, they certainly are." Diver said nodding, remembering how large they seemed to her.
Mim nods, "Their a nice family. I can show you the way if you like." Mim said, "Unless you'd rather go there alone."

Dante, too rose out of the water, shaking himself off gently...
"Same here. Thank you for...understanding us. I mean it. I'll...see you around, hm?"
He said as he moved to Hunter's side again, and he waved at the others, smiling the whole while...

Hunter nodded to Mim and said "Yes..any help would be wonderful until we get a feel for this place."
Longtail then looked to Stone and asked "Would you like a ride...I'm sure Hunter wouldn't mind two flyers on her back. We are pretty light."

Dante grinned, and he said...
"Hey. Stone. If you want a ride, then hop on! I guess I'll be crating you around, mmm?"
He laughed, indicating his back...

Strafe asked, "Who should we meet next? The longnecks or the fliers?"
Snork added his opinion, "I think we should meet the longnecks. I've never even seen a longneck up close before."

Longtail smiled and said "Oh yes...I would love to meet a real longneck! I wonder if they are as big as I imagine them to be?"
Hunter stepped over and chuckled as she said "Not likely, they will be much bigger. You won't even come up to their toes I'll bet."
Longtail however smiled and said "I'll take you up on that...One treestar." Hunter smiled back and said "Deal, now let's get a move on!"

Dante couldn't suppress his smile at his friend's antics...
"Hey, wait up for me, you two!"
He chuckled, jogging to keep up with the pair of them as they headed off...

Mim looked at the group, "Are you folks ready to head over there or would you rather rest, eat or drink a bit first? If you are ready they are usually just this way." She asked going off in the direction of where Littlefoot's nest area was and the thundering falls area where his grandparents usually were. She then turned to Longtail, "I'm sure you may be surprised by their size, some are." She said smiling a bit.

Kaga followed the others as they neared the longneck family. Kaga had never seen anything so big before. He decided to let someone else speak first, because he was too speechless to say anything himself.

Hunter had a smile on her face as she stepped into the clearing...and as she looked up she froze mid-step. Longtail who was riding on her back was a little startled when Hunter stopped moving, not yet realizing the shadow that blocked the bright circle.
Longtail tapped Hunter on the head and said "Hello, why'd we stop? Did you step in something again?" He then noticed her eyes were dilated and he followed her gaze upwards and if he hadn't been on Hunters back, he would've fallen on the ground as his body went limp at the sight of the two elderly longnecks standing there smiling at their group. He then muttered out next to her ear "You...win."
Grandpa Longneck for his part was surprised to see collective group. He immediately noticed at least three fast biters among the group, but if they were traveling with a flyer and two other swimmers, then they can't be all bad.
He leaned his next down and said "Hello there, I don't seem to recognize any of you, are you all new here in the valley?"

Dante nodded happily, smiling.
"Yep! We got here a few weeks ago! It's nice to meet you too, sir! I'm Dante. Dante S. Starfall."
Dante said, bowing his head respectfully...

Mim nods, "I just met them myself." She stayed in the background mainly so the others could get to meet the long time inhabitants of the valley themselves.
Grandma longneck bent her neck down so she could see them and be closer to their level. "I must say, you appear to be friendly, and cute." She said looking at them once she was down closer, "Friendly sharpteeth are quite rare in my experience." She said.

Snork looked up at the two longnecks and said, "It is nice to get a wark welcome. We have come a very long way."
Strafe said cheerfully, "It is a pleasure to meet you. I've never met a longneck before."
The young longneck bounded over a hilltop toward the two old longnecks. Littlefoot slowed down when he saw that his grandparents had company. The young longneck was curious and decided to meet the strangers. He had never seen them before and figured they were probably new in the valley.
Littlefoot waited for his grandparents to finish talking and asked, "Hey Grandpa, who are they?"
"Snork looked down at Littlefoot and said, "Oh, hi there. My name is Snork. We just got here and wanted to meet everybody."
Littlefoot said, "Oh, My name is Littlefoot. These are my grandparents."
Littlefoot glanced ovet at Dante and Hunter, but didn't say anything. While it was odd to see sharpteeth in the valley, Littlefoot had learned by now that not all sharpteet were bad. The fact that these newcomers trusted them made him feel safer.
Strafe introduced herself and asked Mr. Longneck, "Are you the only ones left in your herd?"

Grandpa longneck chuckled at his grandson's optimism and replied to Strafe's question "Unfortunately yes, we are. At least here in the valley anyway, we do have a herd of our cousins wandering the Mysterious Beyond, perhaps you met them on your travels?"
Longtail smiled and introduced himself to Littlefoot by saying "Hi! My name's Longtail, its nice to meet a longneck...that isn't so big."
Hunter was waiting for a moment to introduce herself and so she simply sat down and waited.

Dante, too smiled, and introduced himself, saying...
"And my name's Dante. Dante S. Starfall. Nice to meet you, too Littlefoot!"
Then he turned, gesturing at Hunter.
"And this is my...friend Hunter."
He said, grinning at her...

"This place dosent seem half bad......"
After a bit, hit takes his feet out and slowly gets up,
feeling a bit better then before

Mim stayed back and let the new folks meet and talk to the residents. She sat down to rest and pulled off a leaf to start to eat while she rested, watching while everyone got better acquainted while she rested and enjoyed a little green food and the pleasant weather.

Kaga said, "It's nice to meet you, Littlefoot. I'm Kaga. We just wanted to say hello. It was such a long journey and it is good to recieve a warm welcome and a good home."

Dante smiled and nodded at Kaga, adding...
"After that trip through the Beyond, it is nice to not have to watch our backs constantly. Not to mention that we have plenty of food here. This place is paradise." He sighed, gently, placing his hand on Hunter's back...

Hunter smiled at Dante as she said "Well, yeah it is nice not to have to worry so much anymore." She then wrapped her tail around Dante's leg.
Grandpa Longneck chuckled as he replied "Well that is always good. I do hope you enjoy your time here in the Great Valley. It is a wonderful place. We look forward to seeing you again." He looked down at Littlefoot and asked "Would you like to stay with these newcomers and show them around?"
Longtail smiled and commented "That's a great idea!"

Grandma Longeck nodded, "It a good idea. He knows many areas and some residentsl, and you can continue get to know some other residents here as you continue to explore." She looks over at Littlefoot, "Do you want to do that dear, you don't have to if you don't want to." She said with caring in her voice.
Mim finished the leaf she was eating, "Yes, I agree, it is an excellent idea, if he is willing. He knows the areas and folks better then I do since he's been here longer." She said.

"Would you like to stay with these newcomers and show them around?"
"Sure." Littlefoot nodded and said. He thought for a minute nd decided that since they had already met Ducky's family, to introduce them to Petrie's family.
"Come on. I want you to meet my friends." Littlefoot said and began to lead the group toward the cliffs. where the flier nest was.
"Sounds goot to me." Snork said as he followed.
Strafe nodded and followed after everyone else.

Hunter and Longtail smiled as Longtail commented "I like this place alot! I'm willing to bet we're going to meet some other flyers sooner or later...I hope." He then looked down as Hunter cleared her throat.
Longtail grinned and said "Not that being with you guys hasn't been great, but ya know...I get kinda lonely being the only flyer in our group."
Hunter smiled and said "I suppose that's true too."

Mim nods, "I can understand that. and there are fliers here also." Mim said, understanding how Longtail felt. Being with friends was always fun and good, but it could also be special to be with some that are of either one's own kind or a similar kind as well.

Kaga walked along next to Strafe, looking forward to meeting the fliers. In the sky above, dark clouds gathered.
"Looks like rain." the iguanodon said.
He wouldn't mind seeing some rain. It had not rained since they arrived. up ahead, Kaga could make out a flier nest perched on a ledge on the side of a cliff. an overhang above it seemed to shade it from the sun and weather. He could not tell ifanyone was home though.

Longtail just happened to be looking around and caught Kaga's gaze, and followed it up to see the flyer nest, and he literally jumped with joy as he shouted "YES! I'll be right back...I've got some friends to make!"
He flapped his wings and started flying towards the nest when Hunter commented "We don't know if anyone lives there Longtail, it could be empty." She then sighed as he didn't turn around and said "Well...gotta let the kid have his fun."

Dante nodded.
"Yeah. Better stick close to him so that he doesn't do something too stupid, though."
He said, bounding up the wall easily...

Once she saw the rain clouds coming in Petrie's mother flew back home with her kids, gathering some leaves along the way since she wasn't sure how long the rain would last and at least this way they'd all have some food while they waited out the rain. They had been flying out earlier and some were a bit tired so it was another excuse to head back and rest anyway. Petrie's snuggling stick was in the back of the nest not far from the small pile of leaves there. The others were resting in various spots around the nest.

Mim looked up at the nest area, "I think this may be the area where Petrie's mother nests, or near it. Petrie is one of Littlefoot's friends who I heard made it here by themselves with no grown up help." Mim said remembering some of the stories she had heard during the time she was here. She then looked up at the clouds, "It does indeed look like rain. I know of some caves that we can shelter in if you want. There are numerous caves in the great valley, more then I'd guess any 1 person could know unless they had lived here for a long time."

Littlefoot explained, "Up ahead is where my friend, Petrie, lives. Hopefully he is home. If not then we can go meet Cera or something."
Snork followed, glancing at the sky at the aproaching storm. It would be nice to get together with all his friends under the canopy of the trees and take shelter together. He liked spending time with his new family.
Srafe followed but said nothing. She nudged Kaga lovingly and finally said, "I think everyone will like us. Everyone else we have met so far has liked us."

Hunter sighed as she knew Longtail wouldn't be coming down for a while. She then followed behind Snork and Strafe and she said in reply to Strafe's comment "I don't know...from what i've heard...threehorns can be stubborn and almost immpossible to reason with."
She then smiled as she said "But I would still love to meet some."

Dante perched on a spire near Longtail, then added...
"And I'm Dante. Dante S. Starfall!"

Petrie's mother looked at the sound of the voice, a bit surprised to see anyone fly & climb up to her nest.
"Hello, nice to meet you folks." She said looking at the new arrivals. "You have not been here long?" She asked.
The young flyers got behind their mother, not sure of the new strangers and the way some of them looked, especially since at least 1 looked like a type of sharptooth. She patted a few of them, "They look nice, not dangerous at all." She said to her kids.
Petrie had been resting while laying down but stood up as the new people appeared. "Hello me Petrie." He said not to sure himself and a bit unsure and afraid.

Upon seeing the other flyers reactions Longtail bowed his head in respect and said to Petrie "Nice to meet you. My name is Longtail." He then giggled as he then said, "Although I'm sure you can guess why." as he swung his tail back and forth.
He then stood up and answered to Petrie's mother "Yes, we've only been here for a short time, and I am the only flyer in my traveling herd. I was hoping to meet other flyers, I'd be nice to have another friend."
He then turned around and said "Oh yeah...almost forgot...this is Dante. Don't worry about how he looks...he's harmless...couldn't hurt an egg."

"Yep. No need to worry. I won't hurt anyone. It's really nice to meet you!"
Dante said, grinning broadly...

Petrie's mother nodded, "It is nice to meet you also. I didn't know sharpteeth could be nice as you." She then started to walk closer to where the edge of the nest was, "Are there others of you down there?" She asked looking at those present. With most of her children, except for Petrie hiding behind her or huddled close to her.
Petrie bowed back in a similar manner. He nodded to what Longtail said, "Me see. It good name." He said happy to meet another flyer. "Me only flyer among me best friends. Many flyers here, my family and others." Petrie said, waving his hands first to indicate his family then a bit vaguely to where some of the other flyers nests were that he knew about.
Petrie's mother then turned to Longtail still smiling, "It can be a bit lonely to be the only one of your kind in a herd, but most of the people here are friendly." She said, pausing to think to herself, except certain ones like that threehorn and she momentarily stopped smiling but went back to smiling again before she continued, "And there are many flyers here like Petrie said. I'm sure you'll enjoy living here. There is plenty of food, water and room." She said happy to also meet new friends.

After letting the others talk, Kaga called from the ground below, "Hello there. My name is Kaga. It is nice to meet new people. I think I'm gonna like it here."

Longtail gave a sigh of relief after hearing Petries mom speak. he then said "That's good. Sounds like this valley is a wonderful place." Longtail then smiled at hearing Kaga's voice from down below and asked Petrie and his mother, "Would you like to meet the rest of our herd? I'm sure they'd be happy to see you all."

Petrie's mother nodded while smiling, "I would like that. How many of you are there?" She asked, She then looked down at Kaga and waved. "Shall we go down to meet the rest?" She asked those present in the nest. Her other kids were not sure of the strangers, noticing a few were of the sharpteeth type. She patted her other children, "It's ok, they are friendly." She said. Some of them started to feel a bit easier, seeing the sharpteeth seemed to be friendly, or not hungry at least.
"Easier if we go to them then them come to us." Petrie said.
Mim was resting on the ground with the others, but remaining mainly quiet for the most part and letting the newcomers introduce themselves and do the talking.

"Cool. Oh, and by the way, there are...Let's see...Kaga, Hunter, Strafe, Snork, Longtail, me, and Sy. I think that's all, right, Longtail? If I missed anyone, make sure you fill in the blanks. Meetcha down there!
Dante flipped off the spire he was on, nimbly spinning and flipping through the air towards the ground. Landing gently on his feet, he smiled up at the others and waved...

"Good morning, Petrie." Littlefoot greeted is friend.
After introducing themselves, snork and Strafe glanced up into the sky at the approaching storm.
"It looks like it will be here soon." Snork said. Maybe we should wait it out in the forest."
Littlefoot nodded and agreed, "Sorry we couldn't stay longer, petrie. I'll see you later."
As Littlefoot led the group toward the trees, he said, "Maybe we can meet Cera after the storm is over. THey usually don't last long here."
"Sounds good to me." Strafe replied as she followed the young longneck and the others toward the safety of the trees. They arrived right as the sky opened up. big drops of rain began to fall but everyone stayed dry under the canopy of the leaves. Strafe lied down on the ground next to Kaga while Snork sat down with his back against a rock.

Longtail smiled to Petrie's mother and said "Perhaps after the storm is over we can talk a little bit more. It was very nice meeting you." He then spread his wings and flapped down to catch up with the others who had started to walk towards the forest. He quickly joined the others, and landed neatly on Hunters back as it began to rain.
She smiled as she felt Longtail land and she asked "So what was it like meeting other flyers like you?"
Longtail almost laughed and said "It was one of the greatest feelings in the world!" And after this silly storm is over, I'm going to go flying for a while with Petrie."
Hunter then looked over at Dante and asked "So what did you think of the flyers?"

Raindrops pounded down upon him, washing away the dirt and dust from his lon journey as he walked through the soggy green meadows of the Great Valley. The old swimmer looked around as the low clouds which hid the peaks of the mountains. he needed to find one of the locals. There was somethign he had to know. Dispite being hungry and thirsty, not to mention tired, the old swimmer trudged onward, stopping for nothing. Finally, he could not stand the thirst or hungar any more. He settled down by a lake and began to drink the cool water. The swimmer was lonely. He had done things that he had come to deeply regret. Sometimes, he even felt that he didn't deserve to live. The swimmer looked out across the wet landscape and saw two longnects (littlefoot's grandparents) together by a clump of trees. Deciding to ask them what he wanted to know, the swimmer stood up and made his way over to them.
"Excuse me." he spoke up in a gravely voice. "Um, can I ask you something?"
The swimmer then explained, "I am looking for someone. He is a swimmer like me but younger. I need to know if he is here."

Petrie's mother nodded, "Be careful, we'll talk again later." She said happily while waving to the new comers.
"Me see & play later." Petrie said.
Then they saw the rain start. "Come kids, let's go to the back of the nest. I'm sure we'll see the others later." Petrie's mother said as she and her kids moved to the back of the nest well away from the rain.
Mim traveled with the others. "Hopefully it won't last to long." Mim said, at least it's not during the cold times now and it does help the green food to grow." She said to the others.

Grandma longneck was eating a bit from a tree. She had just finished swallowing and was about to bite off some more leaves when she heard the voice, she bent her neck down to about eye level to the newcomer, "Who is it, perhaps Grandpa or myself know of the person, or if not there is a herd of swimmers who nest not to far from here." She said, looking briefly to Grandpa Longneck.

"The person I'm looking for may have been traveling with someone else. A spikethump perhaps. His name is Snork. Have you heard anything about him by any chance?" inquired the swimmer.

"Well" Littlefoot said to the others. "My mother died right after the big earthshake and I met my friends soon after. We traveled here together and were reunited with out families. We've had a few adventures since we got here."
"Oh?" asked Strafe curiously.
"Yeah." Littlefoot explained. "Once we even raised a baby sharptooth that we rescued from egg stealers. We named him Chomper."
Littlefoot then told them of his other adventures.
"Sounds like you have an exciting life." Strafe said. Normaly, she would have been a bit skeptical but from her own experience, she knew that just about anything was possible, especially since she was friends with more than one sharptooth.

