Title: Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection!
Post by: Lain_EX on April 09, 2007, 11:29:42 PM
I just got a Nintendo DS with Wi-Fi connection, and some games are compatible with it.

I'm now accepting friend codes from the following games:

1. MarioKart DS.
2. Mario VS. DK 2 March of the minis.
3. Metroid Prime Hunters.
4. Diddy kong Racing DS.

Friend codes accepted if you have Wi-Fi connection. Thanks! ;)

(I hope Petrie doesn't delete this thread. *shivers in fear*)

Well I have to wait to travel to the states before I got my Dimard and Peral. I am going out there in under 4 weeks time working at Camp Sunnyside in IOWA and from what I know of the DS game will run on a UK version DS without a problem. I will get my one soon :) so I will give my DS code when I do get it. so look out for my code :) but it could be 3 months before I even get online again to play Wi-Fi.

So i got a new DS Lite because i found out i had a dead pixel on the screen so i returned it for a brand new one (with 7 days left on my warranty :lol ). So i still have all my friends but everyone has to add me again. So my friend codes are:

Metroid Prime Hunters: 0645 2627 1385
Star Fox Command: 654 871 404 933

And i finally had to buy another Mario Kart because my friend lost my other one (with everything unlocked, 3 star rank on every cup and mission, and my 8 friends from NOA  :cry )
Any way, my new Mario Kart friend code is: 154720 584816

I won't be on wi-fi for some time, I am at the moment in the states and these computers I don't think can handle software like Nintendo Wi-fi so I will have to do without till september time. I am at the moment at Camp Sunnyside working there :)

But I do have now the two new Pokemon games for the the DS and very cool I might add. When I get wi-fi again I will share my friends code of it.

Hey gang!

Anyone fancy linking up with me for a little Worldwide Wii action?! If so, here's my Wii friends code:

5128 0682 8999 0398

I'm pretty much open to anyone just to bulk out my friends roster. My only Wi-Fi game atm is Mario Charged Footy but that'll soon change come early Feb.

You know what I'm talkin' about  ;)

Also, for any PS3 owners out there, look up "TBlade16" (that's me too).

Look forward to gaming with y'all  ;)

Where can you chech the Wii address?
From the main menu is (the one with all your channels) click on the button on the bottom left, this will bring you to your Wii Message board, where all your messages are sent to. Now, on the bottom right, there will be 2 buttons. Click on the one that says "create message". Once you do that, 3 icons will appear, the left one leaves a memo to yourself on the message board, the middle is where you send messages to your friends wii and the right icon is your address book. Click on that, and viola! Your Wii's address will be on the front cover. Hit register on the bottom right to register your friends address so you can send messages, pictures, give Virtual Console gifts and stuff like that. I hope thats the answer your looking for.

And if anyone wants my Wii Address its: 0825 3137 0530 7070
And my Battalion Wars II Friends Code: 292 172 827 076

I only have one online game but, like LF1616, that will change in Feb :DD

The only Nintendo DS games I have that are Wi-Fi compatable are Mario Kart and Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass at the moment. I have to look for the codes, but until then here is my Wii Friend Code:

0630 8608 1544 9859

(To Littlefoot1616) I have registered your friendcode, so now I await you to register mine so we can keep in touch.

If anyone else wants to register friend codes with me please let me know so I can add your friend code. I will look for my Nintendo DS so I can register Mario Kart and Zelda with others, and of course, register Super Smash Brothers Brawl codes. See you guys on the Wii.  :wave

-Mario Kart DS: 356584 480056 (Make sure you use this friend code, as ive have listed multiple friend codes for this game due to having 3 different DSes and 2 different Mario Karts (Long story, but if you wanna know, then ask))
-Metroid Prime Hunters: 0645 2627 1385
-Star Fox Command: 654 871 404 933 (Metroid and Star Fox also have different friend codes due to the different DSes, make sure the friend code you've inputted are the same as these above)

[EDIT] i'll be using a different file for Zelda, and therefore the friend code will be different (i little annoying i think). Anyways, here it is: 0001 2347 5500

I can help you. I can start a new file and get about 6 of them in about a half hour and i'll send you some. Which reminds me, i have to finish beating normal. Im only missing one more scan (a red credit) and i think i need one more yellow credit to unlock the last song.

