the only thing I know is their will be a season 2 because if the show isn't canceled then it possible it will continue. One of the cartoons I saw before didnt have a season 2 till 2 years later because it was on break. I mean they cant just end the show without the defeat of Redclaw.  :smile

You'd think that but somehow I don't think the LBT creators had any incentive to finish Red Claw off. I think the epic-ness of LBT has long since fizzled out. Also, the episodes never really followed any particular timeline and all of them are disjointed and have no relation to one another. Who knows, maybe someone will pick it up after some time away but as it stands currently, there is nothing more to expect from LBT. Not in the near future anyway

Some series have had a much more suspenseful ending. In case of Redclaw we don't know next to nothing about him so before finishing him of it would be interesting to hear some background story of him (and of the acquaintance of Chomper and Ruby come to that).
Did anyone see the Dinotopia series (not to be confused with the very poor miniseries)? That one ended with the discovery that some stone which would allow people to leave Dinotopia (which the main characters had planned to do) had been stolen. It was a cliffhanger which was certainly meant to set the stage for a second season. Apparently the economic expectations were not fulfilled by the first season and consequently a second was never produced leaving the cliffhanger dangling in midair.

I've seen some of the episodes of the dinotopia tv series, but not many.  The stone thing I heard about.  Not surprised since I think in the books it's mentioned a dino, forgot his name, did leave dinotopia and retired in ancient egypt.  & the dinos, whooly mammoths did get to dinotopia so there has to be a passage in the world beneath, or maybe there was one and it was closed off due to earthquakes, volcanos, plates shifting, ect.

The books don't speak of any dinosaur having left Dinotopia, but there are suggestions of some places on Dinotopia being influenced by the style introduced by Dolphinbacks from Egypt.

Ever heard of "pirates of dark water?" It was one of the best fantasy cartoon shows there was... and it was canceled early on...

Yeah I noticed that as well. I wish wiki was a more reliable source, but unfortunately due to the nature of it I will never be able to trust it on most things, especially LBT related.

I strongly agree with Malte on this one. I wouldn't be the least bit disappointed if Universal never again decided to release LBT material. To be quite honest, considering the downfall in popularity and profit from the sequels and TV series, I really don't blame them. I think LBT has made enough impact on our lives to want to continue it ourselves in our own community. We really don't need another movie or second season to keep our passion alive. Plus, there are probably good reasons besides closing the studio that Universal isn't trying future LBT productions. Maybe the actors are busy with other things or stuff like that.

Or maybe the apocalypse has happened and they can't find a new Littlefoot voice

I still have hopes it will come back but if it doesnt who knows maybe 25 years later they will make another movie just like Disney did to Bambi Fox and the hound etc

In twenty-five years from now, the GOF would be able to combine their salaries to buy the rights to LBT and rev the series back up :idea.

That information seems to have been removed already, although I managed to see it. Yeah that Longneck Princess one would have made a strange movie, if they did make it.