Grandma Longneck nodded, "He is here, apparently he arrived with a group of his friends including a spikethumb, not to long ago and they were going around meeting some of the residents here to get to know folks since they are planning on living here. They all seemed a very friendly group. Our grandson Littlefoot is showing them around. A female rainbowface is showing them around a bit also, though she's not been here as long as Littlefoot and we have so doesn't now most of the areas as well. They were headed to where Littlefoot's friend Petrie's mother nested so they could meet some of the flyers here," She said using her head to look and point over in the direction of where Petrie's Mother's nest was. "Is Snork a relative of yours?"

Dante nodded.
"Sounds like you've had just about as much excitement as we all have, Littlefoot. Oh, and from what I've seen, you're really lucky. Your friends are all such nice people, and you have this wonderful valley to call home..."
He said, smiling as he st next to Hunter...

Mim smiles as she looks at Dante, "if you choose to stay and live here it'll be your home also. You seem friendly and I think you can fit in well here."

Grandpa longneck smiled and said "Even though it is raining...I don't see why we can't help you find Snork." The elderly longneck stood up and nodded his head as he said "Please follow me, I'll take you to where they were heading last, if that's okay with you."

Longtail was shocked to hear what Littlefoot had gone through. It brought a smile to his face as he knew that he had something in common with the young longneck. He then turned to Mim and said "Oh yes...we plan on staying. There is no doubt about that!"
He then laughed a little as he said "Hey guys what did happen in that cave in the mysterious beyond anyway?"
Hunter immediately blushed and looked to the ground she was seated on. She then momentarily looked over at Dante with a blush on her face.

Dante, for his part, went bright red, looked at Hunter, and then looked up at the sky, blushing even more.
"N-Nothing happened. Nothing at all. Really"
He stammered...

"He is my son." the old swimmer replied quietly. "We didn't travel her together and I need to know that he is alright."
He had come to regret what he did in the past. having been banished from the herd for his treatment of his son, he had come to see the error of his ways. He never realized how much he had before until it was gone.

Strafe watched as the pounding rain gradually turned into a light drizzle. She rested against Kaga. They had been huddled together beneath the trees for about an hour now.
She asked, "So Littlefoot, who else is there for us to meet?"
The young longneck replied, "We should probably try to meet Cera alone first. Her father can be a bit hotheaded sometimes toward newcomers. Once everyone gets to know you, things shoud be alright.
"Huh" Snork huffed. "Let's hope he is nothing like my father was."

Mim nodded, "That is best, Cera is nicer then her dad, in my limited experience with her and from what I hear. I don't think he gets along well with anyone." She said in a calm voice. In her time in the valley she had learned what he was like and found things were better and more enjoyable once she learned Threehorn's patterns of behavior as to where he usually want and where he usually was a certain times of the day and then was able to pretty easily avoid the places he went.

"That sounds like a decent plan. I much prefer talking to nicer people."
Dante said, eyes brightening cheerfully...

Far from the valley walls, another raptor, Virgil, stood among a small herd of others, glaring at the walls menacingly...

Hunter sighed and said "Threehorns...stubborn, bossy and just unpleasant...count me out."
Longtail frowned but said "Okay Hunter your choice, but when you miss out on meeting a new friend, don't come crying to me!"
Hunter just scoffed and said "Not likely."

Mim nods, "I understand, but maybe you won't mind meeting Cera at least, and not her father, up to you though." She said from where she was sitting and resting.

Hunter raised an eye as she said "I guess I could try..."
Longtail smiled and said "Now thats the spirit!"

"Well let's go then." Littlefoot said to the others and started out across the wet meadow.
Snork and Strafe followed him for a bit and eventually, they neared a small clumg of pine trees where Cera lived. Topsy did not seem to be home at the moment but Littlefoot didn't see Cera either.
"It looks like they're not home right now. Maybe we can come back later. I guess I can show you around for a bit." Littlefoot announced.
"Sure." Snork said as Littlefoot let them onwards.
First, Littlefoot showed everyone the main water hole and then the falls.
Snork said to Strafe, "I think we're going to like it just fine here."
"Yeah" the iguanodon replied as she followed Littlefoot toward the stone arch that marked the main meeting area for the Great Valley residents.
Littlefoot explained, "This is where everybody meets if there is an emergency. Other than that, there is rarely anyone here. You can see the smoking mountain over there and Two Boulder Pass up ahead. It is mainly just a landmark we use to figure out where we are in the valley."
"Thanks." Strafe nodded. By now, it was late afternoon and Littlefoot decided to check and see if Cera was home now.
As they approached the clump of trees again, Littlefoot could see Topsy asleep and Cera heading toward the river.
"Come on, guys." he urged. "Let me introduce you to my friend."
(OCC: Who is playing Cera and Mr. Threehorn again? I forgot.)

Mim walked along with the others, knowing most of the spots, but not all of them, and knowing only 1 way to a few, and learned a new way to some of those. "Nice." She said a time or two during the tour, always enjoying certain sights of the Great Valley.
(ooc: I don't think anyone is playing either of them. )

Hunter had to admit the walk around the valley was far more interesting than she expected. She was impressed by how big this valley was. She then turned to Mim and asked "If Cera's father were to find out about us sharpteeth being here...how would he act, not that I don't already know."
Longtail laughed and said "I wouldn't worry about it. As long as you stay away from him...you should be fine."

Mim thought for a moment, "Not very pleasantly. He'd likely want you to go." She paused before going on, "Though if you can get some to speak on your behalf that may go better, especially if you or someone wanted a meeting. Maybe show some respected grown ups here like Grandpa and Grandma Longneck and Mr. Thicknose you are willing and can eat green food or other sorts like crawlers or something like that, things may go easier." She looked at those present, including Littlefoot, "Do any of you have ideas? The meeting with Cera instead of her dad is a good one." She looked over at Littlefoot who had suggested it.

Longtail smiled and said "I'm sure you are right Mim, we just need to give the others time to understand us and we shouldn't have a problem. I would like to meet Cera though."
Hunter smiled too and said "Yeah...what are we waiting for?"

"Well then, what're we waiting around for? Let's go meet Cera!"
Dante said, chewing on a twig...

Hunter smiled and pulled on Dante's tail and said "Wait, perhaps we should wait here...after all...with Cera's dad sleeping so close..if he saw us...he charge first and ask questions never. Until Cera is a safe distance from her father I say we wait."
Longtail snorted and said "What's wrong Hunter...ya scared?"
Hunter shook her head and replied "No...I just don't want to end up hurting the old fool for doing something stupid."
Longtail then flapped his wings and followed Littlefoot as he lead them to Cera at the river, calling over his wings "Yeah right."

Littlefoot suggested, "I'll see if I can bring her over here. Wait here."
The longneck ran over to where Cera was and said, "Hey Cera, there is someone I want you to meet. They're over there."
Littlefoot gestured with his head toward where the others were.

Cera looked over to where Littlefoot's voice came from and started walking over to where Littlefoot was.
"Who is it?" Cera asked as she grew closer. She paused as she saw the group and looked back at Littlefoot walking a bit closer to him.
"You do know some of them are sharpteeth." She whispered to Littlefoot. To the others she nodded, "Hello, are you visiting or staying?" She asked.
"They are new here and want to stay." Mim said. She stayed in the back resting as they others talked.

Longtail nodded and said "It's okay. These two here..." He pointed to Dante and Hunter and said "They aren't strong enough to hurt you...after all you are a threehorn right?" Then he added "Nice to meet you!"
Topsy had begun to stir in his sleep. He was having a sleep story about sharpteeth invading the valley and chasing his daughter. He woke up with a start and looked around for Cera, and after a few moments called her name... "Cera?! Where are YOU?"

Cera got a bit of an annoyed expression on her face, and made a low sound as well, not sure about the fast biters, but having to admit to herself that Littlefoot was often right about trusting people in the past.
When she heard her dad she looked at the 2 sharpteeth talking in a low whisper so her dad would not hear and speaking quickly, "Nice to meet you too. The 2 of you better hide and not let my dad see you." she said, then turning towards where her dad was she spoke up louder so he could hear.
"I'm just over here Daddy, talking to Littlefoot. He met some new arrivals who he wanted me to meet."

"Right. Good idea, Cera."
Dante whispered as he jumped up into a tree hearby...

Kaga watched from the woods as Cera spoke to her father. He was hoping there would be no confrontation. He really was not in the mood for that at the moment.

Hunter didn't need to be told twice and jumped into a bush on the other side of a nearby hill. Knowing that being seen by a threehorn could be big trouble. She stayed low and hoped for the best.
Longtail stood next to Littlefoot looking intimidated by Topsy. He was shaking...he'd never seen a fully grown Threehorn before, and he looked grumpy...that was always a bad thing, but with a threehorn...it could be life threatening.
Longtail then settled for just waving his tail at Topsy hoping to give a warm hello.
Topsy however was happy to know his daughter was safe, but she was with newcomers, and they were always strange. But none of them looked dangerous...at least not yet. He decided he'd see these newcomers face to face.
He walked up the hill in the light and could now see a flyer, a spikethumb, and another swimmer, but the flyer seemed...different, then he noticed it...it was his tail...it was long. too long to be a child's tail so he nodded his head to the new comers and promptly said "Alright, as long as they are safe, I suppose no harm done...yet. If you wish you may go play Cera."

Cera smiled while looking at her dad, "Thanks Daddy." She then turned to Littlefoot, "So what do you want to do?" She asked him, curious what sort of idea he would have.

Topsy nodded as he walked away and said to himself 'I'm going to have to keep an eye on these newcomers, they may be hiding something. And I plan on finding out what!'
Longtail smiled and said "I don't care what we play...as long as I get to have some fun!"

"Sounds like a plan. Where can we meet?"
Dante whispered from his hiding spot...

Cera looked over at Littlefoot, "What are some ideas that you have?" She asked, waiting to see what ideas that Littlefoot may have.
"And where shall we go?" Mim asked, hearing Dante's whisper and asking in case any there had not heard it.

"Hmm" Littlefoot said. "There is a place in the woods where we play a lot. Come on. This way."
Littlefoot started off into the woods.
Snork and Strafe followed.
"Littlefoot," Strafe said. "Eventually, everyone is going to find out about Dante and Hunter. do you have any idea of how we can convince everyone that they are no threat?
The young longneck replied, "I don't know. I have to think on it. For now, let's just have fun. Maybe later we can get together with the rest of my friends."

Longtail smiled at Littlefoot's enthusiasm and said "That's a good idea...I'll go get them!" he then flapped his wings and lifted himself into the air and towards the tree Dante was hiding in and whispered...
"It's safe to come down now. We're going to play with Littlefoot and Cera. Come on." He then remembered something as he asked "Don't forget to get Hunter as well!"

Cera nodded, "Let's go there. It's bound to be more fun then standing around here all day." She said. She was glad they were doing something and going to have fun. She wanted to play and have fun instead of just standing around.
Mim followed along. Thinking of how to get Dante and Hunter more accepted and keeping the others well in sight as she traveled along with them. She was sure between the group there were bound to be several ideas that would work.

Dante dropped nimbly out of the tree, stumbled, then landed unceremoniously on his tail.
"Ow. Ok, cool."
He walked over to the bush were Hunter was hiding, leaned close to it, then whispered...
"You can come out now...Hunter."

Hunter jumped at her name being called as she ahd fallen asleep during her time in waiting. She glared through the bush and saw Dante staring back, and she smiled. She then nodded her head and stood up and followed him with the others being sure to keep out of sight and low to the ground.
She then said "Thanks Dante..can't believe I fell asleep like that."

Mim spoke as the group walked along, "One way is if they can or are willing to eat certain foods like green food or crawlers or other things that show they are not a threat, perhaps when with Littlefoot's grandparents and certain other more open minded and nicer grown ups. That may be a start at least." Mim said, not sure if her idea was a good one or not, but it seemed like a logical one.
"Ha, a sharptooth eat green food, I'd like to see that." Cera Said.
"And at least they didn't remain hidden from all the grown ups, that should help a bit also in the long run." Mim said.
"Are we going to have fun or talk?" Cera asked.
"We can talk a bit while walking and have fun once the destination is reached and the type of fun decided." Mim said.
"Yea, whatever." Cera said a bit impatient to get to the place they were heading to and start something fun.

"Hey...Don't worry about it, Hunter. It happens to all of us, right?"
Dante asked cheerfully, then turned to Mim.
"Yeah. That's a good idea."
He said, chewing happily on a small twig he had picked...

Littlefoot led the group onward.
"It isn't much farther now, guys." he said as they neared the clearing.
Snork looked at the meadow and took in the scenic view that surrounded him. The tall mountains loomed high into the sky nearby. The meadow itself was surrounded by trees and had a small stream running through the middle. A large flat stone stood in the middle of the meadoe like a large table.
Snork smiled, "I don't know about you guys but I'm just gonna relax in the water for a bit."
"Suit yourself!" Strafe called after him. She asked Littlefoot, "So what are we going to do? Any ideas?"
Littlefoot replied, "Hopefully he others will be here soon. Then we can decide on what to do."

Kaga followed the others and admired the beautiful land all around him. The Great Valley was such a scenic and beautiful place. Kaga was truely happy to be here. Perhaps some day, he would start a family with Strafe and the two of them would settle down. He walked alongside Strafe. looking at her and smiling to her as he walked along. He loved her more than ever now.
Kaga returned his attention to everyone else when they arrived at the meadow.
"Yeah." he said. "I hope Longtail returns with them soon."

Mim looked at the others, "Now that you've seen some of the Great Valley have you decided where you'd like to stay, or still thinking it over? There are many places. " She said.
"Yea, you'd be happier if you chose places not near my dad sleeping area, believe me." Cera said looking at the others. They seemed nice, but she knew her dad didn't like strangers.

Longtail then chose that moment to come tumbling out of the sky, and rolling across the ground coming to a stop at Littlefoots feet. He blinked several times and then turned and shouted "That wasn't funny Hunter!"
The Alimon came running up behind the grounded flyer with a broad smile and laughing as she said "Well...it was funny to me, and Dante too. Realx, you said you'd found the others, and I just wanted to make sure they knew it as well."
Longtail sighed and giggled as he replied "Your lucky I like you..."
Hunter smiled again and just said "I know..."

"Well, now that everyone is here..." Kaga said, "We can finally do something. How about that game where we take turns knocking down pinecones with rocks?"
He wasn't sure the others would want to play it but still, it was worth suggesting.

"That is a fun game, how do the rest of you feel about it?" Cera asked, looking at Littlefoot first then the others.
"I've seen it played before." Mim said.

Hunter and Longtail giggled and said "Yeah...I'll play that!" the two looked at each other and began laughing aloud.

Snork and Strafe nodded and Littlefoot said, "Alright then. Someone get a rock. I'll get the pinecones."
Littlefoot quickly gathered some pinecones while Snork set off looking for a suitable rock. Strafe walked down to the stream and searched.
There was a nice round rock in the middle and Strafe called, "Snork, I found one!"
Snork nodded and waded into the water to retrieve it.
"Alright, guys," he said. "We've got our rock and our pinecones. Let's play."
(OCC: When are the bad guys going to show up? Also, if I were to restart my animal rpg in the random rpg section, would anyone be interested in joining?)

"What order shall we go in? We can't all go at once." Cera asked looking at the others present.
Mim nodded, "yes, it would be a bit of a mess if everyone tried to go at once wouldn't it?" She said, giggling a bit at the mental image she got of everyone trying to go at once and the funny images she got that happened as a result, everyone falling over each other, & some getting tangled up.

Kaga suggested, "I'll go if nobody else wants to go first."
He set up the cones and rolled the stone at then, knocking down five of them but leaving the rest standing.
"Oh well. Who's next?" the iguanodon asked.
He walked over and sat down next to a boulder waiting for the next person to go. Kaga scratched five dashes into the boulder to mark the number of cones he knocked down. Just then, Kaga thought he saw movement in the bushes nearby. He walked over to investigate but saw nothing. Still, he couldn't shake the feeling he was being watched. Kaga want back over to the boulder and sat down, watching the others play. He would gland over at the bushes from time to time though, watcing to see if whatever it was returned.

Dante sized up his shot, then grinned, took aim, and kicked the rock, knocking over seven with ease.
"Ha! Beat that! Seven!"
He laughed, walking over to where Kaga was, scratching seven marks in the rock and grinning...

Not far away, Vrigil sat, crouched in the shadows...
"Yes...That's right Dante. Keep playing your silly games. Soon...You'll be watching me and my herd kill your precios friends..."
He whispered...

Longtail smiled and said "Sure..I'll beat that! Watch this!" He ran forward and smacked the rock with his tail knocking over nine. "HA! Told you I'd get a higher score than you Dante!"
Longtail walked over and scratched nine marks into the rock and sat down to let the others play.

