Our holy grail---our great valley---is indeed the original cut of the movie. We've searched, we've scoured, we've found evidence against claims that the cut footage is lost, we've been almost in reach of it---but we keep losing it! Will we ever find it?
Well, I just want to tell anyone who's hopeless out there like me that we still aren't giving up. Either we will find it or we won't. It's our duty as the Gang of Five to find these lost scenes! ;)

A "duty" sounds like an obligation to me, like something one had to do at somebody else's bidding even though one would rather not. To me that quest for our "holy grail" may by now consist more of the looking for it or discussing it rather than actually finding it. In fact it might even be a short moment of joy followed by a shallow feeling of having found the scenes but in doing so lost a something that may be more worthwhile as something to look for than as something to consume by finding and watching it :unsure:

I agree with Malte. We feel obligated when you say duty. Yes we all will try our best to find it, but don't say duty.
