Title: The saddest song (you've got)
Post by: Bruton the Iguanodon on April 05, 2012, 03:51:01 AM
What's one of the saddest songs you can think of?

Mine if Christina Aguilera's "I'm OK", which is about her abusive dad:

daddy please
i'll kill you little girl

mhmm
once upon a time
there was a little girl
in her in the years
she had to learn
how to grow up in a war
she called hoem
never noticed where to look for shelter
from a storm
hurt me to see my mothers face
everytime my fathers fist
would but her in her place
hearing all the yelling
I would cry up in my room
hoping it would be over soon

Chours:
bruises fade father
but the pain remains the same
and I still remeber
how you kept me so afraid
the strength is my mother
for all the love she gave
every morning that I wake
I look back to yesterday
and I'm okay

half the window wide
I've carried all this skin
when it's you that helped me
put together these wall that I built
shadows stir at night through a crack in the door
th echos of a broken child
screamign please no more

Chorus:

brusies fade father
but the pain remains the same
and I still remember how
you kept me so..
so afraid
the strength is my mother
for all the love she gave
every morning that I wake
I look back to yesterday
and I'm okay

It's not so easy to forget
all the rocks in her life
are known as dad
when I was thrown
against cold cement
now everyday I'm afraid
to come home fear
of what i might see

Chorus:
bruises fade father
but the pain remains the same
and I still remeber how you kept me so afraid
the strength is my mother
for all the love she gave
every moring that I wake
I look back to yesterday
and i'm Okay
mhmm
I'm okay

And here's a pic showing how my favorite trio would look if they heard it:

And just so you know, her dad has since tried to make contact wth her, but Christina has refused to answer him. I'm glad you're doing the right thing, girl.  ;)

Hmm. Saddest song I have is "The Whispering Winds," from the LBT soundtrack.

No words, of course, but I suspect listening to it goes something like this:

1st- Eyes twitch uncontrollably.

2nd- Eyes begin to water. Listener claims it's just "something in my eye."

3rd- Listener begins choking up.

4th- Listener suddenly begins to bawl forcefully.

5th- song ends. Listener stares blankly at nothing in particular for a few moments- the musical equivalent of "shell-shocked."

If You Could See Me Now by the Script
I know I already posted this in what makes you cry, but seriously, this song is just so so so so sad :(
basically about losing a loved one, and just feeling so hopeless. Can you see me up there, wherever you are? Have you seen what I've done? Everything I've accomplished? Are you proud?

I do NOT recommend listening to this in a public place *ahem* student computer lab *ahem*

This rap song is so depressing I'm listening to it now and it's bringing tears to my eyes. So much Liquid Pride right now. This song is perfect for everyone that had lost someone.