Littlefoot said, "Watch this!" and used his tail to roll the stone at the cones. Seven cones fell and one knocked an eith over.
"Well, not my best shot." Littlefoot said. He sat down with Kaga and Longtail as Snork stepped up for a try. Snork, being an adult, rolled the rock much harder than the Littlefoot or Longtail. He was sure it would knock them all down but was embarrassed when it hit a tree root and bounced right over the cones and rolled off into the woods.
"Way to go, Snork!" Strafe scoffed, though not in a mean way.
Snork sighed and said, "Hold on, guys. I'll go get it."
With that, he walked into the woods after the rock.

"At least everyone is having fun." Mim said, "Some would not believe so many different types could have fun together & get along." Mim said, thinking how some preferred to stay only ith their own kind.
"It's quite normal for the Great Valley." Cera said, "Those others who think otherwise are just stupid." She said.
"Or have not seen so many other types getting along." Mim said, to try to soften what Cera said.
"Whatever." Cera said.

Snork continued to search for the round stone. He picked his way through the dense brush searching for it.
Strafe walked up behind him and asked, "Having trouble?"
"Kinda" replied Snork as he dug through the bushes.
He finally saw the round stone under a root and grabbed it.
"Alright, let's get back to the others and finish the game." Strafe suggested.
She turned to head back to the others when she thought she saw something move in the bushes.
"What was that?" she asked Snork.
"What was what?" replied the swimmer.
"I thought I saw something over there." She answered.
Snork suggested, "Maybe it is Longtail trying to play a joke on us."
"Can't be." Strafe corrected him. "He is over there with Kaga."
"Let's just get back to the others." Snork said, feeling a bit creeped out now.

Kaga thought he heard something moving in the bushes as well. The rustling sound abruptly stopped when he looked in it's direction.
"Hmm. Weird." said the Iguanodon.
He looked toward the woods and was relieved to see Snork and Strafe returning with the stone.

Longtails head suddenly jumped up and he started sniffing the air. He looked around for a moment before saying..."Uhh...I don't want to alarm anyone here...but I smell something...I have no clue what it is...but I think we should be on our guard."

Mim looks in the direction that Longtail was sniffing. "I wonder who and what it could be." Mim looks at the other sharpteeth present, "Have any of you smelled anything like what Longtail smells?" She asked.
"Why not just make them come out." Cera said looking as if she was about to go over to the area in question.

Dante tensed up, and he said...
"I recognize that scent. It's him... Virgil..."
His eyes narrowed to slits as he said this, and he looked towards where the scent was coming from, ready for anything...

Hunter and Longtail both stood up wide eyed and tensed as well, remembering what happened last time.
Longtail bared his teeth and asked "So, I get another chance to rip him apart....Perfect!"
Hunter just frowned and asked "How did he get here...did he follow us or what?"

"Ha, if he's hiding he must be a bigger scardy egg then Petrie. " Cera said.

"I woudn't say that. He's got a trap planned, most likely. He's clever like that."
Dante said, looking off at the path...

Longtail and Hunter both continue to look around waiting for something to happen.
Longtail then asks "Mim, how fast can you go get help? Not that we'll need it, but it would be nice that if something should happen to one of us, we know help is on the way."
Hunter spoke next "He may have a trap set Dante, but that doesn't mean we're going to fall for it."

"I can run very fast if need be, but who should I go get if need be, or would you prefer just any of the large grown ups around here?" Mim asked.
"A trap, sounds like something a coward would do instead of attacking outright." Cera said.
"I wonder if it may be dangerous if someone could fly over the spot, but then he may be alerted to having been discovered. Or that may be part of the trap so perhaps is to much to risk." Mim said.
"Why not just ask Littlefoot's grandfather to stomp on his for a bit." Cera said.

"Great." Snork said sarcastically. "Him again."
Snork then replied to Cera's comment, "Well, from what I saw last time, all he did was call names. He only caught Longtail because he ambushed him like a coward."
Strafe said, "We were just over there. He could have attacked s then. Maybe he wants us all at once."
Snork asked, "I don't know how he plans to pull that off. Still, you kids better stay close to us. Dante, what do we do now?"

"Why not ambush him, see how he likes it." Cera said.
"I wonder if he is alone or if he has others with him, perhaps another type of ambush. Hidden around somewhere, perhaps where the wind will take their smell way so they can't be smelled or they may be using certain plants to hide their smell." Mim said.

Longtail smiled and said "Not a chance. If there were others with him, I'd smell em. No sharptooth can escape my sniffer! But I don't know where he is...he's moving around, so I can't tell where exactly he is. Dante? Think you can pin him down?"

"How about some not with him but close by who can run in fairly quickly if he gives a call?" Mim asked.

Dante nodded, looking around for a moment, then his eyes flared as he said...
"He's this way. But I can sense...Something isn't quite right here..."
Dante looked around then added...
"Be careful..."

Kaga knew something wasn't right. When Dante mentioned Virgil, Kaga knew this wasn't going to be good.
"Maybe I should go with you, Mim. It probably isn't safe to go out there alone."

Hunter nodded her head and said aloud "I think Kaga is right Mim, he should go with you it may not be safe. While you may not be his main target Virgil will take every advantage he can get with us."
Longtail on the other hand was watching Dante with a ready to strike pose, and when he pointed out Virgil's current hiding spot Longtail bellowed "I WANT A REMATCH YOU COWARD!" He then jumped forward and into the bushes ready for anything that would attack him.
Hunter would've said something but she knew Longtail would rather charge in alone than wait for a trap to be sprung and hurt everyone. 'That flyer is so stupid sometimes, but he's brave...I'll give him that much!' she said to herself.

Mim nodded, "That may be best. Getting any one of us alone would be easier to deal with then if we stay together or at least in small groups & I'd be glad of the help." She said.
"He has the right idea. Wait for me." Cera said then charged in the same direction she had seen Longtail go. She wasn't one for waiting around for plans to be talked over especially since Littlefoot had not said anything so far. Let him and the others think while she acted. She preferred things this way anyway.

Hunter saw what Cera was planning to do..and she shouted "STOP! Longtail can fight his own battles...if he gets hurt, he won't be able to help you and himself. Just let him go."

"I can take care of myself." Cera said as she continued charging.
"She seems rather, impulsive & headstrong." Mim said.

Littlefoot looked around and asked, "Who is it? What's going on?"
"Trouble!" Strafe shouted as she looked around for any sign of Virgil.
Snork suggested, "Maybe you kids should go with Kaga and and Mim. Get back to your families where you'll be safe!"
Strafe said to Kaga, "I'll be fine. Take care of them."
Littlefoot yelled after Cera, "He's right. Let's go!"
He ran to catch up with kaga and Mim.

Dante sprinted alongside Longtail.
"I hope you weren't planning on leaving me behind. You were, weren't you?"
He asked, eyes set resolutely on where his brother was...

Longtail stopped running for a moment and said "I think I've got his scent, but I still can't find him! VIRGIL YOU LITTLE EGG! COME OUT AND FIGHT ME! I'll take you on by myself, and this time I WON'T lose!"
Hunter was torn between protecting the others while they went to get help and jumping into the bushes to aid Dante and Longtail, but in the end she turned and ran with Littlefoot and Mim along with the others to go get help.
She turned back for several seconds and whispered "good luck you two."

Mim ran along with the others running to get help. She thought of going faster, but thought it safer if they stayed together, even though they were not heading towards where Virgil was it was always best to be wary and staying with the group made more sense then running at her fastest.
Cera Slowed and came to a stop. "If 2 or 3 of you are going to be fighting this Virgil then it wouldn't be fair if I joined in too. Hardly fair. That's the only reason I'll go with the rest of you. If it was Longtail or Dante by himself then I'd not be going back." Cera said. To her it did seem unfair if she joined in a fight against 1 person if 2 or 3 others were already going to join in. So she decided, for now, to head with Mim and the others.

Longtail was standing next to Dante, as neither of them had dared to make a move. But then out of the corner of his eye, Longtail spotted a shadow moving, and just as he was turning to face it , another shadow moved, and then two more. Longtail swallowed hard and said "I think Virgil brought friends. Get ready for a fight Dante, this is going to get hard and fast!"
Hunter was keeping up well with the others and slowed only for a moment to make sure Cera was keeping up with them. "I really do hope those two are alright." she said aloud.

Cera made her way back to where Mim and the others were and continued with them. "So what sort of help shall we get?" She asked.
"I'm not sure, maybe find one of the large grown ups, preferably with experience fighting sharpteeth." Mim said.

Snork said to Strafe, "Maybe you should go with the others. I'll help Dante and Longtail."
"Not a chance! Kaga can protect them. I'm staying here!" replied the iguanodon.
She spotted movement nearby and said, "There's more of them!"
Snork didn't care how they got here anymore. They were threatening his friends.
Snork and Strafe joined Dante and Longtail and prepared to take on whatever came at them.
Meanwhile, Littlefoot ran with the others throuh the forest toward the herds.
"Don't worry!" he replied to Hunter's comment. "They have Snork and Strafe with them too."

Kaga continued after the others. The edge of the forest was now visible and Kaga knew they would be in the open soon. While it meant they would be visible to any enemies and would have nowhere to hide, the enemy would be visible as well.
"Come on guys!" he shouted. "Just a little farther!"
He would feel a lot safer once they were out of the trees.

As the others ran, a figure dropped in front of them, eyes narrowed.
"I'm sorry... My master sent me to keep you from getting help to prevent his revenge. I suggest you just stay quiet, and I won't have to kill you..."
Dante looked at the shadows around him, shutting his eyes for a moment.
"Three enemies, at least. Strong, I'd guess... Longtail...Do we use our...other selves?"

Longtail gave a light chuckle and replied to Dante "Where have you been, I called on my other half when I realized it was Virgil...I'm just waiting him out now." Then to make his point Longtial turned his head and showed Dante his yellow eye.
Hunter scowled and said "Just stay out of our way, we will be getting help, and I'll kill you to get to it!"

Kaga shouted angrily to the newcomer, "Screw your master! He's an idiot! Now get out of my way, you little cretin!"

Mim looked at the fastbiter, "your neck won't be the first that I snapped." She said, going for the fastbiter. She thought maybe not a good move, but it may cause some confusing and maybe an element of surprise, hopefully helping the others.
"Yea, lets get'em." Cera said, also going for the same fastbiter as Mim did, thinking that 2 on one was ok odds.
(Ooc: I've no idea what sorts of powers folks have, I also assume these are fastbiters, sorry if I"m wrong.))

Snork looked around in the bushes and spotted dark shapes moving toward them.
"I see them! Here they come!" he shouted to the others and prepared to fight.
Strafe walked up beside him and said, "I am ready for them. Let them come."
She stood ready to attack when they got close enough.

Longtail was upset about having to wait this long about attacking Virgil, and truth be told, he wanted to get this fight over with so he could make sure the others were okay...He then called out "Okay if the mighty Virgil wants to be a girl about fighting me now that I know you're there..then fine, Good luck running away!"

Kireek dodged around Mim, tripping her.
"Ah, well. Such a pity that I have to kill you..."

Mim rolled instead of falling flat and came up, not as skilled as an expert in martial arts, but ok. Cera ran up behind Kireek and tried to hit him with her head in the same manner that she smashed rocks.
"You'll not do it by talking." Mim said, trying to keep his attention focused on her and allowing the others to do whatever ideas they had.

Littlefoot siezed an opportunity and bolted for the edge of the forest while the others distracted Kireek. He did not bother to look back. The longneck just kept focusing on what was ahead. He knew he had to reach the herd and get help.

Kaga saw Littlefoot run away and eaped in front of Kireek to block his path.
The iguanodon looked down at the raptor and said, "If you chase him, we'll get away. If you stay and fight us, he'll get away. Either way, you lose. You may as well just give up and get out of here."

Hunter was surprised at Mim's agility but she too seized the moment and slipped into the shadows and followed Littlefoot out of the forest, just in case he needed help finding the other elders. She managed to catch up to him and asked "Do you know where you're going? Cause I don't"
Longtail noticed a shadow moving, and without thinking pounced on the moving shadow and tackled it to the ground. A scuffle could be heard, and Longtail screamed in pain and shouted "Now you're mine!"

Kireek laconically looked after the fleeing Littlefoot, and then turned to Kaga grinning madly.
"You think so? That may be the case, except...I have backup..."
His eyes narrowed to slits as he continued, saying...
"Now, perish."

Dante lunged the second shadow, flooring it with a vicious kick.
"Wha-?"
The opponent wasn't Virgil, nor was it a familiar face...

Dodging an attack, Kaga said, "Is that the best you've got? You're pathetic!"
He backhanded Kireek away from him and added, "So far, all you have done is make empty threats. It looks like Virgil can't find competent goons so he had to settle for you."
Kaga took a step forward and said, "Besides, if you do anything to us, you'll have this entire valley after you."

Snork rushed at one of the attackers and grabbed the troodon by the throat.
He didn't know this one so he just flung the raptor aside and was about to go for the one he was sure was Virgil when Strafe shouted, "Look out!"
Someone struck him from behind, knocking the swimmer to the ground.

((OOC: No, there is only Kireek near where Mim and Cera currently are. However Kireek has alluded to having allies, he may be lying, but I don't know. :^.^: ))
Longtail was a bit confused at first as he asked...
"Who are you? And more importantly why are you here? Dante do you know who this is?"

"How do you know that there are others or that you are not just lieing?" Mim said. "I think if we feed you to some fastbiters and sharpteeth here no one will come to your rescue." Mim said.
Cera stood ready, she had an idea or 2 but was going to wait and see how things developed before she did any of them. She remembered Mr. Thicknose mentioning how threehorns could use their heads for more then smashing rocks & how Littlefoot sometimes had sorta good ideas.

Suddenly, another raptor walked back into the clearing holding Littlefoot and Hunter.
"These weaklings were escaping you, Kireek. Lord Virgil would be most displeased."
Kireek looked at him, narrowing his eyes.
"Silence Alastor. I intended to let you entertain yourself. That is all."

Dante looked at the unconcious foe, shaking his head...
"This is not a good thing. Virgil must have allies now..."

Mim got with the others wondering what to do now.
Cera was thinking. If they could not get to the grown ups, then maybe the grown ups could come to them. Petrie wasn't here to send off for help, so that left only 1 alternative that she could think of. She took a deep breath, threw back her head and shouted as loud as she could. Not a shout of anger.
Mr. Thicknose was eating and hearing the shout looked in the direction. "That does not sound good." He looked off to one side. "I do believe some flyers nest near here. I think I'll ask if some of them may not mind flying over in that direction to see what all the screaming is about." He said mainly to himself and set off.

Hunter looked really upset. Not at the fact that she was captured again, but the fact that she didn't see or hear it coming. She then hissed and said "When I get another chance, you are so going to die...I promise you that!" She said to Alastor with as much hatred as she could muster.
Longtail looked over to Dante and said "So if this isn't Virgil, then where is that little hatchling at?"

Snork lay on the ground and saw his attacker walk around and stand in front of him. Snork suddelny rolled onto his back, made a fist, and punched the attacker square in the face, sending him flying backwards through the air.
Snork got to his feet and shouted, "Is this the best you've got, Virgil? Is the mighty Virgil too scared to confront us himself?"
Strafe whisperd to him, "Don't get overconfident."
Snork alughed and replied, "That creep doesn't scare me. Besides, he ruined our game!"

Littlefoot growled to Alastor, "Put me down, you creep!"
He smacked the raptor between the legs with his tail.

Kaga taunted, responding to Kireek's comment "Sure. I bet. I can't decide which of you two is more pathetic. You..." he said refering to Kireek, "Because you're all talk and no show, or you..." he said revering to Alastor, "Because you just got whacked by a kid. You're both pretty low, threatening children an all. Your mother must be real proud."
The iguanodon took a step forward and said angrily, "I'm ending this right now."
He swung one of his front legs at Kireek, aiming at him with his spiked thumb.

Mr. Thicknose arrived at Rhyn's family's nest and looked up.
"Hello, is anyone home?" He asked. He saw a head of an adult poke over then another, followed by some smaller heads of their children.
"Hello, do you want something Mr. Thicknose?" The father asked.
"Yes, I wonder if you heard that screaming a while ago?" Mr. Thicknose asked.
"Yes, I wonder what is up." The father said.
"I am also curious. I was wondering if one of you could fly over in that area and have a look to see what is going on. It may be nothing, but one can never tell till one has seen." Mr. Thicknose said.
"I was about to do that since I see no other flyers in that area." The father said.
"Thanks, and good luck." Mr. Thicknose said.
"Can I go too daddy?" Rhyn asked.
"No, you stay here. I"ll be right back." He said and then launched himself into the air, flying at a high altitude and over in the direction of where the scream came from.

"Lets all fight them. They don't look very strong." Mim said.

"Come on out, coward!" Snork shouted, trying to lure the enemy out.
He was begining to wonder if Virgil was even still there. Perhaps he had sent in his menions and left. It would be a very cowardly thing to do and the more Snork thought about it, the more angry he became.

Littlefoot watched as Kaga and Cera attacked the two intuders and then found some rocks that gave him an idea. Using his tail, Littlefoot began flinging the rocks at Kireek and Alastor.

