Why not? He's a cool character and he has a big fanbase here on the GoF, apparently :p There's an open plot about him anyway since he's been banished but, after 5 cold times, he may return. Might make another sequel if he doesn't appear in 14 ;) I'm a little concerned about his voice actor though. If somebody else were to voice Pterano, I'm not sure if he'd be the same
Inactive, probably forever.

He's got cancer. There was a topic on here a while ago but I can't find it right now...

He's got cancer. There was a topic on here a while ago but I can't find it right now...

Ducky123: Michael York, had "amyloidosis" and "multiple myeloma" which is a form of cancer in bone marrow, a couple of years ago.

If Pterano were to make a future appearance, he would need a new voice actor.

I can't see him being voiced by Michael York, because of the health issues that he's had for the past couple of years. He doesn't have the same power and strength in his voice for Pterano as he did during "The Stone Of Cold Fire". Pterano would need a new voice actor if he were to make a future appearance.

Now, Michael York *is* still alive and going, and still does interviews, but he doesn't have the same full power and strength in his voice for Pterano because of the health issues he's had recently.

If you needed a new/recent video of Michael York and what he looks and sounds like today, he is on the left in this video:

Also, here he was in 2013 speaking about the amyloidosis:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_cF0pY9IsiM

He then had a successful blood stem cell transplant in July 2013 to treat his condition.

Also, here's a time comparison of Michael York. Then, and now.

November 2000. 58 years old. 1 month before "The Stone Of Cold Fire" was released: http://img.spokeo.com/public/900-600/micha..._2000_11_14.jpg

January 2005 at 62 years old: http://img.spokeo.com/public/900-600/micha..._2005_01_13.jpg

November 2010 at 68 years old. 10 years after "The Stone Of Cold Fire".  Here it *really* looked like he was having an issue with the skin area around his eyes: http://www2.pictures.zimbio.com/gi/Michael...jZxUWe6B5Fl.jpg

April 2011 at 69 years old. He had lost the neatness of his hair and started wearing sunglasses to lessen the appearance of the skin discoloration around his eyes: http://img.spokeo.com/public/900-600/micha..._2011_04_26.jpg

2013 at 71 years old. The article this picture comes from says " Doctors initially diagnosed York with bone cancer before discovering he actually has amyloidosis, a blood disorder that breaks down tissues and leaves abnormal deposits in the body."  http://cdn.images.express.co.uk/img/dynami...0x/395731_1.jpg

January 2014: http://static7.imagecollect.com/preview/560/b73073d8b133b53

And another from last year. 2014.  Notice that he's wearing glasses with clear lenses again: http://www.yourcanterbury.co.uk/polopoly_f...e_630/image.jpg

Michael York has been recovering, but if Pterano were to return in a future movie, he would need a new voice actor. You know that I love Pterano, and I would love to see him again, but I don't expect to see him in the upcoming 14th movie, though.
