After having led Blossom to water, Kel and the young fast runner drank their fill. That's when Blossom began to complain of hunger and with a sigh Kel started to look for something to eat. The two waded through the freshwater creek and toward a cluster of green shrubbery.

Kel: "What would you say to a couple of treesweets, Blossom?"

Blossom: "Well I wouldn't say no."

As they got closer, Kel could definitely pick up the scent of the tasty treats. Emerging onto the creek bank, Blossom ran over toward the giant tree with the fruit hanging down from it.

Name: Kel the Onehorn
Bio: Was separated from her herd in the great earth shake, so had to head for the Great Valley on her own. That's when she ran into a family of Fast Runners. They claimed they knew where the valley was and were headed that way, so Kel fell into line to get where she was going. She stayed quiet, knowing that she was only a guest, but they treated her as family almost since when they were face-to-face with Sharpteeth, she was usually the one to fight them off. But one day, as Kel fought a bigger Sharptooth and the family of Fast Runners tried to flee off to safety, they ran into an ambush of fast biters! The mother and father Fast Runner's sent their daughter back to Kel, where it was safer, as they tried to hold off the Fast Biters as long as possible. Blossom, the daughter, ran back to tell Kel who had just sent the Sharptooth running home to his nest what had happened. They never saw Blossom's parents again.

So Kel adopted Blossom and the two are still headed for the Great Valley. After the incident, Kel is still her same, reserved self. However, she's know a bit more wary of Blossom's whereabouts.

Name: Blossom the Fast Runner
Bio: She was young when she lost her parents, and has been with Kel ever since. She loves adventure, but just can't shake the image of Kel telling her that if she's not careful she could end up seriously hurt out of her mind. This causes her to double think things most of the time. She small in size and sorta young in age, but nothing can measure the size of her heart.

Name: Mr. Whistler the Whistling Swimmer
Bio: Mr. Whistler has been a resident of the Great Valley just as long as the some of the more well-known grown-ups, like Grandpa and Grandma Longneck. He can usually be found around a swimming hole. He's not one to openly through his opinion out there, but once you get him started there's no turning him off. More than likely, you can see him on the side of Mr. Threehorn, as the two seem to share the same life mottos;"if it's not broke, don't fix it" and "anything that's different is dangerous."

Name: Missy, May, and Monty the Longnecks
Bio: Monty is an older Longneck, and though they do get wiser as they grow in age, Monty seems to be a just a little too weathered. He has his moments where he's very insightful, but most of the times his daughter and granddaughter have to keep an eye on him due to his deleria. He doesn't mind the company of grown-ups or children, usually helping the kids in their crazy adventures.

His daughter, Missy, is more down to earth than her elderly father. She looks out for her daughter, her father, herself, and the other members of the Great Valley. She looks up to Grandma Longneck, who could be presumed to be the First Lady of the Great Valley. She's all for teamwork and peaceful solutions.

The baby of the family, May, doesn't take after her mom almost at all. She just wants to be a regular kid, and that means breaking rules and leaving the Great Valley on occasion.

Name: Big Mouth the Sharptooth
Bio: Big Mouth is a revered Sharptooth and a proud inhabitant of the mysterious beyond. He got his name and fame thanks to his incredibly loud roar, which can even be heard way in the Great Valley sometimes. The roar is known to wake young hatchlings from their sleep stories in tears.

All of the children would be separated from the grown-ups and forced to either go it alone or work together with other kids.

Well sure. You, the Pterano lover, could have him. No problem with me. And, you could have whoever else you want, too.

And yeah! This could be a great way to develop the backgrounds of some of our OCs. Wouldn't you all think so?

And I thought that maybe it could focus on all? Do you think that'd be a problem, Kor?

Hi, all. :)

This is just an open discussion for a RPG idea I had. Criticism, ideas, suggestions, any general interest: post them here and let them be known.

The idea I had was to take us back to the very first Land Before Time movie (which would call for this to be Strict-LBT). And it would be re-edited to include our own personal touches, however still following the same basis as the first episode AND the movie dealing with the Stone of Cold Fire. The plot would roughly go like this:

- Herds stick to themselves.
- There is a great Earthshake which separates families and herds.
- Children have to travel alone.
- Grown-up's must make it to the valley working together.

This RPG would allow for Pterano to make an appearance, and he would behave just like in the flashback that Grandpa Longneck had. Pterano would (or could) even lead off a group of unsuspecting dinosaurs to their doom.

The idea is to allow for people's OC's to be used, while still allowing Canon's to be used. And if a few people have Sharpteeth characters they want to utilize, they're more than welcome. :)

So once again, thoughts?

Meanwhile, while all of the usual Valley inhabitants are talking amongst themselves in their temporary setting, a couple of new faces walk through the parched barren desert. A green One-Horn and a young, pink Fast-Runner are seen trudging through the unfavorable conditions. The adult dinosaur seems tired, but persistent; however, the child is not so lively. She falls over the hind legs of the larger companion, complaining. "Kel, I'm so tired! When are we going to get there? We've been walking around for ages!"

"I know, I know. But Blossom you have to understand that it takes patience; if it's taking us this long to get to the Great Valley then it's got to be worth it, right?"

"I guess. Well what are we going to do about tonight? We can't sleep out here. I'll just die! I'm certain I will."

"Don't worry, we're not going to. Now I know I smelled water not too long ago. C'mon, let's head this way. Where there's water there's bound to be some green food. We can spend the night there." Kel slightly changed course, now heading due Northwest. Blossom moaned out in exhaustion before following closely under the shade of Kel's tail.

It's not too late to join, is it? Cause I've got an idea for a couple of OCs and I really like the concept of this rpg. :)

Yeah, Kor, sorta! I was thinking that this would allow more swimmer OC's to shine, for people to play swimming sharpteeth, and maybe even that thing that was in number 5 (that strangely reminds me of the lochness monster lol).

Sorry for the double post, but I had another idea.

How about this: everyone's in the valley, and then a few more watering places show up. nobody thinks nothing of it, until more and more show up. but when the waters get to the point where nests are swept away and families are forced to move to higher ground, everyone knows something is wrong. food becomes hard to find, they constantly have to travel to ensure they won't be swept away in their sleep (not everyone as a group, but any family/herd who feels the need), and then the problem isn't resolved until a few of the kids (and some grownups looking for the kids) go into the Mysterious Beyond.

Idk, I know it sounds A LOT like number 3, but with a different rising action and spark-off. Thoughts?

I think there was a heavy storm and it caused a mud/rockslide. But then, that would make the plotline basically a remake of 2.

Well an entire herd would be able to move a small section, don't you think? I'm not to sure, which is why I ask you all.

But yeah, option C is my favorite too. And I could understand how the summer would make it harder to do the story.

Since this place has been experiencing a drought for a while now, does anyone have any ideas for a fresh new RPG to help bring it back to life? I've got a few ideas, but they're not all that great. Anyone willing to edit/contribute to them to make them something that we could all work with, that'd be great.

A - A Great Valley Fire that forces the herds to leave the Valley for a short time, and the grownups have conflicting ideas on where to go, which causes a split up in the gang of five.

B - A remake of the fifth movie.

C - A herd of hardened planteaters from the Mysterious Beyond break through the Great Wall and try to lead new lives in the Great Valley, but forget to close the hole they created back up, allowing unwanted visitors into the valley as well.