Dante suddenly saw a flash of movement, then dove, pushing his friends out of the way as several sharpened rocks flew towards them. Virgil stood there, grinning evilly.
"Good Dante. Now, you have to face me..."

Kireek dodged Kaga's swipe, then flipped backwards, shattering the rocks that Littlefoot had launched at him...

Even as the others fought against Kireek's attack, Hunter stood absolutely still as if she were afraid, but that was far from the truth....she was only waiting for the right moment to make her move and bring Kireek down without him realizing what had happened. As Kireek smashed the rocks that Littlefoot had thrown, she saw her one and only chance...and took it!
Hunter lunged at the fastbitter and tried to bite down on his neck, while using her claws to try scratch at his face.

Longtail smiled as Dante pushed him out of the way and he heard Virgil's voice...Longtail then slid into the shadows of the trees around him and positioned himself behind Virgil and when he was sure he was solely focused on Dante, Longtail jumped at Virgil without making a single sound and opened his beak for a single bite onto his neck.

Mim and Cera went at Alabaster since Kireek seemed to be occupied. Cera charged horn first while Mim came at him at a more orderly pace and not charging.

Rhyn's father flew over to the spot the shout came from. He circled looking down. "My my," He said to himself, "This does not look like they came here for a relaxing dip in one of our pools." He said as he circled around and headed back to his nest to tell Mr. Threehorn as fast as he could.
After he had be told he nodded, "Yes, I agree. Some of the other grown ups need to be told. One of you tell Mr. Threehorn, he loves to fight. And Grandpa & Grandma Longneck, they are big and experienced. Be sure to tell some of the braver and experienced adults and make sure to tell some other flyers so the word can be spread. I'll head there myself." Mr. Thicknose said.
The family of flyers headed off, each to tell a different person as Mr. Thicknose started in the direction of where the shouting had come from. Rhyn went to tell the Longnecks, while her father went to tell Mr. Threehorn, her mother another adult, and her siblings to tell some other flyers.

Things had gone far enough. Kaga wanted to end this now and get help for his friends. Ignoring Alastor, Kaga took another swipe at Kireek while he was distracted with Hunter, hoping the fastbiter would not be able to fend off two attacks at once.

Snork stood back up and glared at Virgil.
"I see you finally decided to show up." the swimmer gorlwed.
Strafe whispered to Snork, "Let Dante and Longtail deal with that jerk."
A fastbiter tried to attack Strafe from the side but she smacked it away with her tail and said, "Let's keep these guys away from the others!"
"Right!" Snork nodded and rushed at anpther oncoming enemy.

Littlefoot was surprised by how fast Kireek's reflexes were. However, now that the fastbiter was preoccupied, Littlefoot decided to focus on Alastor. He began to look for something else he could throw at the raptors.

Virgil cracked his neck idly, cooly gazing at the group in front of him.

Alastor noticed Littlefoot moving, and he leapt in front of him, eye narrowed and bloodthirsty.
"Boo."

Never one to take an insult or pass up a chance at some pre fight banter Longtail laughed and said to Virgil "You really are delusional you know that...the last time you caught me off guard...that's not going to happen this time....now I'm going to have my sweet, sweet revenge!" Longtail then jumped forward towards Virgil with his claws bared and ready for the first strike.

Hunter had missed her attack by only a few inches! She was officially mad now, and to prove it she bellowed a war cry and charged forward at Kireek in a blind fury hoping to get some food and protect her friends all at the same time!

Grandpa Longneck was sitting near the Thundering Falls enjoying the light of a new day. He looked around and noticed one of Rhyn's hatchlings coming towards the falls, but they were flying rather fast, so it must've been important. Grandpa Longneck watched as the young flyer land in a tree the elderly longneck asked "Are you alright, what seems to be the problem?"

The flyer looked at Grandpa Longneck. "Hi sir, Mr. Thicknose thought he heard something and asked my dad to fly over, then he asked us to fly around and tell some others that he saw some fastbiters fighting some of the new comers and children." The hatchling said, giving directions to the place. "He say them mainly battling the friendly sharpteeth that came with the new commers and they and the other adults with them are doing protecting the young ones when he saw them."She said hoping she got enough information across.

A look of concern crossed the elderly longnecks face as he said "Dear this sounds like far too much trouble. Please go find a dark colored flyer named Onyx...he'll be able to help as well." Grandpa Longneck then turned in the general direction the hatchling flyer pointed at and started walking that way, fully intent on help who he could.

Dante glared at Virgil, eyes narrowed, then grinned maliciously.
"Well, well. The brave warrior finally shows his face. Did you come here just to lose, Virgil?"
He lunged with a spinning attack aimed at Virgil's head...

The young flyer nods and heads off to look for the dark colored flyer to give him the news as well.
Mim and Cera focused on attempting to fight Alabaster, with Mim doing a more defensive stance, Cera, of course, a more aggressive one.

Kaga was getting pissed now. This was no longer fun and the iguanodon wanted to put a stop to this now. He saw Alastor land in front of Littlefoot and seized his opportunity. Kada charged in and attacked the fast biter, whose attention was focused on Littlefoot. As he held Alastor back, Kaga shoutedto the ittle longneck, "Go! Run! I'll hold him!"

Strafe glared at Virgil and growled at his comment, "Coward! Not only would you kill your ownly living relative over something stupid, you would threaten innocent children as well. Snork and Longtail are right. You're pathetic.!"
This was unusual for Strafe, as she had always been the gentle relaxed type. Then again, she had shown what she was capable of on the journey to the valley.
Snork looked at her and smiled, ready to fend off another attack if necessary.
"Bring it, you scum!"

Littlefoot watched as Kaga fought with Alastor and nodded to Kaga's order, bolding once again toward the open field. THis time, there was nobody to intercept him. The lingneck didn't have to run far, however, because he saw his grandfather and some other adaults approaching.
Littlefoot bounded up to his grandfather and gasped exhausted, "Grandpa... Sharpteeth, in there... attacking my friends!"

Grandpa Longneck nodded and replied "Yes Littlefoot, we know...I'm glad you are safe, and don't worry about your friends we'll make sure those sharpteeth won't harm them! Lets go everyone." And with that said Grandpa Longneck continued to lead the small group of adults into the trees where the fighting was taking place.

Onyx happened at that time to be sleeping in a nearby tree when he felt something...or someone shaking him. He groaned as he opened his eyes to see another flyer...this one a child, shaking him and asking his name. The black flyer yawned and realized it was one of Rhyn's hatchlings trying to wake him as he said "Yes, little one...my name is Onyx...what can I do for you?"

Longtail watched as Dante charged his brother and then gave a wicked smile as he jumped down from the tree he was sitting in hoping to gain the advantage on Virgil as he had a score to settle!

Hunter could see that Mim, Cera, and Kaga were handling Alastor she could now focus on Kierrek and not be distracted as she charged forward hoping to draw blood.

Mim and Cera continued to focus on Alastor. Cera was looking for and waiting for an opening where she could use her horn and Mim would use mainly her hands, and sometimes her tail. "You can't succeed in your mission here." Mim said to Alastor.
"Yea, we've already beaten you, you're just to stupid to know it." Cera said.

Mr. Thicknose was with the other adults that were with Grandpa Longneck. Though not experienced in battling sharpteeth he didn't feel right being close and not helping out.
They young flyer nodded to Onyx a bit excited. He spoke quickly what he had to say, "Grandpa Longneck asked me to tell you that there are some mean sharpteeth over at [she says the area] and he's on his way there with some grown ups to fight them off and save some new commers and residents who are there & some of the friendly sharpteeth are helping to protect some of the great valley kids."

Virgil's eyes narrowed to slits as he heard Strafe's insult
"You think that my...dear brother's sin is something stupid? You think that causing the MURDER of our entire clan is STUPID?!! Then I shall have to kill you alongside him. Pity...Perhaps I would have spared you if you'd have come with me, but now..."
Dante growled deeply, menacing his brother.
"Virgil...This is between you and me. Leave my friends out of this, you monster."

Alastor grinned as he effortlessly parried Mim's strikes.
"My mission? How would you..."
He swept into a low spinning strike at her legs.
"Ever think to comprehend what I'm here for?"
Kireek dodged Hunter's strike, an evil smile crossing his face.
"My, my. You certainly are a pretty one, aren't you? Maybe you and I could go someplace together and have a little more...fun..."
He whispered in her ear, his tongue siding slowly along her face...

Strafe retorted, "I'm not afraid of you! All you've done is talk with nothing to back it up!"
Snork added, "Looks like she touched a nerve."
Still both of them wanted to let Dante and Longtail handle this. Frankly, Snork was satisfied keeping Virgil's minions out of the fight.

Mim continued to battle Alastor with Cera continuing to look for openings to use her horn. Mim hoped to keep Alastor distracted and away from the battling the others till they had taken care of their foes and could gang up on Alastor or those present.
"I can imagine what the mission is, and how the others will feel when you fail. So many will laugh at you and how you failed." Mim said.

Longtail was standing next to Dante and said "Oh no...I owe this jerk a rematch for my capture in the Mysterious Beyond! Now I know Virgil here doesnt' look like a little kid, but he sure talks like one...especially since he still has a hatchlings face....which by the way makes you look really stupid and ugly....you fool!"

Hunter felt disgusted as she felt Kireek's tongue crawling across her face and in response she bit down hard as it passed over her mouth...she then punched him in the face and pushed him back and said "I have a mate...and he's not you! Now get away from me or die!"

Dante looked over at Longtail, and nodded.
"Right. Hey Bro, you really still blame me for the massacre? It was the clan that brought it upon themselves, not me. You're too darn stuck in the past to see. Now come on. It's time we ended this!"
He yelled, flipping towards his brother with a kick...

Kireek stumbled backwards, then spat a globule of blood onto the ground.
"Well aren't we the feisty one? I like that in a woman. But if you're already taken..."
He grinned again, baring his teeth...
"Then I'll just have to settle for your corpse instead."

Longtail smiled and said "I can deal with that!" He then ran forward, not even bothering to break his stride heading right for Virgil with his claws extended. "Time for some payback!" shouted Longtail.

Hunter just smiled and said as she dodged out of Kireek's way "You won't get near me again...I won't give you the chance!" She then pounced landing on top of Kireek and pinned him down.
"Awww..did I beat you at your own game...fool!" she said as she spat on Kireeks face.

Virgil simply grinned, backstepping Dante's kick, catching Longtail, and hurling him back at Dante.
"You haven't figured it out yet, have you, my dear brother? You have no chance against me. My hatred, my rage...they make me stronger than you, you pathetic waste of scales..."

Kireek smirked as Hunter pinned him, chuckling darkly to himself.
"Actually, no...you're just where I wanted you to be..."
As he brought both feet up into Hunter's chest with a vicious kick...

Kaga finally landed a hit on Alastor, sending the fastbiter flying backwards, and shouted, "Ha! Gotcha!"
It brought him great satisfaction to finally strike the smug idiot upside the head. He glanced toward the exit of the forest and could see Littlefoot returning with the adults.
"Uh oh. Looks like you guys are in for it now!" Kaga taunted as reinforcements neared.

"SHUT UP!" shouted Longtail with rage anf fear in his voice. As he stood up after being thrown he said with a darker tone "Then you wish to die...then..." And with that he jumped forward with a monsterous screech and dug his teeth into Virgil's leg, and bit down as hard as he could.

Hunter was winded from the kick she received and grunted as she tried to get up she felt a paw pinning her to the ground now...one on her neck and the other stepping on her tail.
However at that moment Grandpa Longneck along with several other valley dinosuars arrived as the elderly longneck said "You sharpteeth get away from them right now!"

Mr. Thicknose nodded, "Your leaving would be a smart move, though I highly doubt you will choose that option. No one ever seems to for some reason." He said.

Kireek hissed faintly, then growled...
"This isn't over. Not by a long shot."
He looked back at Hunter, sneering...
"You and I still haven't had our fun yet..."
He then looked up, yelling...
"Alastor, Lien, Nosferateau, Faust! We're leaving!"
as he leapt away into the trees...

Virgil cursed and spat at Longtail, struggling to dislodge him, when Dante landed a kick square to his face.
"Like that, bro? There's plenty more where that came from!"

Despite being dragged with Virgil when Dante kicked him, the little flyer stayed lodged onto Virgils leg and was now using his claws and biting down harder drawing more blood and just wouldn't let go. He was determined to get his vengeance for last time and he was going to leave Virgil with the scars to prove it as he started to scratch and maim Virgils underbelly with his claws on his feet and wings.

Hunter felt disgusted again as Kireek mentioned 'fun'...she spat in his direction and said "That's right, you'd better run!"

Dante, too, lunged Virgil as soon as his feet touched the ground, slashing upwards along Virgil's belly with his arm as soon as he was in range.
"Hey Virgil! This is for all the heck you've put me through, and for all the times you tried to hurt my friends!"
He yelled, continuing a berserk attack...

Longtail then let go of Virgils leg and jumped up to his head and looked him dead in the eye as his right eye changed to its sharptooth yellow color. He then smiled a wicked smile and asked "Are you ready for some real sharptooth like payback....cause this...is going to HURT!!"
He then dug his claws into Virgils neck and pulled and scratched as best he could.

Virgil grinned faintly at Longtail, then swiftly grabbed him and threw him to the ground again.
"As fun as...playing with you two has been, I'm afraid we're going to have to continue this later, as it is no longer...private. And so, I bid thee adieu."
He said, leaping off into the trees...

Longtail tilted his head back and roared as Virgil escaped. The roar itself carried for several miles in the valley. Needless to say it shook the ground where he and Dante stood. "VIRGIL!!! I WANT MY REMATCH!!!"
Grandpa Longneck then looked up at hearing Longtail's scream and said "Well...we know he's alright."

Dante punched the ground angrily.
"Darn him! That no-good, traitorous, heartless, COWARD! Next time I see him, I swear..."
Dante said, gritting his teeth...

Mr. Thicknose nods, "He can shout about as loud as Cera or her dad." He said.
Mim continued looking at Alastor. "Sounds like your time is about up." She said.
"Yea, you're in for it now." Cera said smiling in her usual way when she is looking at someone who's in trouble when she's not.

Grandpa longneck nodded his head and said "He certainly can. I do wonder who this Virgil is though?"
-
"I would guess this Virgil is not a very pleasant individual." Mr. Thicknose said as he walked along with Grandpa Longneck, and any other adults in the group. "If the Shouting is any indication.

"I would agree that this Virgil isn't very welcome amongst the group of new comers. However I still think we should go check on the others just in case." said Grandpa Longneck with a nod.

Mr. Thicknose nods, "That is a wise choice of action." He said. "Shall we be off?" He asked Grandpa Longneck.

Grandpa Longneck nodded to Mr. Thicknose and began to walk in Longtail's general direction, but he suddenly stopped and looked down at the ground in front of him as he noticed Longtail walked out of the nearby trees with a angered and hateful look on his face.
Grandpa Longneck made the wise move and stepped aside giving Longtail enough room to walk.

Dante followed close behind his friend, staring at the ground and biting a twig he had grabbed...

Grandpa figured that Dante' would be in slightly better spirits than Longtail so he gently asked "Are you two alright? We heard Longtail scream at someone, but we were coming to see if you needed any help."

Dante looked up, trying his best to smile as he replied...
"We're not too badly hurt, if that's what you mean. It was...well, it was my older brother. He attacked us, then ran off. That's what happened...."
He said, his voice trailing glumly off...

Grandpa Longneck nodded and sighed as he replied "Well, at least you are both safe...that is what's important. Unfortunately we have a very serious issue now...with your brother and these sharpteeth hiding in our valley you young ones will have to stay close to all of us. I'm sorry but this is the only way to ensure everyones safety."
Longtail quickly scoffed and said "Oh please as long as Virgil is around...I'm going to keep looking day and night...wether the elders like it or not."

"We need to see to the other young ones safety, and I'm sure you may get your wish to battle this... Virgil in the near future if he and his fastbiter cronies remain in the Great Valley." Mr. Thicknose spoke, attempting to speak as calmly as he could.

Kaga said, "I'm alright. I just need to rest for a bit."
He was eager to see if Strafe was alright now that things had quieted down.
He found her and although she looked alright, he asked anyway, "Are you alright?"

Strafe nodded and replied, "I'm fine. Is everyone else alright?"
Snork had a few cuts and bruises but was otherwise fine.
Snork said in a tired manner, "Sooner or later, that threehorn is ging to find out about Dante and he doesn't seem like the type to listen to reason."
Strafe asked Littlefoot's grandfather, "What are we going to do now?"

Dante nodded.
"That was the one thing I didn't want to happen. Looks like now, though, there's no way around it, is there?"

Hunter who was nearby would've respnoded, but she was far too busy ripping the bark off of a tree in a blind show of pure rage to care.
Longtail was now sitting on the ground licking his wounds from his fight with Virgil and clawing at the ground.
Grandpa Longneck sighed and said "I'm afraid not Dante."
He then looked over to face Strafe while saying, "Now we need to come up with an idea so as to keep everyone here safe. Or at least free of battle wounds in our case." The elderly longneck then turned to Snork and replied "You let me worry about that when the time comes. I'll make him see that Dante isn't a threat."

