Hmm... Not a fan of this kind of drawing penship ... Kind of irritates me in my opinion. Just doesn't belong for the LBT art style. :sducky
Looks really good to me! The perspective you have in the background is nice, and the character designs are very original :smile
Ah very nice. I feel like the characters are getting better and better and the background is nice and simple (I think the clouds look better then before as well. As far as proportions, I think the only thing that looks off here is that the tail looks a little thin (and almost becomes paper thin about 3/4 of the way). Also it seems that her right arm is missing? Other then that Nimble is looking great!
One last thing I want to mention is with the background itself. The horizon line should always be straight (unless it's so high up the curvature of the Earth would be noticeable). If you look on the right hand side the water level is lower then on the left.
Anyways, great job once again! :DD
I really like the style!
I especially like the water, the reflection makes it look beautiful.
As Flathead770 has already mentioned, is this odd horizon intended? In my opinion, the effect it creates is great! Together with the water and the land, it reminds me of the Earth of what it looks like as a planet. The colors match it.
I also find the shadows beautiful. The clouds therefore seem to be round. The hills on the side are also rounded off by it.
That' s about the background.
To be honest, I like Nimble more here than in the last picture. I think that's more because of the pose than to the drawing technique. Both are good, but if I had to decide for the better one, I would choose the newer one.
The missing right hand doesn't really bother me. I also noticed it, but I try to imagine that it is hidden by the left hand. Maybe it helps to hint at it a little so that it doesn't seem to be missing.
Apart from that, I have to say that this picture is my personal favorite! :)
I'm looking forward to more!
Thank you, Flathead! Tbh your feedback helps me a lot, so it’s always great to hear from youYou're very welcome! I honestly don't know if I'm being to critical or negative in my feedback so it's good to know that it's not the case. :smile
So nice! Lovely colours! Can't say that for my drawings :p
I was almost going to say the artstyle seemingly changed when I looked back and realized that the thick lines were consistent. :Mo
*thinks of something to say* Nice purple palette.

