Artists can use paintbrush and paint bucket tools to design their own landscapes with labels like river, rock and cloud. A style transfer algorithm allows creators to apply filters — changing a daytime scene to sunset, or a photorealistic image to a painting. Users can even upload their own filters to layer onto their masterpieces, or upload custom segmentation maps and landscape images as a foundation for their artwork

It's pretty simple to work with. You indicate what the image needs to contain and where, and then the AI works its magic and creates a landscape based on your input. It's not perfect by any means, frequently combining textures when it shouldn't, but with some playing around it can give pretty nice results. I tried to make the Great Valley and the first view of the Mysterious Beyond, attached!

In light of the script that has been found for LBT 6, @StardustSoldier thought it might be a good idea to watch the 6th movie again and do a nice comparison. Figured we might as well make it a group viewing, just like we did impromptu with LBT 12 a few months ago.

LBT Projects / GOF Sing-along: If We Hold On Together

Hi everyone!  :rainbowwave

Remember the singing projects? The banners you'll see in some people's avatars? Here's a small reboot! In honor of making a fully GOF-voiced Land Before Time movie, I thought it would also be a good idea to put voice-overs instead of Diana Ross' song during the credits.

The premise is very simple: if you have a microphone of any kind and want to join - you can! You'll need a few more things to send me a recording:
- A program in which you can record your voice. This can be any program of your choice, so long as it can create mp3 or wav files. A good free option is Audacity.
- Earphones to listen to the song (so that we won't hear an echo of it in your recording).
- Quiet time at home to record!

Are you in? You can find the lyrics here. Attached to this post you'll find Action9000's excellent rendition of the song without any vocals. Please sing along to that song, since the original song has a slightly different timing from the rendition.

I'll be updating this post with the people who want to join! Feel free to ask if you have any questions. I want at least 5 voices - but the more the merrier! :)

Okay... Okay. How was there not a Game of Thrones topic on this board yet? This show has been going strong for 8+ years and is coming to an end this year. The newest trailer was just released 2 days ago, watch it here:

I'm personally very excited to see where the show goes. By now it has deviated from the books and gone further than the books have. No one knows the ending, though there is much speculation. I'd like to believe that, even though this is a show where basically anyone can meet their end, good will persevere and evil will be vanquished. But that might very well just be the small bit of optimism that I have left in me.

The new series will air in a month and a week from now on 14 April. Who else will be watching?

A while ago I read the book Good Omens, and lo and behold, they are making an adaptation of it! I've always loved Terry Pratchett's stuff and Neil Gaiman makes an excellent partner in writing. The cast for the TV series is very promising and I'm really looking forward to it becoming available here. Anyone else interested in this show?

Silver Screen / Detective Pikachu - the movie

So the Pokemon Company decided to make a movie of the 3DS game Detective Pikachu. The trailers so far have shown realistic Pokémon graphics, which might not be everyone's cup of tea. Interestingly, Ryan Reynolds was cast to play Pikachu, which in my opinion was a great choice. People have stated they wanted an even lower voice (as Pikachu had in the game), but I think Ryan's personality fits really well with the character.

Gamers Zone / Your favorite video games of 2018

The year is wrapping up and we have been blessed with some amazing games. Can you name your favorites?

I've got a couple myself:
  • Parkitect - Really capturing that spirit that hooked me on Rollercoaster Tycoon as a kid. Loved every minute of it so far.
  • Graveyard Keeper - While a bit repetitive at times, this unique simulation game has a lovely art style. It is also really satisfying when you finally unlock a new area or ability.
  • Overcooked 2 - RAAAAAAAAH.... Such a fun game to play with friends  :lol
  • ASTRO BOT Rescue Mission - This PlayStation VR game truly makes you think outside of the box and makes full use of VR capabilities. Videos do not do it justice, you really have to experience it yourself.
  • Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu/Eevee!
    Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu/Eevee! - A beautiful recreation of the very first Pokémon game, with many fun quirks and several gameplay choices that I'd love to see in the next main game.
  • Special mention to They Are Billions, that technically got released late last year, but is also still in early access so the release date is debatable. I poured many hours into this Age of Empires meets Zombies game and have still not been able to beat the higher levels.
PlayStation has received many other amazing games, such as Spider-Man, God of War and Red Dead Redemption 2, but I have not been able to give those a shot as of yet. One day...!