Dante bowed his head.
"Thank you. I know you'll do what you can..."
He said, tears starting to form in his eyes...

Grandpa Longneck looked down and asked "What is wrong Dante? Are you alright?"
Longtail looked up and a frown appeared as he said "Dante...it'll be okay...we'll beat Virgil. I can guarantee it!"

"Yea, Dante's no thread, he's a nice person." Cera said. "And he was fighting those mean sharpteeth as these others here were." Cera said.
"Yes, they certainly were. Hopefully we can convince those other not very nice fastbiters to leave the Great Valley." Mim said.
"I do certainly hope so, though based on past experience it, sadly, may mean more fighting will have to be done to drive them out." Mr. Thicknose said.
"Unfortunate, but unavoidable with some folks." Mim said.
"To true." Mr. THicknose said a bit sadly.

Strafe yawned and suggested, "For now, let's just go home and get some rest."
Snork suggested, "Just to be safe, perhaps we should find some place hidden. We wouldn't want those creeps finding us while we're asleep."
Strafe replied, "I think you're right. Anyone know of any place we can stay?"

Dante shook the tears from his eyes, smiling at his friends.
"Yeah...We can stop Virgil...I know it..."
Then he looked up at Grandpa Longneck, asking...
"I know that I've been a real inconvenience so far, but Snork's right. We need someplace that Virgil won't be able to find us. Can you help?"

Grandpa Longneck thought for a moment...and finally had an idea as he said "Everyone can stay under, or inside the Tree of Life."
Longtail looked confused as he asked "What's the...Tree of Life?"
The elderly longneck chuckled as he said "It in a basic meaning is the very center of the entire Great valley...it is very spacious and quiet....so if Virgil, or anyone else tries to sneak up on you...chances are..they won't be able to." He looked over to Mr. Thicknose and asked "Do you agree with where they should sleep?"

Mr. Thicknose Nods, "That does sound like a good idea and with the conditions of the area around there their excellent hearing should enable them to hear any approaching quite well." He said.
"I think I've seen that, but I've never gone close." Cera said.
"Sounds like it could work." Mim said not sure but she knew she didn't know the Great Valley to well yet so thought those who knew it better would have a far better idea then she would for the best place for them to sleep.

Dante nodded.
"If you guys think it's best, I'm not gonna complain. I'll go for it."
He said, grateful for their kindness...

Longtail smiled as well and said "Yeah...me too. Thank you for helping us like this."
Grandpa Longneck smiled and said "It is no trouble at all. Anyone who is friendly to our valley will find help and shelter here when they need it."

Kaga agreed with the others and said tiredly, "Let's go. I need to get some sleep."
It had been a long day, though he had come out alright in the end. He was glad to see that Strafe was alright as well. fter a while, he could see a large mass of trees ahead and asked Grandpa Longneck, "So, is that it then?"
It looked like it would be suitable. The foliage would keep any rain off of them as well as provide protection from Virgil and his ilk.

Grandpa Longneck smiled and replied "Yes. Welcome to the center of the valley, and the Tree of Life. It is said that this tree was where the Great valley began to grow. But I can see you're all tired. Once you all get settled I'll take my leave."
Longtail smiled and said "It smells so fresh...and clean...like right after sky water falls."

"Very pleasant indeed." Mim said as she inhaled the air and looked around. "Very nice indeed." She said.
"It's ok, I guess." Cera said looking around, liking the place, but not letting on any.
"It can be pleasant to come here and just relax from time to time, or just be a short distance away and look at the area." Mr. Thicknose said.

Longtail walked up to the tree and placed a claw on it and gasped as he said "The tree it feels warm...tihs is good." Longtail then sat down against the tree and smiled as he sighed in relef and said "You guys have got to try this!"
Hunter shrugged and walked over as well. She however didn't have to touch the tree to feel it's warmth. She giggled as she replied "Oh wow...you weren't joking Longtail...this is wonderful." She then sat next to the young flyer and leaned as close as she could to the tree and lid her head down on the ground and almost immediately fell asleep.

Dante joined his friends, leaning up against the tree, then letting his head rest on Hunter.
"No fooling. This tree feels..."
He never finished his thought, as he had just drifted off into sleep...

Grandpa Longneck had to give a small laugh as he saw the trio falling asleep one after the other leaning against the Tree of Life. He smiled as he watched the others start to walk over as well.

Smork walked over and placed his hand on the bark. Indeed, it had a warm, soothing feel to it.
"Thanks for showing us this place." Snork said to Grandpa Longneck.
He walked inside and lied down, ready for some sleep.
Strafe walked in as well and sat down next to Kaga. This place seemed so peaceful and quiet. It was almost magic. Despite the calming atmosphere, Strafe wasn't tired yet. The sun was just setting over the mountains and Strafe usually stayed up later. She hoped that she could talk to Kaga or something.
Littlefoot yawned tiredly and said, "Well, I guess I'll see ya later."
"Take care of yourself, Littlefoot!" Strafe called after him.
Littlefoot said to his grandfather, "Let's go home."

Mim looked at the sleepers and some of the other newcomers, "I do hope they can get the rest they need." She said.
"I just hope we don't have any nonsense like we just did. Let those mean sharpteeth stay out of the valley." Cera said, annoyed at the mean sharpteeth having attacked.

Grandpa Longneck nodded to Littlefoots request and said "Good night all. I hope you get the rest you need." He then turned and looked at his grandson and said "Yes. let's head back to our nest so you too can get your sleep."
Longtail in a half awakened state mumbled "G'night...everyone." And promptly fell back to sleep.

Dante cracked an eye open, nodding at Littlefoot.
"Laters."
He yawned, then fell back asleep...

"Maybe we should go and get rest ourselves." Mim said.
"Yea, and before my dad starts to yell or bellow." Cera said, not liking it when her dad yelled or bellowed, a thing he seemed to do even if he had no reason to do so.

Kaga was tired but wasn't ready to fall asleep yet. He noticed Strafe looking at the sunset and asked, "Is something wrong?"
He sensed that something was bothering her.

Strafe replied saddly, "I thought we could finally be happy here, safe and sound. How did Virgil find us?"
After everything they had been through together to reach this save haven, even the Great Valley was not safe anymore.
"We're not going to be truely safe until we get rid of Virgil and his gang." the iguanodon continued.

Dante, one eye cracked open, looked over at Strafe and Kaga.
"Guys...I'm sorry. If I hadn't come here, then you could have been happy, without worrying about people like my brother..."

Longtail was busy dreaming...but it was quickly turning into a nightmare.
He was running...but from what he couldn't see. He took several steps and stopped. He turned to see what it was and all that could be seen were two red eyes staring back at him, and Longtail's first reaction was to run, but he stood his ground.
He couldn't hear anything, but that worked just as well...but the eyes looked familiar...the figure started to show itself and it was...Dante...and Virgil...Now Longtail was feeling scared as his best friend pinned him to the floor and his brother moved in to finish the job.
Before Virgil did however Dante just grinned and then laughed as a voice Longtail couldn't place said "Never trust a sharptooth...they only befriend you to stab you."
Longtail then woke up with a scream and looked around in fear.

Dante started from the noise, ending up on his back. Sitting up, he looked at Longtail, concern apparent in his eyes.
"What's wrong? You look like you've just seen the demon or something."
He said, worry tinting his voice...

Longtail was breathing heavily and turned as he heard Dante's voice...he immediately locked onto his friends eyes, and Longtail could see that they were filled with concern, but that sleep story really shook his nerves.
Longtail quickly stood and said in a flurry of words.
"I just need a drink..I-I'll be right back." He then turned around and walked away trying hard not to run.

Dante looked after the retreating Longtail, then looked around and said...
"Something's not right here. I'm gonna go talk to him."
He said, standing up and following his friend...

Longtail walked at a brisk pace until he reached a small pond. Almost without hesitation he dunked his head into the cold water and sat there for a moment looking at the bottom of the pond thinking.
'Why....why did I have that sleep story, and why was Dante working with his brother...and more importantly what was that voice I heard speaking to me...'

Dante walked up to where Longtail was, then he asked...
"Are you...okay? You seem really upset by that sleep-story you had..."
He trailed off, hesitantly...

Upon hearing Dante's voice directly behind him, Longtail drew his head out of the water so fast that he flipped himself over and onto his back.
He then said...
"Dante...uhh...yeah...I'm okay, I think." He then asked "I know you trust me Dante, but...would you...betray me....and work with...Virgil if he....well..gave you an offer you couldn't refuse?"
Longtail felt bad about asking, but since Dante brought up the sleep story, Longtail figured he may as well get some answers.

Dante shook his head.
"The only offer he could make that I wouldn't refuse would be my life for the rest of yours. There isn't a chance that I would ever betray you guys. You're my family, and those who betray their families are the lowest of the low."
He said, eyes full of resolve...

Longtail smiled and said to Dante...
"That's good to know...but I'm still just a little shaken. I just need some time to myself...I promise I'll be okay."
Longtail then rolled onto his stomach and jumped into the air and flew off towards the Thundering falls.
'I'm sorry Dante...I trust you...but something just isnt right.' thought Longtail to himself.

Strafe ran up to Dante and Longtail and asked, "Is everything alright?"
She then spoke to Dante, "It's alright. We don't blame you for Virgil."
She then said to Longtail, "Don't be afraid of Virgil. That's what he wants. He's just a bully and nothing more. You saw how he ran away when someone bigger than him came along. Now come on, let's get back and get some sleep."
She was worried about Longtail and his habit to get himself into trouble. She worried that he may do something foolish.

Dante nodded.
"I know that you don't, but...I still can't help but worry..."
He shook his head worriedly...

Longtail was just close enough to hear Strafe call out to him and Dante. After hearing what she had to say Longtail sighed and landed next to his friends.
Longtail then said "Okay, I'll head back with you, but I don't think I'll be getting much sleep anytime tonight."

Dante nodded.
"I probably won't either. I'm still worried. What if Virgil knows where we are? I'll stay up to keep an eye out for him."
He said, nerves causing his voice to shake...

Kaga awoke the next morning and looked around. Everything seemed to be alright so kaga got up and ventured outside to find breakfast. A few treestars on a low branch nearby looked quite appealing and so kaga began his breakfast, waiting for the others to wake up.

As predicted Longtail after returning, got no sleep. He stood on a branch near the top of the tree watching the bright circle rise. He was holding a treestar in his claw but didn't bother to try and eat it. He just sat there and held it...as if waiting for something.
He then looked down and noticed Kaga looking around, so longtail smiled and said "Good morning Kaga...how are you?"

"Oh not much." Kaga replied, noticing that Longtail looked tired.
"Didn't you get any sleep?" asked the iguanodon. "You look exhausted."

After hearing Kaga's question Longtail sat down...suddenly too tired to keep standing.
But he smiled anyway as he replied "No...not really. Bad sleep story kept me up...but I've gone many bright circles without sleep...I'll be fine."
Longtail then looked down at his claw and asked "Want my treestar?"

Dante looked at Kaga from where he was perched in the tree, giving him a small smile. It was rather apparent that he hadn't slept at all from the look on his face, but he still seemed to be cheerful as he said...
"Ah. Good morning, Kaga! Good to see ya! And the same to you, Longtail!"
He grinned, then fell soundly out of the tree, landing on his rump...

Longtail gave a small smile, and started to laugh when he watched Dante land on his rear. But he quickly stopped as he realized that his mind was still too clouded to let his laughter flow. Longtail sighed and walked over asking Dante:
"Hey, you alright?"

Mim awoke and stretched for a bit before fully getting up. She got up and went off to get some breakfast before deciding what to do next.
Littlefoot was awoken by his grandparents. He reluctantly got up, wanting to stay in his nest a little longer, and followed them off to where they could have breakfast together.

Dante gave a sheepish grin, then looked up at Longtail.
"I'm fine, but...what about you? You seem like something's eatin' away at you. What's wrong?"
He asked, worried about his friend...

Longtail shook his head and replied "Well that silly sleep story is still bothering me. I just can't get it out lo my head." He then stood up and said "I think I need to talk to someone about this...and I think I thought of just the same person as to who I was thinking about." Longtail then blinked and sighed.
He then stated "I'm so tired that I can't even think right." He turned to Dante and Kaga and said "I'll be back in a while..." He then spread his wings and took to the sky in the search for who he felt could help him.

Strafe woke up and headed outside for breakfast, leaving Snork asleep on the ground inside. She joined Kaga outside and and said cheerfully, "Good morning, Dante. Good morning, Kaga." before begining her breakfast.

Cera awoke, glad she had before he had had. She started eating some from a nearby bush while she thought about where she'd like to go to to eat most of her breakfast.
Mim went to a tree and climbed it. Once she was in the tree she climbed to a good thick branch and sat down to eat a few of it's leaves and a tree sweet.
Littlefoot ate with his grandparents. Looking up at them he said. "I like the new comers to the valley. They seem to be a nice group."

Dante looked over at Strafe, giving her a small smile.
"Well, good morning , Strafe! How'd ya sleep?"
He asked, stifling a yawn with his claw...

Grandpa Longneck smiled and replied "Yes Littlefoot the newcomers do seem like a friendly bunch, I am even glad to see that they can defend themselves from sharpteeth, and if I recall correctly they have a sharptooth among them...which can only be a good thing." Grandpa Longneck picked several more treestars out of the tree, before noticing something.
"Isn't that one of the newcomers now?"
Longtail had finally found who he was searching for, and he landed in the tree next to him. "Good morning everyone." he said to Littlefoot and Grandpa Longneck.
"Good Morning young one, are you alright, you seem tired." Stated Grandpa Longneck to Longtail.
Longtail shook his head and replied "No...actually, I wanted to talk to you about something Grandpa Longneck...if that's okay?"
The elderly longneck nodded and said, "Of course" he then turned to Littlefoot while commenting "I'll be right back okay."

Littlefoot nods, "It's ok, grandma and I can go over there." Littlefoot said indicating wit his head a spot a short distance away out of earshot and walked over closer to the water to where there were some bushes growing not far from the water was and started to eat there.

Grandpa Longneck then sat down and asked Longtail "Now what is troubling you...umm...Longtail isn't it?"
The young flyer smiled and said "Yes. I had this sleep story last night, that one of my friends in our group would give me over to Virgil. I-I trust my friends but, well my last few sleep stories have come true and I'm scared...what should I do?"
The elderly Longneck sighed, and waited a moment before responding "Well Longtail, after the other day when you fought off Virgil I know that even if your sleep story becomes true your friends will be by your side, and we here in the valley will do everything we can to help you should you need it." Grandpa Longneck then smiled and said, "Besides Littlefoot and his friends seem to get into trouble quite a bit here in the valley and they always look out for each other. So try not to worry too much."
Longtail smiled back and nodded his head as he commented "Thank you so much Grandpa Longneck I feel much better now." He then giggled as he asked "may I eat with you and Littlefoot?"
Grandpa Longneck nodded his head as he walked towards his grandson with Longtail flying behind him.

Strafe said sympathetically, "Don't worry, Longtail. We won't let anything happen to you. Now maybe we can have some fun today if we stay close to the herds. I doubt Virgil will try to attack us if there are other adults around."
She looked at Littlefoot and asked, "So, any suggestions for a game?"

Littlefoot thought for a moment and thought back to the many different sorts of games his friends and he liked to play, when they weren't exploring new areas of the Great Valley they had not been to before, or caves they had not been to, or having some sort of adventure.
"There is swimmer & splasher, the pointy seed game, the one where we roll a rock at a group of stacked pointy tree seeds, hide and seek, & it." He said suggesting some games, leaving out the pretend sharptooth game since the recent fastbiter attack he thought it best not to mention that game.

Kaga said, "It doesn't matter to me. I'll let the rest of you pick something."

Dante grinned at Littlefoot, then agreed.
"Yeah. Whatever is cool with you guys, I'm game for. I just want to do something. Just to take my mind off of yesterday..."

Longtail smiled and said, "I think I'd like to try swimmer&splasher. It sounds like the most fun!"

"We can do that at the usual watering hole that we play that at." Littlefoot said looking at the others. "That is if everyone else, or most, want to play the game."

Cera finished eating and decided to go looking around to see if she could find any of her friends and see what they were going.

Dante grinned happily.
"Well then, let's go find everyone! I'm ready to just kick back and have some real fun!"
He laughed, jumping in place eagerly...

Strafe nodded and said, "I think I like the splashing game."
Snork emerged rfom the trees and yawned tiredly.
"What did I miss?" the swimmer asked.
Strafe said, "We are going to play a game. Care to join us?"
Snork nodded.
"Sure."

Littlefoot nods, "Sure, I think you'll like it." He said.
Cera started going around to some of the usual places that her friends usually were at.

Dante nodded.
"Alright. I'll take your word for it, Littlefoot. Let's go meet up with everyone else!"
He said, bouncing in place...