Oh my. I'm gone for one weekend and there's a bunch of new drawings here! :p
Alright, for the one of Crim, it looks great with no real noticeable flaws. The neck might be a little off in some way? And maybe a distinction between the water and sky in the background would help but other then that you did a fantastic job!
Same goes with the next one. I actually don't have any criticism on this one, everything looks good in my book! (and I agree that the sparkle type effect helps with the making it look like scales). Awesome!
And for the last one, it's nice to see some canon characters in your artwork. A quick pointer is that longnecks pretty much all have their nostrils up further on their bulge in between their eyes (only ones I can think of that has nostrils like that are the tinysauruses).
Overall that's some real good improvements you've made over your last few drawings! Looks like I'll need to step up my game haha.
The light-dark hue of gray are very appealing (I almost typed appalling lol :smile). It's probably the muted colors that give the Diplodocus an aura of friendliness and approach ability... at least the top one.
The bottom closeup looks like she's ready to wreck something. :sducky
Again, this is a very nice set of pictures and especially the group of hatchlings is really sweet. It has some of the best and smoothest colors and expressions I've seen from you and the whole layout is just adorable and it could easily be your best picture thus far. The two latter ones are colored sketches but they still prove your ability to replicate a multitude of different emotions, most notably with the Diplodocus poses. Excellent job, especially with the first one! :^^spike
That looks fabulous! Great job.
As StardustSoldier already stated, it looks amazing jassy. The facial expression was conveyed here very well, as I can feel the sorrow, regret, and betrayal that gleams from her eye and frowned mouth. The direction that Nimble looks back to tells me that he wants to go back, but yet he can't. The scars present on Nimble's left leg does well to represent a conflict with another Sharptooth that probably occurred earlier that led to what we see here in this caption. I'm not really sure what the background is, other than a very secluded foliage area at night time, as you can see (fireflies?) illuminate around him. It does well to blend in with the tone that was already set with this drawing and create a bigger tension of uncertainty. Awesome work, jassy! :DD
This is a great drawing! I love your art style :D
Really good to see you posting some more fanart Jassy!
It's been a while since I've seen your other works but this one seem like a good improvement overall with proportions and the eyes look great as always! A small critique I think is that her left leg looks a little thick on the lower half?
Very nicely done though and I hope to see you post a bit more often! :smile
It is nice to see you continue with drawing fanart after a pause. It's indeed very true that work or school tend to eat most of our free time as is the case with me currently. But putting that small complexity aside, I am not too familiar with your drawings in this section thus far, but I can see why people like them as you have an exceptional style in your work, which is something that should always be appreciated more as all artists cannot be exactly the same in every manner. Distinct qualities make the method stand out among hundreds of other pictures and drawings.
As ImpracticalDino already expressed, the appearance of Nimble is what one would expect after living a harsh life filled with uncertainties and it is very much evident that she has been in harm’s way more than once judging by not only her demeanor but visage as well. The claw marks on her leg only reinforce this sentiment and you can’t help but feel sympathy for this unfortunate soul. The background was also a very good addition to the picture as it makes the picture more vivid, if that is the right for it. Likewise, I have to praise the composition of her eyes as I very much find the entire proportion to be perhaps one of the best parts in this drawing. As the rest of her appearance emanates that deep sorrow smoothly, it is no doubt her eyes that tell the full story of her tragic tale.
However, some things in the picture did bug me, the most notable being that her tail seemingly just disappears at one point, which is quite flabbergasting to say the least. It would have worked a lot better in my opinion, if you had drawn the entire aspect of her tail all the way, as that small deviation is distinguishable. The shape of her head is somewhat sluggish as a result of making the rest of her figure runtish in comparison to the rest of her body. Despite those small critiques about your picture, it was predominantly a success. Thank you for sharing it with us and I’ll be sure to check out the rest of your works. I can’t wait for what you might bring us in the near future! :)
...
It looks hypnotising for some reason... Maybe combination of unique background and dinosaur's look...
It's beautiful. Well done, Jassy!
Can't spot anything obvious that's bad here but I'm not the most observant person when it comes to reviewing art. :P
Ah, confession. I had to look up what genus and species a Coelophysis was.
I like just how defined Crim is. The height of the image makes it clear just how tall Crim is, and having Crim take up most of the center gives them a booming edge to the image. Having stand tall and bite a snake? in their mouth makes it clear that they're not to be trifled with.
My only critique is that I'm not actually sure when the foreground is. We still Crim standing on a small outcropping, but the lack of any parallax landmarks in the background make it unclear as to where they are. A mountain range, a hill in the desert, etc? Since the sides of the picture weren't as utilized, perhaps they could be used to define the setting?
And perhaps fittingly, Crim is complimented with a crimson dusk backdrop. Hahaha, I see what you did there. :thinking
You have been posting a lot of drawings lately and I’m very glad you have interest and time to do so, as more art is always welcome on the forum. First of all, the background in this once again works out perfectly and I’d also add that it might very may be the best one so far from your drawings, and not by a small margin. The high-quality detail in this not only in the figure itself, but on the surrounding terrain is very elegantly done. The scars on Crim portray a conflict of some sorts, and while it may not be as unpleasant as what Nimble had to go through, it does add some special features not only for the character’s appearance, but for their personality and such, which is something I have always found quite interesting, if you didn’t already pick up on that detail. I imagine that he/she is standing on a plateau of some sorts, and the posture of the character heavily points out about their ability to survive harsh circumstances. The eyes once again made me feel particularly fond of the picture, as with the first one you posted recently, it conveys the special message hidden in the big picture. For constructive criticism I have to talk about the character’s overall appearance in some parts again. I know this may start to sound heavily repetitive, but the pattern in its entirety looks a bit awkward, to speak the truth and the tail is quite prominent of low quality. Like I have said, investing more time to these small matters can significantly improve the overall quality of the drawing. If I come across as too nitpicky, then I hope you can forgive me as that is definitely not my intention at all. To end this feedback, I have to ask of you, do you simply have these already done and saved somewhere, as I find it somewhat hard to believe you would be this fast in making these drawings, but if that is so, then I have nothing but respect for your skills. I hope we can see more art from you soon as I very much enjoy viewing them myself. Thank you for sharing this with us, jassy! ;)
These are two very nice pictures indeed! Blue has a pretty funny expression and the colors, as always in your stuff, looks great. I'm also extremely happy to see you finally draw canon characters as well and the shot you chose is a rather sweet one. It has great amounts of emotion and you've executed it very satisfyingly. Especially the look on Chomper's face is a great one but even then, his head seems a bit too large. Likewise, Littlefoot's face looks weird somehow but other than that, good job! It'd be nice to see even more canon drawings from you. :)
@jassy: Do you have any drawings of Blue, Indigo, and Misty all together? Also, is Misty the youngest of the three?
Unfortunately I do not at the moment, although I do have a picture of Blue and Indigo in the works :Mo and Misty is a longneck so i’m not sure she’d spend much time around two biters but I’d say she’s roughly Indigo’s age, maybe a bit older!
How much time do you spend per day with each drawing? The level of detail with the character and background is always splendid and on point with only minor flaws here and there.