[EDIT] I have about 9 friend vouchers that i can send to you now out of the 14 (i think) that you to unlock everything that requires friend credits. All im waiting on now is that you register my Wii Address.

Title: Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection!
Post by: Flathead770 on January 22, 2008, 01:43:06 AM
well if you only have each others wii addresses then you still can't play online games with them as each game requires a different friend code. But you can send messages (Wii-mails as i call them), pictures, your Miis, and Virtual console games as gifts( but you have to pay for them :lol ). I think thats about it really, unless you own Metroid Prime 3, then you can send each other friend vouchers with no extra friend codes required.

Flathead770: Cool! I'll add you to my contacts list when I get the chance. I'll have to look into how to request the friend vouchers over WiiConnect24 but I'm sure all I have to do is send an invite. I've clear MP3 on both Normal and Hard mode and seen both the 75% and 100% completion FMVs. I'm just about to face the 1st guardian seed on Bryyo on Hypermode...not looking forward to it but hey...I'll give it a shot ;)

Lain_EX: I've added you to my list matey, all I need is a message from you to say we're linked. So when ever you're ready  :^.^:

If your finding it hard to dodge an attack during the boss fight, just go into hyper mode, take the hit, and switch back. It really makes some bosses a lot easier (don't have to worry about Rundas almost 1 hit-KOing you). If you need any help at all during your run-through on hypermode, just ask and i'll be willing to help. I just started my file again on hypermode so i can go through again and try and find strageties or techniques for the bosses (though the one i listed above works very effectively for any boss, excluding the last of coarse).

I just beat MP3 on Normal (i did it last) and found it a complete joke. Dark Samus was pitiful, only taking me like 5 minutes to beat. But i wanted to do for the sake of having all 3 circles filled in on the file select screen. Now im going through the game on Hypermode again, trying to get the last medal to unlock the last song (the title music, what a dumb unlockable, just press B to listen to it :lol ).

And don't worry, before long, you'll be enjoying your Mii-bobblehead and bumber stickers! :DD

That's pretty much all I'm looking for.  :lol But you need the friend tokens to get them. I've acquired everything else that's DOESN'T need the green tokens. I've fought Bryyo's Seed Guardian without much success so far but I've had to adapt my strategy slightly. Before, on easier settings, I'd just destroy all the red spheres, and prevent him from collecting anymore to replace them. On Hypermode, the orbs require too much damage to destroy to prevent him from replacing lost orbs (I can get one but not both). So now, I've had to systematically destroy one orb socket at a time rather then being able to go for any one of them. My last failure, I had him down to the last socket and I'd destroyed the red orb but I didn't have enough energy to enter Hypermode and he sat on me!  :bang  :DD He does a ton of damage if you actually come into contact with him!  :(

I'll get him next time... ;)

Another tip i forgot to mention when fighting bosses. When you enter Hypermode, only fire of about half of your ammo, then wait until you enter corrupt Hypermode. Once that happens you have infinite Hypermode ammo for 25 sec as long as you don't become corrupt or expend all phazon. This allows more shots to be fired off and gives you more invinsibility time.

i recorded a video of me beating the seed boss on Bryyo. Hopefully this can help you beat the boss if you haven't already LF1616. By the time i was on the last orb i had to destroy, i still had 4 full energy tanks and i heavly used the strageties i listed above. I'll post the video when i get it uploaded.