If you are here, hi! Some of you will have been told to use the IP address instead of the www.gangoffive.net domain name, as the domain is currently not referring to the forum.  :opetrie

We're still trying to get to the bottom of the issue, but in the meantime, please keep using the IP. We will let you know through the available channels as soon as the forum domain link is up and running again.

However, while this is a problem, please do share the solution of accessing the forum with other GoF members. It should always be reachable through the following IP:

We've informed people through Discord, Facebook and the LBTFanclub deviantart page, and some of you have shared the message with your friends. However, since we have only seen about 1 post in the past 2 days, I assume many people are still not aware of the possibility to access the forum or forget the IP address. LBT Emotes / New Land Before Time emotes for Discord/the forum

Hi all! :wave

Recently there was a discussion on the Discord group to add more LBT related emotes on the server. Sneak came up with the genius idea of turning it into a drawing competition! While I think this is a great idea, I think we would get a bigger amount of submissions if we would accept both drawn emotes and images taken from screenshots from the movies/tv series.

These emotes are currently available on the Discord server.


Many of these are similar as those available on the forum. There's mostly a big trend of happy faces :Mo :)littlefoot (twice), but also Ducky and Topps (lol) in the bottom row.

There are a few other emotions, such as  :sducky,  :^^spike,  :(petrie and  x(cera, but I think we can all agree that some more variation couldn't hurt!

I think it would be great to have some more emotions that could be expressed through our beloved dino faces. These would be the most prominent, but please let me know if you have some great ideas to add to this list and I'll update it as we go!

On top of this list of emotes, I think it would also be good to have a big variation of characters. Several characters are currently not at all represented and would love to be in the spot light. Think Ruby, Ali, Guido, Sharptooth, the Yellow Bellies (OK maybe not :lol). Austin has this useful character list on his website (not complete, but still a nice overview):

First things first. We need some ideas! If you can think of a great combo (Ducky123 mentioned Ruby + thinking, for example), please let me know below and I'll try to gather the ideas here. Then I think we'll turn it into a weekly drawing competition. Please keep in mind the emotes are rather small, so they cannot be extremely detailed as it would be hard to make out what's on the screen.

Ideas:
  • Thinking - Littlefoot, Ruby
  • Surprise - Petrie, Ducky, Chomper
  • Facepalm - Ruby, Cera, Guido, Shorty
  • Wink - Ali, Chomper, Spike, Mo

The most wonderful time of the year is coming up, and to celebrate the holiday spirit I decide to share the following with you today:

Redditgifts is a website on which you can join secret santa-like gift exchanges throughout the entire year. Basically you sign up for an exchange with a free Reddit account, fill out your information and wait to be matched. Once you are matched, you receive the info of someone else who joined the gift exchange and try to find the perfect gift for them, while someone else will do the same for you. The only thing they ask is that the gift has a minimum value of $20 ( :TakeMoney), which is a fair requirement.

I've joined 6 themed exchanges so far, they have a different set each month. There has only been one time that I didn't receive a gift, but they have a good back-up system in place in case you miss out like that. Right now there are sign-ups for the big one. The one that started them all. The actual secret santa.

I really enjoy giving gifts, and giving them to a stranger is extremely satisfying. Knowing you can make someone's day when they had the worst week of their life feels absolutely amazing. And receiving a gift is nice too of course ;)

Anyway, just thought I'd share with you guys! I think there are many people in this community who would have a great time joining something like this. Feel free to ask any questions as I've been doing this for quite some time now! :)