Oh, seems I misread your earlier post. For some reason I thought Misty was siblings with Blue and Indigo. So it's just Blue and Indigo that are related then?
Oh what the heck I missed your Shorty drawing!? Well it looks good!
For the Mila drawings it looks like you smoothed the shading on it for the new drawing. Also looks like its eye is a lot more intense. Looks like the feathers have changed colour? (though that might be because of the change of lighting between the drawings). Personally I think I like the cooler grey background with the mountains in the first drawing over the sunset but both of them are great! :)littlefoot
Good to see you drawing some more art! :chompysmile
You really have a talent Jassy! Do you paint with computer program or is it combo of computer and sketch?
Hey, I've been anticipating new art from you, Jassy. What a wonderful surprise this was. I can't say I'm that up-to-date with the character, though. It has been quite a while since I read your fanfic and I personally do not recall ever reading about this particular character. Never mind that, she (it's a girl, isn't it? :p) looks wonderful in both drawings, although I actually prefer the older version, the new one looks quite nice with the intense color and background change. The water looks also more detailed in the newer version, which I quite like. The shading on it is just amazingly detailed as well. You did well on both, Jassy. I'd love to see more from you! :)
I may have asked this already, but have you considered doing this for a living? I feel like you would do well in that department from the quality of your drawings. :D
Love the background on old picture much better, but dino became better with time. :)
Nice!
I love the Littlefoot and Chomper piece. You really captire the perspnalities of both LBT characters and non-LBT dinosaurs; you can easily discern what the animal is thinking, feeling, and what it intends. As for your latest piece, I prefer it to the older one. Is the species Troodon?
Baryonyx was my first guess, always stick to a first guess! :)
You do this all via Apple?! That is incredible.
Do you take requests?
Mmm...great art again jassy. Comparing your first drawing with your second one, I see noticeable improvements such as smoother lines and an overall cleaner appearance. As Flathead770 already stated, the eye does look more intense, more vicious in nature. Although, there are some aspects I prefer on the older picture over the newer one. For one, the shading on the former makes Mila appear more muscular, therefore much more appealing to me. The feathers are overall cooler to me as well, although that may be just a matter of color preference. Others have expressed that the background in the first picture is better, and I agree to a certain extent. While I think the second background by itself was drawn and shaded in finer, the first one just complements the palette of the dinosaur greatly.
You only started on Misty last night!? Dang, I wonder how you do this. :olittlefoot
It's still far from the caliber of two previous drawings, but it's a great work in progress.
Overall, awesome job! :chompysmile
Great job with both drawings, Jassy. It's always nice to see art about your story and you certainly are able to give the characters more feeling. Keep it up! :)littlefoot
Lovely pic of Mo. :Mo
Offtopic, I like how Mo is almost always drawn in the same pose and same undersea aquatic background based on most pics I see. It really amplifies his colorful body and juxtaposes his body with the surroundings. Colors are great, and I like the jellyfish.