"Yes lets." Littlefoot said nodding. "But where is everyone do you think?" He asked looking around at those present.

Dante shook his head.
"Who knows? I'd guess they're either looking for us, or they're still with their parents. What does everyone else think?"
He asked, smiling...

Longtail smiled and said, "I could do a quick fly around and see if I can find them, and then we can all meet up at the watering hole you mentioned Littlefoot."

"That sounds like a good idea." Littlefoot said nodding to Longtail's idea.

Dante nodded.
"Yeah. Just try not to go too far, okay? Be careful."
He said, worried about the potential of having Virgil still around...

Longtail just smiled and said with a laugh "You worry too much Dante, I'll be fine. Virgil won't be getting me this time...I'm staying in the air this time!"

"Easier to spot things from the air, but I guess it is easier to be spotted also." Littlefoot said, thinking how easy it was to see the various flyers in the air when they were flying around.
Cera walked near Littlefoot's sleeping area and seeing he wasn't there headed over to Ducky and Spike's.

"If our little friend Virgil shows up again, I've got a little somethign for him." Kaga said confidently as he walked with the others.
As if crossing the vast wilderness to reach this valley wasn't enough, now they had to deal with punks like Virgil. It made Kaga angry the more he thougt about it.

Longtail nodded to Kaga's statement and turned his head as he flew off in search of the others.
After several minutes of flying, he finally spotted Cera walking around. He flew closer to the ground and called out "Hey Cera! I've been sent by the others to find you...we're going to play swimmer/splasher wanna join?" And then he added "Have you seen Ducky, Petrie or Spike?"

Cera stops to look at Longtail, "They may be at their sleeping areas, lets go and look. We can't leave them out of such a great game." Cera said.

Longtail smiled and replied by saying "That's a great idea Cera! Lets' go!" he then landed and began walking towards where Duckys' nest was. Longtail then said aloud "I just hope she's home."

Strafe nodded in agreement with Longtail and added, "I don't believe we got to meet her when we visited. Her parents seemed nice though."
Snork said, "Yeah. Let's go."
Meanwhile, Darin walked amidst the trees, looking for something to eat. The old swimmer had been reluctant to find his son thus far. He did not know what he would say when he came face to face with Snork. Words alone could not make up for what he had done. Snork was not the only one he owed an appology to either. Darin decided to wait until later. Surely he was the last person Snork wanted to see.

Dante looked over at the trees near himself, hearing a sound.
"Who's there?"
He asked, squinting to try and see the source of the noise...

(OCC: Darin is nowhere near where they are. It must be something else.)

Kaga looked around and then said, "Maybe it is one of the others. I hope it isn't Virgil the Coward. Taking on his minions was the biggest waste ever."

(ooc: I was wondering who, if anyone, wanted to play Ducky.)
"We could go over and see together." Littlefoot suggested, looking in the direction himself.

Longtail stepped through several bushes and smiled as he noticed a large pool of water with several swimmers inside playing. Unfortunately because he'd never seen Ducky before he couldn't tell her apart from the rest of the swimmers playing in the water. He then turned to Cera and asked, "Uhh..do you mind...I don't know what Ducky looks like."

Cera walks over to stand beside Longtail. She looked at the young swimmers.
"That is her over there." She said indicating with her front right foot the spoke up louder. "Hey Ducky over here." Cera said.

Having spent the majority of her life traveling and very little time playing, Strafe had never played the "splasher swimmer" game.
She asked the others, "So how is this game played anyway? I've never even heard of it."
Snork shook his head and added, "You're asking the wrong guy. I haven't played many games at all. I assume you guys know how to play it since you suggested it."

Dante nodded.
"Never played before either. I guess we'll all get to learn something new today, huh?"
He said, smiling happily...

Ducky turned her head as she heard Cera calling. She said bye to her sisters and brother sand ran to say hello. She stopped however when she saw the group standing with Cera and said in a trembling voice, "C-cera...there are sharpteeth behind you, there are!"
Longtail tried his hardest not to laugh, as he took a step back and whispered to Dante, "I think you'd better step back as well...she seems scared...although I'm surprised she hasnt' heard about our arrival...especially since we've met her mother."

"They seem ok. They helped us fight some mean sharpteeth." Cera said. Being Cera she would not see they were doing more of the fighting likely then she was.

Littlefoot looked around at the others, "We play it in water. One is the swimmer and the others are the splashers. The splashers try to not get touched." Littlefoot said. "Or we can just splash in the water and have fun."
(OOC: I think this is how it's played, I"m not sure since I only recall seeing a brief bit of the game and may have forgotten if it was shown in more detail.)

Longtail smiled as Cera quickly defended them, and said, "Yeah, why just yesterday, we fought off a whole group of sharpteeth, and they had us outnumbered too."
Duckys eyes went wide at that statement and she muttered, "Cera is that true, is it, is it?"

Cera nodded, "Oh yea, we were all fighting off the mean sharpteeth earlier, these here were helping us. ThenMr. Thicknose and Littlefoot's Grandfather showed up and they left. Probably because we were fighting so well and they didn't want to face some grownups too." Cera said her pride in her voice and stance of how the fight had gone and how everyone fought well in it.

"Wow! How exciting it must have been." said Ducky with an air of wonder. She then looked to Longtail and the others behind him and replied, "Well if Cera can trust you then so can I yep, yep!" She then turned to face Cera and asked, "So are you all here to play a game?"

Cera nods, "We were thinking of maybe playing either swimmer and splasher or perhaps just splashing around since the new folks may not know the same games that we do." Cera said. She looked at the others and Longtail, "What do you guys think?" She asked.

Strafe said, "Sounds like fun. Count me in, guys!"
The thought of a relaxing day with her friends sounded very appealing, especially after the previous day's encounter.
Snork said in aggreement, "Ahh, I think i'm gonna enjoy this. I never got to play games as a kid."

Dante nodded.
"After yesterday, just relaxing sound great!"
He said, a wide smile on his face...

Kaga shook his head and said, "I'm just gonna sit this one out, guys. I'm tired. I'll just watch."

Ducky giggled and replied, "I think Swimmer and Splasher would be a great game to play!"
Longtail nodded in agreement as asked, "So, where is the watering hole you usually play in?"

Littlefoot looks at the others around, "Seems about half want to play and half just want to relax. Maybe we can relax in the water, or do some splashing in the water, so that way everyone gets what they want." He said, "What do you guys think?" He said.

Longtail nodded his head.
"I think Littlefoot has the right idea. We could split the watering hole in half and those who want to relax can while the rest play swimmer splasher!"
Ducky jumped in a circle as she exclaimed, "Oh well then what are we waiting for....we should go yep, yep, yep!"

"That could work." Littlefoot said nodding, "And folks could go from one to the other if they felt in the mood to play for a while, or got tired and want to rest a while." He said.
Cera motioned with her head, "Let's go where the others are." She said.

Longtail smiled and said, "Then what are we waiting for? Let's go have some relaxing fun!" He then looked over to Ducky and asked:
"You're coming too right?"
Ducky's response was an enthusiastic "Yep, yep, yep!"

Dante smiled.
"Yeah, Yeah. Hold onto your head, pal. You coming, Hunter?"
He asked, turning towards his beloved...

"It's up to you guys, you don't have to if you don't want to." Littlefoot said.

Snork followed the others to the water and said, "Alright, I'm just gonna relax in the deep end. Ya'll go have your fun."
He waded into the deep water and rested his head on a rock.
Strafe leaped into the water, creating a big splash and sending water everywhere. She swam over to Snork and splashed him in the face, then swam away giggling.
"Hey!" shouted the swimmer as he wiped the water out of his face.

Longtail smiled at Starfe's playful manner and followed suit by jumping into the water with a splash and a laugh as he surfaced. He then looked over to the others and asked, "So, whats keeping ya? The water feels great!"

Littlefoot heads over to the water and jumps in with a splash. "Yea, everybody come on in." He said laughing.

Kaga rested on the riverbank and watched as everyone played in the water. He didn't feel like getting wet so he just stayed out of the way.

Hunter who had followed along silently for quite some time simply sat down in the shade of a nearby tree and watched the others have their fun. She smiled at Dante who was also in the water splashing and playing around.

Cera walked over towards the water where the others already were and headed over towards the area where Littlefoot already was.

Snork rolled into the water and began splashing with the others. It felt good to just relax and have fun. He had spent his whole childhood being bullied by his father and had never experienced what it was like to just relax and have fun before.
"I feel so peaceful right now." said the swimmer as he lied on his back in the cool water. He relaxed as the sun's rays warmed his belly.
Strafe looked at the others and said, "So who wants to splasher swimmer now?"

Kaga watched for a bit then waded into the water.
"I'll play now. I've been laying around long enough." said the iguanodon with a smile.

"I would like to." Littlefoot said a bit excited. "We can play for a bit then when some start to get tired we can all rest." He said.
"Yea, sounds like a good idea." Cera said nodding. "Hanging around me is starting to rub off on yah." She said to Littlefoot who just smiled a bit, knowing it was best to say nothing in such a situation.

"So you finally decided to join us?" Strafe said cheerfully and lunged at Kaga, knocking him off his feet. She made sure that he was completely soaked before letting him back up.
"Ready to play?" she asked Kaga, nuzzling him playfully.

Kaga laughed and splashed Strafe with water. Then he rolled her over and began to wrestle, laughing as the two of them played in the water. This valley truely was paradise.

Littlefoot laughed a bit good naturally seeing Kaga & Strafe, "Looks like they've already gotten started playing." He said.

Dante kicked back, a happy sigh escaping his lips.
"Wow. It doesn't even feel odd to be here anymore. It's amazing..."
He said, smiling broadly...

Longtail was underwater at that moment but suddenly had an idea as he noticed Kaga and Strafe wrestling in the shallow end. He quickly swam over and using his tail sent a small wave of water at the two of them, and laughed as he surfaced a few feet away.

"Who wants to do what sort of water fun?" Cera asked looking at the others.

Strafe laughed splashed water back at Kaga. She was happier now than she had ever in her life. However, after a couple of hours, Strafe decided that she had had enough.
"I think I'm gonna go home, guys." she said to the others.
As Strafe passed Kaga, she whispered to him, "Are we still going out tonight?"

Kaga nodded and whispered back, "Yeah. Meet me outside tonight at sundown."
"Anyone else had enough in the water? I'd kinda like to finish our game from earlier." Kaga said to the others.

Longtail was at this point floating on his back in the water sound asleep snoring softly.
Hunter for her part was still sitting next to the pool of water hoping Dante would get bored and join her.

Littlefoot and Cera settled into the water to soak and enjoy the water that way since it seemed that is what the others were doing at the moment.

Snork reclined on his back in the water and said, "I love this place. It's so peaceful here."
It was the best time he had ever had in his entire life.

Littlefoot nods, "It sure is, better then the mysterious beyond." He said.

Hunter smiled at Littlefoots words and said in reply, "You are right Littlefoot...although anywhere with blue skies, and friends like this is better than the Mysterious Beyond.

Near sundown, Kaga said to the others, "Guys, I've got to go now. I'll see ya'll later."
He headed off toward the tree shelter to meet Strafe. He was excited and a bit nervous. This was going to be his first actual date and he hoped that everything went well. As Kaga approashed, he saw Strafe waiting and he ran to greet her.
"Ready to go?" he asked her.

Dante hopped out of the water, walking up next to Hunter.
"You're right. And y'know what? I think...this place would be ideal for raising a family, don't you, Hunter?"
He asked, lightly twining his tail with hers...

Hunter blushed at the mention of family and she nuzzled Dante as she replied.
"Of course. A family....would be wonderful to raise here." Hunter then giggled as she added at a whisper "Now if only I could find a mate strong enough to handle new born hatchlings."

Strafe saw Kaga approaching and ran to him excitedly.
"Of course I'm ready to go! Come on! Let's find something to eat."
She had been lookin forward to this date since arriving in the valley and now it was finally happening. Now it was She led Kaga to a quiet spot by the pond where there was lots of tree sweets.
"This looks like a good spot for dinner." Strafe said, gazing out across the pond and the moonlight reflecting off the surface. It was a clear night and the sky was filled with brilliant stars. The temperature was pleasantly warm and there was a light breeze.

Kaga smiled and said, "It's pretty here isn't it?"
He looked out across the lake and said, "Maybe we could have our nest somewhere along the river. That way we would be close to everyone else."
He took a bite of fruit and used his snout to roll a few pieces over to Strafe.

Dante smiled at Hunter, kissing her lovingly.
"well, I think I just might be strong enough to manage a group of hatchlings..."
He whispered back to her...

Hunter gave a coy smile as she whispered back to Dante "Oh really, then why my dear mate does Longtail always give you such a challenge? Hmmm?"
Longtail continued to sleep in the shallow end of the pond.

"Yea." Littlefoot said agreeing with Hunter.
"Why live anywhere else if you can live here." Cera said.

Strafe smiled and took a bite of fruit.
"That's sounds good."
She grabbed branch of treestars down from a tree and said, "Here, Kaga."
Strafe broke it off and placed it on the ground between the two of them.

"How nice." said Kaga as he began to eat his share of the treestars.
He ate his fill and spent a while talking with Strafe. He really liked her and he knew that she was the dinosaur he wanted to spend the rest of his life with.

Strafe took a bite of treestars and looked at Kaga again. She wanted to say it but was having difficulty finding the words. Her shyness, which seemed to have disappeared on the way to the valley, was returning to her. Finally..
"Kaga," she said quietly. "I... I love you."
She placed her front right foot on Kaga's front foot and nuzzled his neck.

Kaga nuzzled Strafe's shoulder and whispered back, "I love you too, Strafe."
Her scales felt smooth to his cheek. Kaga thought she was so beautiful, even with the scar from Shriek's bite on her shoulder. Kaga nuzzled Strafe again and said, "I couldn't ask for a better partner. I want to spend the rest of my life with you."

Hunter smiled.
"Yeah you two are right. This valley is a wonderful place to live." She then looked to Dante as she stood up and winked at him as she said, "I'm going to find us a place to...sleep." She winked at Dante again and started to walk away.
Longtail's nose began to sniff the air, and he lifted his head to see what he was smelling, but he didn't see anything so he went immediately back to sleep.

Strafe smiled to Kaga and licked him playfully on the cheek. A strange feeling came over her. She knew it was time now.
It seemed like hours had passed even though it had only been a few minutes. Strafe lay on the ground next to Kaga, breathing heavily. Her whole body trembled.
"Should we get back to the others now?" she panted tiredly.

Kaga stood up next to Strafe and shook his head, panting, "No. This is our special night. Let's enjoy it together."
He began to walk toward the open meadow and turned his head.
"Coming?" he called happily as he bounded away across the meadow.

Strafe ran after Kaga and the two played in the moonlit meadow together. Strafe leaned her head on Kaga's shoulder as the walked along. She loved him so much.
"Now let's find a place where we'll build the nest when the time comes." she said to her new mate.

Snork sat alone outside the tree hideout, looking up at the stars. Mim and Longtain were somewhere around but he wasn't sure where. He, Longtail, and Mim seemed to be the only ones with no current plans to start a family. He already knew what Strafe and Kaga were up to and he figured that Dante and Hunter were out for the same reason. Snork sighed and looked at the shadow of the mountains that towered into the starry sky. He wondered if his friends would still have time for fun when they were taking care of children also. Still, he figured that Strafe would make a good mother.

Darin wandered through the dark forest at the far end of the valley. The rumbling of the waterfall could be heard nearby. However, Darin did not care about that. He was unsure of his next move. Surely Snork would want nothing to do with him. Snork was happy here from what Darin had heard and it didn't seem right to show himself and ruin hi son's happiness. Snork deserved it after what he had to endure for so many years. Darin sighed and said to himself, "What am I doing here? He won't want to see me."
He paced back and forth in a forest clearing and said aloud, "I'm wasting my time! I'm such a fool for coming here!"

"And why is that?" came a female voice from in the air.
A longneck emerged from the forest into the clearing and looked down at Darin. She was green in color and had blue eyes.
When Darin looked up at her, she asked, "Not to intrude, but I'm just curious as to why it was foolish to come here."

Kaga stood atop a small knoll with Strafe at his side. The two of them gazed out across the valley and Kaga remarked, "It's so beautiful here, especially since I have the prettiest girl in the whole valley right here with me. I think I see a good spot where we can live right by those rocks."
The iguanodon motioned with his head toward some rock formations and added, "Let's go take a look."

Longtail caught the scent again and as he opened his eyes he could see it had gotten really late, but the smell was irritating, so he figured the others wouldn't miss him, so he rose out of the water and shook himself dry and followed his nose into the forest, and after several minutes of slow moving he finally found the source of the scent, but he noticed one thing right away:
"It looks like...Snork...but older and there's someone else too. I'm checking this out."
He then took several steps out of the bushes and cleared his throat when he was close enough to Darin and the longneck as he asked, "Excuse me...who are you two?"

Dante smiled at Hunter as he followed her.
"Somehow, I doubt there'll be much sleeping going on tonight, my love..."
He teased...

