This is the first RP I decided to make, and I decided to wait until school was over, when I would actually have to time to do it.
Back-story: This RP is based on the theory about the Rainbowfaces from LBT 7 that I came up with over a year ago. Basically, they were not extraterrestrials, but rather the descendants of a global civilization that had long ago left the planet. Long ago, they lived like all the other kinds of dinosaurs, but their high intelligence allowed them to create civilization; eventually reaching a point where it resembled the modern human world, except in place of humans are the Rainbowface species. After a series of catastrophes, nearly all of them left the planet forever in spaceships (some chose to stay behind and go back to the wild). The events of LBT take place 10,000 years after this event, allowing plenty of time for most traces of such development to disappear.
For this RP, the plot starts with the two Rainbowfaces from LBT 7 coming back to the planet for a routine observation. The gang wanders into the Mysterious Beyond and meet up with them. However, when they all go back to the Great Valley, they find, not the valley they all knew, but a city; a city that had vanished thousands of years ago (think of it as an average modern American city). From there, things get even stranger. From what the people in the city see, it seems that all traces of civilization outside of the city had completely disappeared, leaving them on their own. After a few days of struggling to keep the city alive, it is revealed that the entire planet has somehow turned into a patchwork of time periods. Existing on the planet at the same time are: a Spanish colony in the new world, the heart of the Roman Empire at its height, and World War Two Germany, just to name the examples I've come up with. How is this strange new planet going to live on?
A few more things. Since this civilization is not human, the names for places will be different from what we're familiar with (example: America is not called 'America' but a different name (I haven't come up with one yet)). Also, the land on the planet is not the super-continent of Pangaea, but the continents as they were 66 million years ago. (That's right, 66 million years ago. I have no intention of bringing the asteroid of doom anytime soon.)

As you can see, there's still a lot of work to do. I don't even have names for the two Rainbowfaces, which is something I'd really like for this RP. Please let me know what you think of this idea, and feel free to give me any ideas you may have for improving this RP.
Edit: One thing I forgot to mention, I originally planned to use this idea in a fanfic, but there were two reasons why I chose to do an RP instead: 1, I'm currently too busy with my other fanfic to start writing another. 2, the way I planned it left the gang with very little activity and I didn't want them excluded like that.

Description
He is a Saurolophus like Ducky.
He has a darkblue stripe on his underside than above this stripe follows a black one and on the back he has a light blue stripe (maybe I will post a picture here soon too.
Story:
He lost his parents during an earthshake. For very much years he was going along to different places in the world. He had to fight against many sharpteeth (he has a red scar on his right shoulder. One day he fight against a sharptooth and the character of Chiletrek (Cayso) came to help him. But just because this sharptooth has stolen him a meal one day. Now they are good friends and are travelling together.
personality: Brave (if he must be), a bit shy and friendly (helpfull)

It does seem interesting and different. What about the inhabitants of the Great Valley, are they gone, or are they around also?
I'll think about who I want to play and post that later, including any of my oc's or any fc's.

Yes, the Great Valley inhabitants will be gone, but it's more like "they don't exist yet" rather than "they all died". This is why I'm having the gang wander into the Mysterious Beyond before the strange moment that creates the patchwork planet (I got the idea for such an event from a book I read last summer). Therefore, if you want your character(s) to be in more than just the first scene of the RP, they will have to come or be in the Mysterious Beyond with the gang at that moment.

Not sure if some of my oc's would fit like Mim who is a rainbowface. I guess any of my others would, including Diver, one of Ducky's twin sisters, But Deon may not, the young fastbiter char of mine.

Species: Rex is a Tyrannosaurus -Rex- like Chomper, he is black and he has one red stripe that starts from the top of his head that leads down all the way to his tail, he has red eyes also
Story: Rex has been wandering the Mysterious beyond looking for a new home, because his original home was destroyed in a storm. He has met some kind leaf eaters along the way although they didn't fully trust him, he ate shellfish, small lizards and bugs to satisfy his hunger instead of eating other dinosaurs.

I think the only requirement I'm giving for OCs at this time is that they can't be an adult. Sorry, Kor, but I think I would prefer Diver (I've heard of her as your OC, but I don't quite have enough info for me to add her to the list).

For the names maybe you can do like lbt often does and look at the species name to get ideas for names. Gallimimus
That is where I got the idea for my female rainbowface char, Mim. Though she isn't allowed in this one. Maybe if you look at the species name you may get some ideas.

Alright, I've finally decided on the names of the two Rainbowfaces. I'll put those names one the list. (Since they are still considered a part of a civilization (even though it's in space), I decided to give them English names.)
Also, I still need someone to play Ducky and Spike before we can start.

If no one else wants to and if that is all that is holding up the rp I can temp 1 or both of them till someone else wants to do them. Though I'm sure someone else may want to rp both of them. Maybe since Spike doesn't talk and Ducky understands him best whoever does rp Ducky may get to do Spike too if they want. Just a few ideas I had.

So then how exactly is the patchwork planet going to come into existance? Does the gang somehow end up going back in time to when the Rainbow face cities still existed?