Now that you mention it, this drawing and many others I’ve seen on Google Images have many uncanny similarities to each other. While they’re all so lovely and majestic to gaze my eyes upon, I can’t help but be slightly bummed by the lack of variety and originality. No, it doesn’t take away my love for this drawing in the slightest if you’re wondering.
This looks very similar to what I once saw in DeviantArt, although I think by a different artist. LBT artists seem to draw inspiration from each other. Moving on to the topic, the drawing looks quite elegant which reflects your style that is by now quite familiar. The grey coloration goes rather well with the background, while the posture is mostly reminiscent of your other drawings. You could make the picture look a bit more spontaneous and pretentious with different patterns and character poses. But whatever works best for you. Once again, the best constructive feedback I can offer is that the snout is perhaps a tad bit steep once more, and in a way, makes the picture look a bit unusual. Since that seems to be your preferred style, I wouldn't want to incriminate you based on that. Great drawing, jassy. :)
Also, are we back to daily updates on your drawings? :p
Nothing much to say, really like your artstyle and lighting. The light blue background juxtaposes nicely with the gray. I guess one small thing is that while blurred backgrounds is your preferred style, the sharptooth stepping on a blurred rock kinda breaks immersion a little? Maybe if the rock wasn't blurred it would give a sense of depth to the image? But nice work nevertheless, I think Chomper would be very happy.
Chomplene? Chompette? Spin(e)della? :)

thanks Anagnos! :smile Yeah, I agree that I definitely need to try different poses but dinos aren’t always the easiest to draw for me, so I tend to stick to one pose.

Haha, the last one is definitely fitting. thanks for the suggestions!
Still keeping up with my usual pace of drawing so far. Hopefully it stays that way Here’s a Nimble I started yesterday and just finished. For some reason I never draw her being happy, wonder what’s up with that :PCera her leg didn’t turn out quite the way I wanted, but oh well. Hope you guys like it!

Though her leg looks very disporoportional.
I think Sneak is in love. :bestsharptooth

thanks Flathead! Yeah, I’d say that about sums it up. I tried fixing it but just gave up in the end :PCera
Today’s drawing is my take on an adult Chomper :chompysmile He’d probably be around his late teens here. Isn’t he cute? :bestsharptooth
(https://i.imgur.com/EFyVufI.png)!
I think when he’s an adult he might be grey with purple or blue stripes, exactly like you’ve done here.
what? Our little Chomper? What did Rainbowfaces do with you? :O
Nice, as always. :)
I definitelly love this pandemia of new drawings!
Oh very nice Chomper! I wonder who he's looking at? :thinking Maybe eyeing down a certain longneck with hungry eyes? :olittlefoot
Great job with this Jassy! :chompysmile
She’s a Deinonychus :smile
Either Nimble is sad or angry 24/7. Could she have one day where everything doesn't go to crap in her life? Or is that her character in the flesh? :p
Wait... she appears to look at her own leg in contempt... or hunger. Don't tell me she is ready to cannibalize herself to stay alive? :opetrie Regardless of her possible suicidal thoughts, she looks rather good here. I imagine she is currently laying on a rock, bathing in the sun. The Bright Circle should make things a little brighter for her. :chompysmile
I concur with Anagnos, we need a happy Nimble. Especially in times likes these.

Maybe! You’d have to read ATS (which I really have to pick up and start writing for again, so far she’s still pretty miserable) :PCera and sure! There’s only five chapters so far, but they’re pretty long, especially the most recent one :sducky Here you go!

