I already have videopad video editor, so can I make a music video with that? I want to do a tribute to...I dunno, Topps, maybe? He's pretty cool. It would be soooo fun...I dream of doing this stuff but have never made any...

Cool, but first of all it's gone---I apparently only downloaded it for 2 weeks and that expired.
And secondly, I'm next to clueless on how to work it. It's all so complicated.
Do you have any, easy, free suggestions of where to download a videoeditor program?

There isn't much I can suggest for Windows. On Linux, there is a video editor I tried out that seems easy to pick up on called OpenShot Video Editor. I'd recommend that to you, but it's Linux only.
For Windows, there are 2 you could try. There's Windows Movie Maker, which does freeze up a lot, but it has a lot of free plugins to get more effects and transitions. Then there's Pinnacle VideoSpin which has no effects, but is supposedly easier to use than WMM.

I've decided my first tribute will be to Spike, though I plan to do dozens more. I want the video to be entirely purple-tinged, if possible, since that's how Spike sees things, apparently.
Hey...I just realized...his eyes are purple, so maybe dinosaurs' vision depend on their eye color?
Unfortunately, my previous attempts to install the add ons have failed, and even once I get them I'm not sure how to work it all. :unsure:

No. No one's vision is based on the color of their iris. My eyes are green but I don't see the world through nothing but green.
What actually determines what colors we see is the type of cones in our eyes. Humans have 3, so we can see a large variety of colors. Some mammals have only 2, so they have a very limited range of colors. And others have only 1 or none, so they have almost or total greyscale vision.
Dinosaurs are a transition between reptile and bird, so it would make sense for them to have 4 or even 5 types of cones. This essentially means they had superior color vision, able to see colors we cannot hope to imagine.

OK. I don't get wh the deal with Spike's vision is, then, but OK.
Anyways, I'd shoot it in that color if possible, and try to include clips of everything I consider a stand-out moment in Spike's life---and there are a lot. But it doesn't matter, since I could just include brief quick shots of each.
If only I could manage to get add-ons. And then figure out how video editor works. :slap

I had to look up a video containing footage of Through The Eyes Of A Spiketail, as I don't recall if I saw what his vision was like or not. What I'm seeing is that he sees everything in purple. Well even close to pink. Purplish pink.
This also can be explained by the number of cones. Remember what I said before, the more cones you have, the more color you see, and the less you have, the less you can see? The same thing applies here.
What Spike has is color blindness. This condition is caused when one or more cones are missing. It doesn't require you can't see any color at all (though that does happen sometimes). For instance, you could be missing the cones required for seeing green, so anything that appears green will appear to be brownish or some other color to you.
Spike appears to be missing most of his cones except for perhaps his ultraviolet ones, or part of a cone that lets him see the pinkish purple coloration. As a result, Spike has monochrome vision (shades of one color) and is completely unable to see any other color besides pinkish purple.
He may have been born this way. If not, something happened to him to cause it to happen.

I think it would be cool to make a tribute to the LBT films I grew up with (1-9) feauturing scenes from all 9 movies, similar to what Darkhououmon did.

I don't actually think I've seen that many LBT music videos with "If We Hold On Together", so if that interests you I'd say go for it. I can never tell what other music will go with this cartoon :rolleyes:

Just because somebody else used a song in their tribute doesn't mean you can't. I'm sure DH wouldn't mind if you used My Immortal. It's actually one of the more popular choices in terms of songs to use for AMV's (and for good reason, it's a beautiful song).
Just remember that if you post it on YouTube, be prepared to deal with copyright infringement. AMV's are not safe from copyright infringement laws, especially LBT ever since Universal went on their takedown spree.

And what makes that unfortunate is that mvs should be safe from take downs as they are fair use. Even the song can be fair use; just look at Youtube. How often do you see a link to buy the MP3 of a song nowadays? It's quite common now. There's less takedowns of a song, more links to make a profit off of said song for the copyright holders. And the footage? Definitely fair use, as only short clips are used and it's not a link to the full movie from start to finish.
But some copyright holders deny that mvs are fair use and take them down anyway. A shame.
And do I mind if Bruton uses the same song? Not really. I've seen a lot of music videos that use the same song for the same show/movie/etc.

Anyways, I've got a question and figured this old topic would be the place to put it. Seeing as I'm a member of youtube now I can make videos, and I found a site called "clip converter" to drag the clips I want. There's just one problem: it doesn't allow me to drag my clips into the audio section. So I can't use just any song. I'm offered a selection of audio clips. But there's not a ton. How do I get just any song that I want, and put it in youtube editor to use for a video? Much appreicted.

Um, what's a good video making program I can download for free that's safe? Because I can only choose from a selection of songs on youtube's editor, and I don't think it's possible to put other ones on there. :(

There is Pinnacle Videospin that's free. Windows comes with a free editor, Windows Movie Maker, or Live Movie Maker depending on the version of Windows you are using. There is also Openshot, but that's not available on Windows yet, but its slated to be released on Windows in December.

I have windows, but I can't find the windows movie maker I should have. As for pinnacle, I assume it is safe for my computer?

Click the Start button, then type in Windows Live Movie Maker, and wait. It should show up in the search.

You can download TeamViewer for free. And no, it doesn't have a webcam option available. Instead, it will show me your desktop screen. Depending on the options, I can either have control of your desktop right away or after I ask for control and you give it to me. Keep in mind you will not lose control yourself at any point, so you don't have to be worried about that. Using TeamViewer, I can see for myself what is going on and from there have an easier time coming up with a solution.

I saw the post in the orientation thread and I did respond.
Anyway, you can run Teamviewer without installing it. If I remember right, when you open it up, there should be an option to run it. Choose that and it should run just fine.

Yes of course it says you need my ID. Sorry I left but I had to go to bed. Anyway all you have to do is either give me your ID and current password to Teamviewer (do not close it; the password is dynamic, meaning it changes) or I give you my ID and current password (in which case means you'll get to see my screen).
I am still willing to help you get Pinnacle Videospin working, but I have no idea when you are on. So I'll tell you what. I will PM you on GOF with my ID and current password. I will leave Teamviewer open and wait for you to get on.

Thanks for still being willing to help. Sadly, the song mentioned was just one of many examples of things that briefly bring my sexual feelings for the character to a stop, but I forgive and feel the same way I did a short time later.