The idea is based on a book I read last summer. Think of it like this: a random piece of the Earth's surface is removed, and this is repeated on many time periods. Then, in an alternate universe, all of the pieces are reassembled to recreate the Earth. The pieces still fit together perfectly, even though they come from many different time periods. Some adjacent pieces could have a difference as little as a few days or as much as a few thousand years. All of this happens instantaneously, so anyone on those pieces don't notice anything happening, and, at first, will not notice anything had happened. How, why, and by whom this is done will remain a mystery (at least, until the end of the story).

I just want to remind everyone participating. The gang (and all OCs you're playing) are going to cross paths and meet up with the two Rainbowfaces in the Mysterious Beyond. The two Rainbowfaces are on their way to the Great Valley, but they meet up with the gang before they could get there, and (as I've already told you) by the time they finally get there, the valley is replaced by a city.

I have a reason for Ducky & Diver to go outside the Great Valley, as silly as it is. And I didn't make up Deon on the spot, it is an actual part of Diver and her friend's backgrounds. I can put up the link if you want to see. Though whether they meet Deon or not isn't important, it gives them (Diver, Ducky & Spike) a reason to go outside the Great Valley.

well, I made a post before for grandpa longneck because I didn¥t see anyone playing him. Hope that¥s ok. And..., well, why would one character more or less make such a difference? I think it should be ok that invaderbecky is bringing in at least Nelly, her OC. But it¥s up to you ;-)

There are other rp's you can try for if you want. Some have had not enough players to get started. What sorts of rp's do you like? Also pure lbt only, don't mind lbt crossing over with certain other things? Non lbt rp also? Maybe some here can pm suggestions to you or in another thread.

I don't want to rush anyone, but until the gang meets up with the Rainbowfaces in the Mysterious Beyond, I'm afraid there is little I can do in the RP. It's just the way I had it planned out, I'm afraid. Once the gang have met up with the Raibowfaces, then I can start becoming more active.

I can have my chars go out to meet my oc friendly fastbiter kid Deon. That will get some of the chars out, if the others dont do anything I may have mine do that, though I dislike double posting.
No need for Deon to appear, or if he does maybe be just a cameo or 1 scene. No biggie however it goes with Deon. Maybe something happens before they meet Deon. Unless the others want to go with the idea,which the gang has done before, of exploring some caves and they wind up outside the great valley.

As you all may know, we have just reached the part where the gang have just returned to the Great Valley to see a city in it's place instead. This does not mean I'm accepting new characters just yet. First, I'll need to better describe not only the situation that the gang now faces, but also the situation the citizens of that city now face. When I say so, then I'll allow new characters (and players too), but not right now.

Just letting everyone know that we're getting close to the part when I can start accepting new characters and players, but we're not quite there yet. If you must know, that time will be when the the indoor group is finished speaking with the mayor. At the moment, the indoor group is on their way to the mayor's office, so we're getting close.
Oh, and metadude1234 said that he decided to leave this RP, so I'll go remove his character from the list.

I'm sorry for not being so active in this RP. I've just been too busy with other things. I think I'll put this RP on hold for about a month so I can focus my attention on more important things.

I've just decided to cancel my plan of putting this RP on hold. Now that it seems some people I haven't seen so often are coming back, I think I can find some time tomorrow to add another post or two.
Just to remind you all where everyone is, the two Rainbowfaces (Steven and Elizabeth), along with Littlefoot, Cera, Ducky, Petrie, Spike, Chomper, and Ruby, are now heading to the mayor's office to speak with the mayor of the city. Everyone else is waiting outside the building in the parking lot behind the building.

& the ones outside are I think playing the say what the sky puffies look like. Though I can imagine at least some, if not most, of the characters will start go get bored with that and want to do something else fun.

Just so everyone knows, we're still at the same place where we were back in April. Now that I have more free time available, I think it's time to continue. I'll add another post sometime soon and, hopefully, we will soon reach the beginning of the next part, when I can allow new characters in and new players to join.

I've been thinking about this, and I've decided to cancel this RP. Based on what I've seen, it just isn't popular, never was, never will. It's already been a year since it started and at that rate, it could literally take a decade to finish. Also, due to the fact that I'll be going to college soon, I don't know if I can dedicate my time to more than one RP. Besides, I've been losing interest in this RP for months now. Just thought I'd let you guys know about this.

My comments, it was an interesting idea. Maybe a few years from now I'll write a fanfic based on this idea, but it's clear to me that it just won't work for an RP, unless if it had enough interest from enough people, which it didn't.

Ultimately, there were too few people.. and I don't think you ever got the characters that were outside, to come in, that would have helped my participation since ali and shorty were my characters and they were stuck outside..

Okay, I've taken more time to think about this and here's my official announcement. This RP is canceled, there will be no reboot in the foreseeable future, and since it's taking me way to long to make any progress on writing a summary of the events I've planned, I will be unable to tell anyone how it would have gone. Sorry I have to go back on my promise, but it's just too much to ask for. (Heck, I think I'm actually wasting more time writing that summary than actually continuing the RP.) Now that I'm in college, I have much less free time available, and I've just started writing my next fanfic. I would prefer to spend what little free time I have writing my fanfic than continuing a very slow RP. Maybe a few years from now (no exaggeration) I might be interested in rebooting this RP, but for now, I just don't have the time to focus on it anymore.