Sounds cool action! Always looking for a new gamer to link up with ;)

Flathead770: Thanks for the advice matey, but I've already done it. It wasn't too hard, Mogenar is just a royal pain to be frank. Especially getting the orb on his back. I did it first time yesterday so I'm happily on my way to Elysia now  :D Oh, and the extended Hypermode? I knew about that. You can have about an extra 20-30secs whilst corrupt but after that, the tank Auto Vents and you return to normal. Apparently, you can actually use this trick to minimise the amount of energy you deplete whilst in Hypermode. By waiting for the auto vent, the corruption builts up and replenishes what you've lost during shooting. ;)

Lain_EX: Wickid! I'll check out your message later today buddy  ;)

no problem LF1616, i don't mind going through the game again. If you need help later on i'll be willing to help, but i think its pretty much clear sailing now until the last boss (my corruption meter actually was half full at one point on Hypermode, the closest i've ever been to dying on that boss). I found Mognar to be the hardest boss on Hypermode so hopefully you won't have to much trouble now. Also, i sent you some Wii-mails regarding the friend vouchers.

Oh...quickly realised, to play Mario Strikers, you need the 10-digit players code. D'oh  :slap Here's mine for anyone who wants to link up:

519811 065039

Flathead770: I still haven't got that MP3 friend token from you yet despite numerous tries and being linked to Wii24 for days now  Reeeaaalllly dunno what's up with that...hope our tokens don't get wasted. Maybe we both need to log onto MP3 at the same time for our consoles to recognise we have saved game files....i dunno
Title: Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection!
Post by: Flathead770 on February 08, 2008, 02:15:27 AM
ya, no idea whats going on with that. Oh, and don't worry about the tokens, i only sent one just in case something like this might happen, and still have like 12 or 13 more to sent. Also, don't worry about sending me friend tokens as i've already unlocked everything that requires friend credits.
Quote

worth a shot i guess, though it might be difficult with the time zone differences. We'll have to set a time, according to the GoF time, that will suit us both.

Post by: Flathead770 on February 08, 2008, 06:19:01 PM
I looked through the nsider forums tp see if there was already a similar problem like ours with no luck. But it just occurred to me, maybe we can't send the tokens because we both live in different countries, cause i know that an imported game doesn't work with the wii unless its also imported from the same area. If this is true then we probably can't send each other friend tokens, which is a bummer.

You could be right about that there. It's probably the game regioning that is causing the lack of communication. But saying that, I'm pretty darn sure, coz it's an online service, one would think (or hope) that data such as MP3 friend tokens would be universal. Seems a little odd that they'd limit it to DVD regions  Meh...i dunno. There must be a logical reason for it

Here is my code for Brawl:

3780-8677-4561

Give me until Friday before we start duking it out online. School has never been so cruel to me.  -_-

Friday and all of next week I'll be on Spring Break, so we can Brawl till the crack of dawn. BTW, when we Brawl online, if you happen to notice any lag it's most likely because of my horrible internet connection. (I am striving to get a better one) So please forgive me if any complications come up either before a match or during a match.

See you guys then.  :wave

Great, i've added you all! Just to let you know, my username for brawl is X-LK because of the name restrictions. Saturday will probably be the best time  for me to Brawl, but i might be able to on Wednesday as well.

There's one video online where people did a wi-fi match and the lag is really really bad.  Not much happened in the match. :(
Title: Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection!
Post by: Keni on March 13, 2008, 06:44:38 PM
The lag in Brawl isn't that bad. Worst I've seen when I play online is a delay between button pressing and my character triggering the action. I counted probably a 1 to 3 second delay between pressing the button and my character moving.

Anyway, as for my Brawl friend code. I kind of prefer for anyone interested in having my friend code to PM me for it. Makes it much easier for me to keep track of those who want to swap codes with ,e.

Nicely done.  My excuse is that I couldn't get any offensive items that could reach you when I fell behind :p :lol
I also kept using thunderclouds on myself by accident when I was behind. :p

Probably not necessary but thank you for the offer. :)
I have a pretty good idea of what you do, it's just coordinating and executing it that I find challenging. :lol

I do prefer more players on the field, I must admit.  More variety of items, more chaos and more opportunities to smack the fellow in 1st place! :D

Whats probably making the Wii pretty boring is all those uncall for Games there making.  So far only Mario, Link, Pokemon and Samus, made it on the Wii.  I don't know went they are going to bring out Kirby, F-Zero, Yoshi, and DK.