Hunter giggled slightly as she neared a cave she thought would make an excellent nest. She stopped just before entering and looked to Dante and sighed as she licked him across his cheek with a blush on her face. "Then I suppose the less sleep we get, the happier we'll be right my love?"

Darin was a bit surprised by the the newcomer but he said to the longneck flatly, "Well, if you must know, I'm looking for my son. I feel that it is a waste of time because I'm the last dinosaur he would want to see. I think I should just leave because he would only get upset if he saw me. I never showed any love for him and I'm only here because someone I met suggested I come here and make up. Well, there is also someone else I need to apologize to, assuming that they made it here too."
He was about to leave when Longtail showed up.
Darin surveyed Longtail and said, "You must be one of the locals here. I'm Darin and I don't really plan on staying for long. There is just some business I need to take care of."

The longneck said to Darin, "Well that's a pity. You should be thankful to have a son."
When Longtail arrived, the longneck said, "My name is Shona. I'm new here. My mate died in the big earthshake and my children were taken from me by fastbiters. Who might you be?"

Kaga looked at the nesting site and saw a small stream among the rocks.
"This looks like a nice place indeed."
He took a drink and lied down in the grass. Strafe joined him and Kaga laid an arm over her shoulder and pulled himself closer to her.
"It's been a long day. I think we should sleep now."
With that, Kaga closed his eyes with his arm still wrapped around his mate.

Longtail frowned as he looked at the two newcomers. He then cleared his throat and said, "Hello Darin and Shona, my name is Longtail, and I'm sure you can guess why. I've only been here a few bright circles myself. But maybe if I knew who you were looking for Darin i could help you find them."

Darin said to Longtail, "His name is Snork. You don't know him do you?"

Strafe felt Kaga put his arm around her. She nuzzled Kaga and closed her eyes. It had been a very tiring day and there was nothing like curling up next to the one she loved.

Longtail felt his stomach grow cold. He shivered for a moment before he took a step backwards. He wasn't sure now if Darin was someone Snork would know, or if he was a threat...but he was never one to turn down someone who needed help so he sighed.
"Yes...I know him. I can take you to where he's sleeping if you'd like."
He then looked to Shona.
"Are you looking for a place to stay?"

Shona shook her head and replied, "No thanks. I'm fine. Thank you for the offer though."
"Good luck to you, Darin. I hope you make things right with your son." she said as she turned and departed.

Darin shook his head and said to Longtail, "I don't know... I haven't decided what to do. I need to think about it some more. I'm probably the last person he wants to see here."
Daerin sat down and said, "Snork is my son. I... I did something that I now regret. I just don't know if I can face him now."

Longtail was still feeling very unsure of this, but he turned to Shonoa as she departed and said, "Good bye...have a safe journey!" He then turned to Darin.
"I...don't know what you want to do, but...if you decide to visit him...I-I'll be glad to lead you to him, but I won't get involved in whatever happens." said Longtail with a grim facial expression.

Darin shook his head and said, "Thanks, but I'm not ready to see him yet. I..." he sighed and said, "I need to be alone for a bit."
This wasn't going to be easy. He did not know how he was going to face Snork after what he had done to him. From what Darin had heard, Snork was happy and he didn't want to ruin that.

Dante smiled.
"You know it, my mate. Shall we?"
He asked, a flirtatious smile on his face...

Longtail nodded his head in response and sat down.
"Just let me know...when you're ready." he said as he yawned and laid his head down to try and get some sleep.

Hunter smiled as caught the smile on Dante's face. She stepped ahead of him and wrapped her tail around his head coaxing him to follow her.

Hunter caught the look on Dante's face and she giggled in response.
"that's a good look for you Dante, you should wear it more often." she quipped as she stopped at the end of the cave and sat down.

Snork stood up and yawned tiredly. He was hungry again. The swimmer walked across the meadow toward a lone treestar tree. It was good to be able to do tis without having to worry about becoming a meal. The last time he ventured off alone, he nearly became lunch for a sharptooth and nearly cost Strafe her life. He grabbed a handful of treestars and pulled them down and began eating.

Longtail blinked as a familiar smell caught his attention. He stood up for a moment and looked around sniffing the air. He then looked to Darin.
"Hey....I think...Snork is nearby. Would you like to go see him now? I can take you....if you're ready."

Darin shook his head and said, "Later. I just can't do it now."
With that, he disappeared into the trees.
Shortly after he disappeared, Snork emerged from the forest and said, "Oh, hi Longtail. Are you looking for a midnight snack too?"

Longtail was shocked at how close both Darin and Snork had come to seeing each other. He stared at his friend for a moment longer.
"Uhh...hehe...n-no! I was actaully....waiting for someone." said Longtail with a frown as he realized he was lying. He then stood up and brushed himself off. "But it seems that they aren't going to show up...can you lead me back to our cave?" He asked Snork politely.

Dante stepped into the cave, looking at Hunter.
"Really now? I'll have to remember that you think it suits me..."
He chuckled...
Virgil limped towards the valley walls. In a moment of weakness, Ressentiment had turned on him, attacking him and leaving him for dead. Now, there was but one hope, and he had little belief that he would be given a chance. But he had to try.
"D-Dante..."
He whispered weakly...

Snork finished his snackand said to Longtail, Well, I'm gonna go back home now. See ya later."
He turned and walked back out into the field. In the moonlight, he saw a small figure in the distance. It appeared to be...
"Virgil..." Snork gasped in barely a whisper.
He instantly turned and ran back into the forest and was relieved to find that Longtail was still there.
"LT! It's Virgil! He's out in the field!" panted the swimmer. "It looks like he's alone."

When Snork said Virgil's name Longtail's heart nearly froze in his chest. He turned and asked, "What...A-are you serious. What...what should we do?" he asked at a whisper. Longtail wanted revenge for the humiliation he'd suffered, but he was also afraid of it being a trap and being the bait again to lure his friends out into the open.

Hunter giggled at Dante as she laid down at the back end of the cave with her tail swinging back and forth inviting Dante over.

Longtail sighed and stepped into a bush near where Virgil was standing. He looked through the plant and could see he was hurt. He was sitting as still as possible, and that would make it an excellent chance to strike and get his revenge. Longtail's body tensed for a moment before he was ready to pounce.

Snork silently made his way with Longtail as they crept up on Virgil. For some reason, this just didn't seem right though. Perhaps him not being a predator had something to do with it, but Snork suddenly felt that it was wrong to attack someone from behind like this. He kept a close watch for any sign of an ambush and prepared to grab Virgil as soon as Longtail was in position to attack.

After making sure Snork was behind him as well, Longtail took his chance and jumped form the bushes as quietly as possible so to be able to get the drop on Virgil, just as he was about to latch onto Virgils back Longtail said, "Hey! Payback is painful!" He then used his claws and began to scratch and rip at Virgils skin.

Darin wandered through the woods, completely unsure of his next move. He decided to wait until morning and then he could ask for advice. Perhaps that wise old longneck he had met earlier could give him some advice. In the meantime, he had to fin a place to sleep for the night.

Snork said to Longtail, "Wait, don't kill him! We should take him to Dante. Dante will know what to do with him."

"You seem puzzled." said Shona as she looked down at Darin.
"Is there anything I can do to help? I'm not trying to intrude but I can tell you need help. Tell me what is bothering you."

Longtail sighed as he heard Snorks plea and decided it would be wise for Dante to see his brother again. He stopped clawing and jumped off of Virgil and took several steps back, but kept his attack position just in case Virgil was trying something sneaky. "So, Virgil you've definitely seen better days, why are you here, and more importantly why do you look so beaten up?"

Kaga awoke and could see the early rays of dawn approaching. He had only slept for a few hours but he was no longer sleepy. Strafe lay asleep next to him and Kaga lovingly nuzzled her and said, "Come on, my love. Let's get back to the others."

Strafe awoke and slowly stood up next to Kaga. She nuzzled him and said, "Alright, let's go home."
She walked out ahead of him back toward their home.

Virgil groaned and was too tired and weak to speak but he did move his head to indicate he understood.
Longtail sighed and looked to Snork.
"So now what? He's too big for me to carry, but we can't just leave him here...can we?" he asked honestly.

Snork tied Virgil's hands and feet together with vines to prevent him from pulling any tricks.
He then picked Virgil up and carried him over his shoulder muttering, "He's pathetic. He actually thought he could beat us? Let's just get him to Dante."
As Snork walked along, he said to Virgil, not really caring if he could hear him or not, "You're lucky I'm not like my father, Virgil. He probably would have just stepped on your skull and left you to the worms."

Virgil groaned again as he felt himself being carried by someone...he couldn't tell who or what, but he was sure where ever he was being taken...it wasn't going to end well.
Longtail was walking alongside Snork when he felt he had to ask a question.
"Uhhh...even if we get him to Dante, what are we going to do about his wounds, they look pretty bad...worse than I thought...he might need some help!"

"Maybe I can do something for him." Snork said. "Not that I really want to, but even if he is a scumbag, it's not right to just let him die. Once we get him back to the others I'll see what I can do."

Strafe entered the grove of trees with Kaga by her side. She looked around and was surprised to see that Snork and Longtail were gone.
"Where do you think they went this late?" she asked as she lied down on the dirt floor.

Longtail smiled at Snorks decision.
"That sounds like a nice thing to do."

Hunter nuzzled Dante as she sat beside him, she was too happy to speak at this moment.
Dante on the other paw began to speak.
"I do wonder what are friends are up to? After all, I'm sure Longtail is wandering around the valley doing something that'll get him in trouble!"
Hunter couldn't help but laugh at that comment.

Kaga followed Strafe into the grove and looked around.
"Maybe they went out for a midnight snack or something. Looks like we have the place to ourselves until they get back."
He smiled to his mate and lied down next to her, resting his head on her shoulder.
"It's good to be with you, Strafe." he whispered.

Strafe icked the side of Kaga's face gently and whispered, "I don't think we're gonna get much sleep tonight. We can just rest tomorrow."
Just then, Snork entered with Virgil ovr his shoulder. As he set Virgil down on the ground, Strafe gasped in shock, "What is he doing here?"
Snork replied, "I don't know. It looks like he got into a fight or something."
Snork took some fern leaves and placed them over the wounds and used vines to tie them in place.
He explained, "These leaves will help stop the bleeding. My mom use to use these when I got a cut or something."
"I hope you know what you're doing, Snork." Strafe said nervously as she surveyed Virgil's limp form.

Longtail stepped in behind Snork and stood inbetween Virgil and the others.
He then turned his head as he replied, "Don't worry, he's too badly hurt, to actually do anything, and besides I'll be keep watch over him, so you three have nothing to worry about."
Virgil was at this moment still unconscious, however he did growl as he felt the leaves being tied to his body.

Dante was leaning in to lick Hunter on her nose, when he opened his eyes, and shivered.
Hunter noticed this and frowned.
"Dante, what's wrong?"
He took a moment before answering.
"I....I've just got a really bad feeling is all."
Hunter looked at Dante for a moment as she asked, "Should we go see the others to make sure they're alright?"
Dante didn't answer, and instead just stared out of the cave.

Virgil stirred, opening his eyes to see Snork and Longtail.
"Ugh... I'm still... Alive. It looks... Like I owe you both. Is... Is my brother here? I... Have something very important to tell him..."
He weakly whispered...

Snork answered, "I don't know where he is right now. I guess you're gonna have to wait till he gets back."

Kaga said, "So we're gonna wait for Dante to get back?"
He was still suspicious and did not trust Virgil one bit.

Longtail turned and said to Kaga "Yeah, that seems to be the only thing we can do."
He then turned to look outside the cave and whispered "I just hope he gets here soon...I'm getting a really bad feeling."

Hunter was concerned for Dante, he was never this quiet. She then stood up and walked past him.
"Come on...if it's worrying you that much, we'll go check on the others back at the our cave alright?" she said as she glanced back at him with a frown.

Mim was out looking at the nightlights and getting a bit of water from a nearby stream, wondering what the new comers to the valley were up to and hoping they were doing well.

Strafe surveyed Virgil before lying down again next to Kaga.
"Who is gonna watch him until Dante gets back?" she asked.
Snork answered with a yawn, "I guess I will. I just hope" he gets back soon. I'm tired"

Longtail turned to face Snork and spoke up.
"No, you go back to sleep, I'll watch over him, besides he's not really going anywhere. And when Dante arrives, he's more likely to listen to me. You need your sleep, trust me...I've got this covered." he said with a solemn nod of his head.

Hunter turned her head to Dante and asked gently, "Well...dear are you coming or not?"

With a yawn, Snork nodded and lied down on the ground. It seemed like no time at ll before he was asleep.
Strafe lied next to Kaga with her head rested on his shoulder. She would likely be sleeping late the next day because of all this excitement but it was worth it. She closed her eyes and tried to go to sleep.

Dante nodded.
"Yeah, I'm coming. I have to see if my gut feeling's right on this one."
He said quietly, standing up with a smile at Hunter...

Kaga lied down next to his mate and nuzzled her lovingly before closing his eyes and attempting to go back to sleep. He decided it would probably be best to sleep late the next day.

Longtail was getting tired of waiting for Dante and Hunter to return, he was considering going out to find them both, after all, although he said he'd watch Virgil, said saurian was in far too much pain to really go anywhere or do anything for that matter. He sighed however and continued to stand and wait.

Hunter had heard Dante's reply and continued walking back to the cave their group shared. As she came into view however, a sinking feeling came into her gut as she could see and feel the tension coming from Longtail. She turned to Dante who was behind her and said,
"I-I think...this is something....you might want to handle..."

Darin trudged tiredly through the woods looking for a place to rest.
"Why am I even here?" he whispered to himself. "He doesn't want to see me. He's happy here with his friends. They're more family to him than I ever was."
Darin found a spot by a large boulder and curled up. Before long, all became a blur...
Several weeks earlier...
It was a stranger's kindness that had brought about this change of heart in the bitter and unfriendly swimmer. A stranger who had vanished as mysteriously as they has appeared. They uurged him onward, led him to food and water, and then, would vanish without a trace.
"Don't give in! You're not meant to die here!" called the stranger from afar.
This was one of the few times they had spoken to him during his journey through the Mysterious Beyond. Darin never even saw what kind of dinosaur the stranger was, or even if it was male or female.
"Who are you?" muttered the swimmer, but he got no answer.

Longtail could see Hunter and more importantly Dante approaching and he stepped forward never once breaking eye contact with either of them. He stopped a few feet from them and looked Dante square in the eyes as he said,
"You have a visitor...I suggest you try NOT to kill him...after all...he is your brother." longtail commented with a grave and monotoned voice

(Sorry, I forgot I was taking over for Starfall until he got back.)
Dante stepped into the cave, and for a moment, everything stopped...he couldn't believe who was lying on the ground in front of him, and then the words Longtail had spoken a few seconds ago finally made sense as he gave a deep growl and walked over to stand above Virgil.
"What do you think you're doing here you scum!" shouted Dante louder than he thought.
Longtail stepped forward and said to Dante, "careful, you can see he's hurt right...he can barely move...I say we let him speak while he still awake. and then decide what to do with him."
Hunter sat outside the cave just listening to what was going to be done.

Strafe opened her eyes at the sound of Dante's yelling and was relieved to see that he was back. She raised her head and watched, waiting to see what was going to happen next. This was turning out to be quite an exciting night.
Snork didn't seem to otice as he was lying still and apparently in a deep sleep.

Dante didn't want to hear it and stepped closer to his brother with every intent on killing him right there and then.
Longtail stepped inbetween them again and said, "Dante! Don't be stupid....give him a chance...I agree I don't like this either, but we still have to try and see the good in him...after all family is all we have...after that we have nothing."
Dante turned and looked at Longtail for amoment before screaming.
"DID YOU FORGET THAT HE HELD YOU HOSTAGE AND ALMOST KILLED YOU?! ARE YOU REALLY THAT STUPID?!?"
Longtail frowned and said at a whisper, "No...I didn't forget...I still think..."
Dante didn't want to hear it as he shoved Longtail aside and said to both the flyer and his brother, "This is something I've wanted to do for longer than you know...and neither of you will stop me!"
Hunter however had heard enough and pulled on Dante's tail as she asked through saddened eyes, "What about me? Can I stop you?"

Kaga lifted his head to see what was going on. He saw that Dante was back and not very happy about Virgil being there. When it became apparent that Dante was going to kill Virgil, Kaga stood up and said sternly, "Dante, wait! I don't like the pathetic twerp either, but at least hear him out! He is your brother, after all."
As much as he hated Virgil, Kaga didn't want Dante to kill him. It was more for Dante's sake than for Virgil's that Kaga spoke up. He didn't want to see his friend, who he respected, murder someone in cold blood.

Strafe finally decided to do something stood up and walked over to Dante.
"I know he's done a lot of bad things." said the iguanodon softly, "but please don't stoop to his level, Dante. You're better than that."
It troubled her to see her friend in this situation. She had always admired Dante's loyalty and devotion, especially after he risked his life to save her and Snork from Shriek.