Ahhh, I finally managed to draw something worth posting!! This is my shot at redesigning my rainbow face OCs. It took me two days of boood, sweat and tears, but I think it was worth it. Since the actual picture is too big to post on here and I need to sleep, I’ll just link it for now and try re-uploading an appropriately sized version in the morning because I’m tired. :p

Great work again Jazzy. I like seeing multiple Deinonychuses at once.

Um... I believe jassy explicitly said that those are Nimble's sisters. We don't need LBT to have incest, now do we? :wow Anyway, love the picture. I can see this new art style will be quite good already. :)
But the skin tone is different, with Nimble being bright grey and the others dark grey. Often in Dinosaur cartoons, males and females have different colors or skin tones.

Okay, so I guess I can still keep up with my usual pace of a drawing per day :PAli here’s today’s, featuring Blue and Nimble! I’ve been meaning to draw them together, and this was the result. I think they make quite the pair :PCera I had a lot of fun with this one!

I'm all for taking more time for better quality art, and I think it shows with these ones. I really like the one of Nimble and her sisters!

Judging by the look in her eyes, it’s probably the other thing :bestsharptooth
Everyone beat my sleeping self to it, but that's genuinely a great pose and the whimsical background colors really adds to it!
The timing on these drawings is almost never in my favor, as you mostly release the new one right after I've checked out for the night. No matter that, the drawing is once again quite lovely and the more distinct lines make it easier to uphold. The background colorization is nothing new, but it works every time quite nicely.
But what is Nimble's hand doing on Blue's backside? Maybe love is in the air, after all. :chompysmile

Yet again, I missed being the first one to review the next picture in line. I may have to soon start to consider staying up a little longer to lessen this burden of feedback. :bestsharptooth
Well, I could just say all of the things again and again that I've uttered in every drawing you post, but we're going to do something little different today. This time, we have Nimble and Indigo in the spotlight, and first I have to say that I thought that was Blue at first, but after a closer look I can see the difference. But, let me just say that the detail you put into Indigo is absolutely breathtaking. This is what I wish to see from you, as every little detail is perfect.
And Nimble... please try to make up your mind when it comes to love. You can't play all of them. Sooner or later you will have to decide. :PCera

How about drawing big LBT canon characters picture or movie poster, Jassy?
I would love to see that!
I'd like to comment on all of these individually but there are simply too many and too much small talk inbetween the pictures so I'll just say I'm really liking your most recent fanart dump :DD
(especially Mo looks really great :) )
^Like Ducky123 above, I'm behind on reviewing all of your recent drawings jassy. While all of them are amazing, it's too much for me to keep up with! :lol
And for your transition into that new art style, I like it! It seems much more clean and vibrant, an improvement in my eyes. Great job!
:chompysmile
Hmm...Nimble and Indigo + Nimble and Blue. They're just sisters, right? Finally, Nimble looks happy in your drawings for once. :)
I seriously don’t know how I draw this fast, but oh wellMust be from all those Fast Biters you draw :PCera

