3 years and I still can talk about it. Don't ask me why but I just can

I'm really sorry to hear that. You have my greatest sympathy Wayne.
My grandpa died on October 11th 2001. It was very unexpected as he was perfectly healthy. The worst thing was that he died all of a sudden while he was on holidays with my grandma. So she was all alone for a whole day until she could get home.

It always sad to lose someone... not all can talk about it, some can't even face to talk about it because it too heartbreaking.
I think we all lost someone in our familys that is important.

I'm sorry to hear that Wayne. I've known the feeling; I lost my grandpa in September of 2002 so I was hurting then a lot. :( Actually I still do at times.

I lost a grand parent on mums and dads side of the family. (my nan on mum's side around 1989 - 1990) and (my grandad on dad's side of the family around 1991 died of the same thing My dad died off).

Wow, you've sure lost a lot of loved ones....I find it very hard for me to lose someone I've known for a long time. :(

Well, this doesn't qualify, but I think I'm about to lose someone, my Grandma. She's really got almost nothing left, literary, after combatting Parkinson's for so long. And what's worse, I'm related. :o

I lost my grandma's sister.. I liked her a lot, I spent days in her house when I was kid.. she died I was 8 or something.. \:

Then I will experience something similar to your pain when it happens. I'm not looking forward to it.

Everyone will lose someone in time, there is no way around it. How hard it can be it part of the great circle of life we live in.

My Grandmother hardly knows what's going on anymore. There are some things I want to apologise to her about, but I know my apologies will go unheeded, as her mind is scattered.

That's tragic news... my deepest sympathies to those who have lost someone dear to them... I cant say I've really lost someone close to me but I have my concerns for a few of my family members. My grandmother on my mum's side is getting on a bit (I was talking to my Mum about it last week) and we both fear she will be leaving us soon... Even my grandma thinks she is doomed to die alone but we've been telling her that we'll always be there for her. Similarly, my grandfather on my dad's side is a dangerously overkiller on alcohol! He's already suffered a heart attack a few years ago but everytime I see him, he's in the same chair with a stiff drink in one hand and the TV remote in the other... I love both my grandparents but Im dreading the day I get the phone call that the inevitable has happened whilst Im away from home... My stepmother's already lost her father and brother (one to cancer and the other to heart problems)...it took her a while to get over it but she's done well. As have all of you who have been unfortunate enough to lose someone dear...it must take a hell of a lot of strength and courage

Bad news from the UK... around 5:30am in the morning GMT time. On sunday morning a train crashed into a car stopped on the crossing. It been told the driver sat there in the car doing nothing as the train came in 100mph hitting the car.
The train derailed and 7 ppl died... the traindriver did as well. (includes the driver of the car).
75 hurt and 10 badly hurt.
...A day of sadness...

They believe it was a sudicide... this person took 6 lives with him and hurt lots because he wanted to die in his car being hit by a train... a sad case indeed...

I don't get why some people have to take some lives with them when they decide to kill themselves. I would, at least, have the decency and courtesy to kill myself in a way that no one else gets harmed like that. Not that I'm suicidal at all, I'm just using an example. I'm not suicidal, in case anyone starts wondering.

I get what you mean and the clear up operation is going to take about 2 days...

It is terrible if people decide to take their own live! Even more terrible if they are ruthless enough to take other people with them. And even if somebody just jumped in front of a train (thus killing only himself) I wonder if they ever thought about what a psychological harm it does to the poor driver of the train.

What a selfish low-life! Im sorry but its bad enough he decided to take his own life but that act was NOT suicide...that is cold-blooded MURDER! He parked his car on the tracks with the intention to cause death! Not only to end his life but those who were riding in the train. Apparently, two young girls (one of 8 and the other 15) where amongst the casualties of that dispicable display of cowardous and selfishness! What in the world drives people like that to take such actions that endanger others?! I have very little tolerance for people who think that death is the only answer to a problem...