Dante looked around from Hunter to Snork, and Strafe and finally sighed.
"Alright...I'll listen, but if Virgil so much as blinks the wrong way I'll finish him!"
Longtail sighed in relief as he heard Dante's claim.
"I'm glad you're finally calming down." he said with a weak smile.
Hunter blinked away a few tears and nuzzled Dante gently without saying anything.
Dante then looked down at Virgil for a moment and asked, "So...what do we do with him? Does he have anything important to say?"

Kaga said, "Well, I'm obviously not going to get anymore rest tonight so let's just see what Virgil wants."
He walked up to Virgil and said coldly, "Don't think for a second that you have any friends here. What exactly do you want here?"

Virgil looked weakly up at Dante and the others, then coughed slightly.
"I...What I came to tell you is that...there is a group of...sharpteeth...they are coming for the valley...but not to just pursue a few...they seek nothing less than to...to annihilate the valley, and to kill...to kill everyone..."
He said, laying his head back down...

Kaga turned to the others and asked, "How do we know we can trust what he says?"

Longtail looked at Virgil and then to Dante and Kaga.
"I...I'm not sure we can...but...look at him! Do you really think he'd do this to himself...and then try to help us?! I...I say we trust him. What other choice do we have?!" he asked out loud.

A worried look crossed Strafe's face and she asked the others, "What are we going to do? Should we tell the others about this?"
She then looked down at Snork who was sleeping soundly and nudged him awake with her foot.
"What?" asked the swimmer as he sat up.
"I'm surprised Dante's yelling didn't wake you up." Strafe scoffed. "Virgil said something about a bunch of sharpteeth on their way here."
She then turned to the others and said, "Dante, ask Virgil how much time we have before they get here."
"Oh boy..." Snork sighed. "This has been a weird day and not it is turning into a weird night."

Virgil shook his head.
"Firstly, there's...no reason to assume... I can't speak your language... As I can. And...secondly...I don't know how long we have. But they will not be swift. The herd they are with...there are all types of sharpteeth... That fact alone will slow them down..."
He said quietly...

"Well whatever we do, I suggest we get some rest first." Kaga said tiredly. "We're all here now so there is no reason to stay up any longer."
Kaga lied down next to Strafe and rested his head on the ground.

Hunter stepped forward with a frown.
"This is bad news...but...I guess Kaga is right. We do need rest."
Longtail scoffed aloud as he replied, "Maybe you do...but I don't. Not for a while. So I'm going to tell the other elders in the valley!" The young flyer then flapped his wings and flew out of the cave, into the night sky.
Hunter sighed.
"He's always so willing to...'start a fire.'" she said with a tired smile.

Dante nodded.
"Yeah. What's sad is that we may need a fire to stop this threat..."
He said, placing his hand on Hunter's back...

Strafe awoke to see bright sunlight shining throuh the gaps in the foliage overhead. It must have been mid-day at least. Having stayed up so late, she wasn't surprised that she had slept so late. Strafe nudged Snork and Kaga awake and said, "Come on, we need to go see the others."
The iguanodon wandered outside and looked around. She wondered who all Longtail had informed last night. She was a bit worried about Mr. Threehorn finding out about Dante.
Snork joined Strafe and said with a yawn, "I'm hungry. Let's eat first."
"You're always hungry." Strafe said with a smile as she set off toward Littlefoot's herd. "Go ahead and eat if you want. I'm not hungry right now."

Near their nest area Diver was playing with her other siblings.
Mim had awoken earlier and had eaten and was walking around, no real destination in mind while Littlefoot & Cera were heading towards where Ducky's parent's nest area was.

Dante sat at the edge of the cave, looking at the rising sun.
"Guess it's time that the Valley knew I existed, huh? I only hope that things go well..."
He sighed...

Longtail was nearby Dante snoring rather loudly, loud enough in fact to wake Hunter from her sleep.
The alimon stood up and walked over to Dante.
"Well...if you're worried about meeting the other valley inhabitants then I say we try not to smile...they might see that as a threat." she said with a warm smile as she turned to Longtail and asked, "What do we do about him?"

Littlefoot and Cera reached Ducky's sleeping area. Looking around they saw most of her siblings were in the water playing, with a few eating near the water.
Looking around they saw Ducky was with a few of her siblings eating near the water. They walked over to where the small group were.

Dante smiled at Hunter, nuzzling her face lovingly.
"Yeah, that's probably a good idea."
He chuckled, wrapping his tail around hers...

"How are things?" Littlefoot asked the nearby young swimmers, looking to see where Ducky was.
"It has been a nice morning, it certainly has." Diver said.

Kaga walked up next to Hunter and Dante and said, "If you two want someone to go with you I'd be happy to go. Whatever happens, we'll stick together, n o matter what."

Hunter smiled gleefully as she turned to Kaga.
"That's nice to know." She turned to wake Longtail and found that his body wasn't where it was when she last looked. "Does anyone know where Longtail went? He was here just a moment ago." she asked aloud.
Longtail however was now clinging to the ceiling of the cave with a smile on his face having been awakened by his friends conversation. Although he wanted to join them in introducing themselves to the other valley residents he was nervous about how the residents would...react upon meeting their group.

Dante smiled at Kaga as well.
"Thanks, Kaga. It means a lot that you're willing to do that."
He said happily, then looked up at the ceiling.
"Hey Longtail! You wanna get down here?"
He teased his friend...

Longtail smiled but said with a nervous air in his voice.
"I'd like to, but I'm kinda...afraid. Most of the residents here will be at least five times our size...and if they don't like us...then I'm sure at least one of them will call for blood...or worse!"
Hunter chuckled lightly at Longtail for a moment.
"You really are scared aren't you? Well don't worry we'll protect you...you know that, and from what I've seen you can protect yourself pretty well anyway, so stop sounding like a hatchling and come along with us!"

Strafe and Snork made their way across the grassy meadow to where Littlefoot's grandparents were. The longnecks seemed more reasonable than Mr. Threehorn and they were more likely to listen.
"Do you think we should have brought Dante and Hunter with us?" Srafe asked Snork.
"They'll be fine." Snork replied as he continued onward. "Besides, they have Kaga and Longtail with them. Those two can handle pretty much anything.
"Strafe smiled and replied, "You're right."
They finally arrived at Littlefoot's nesting place. They saw that he wasn't around but his grandparents were there.
"Excuse me, Mr. Longneck." Snork greeted. "There is something important we need to tell you."

"Feel free to hop into the water and join in the fun. I'll go in once I'm finished eating and I'm sure you'll find Ducky in the water playing also." Diver said pausing in eating her breakfast.

"No problem, guys." Kaga said to the others.
The iguanodon then glanced over at Virgil, who was propped up against a log and asked Dante, "Should we bring him along too? I mean, he knows more about the situation than we do."

Virgil looked up at the group.
"If you...want me to come along, I'd be happy to..."
He said, though he sounded extremely nervous...

"Since we are here we may as well." Cera said and went over into the water. Secretly she was happy to play with others but, of course, being a 3 horn she would never show or admit it to or with so many others being around.

Longtail looked back for a moment at Virgil...and sighed.
"No...I don't want to risk you, or anyone else in the valley being startled by your appearance, I'll stay here with you."
Hunter nudged Dante and whispered, "Well...what do we do now?"

Grandpa Longneck smiled as he looked down to face Snork and Strafe.
"Yes, what do you need to tell us?" he asked in a gentle voice.

Snork said, "Well, see, we have reason to believe that the valley is in danger."
Strafe said, "Remember those sharpteeth from the other day? It has something to do with them. I heard there were even more of them heading this way. "
Snork added, "We know someone who knows more about the situation than us but we weren't sure about bringing him out here. We can take you to him and let him explain everything if you'd like."

Grandpa Longneck seemed concerned and if these new comers were willing to share such information he'd gladly take all he could get. The elderly longneck nodded his head and replied, "Please, take me to whomever we need to speak to...the more we know the better prepared we will be when the time comes."

Littlefoot jumped into the water laughing, wondering what it would be like to have so many brothers and sisters like Ducky had.
"ok, since I'm here already." Cera said getting into the water to play with the young swimmers.

Kaga turned to face Dante and Hunter for a moment.
"Virgil may be injured, but he's still a threat...are we sure we should leave Longtail alone with him."
Longtail gave a cocky grin as he replied, "Don't even worry...I'm more than a match for Virgil in his current condition. Just be sure to tell the grown-ups what going on."

Grandpa Longneck looked down at Snork and Strafe and repeated, "Please, if someone knows what kind of danger is coming you need to lead the way quickly...we may not have much time left."

( Oh man, sorry for dropping the ball guys! :bang )
Snork said, "Follow me. He's this way."
He started off for the cave where the group was hiding Virgil.
Strafe walked along silentlynext to Snork. She felt same with him. She always had, ever since Snork stood up for her against his father. Strafe worried what might happen when the invaders finally arrived.
Finally, after about ten minutes of walking, they arrived back at the cave.
"He can tell you everything, Mr. Longneck." Snork said pointing to Virgil.

Longtail was sliding his tail against the ground as he heard voices behind him. He turned only for a moment as he noticed Grandpa Longneck and Snork coming up behind him. "Hello Grandpa Longneck. Nice to see you here." Longtail then kicked Virgil and said, "Start talking!"

Kaga himself was still standing far enough away not to be seen, but he just couldn't leave Longtail alone with someone like Virgil. But upon seeing Grandpa longneck and Snork, he was relieved and sat down and began chewing on a few leaves.
Hunter was walking alongside Dante and couldn't help smiling. Dante certainly had his charm, that and his loyalty to his friends was inspiring to her.

Virgil winced in pain, then raised his head to look at the two Longnecks.
"I'm afraid to say that... there are probably...a great number of raptors coming this way...towards the Valley. I had originally formed a group to go...after Dante, but...they turned on me, and...are now hell-bent...on killing everyone in the valley and...taking it for their own..."
He said, nervous...

Mim was sitting on a log and eating some leaves she had gotten from a nearby tree. She ate some as she watched Littlefoot, Cera and the others playing in the water a short distance off.

Longtail's eyes widened in shock.
"Wait...they are coming here?! YOU FOOL!" he shouted aloud.
Grandpa Longneck stepped forward and replied, "Now Longtail, please try to stay calm, I'm sure we can work something out." he looked to Virgil and asked, "Why did you come here to warn us if you hate your brother so much?"

Virgil shook his head.
"I may hate...that blood-traitor, Dante...But...I've got limits. Killing him when he was alone...that was one thing...but now, that he's...touched so many lives, I can't bring myself to do it. And I...don't approve of destroying...this valley..."

Grandpa Longneck nodded.
"This valley is our home and I for one am glad to see that you care enough not to let these other fastbiters and sickle claws destroy it."
Longtail stepped forward and scowled at Virgil.
"You do ANYTHING to hurt Dante, and I'll kill you myself!"
Hunter stepped next to Dante and nudged him.
"You're being awfully quiet, I know your brother being here isn't easy for you, but you have to at least try to understand he came here to at least warn us of this threat."

Min fished and started walking around to see what some of the others were doing, making her way to some of the others that she got along with best.

Dante nodded at Virgil.
"You know, doing this took guts, bro. I'll give you that. And deep down, I don't think that you're a bad person. So...what do you say that, when you get healed up, you help us defend this place?"
He said, offering his hand to his brother.
Virgil looked at him for a moment.
"You naive fool. Your trust will get you hurt one day. But...I guess that I will help you. I'll defend this place, too."
He said bravely, taking his brother's claw...

Grandpa Longneck smiled as he stepped back.
"That's good to see two brothers helping each other in a time of need. Now I will go discuss this with the other valley elders, please try to stay out of trouble young ones."
Longtail however scowled darkly as he watched Virgil accept Dante's hand. He stepped over to the brother duo and glared at Virgil but did nothing else.
Hunter couldn't help but smile as she watched.
"I'm proud of you Dante. You put the past behind you in order to protect those you care about."

Strafe smiled as she watched Dante and Virgil and then she turned to Kaga.
"Kaga," she began. "I want to help defend the valley too but I don't know much about fighting sharpteeth. The last time I tried to fight a sharptooth... it didn't go so well. Can you teach me how to fight?"

Kaga smiled and nuzzled Strafe gently as he replied, "Of course I'll help teach you." He then stood up and stretched his limbs for a moment and then reached a hand out to help Strafe off the ground.

Longtail was still glaring at Virgil and said softly, "Don't make me regret trusting you Virgil...please I don't want a reason to hurt you anymore than you already are."

Mim made her way over to where she could see Grandpa Longneck was. Easy to see him in the distance.

Grandpa Longneck now sure he had enough information turned to gather the other adults of the valley and could see Mim walking into view. "hello Mim. How are you today?" he asked gently.
Hunter stepped up to Dante and licked him across the cheek.
"I am so proud of you. You know that right?"

Dante blushed a little.
"Heheh..Thanks, my love."
He said, smiling at her.
Virgil nodded to Longtail.
"I...I won't. And...I'm sorry for the last time we met. We didn't get off on a good start, so...I'd like to apologize, and see if somehow we can make it right."
He said, weakly smiling...

Mim smiled up to Grandpa Longneck. "I'm doing fine, how are you today?" She asked as she walked closer.

Littlefoot & Cera continued to play with Diver and her other siblings.

Grandpa Longneck nodded his head.
"I am doing alright, but it would seem our valley is in quite a bit of trouble." He pointed over to Virgil and then said, "He tells us another group of sickle claw and fast biters are coming here to cause trouble. I would suggest we warn the other elders here in the valley."
Longtail gave a small almost unnoticeable smile as he said, "Sure...I guess I could try to make amends with ya."
Hunter licked Dante across the nose and smiled back at him.

"Perhaps some flyers can deliver the message, unless you'd rather there be a meeting where it can be discussed." Mim said, having her own ideas of what Threehorn would likely want to do.

Grandpa Longneck nodded at Mim. "That would be the fastest way to spread the news."
Longtail having heard the conversation smiled as he turned and replied, "I'll do it!"
Grandpa Longneck smiled at the offer.
"Glad to hear it little one. Tell some of the elders exactly what is going on."
"Of course!" replied Longtail as he flapped his wings and took to the sky.

Strafe smiled to Kaga and quickly got to her feet.
"Well let's get started then, Kaga." she said, starting for the exit of the cave.
Suddenly an idea struck Snork and he asked Littlefoot's grandpa, "Mr. Longneck, how many ways in and out of this valley are there? I think I have an idea of how we can hold off the sharpteeth."
Upon hearing Snork's words, Strafe paused and looked back. It would probably be good to hear what he had to say.

Kaga smiled as he stepped into the light of the bright circle and then asked Strafe, "What would you like to learn first?"

Grandpa Longneck looked down to Virgil and Dante as he asked a question that had been on his mind since learning of all this. "So now that you've come to help us Virgil, did you and this herd of fastbiters and sickle claws have a disagreement? Or a fight perhaps?"
Hunter sat down on her hindquarters and waited to hear Virgils response to the question.

Longtail had found it rather easy to spread the news and told everyone to meet at the cave and then gave general directions to where to meet. By this point he was glad that the first few he'd come across were flyers who could help relay the message faster. After a little while longer he decided he'd done enough and turned around and headed back towards the cave hoping some of the valley elders had begun to show up.

"I guess now we should discuss what comes next." Mim said.

Snork said, "I'm going to go have a look around, guys. I think I have an idea for how to stop them from getting in."
Strafe shrugged and walked out after Kaga.
Kaga smiled as he stepped into the light of the bright circle and then asked Strafe, "What would you like to learn first?"
"Well, the first thing I need to know is how to defend myself." she replied.

Kaga grinned.
"Okay, well first things first, how fast can you dodge out of the way of an attack? Cause chances are that is most likely what will save your life in a fight." he said while keeping his eyes locked with Strafe's.

Grandpa Longneck was glad to see so many valley members attend this rather impromptu meeting so quickly. He then spoke up to get their attention. "Everyone who is here please listen we have a grave issue to discuss. It seems that someone from outside the valley has told us we are soon to be under attack."
Longtail landed nearby and slipped into the cave to check on Dante, Hunter and Virgil. "Hey you three, how ya doing?" He asked quietly.

Mim went to her usual place at the meeting place & listened to Grandpa Longneck, and waited to see if anyone else would speak after he did.

Strafe replied to Kaga's question, "I can dodge pretty fast. Taking on big enemies seems to be what gives me trouble."
Having fended off several small enemies during the journey to the valley, a few fast biters didn't scare her. She was more worried about the notion of taking on another large sharptooth.

Mim continued to listen to what Grandpa Longneck said.

Cera and Littlefoot went to the bank to rest a bit from the playing they had been doing, not knowing what was going on at the meeting place.

Dante smiled at his friend.
"I'm fine. What about you, pal?"
He asked lightly. Virgil cracked one eye open, nodding weakly.
"Not fantastic, but...ready to do what I have to."
He replied with a soft sigh...

"Under attack from who, some sharpteeth or fast biters?" Mim asked wanting to know as much information as possible.