Anyways, that's a very nice drawing Jassy! I think a small nitpick from me would be where her leg is above her tail, making it seem like her tail appears to be a little flat? Might make more sense if her tail was wrapped up around her leg as well. Awesome job though! :)littlefoot
aaaawwwwwwwwwwwwwww
:3
They are very adorable :MoHow you manage to draw this fast, I have no idea, but it must have something to do with the recent situation worldwide. I'm really impressed! ;)
Yes, we finally got to see happy Nimble, and it was worth the wait. Her expression tells it all; she is very glad to be alive and nothing could be wrong in the world. I assume the other one is one of her children? The tranquil environment here is quite nicely played out. But like you said, since she's happy here, that'll mean there will be even more tragic events for her to tackle. :(
Brillant as usual Jazzy! I love how vibrant the pinks are in this piece.
Oh, I really like this! I think choice of dusk/gloam for a reddish-pinkish background choice is great here - it really accentuates Rinkus' color scheme. The gloss/lighting on the two flyers is also very well done, as well as the pose, it shows a bond between them even without words. Very nice! :Mo
Ah so now you know the curse that is Ducky's head! :PCera
You did a pretty good job though! It's just something that requires a lot of practice to finally get it to look right (and even with drawing her multiple times most people say that she doesn't look right haha)
I like the light background colours along with the messy white border. Makes it look like it's from a story book.
Brillant Ducky Jazzy! You captured her personality! Honestly she looks like an offical animator from Universal Studios made her! Congrats Jazzy! Your talent is going to take you far. :)
Edit: Are you going to enter this in the Fan Art prompt @jazzy?
This looks wonderful, Jassy! :duckyhappy Ducky's pose and facial expression are adorable, and I know how from my own experience how hard she can be to draw! Excellent job on the shading and background, too!
Beautiful perfect drawing!
Ah, a feathered friend. :p
You're good with colors and shading, so the colors an apprehensive pose (twiddling fingers, ha!) look great. He does seem a little skinny, though, but maybe it's just me - his width is a little inconsistent in the series too. :)
I should really draw Ruby more often. It's a doodle so quality doesn't matter all too much. That being said they still look pretty good! I like messing around with expressions like this every now and then. Nice!
Nice sketch of our lovely philoso(ovie)raptor Ruby. :thinking
These look fantastic, Jassy! Ruby fanart is pretty rare, and you captured her expressions so well! She looks very thoughtful! :RubyCurious
Do you have any other LBT doodles laying about? :)
Rinkus looks so uncertain, got that face down in the lineart for sure. :petrie
Perchance did you reuse these for your Rinkus and Sierra showcase drawing (https://www.gangoffive.net/index.php?topic=16033.msg512877#msg512877)? :RubyCurious
Nice sketch! :D
Stardisk! You revealed Pterano's true plan: Building communism in Valley!
And another amazing piece by Jassy. Seriously, you need to give "Draw LBT with just your fingertip" classes to us all at some point :ChomperPOG
Beautiful work!!!
Shorty looks impressive here.

I straight up stared at this commission for ten minutes straight. What a breathtaking sight to behold... probably the most unique and dynamic trio anyone has ever witnessed. :P
I was super duper very excited to find out from Owls just days ago that this was the surprise he was planning for all of us, and I couldn’t be happier with the final result. The eye contact with all of us really further ties in this visualization of friendship between us, and the hand wave from Guido was a small addition I adore a lot too.
Hmm... the (mis)adventures of the Mu-u-u-dd Brothers anyone? :cerasmug :MoEvil
But any who, this is a drawing I will cherish forever in my life, and I’m sure Owls and Stardust would definitely agree with me on that. Thank you so much jassy for bestowing this commission upon us, and thank you Owls for making this entire drawing in the first place possible. I appreciate this so, so much. And of course, thank you Stardust for the everlasting friendship that I have the honor of sharing with you. And on that note, let me say to both of you...
Mu-u-u-u-d Brothers Forever! <3
Niiiiiice Jassy! :D For a second I thought the bottom two were underwater but then I realized it was not bubbles coming out of Cera's mouth, but Mo making a splash, haha! keep up the amazing work!
Wow,so many characters in one drawng! ^^
Awesome work!!!
I always thought this scene was super cute! :chompysmileIn my opinion your redraw looks even cuter! :chomper

It's that time of year when I can't keep up on commenting on Jassy's fanart again :bestsharptooth
Great job on both of these! :chompysmile
Don't forget about the newest prompt as well if you're getting back into drawing :rhett_smile
:D
Nice one!
Hmm he doesn't seem to be enjoying himself while playing though. Does that normally happen with the Animal Crossing grind? :bestsharptooth
Nice job with this!

been a while since I updated this thread, don’t really have much to post except for this very rough and messy sketch of a character from my fic who has yet to appear, so her identity shall stay hidden for now. :MoEvil Again, I know it’s not much to look at but this was really mostly just a test to see if I still remembered how to draw dinosaurs. Spoiler: I do not :PLoofah
