My dad mentioned that a woman he works with saw the movie. According to her, the only really scary part was at the very last minute or seconds of the movie and that people in the theatre were laughing because of how boring the movie was.
Well the last thirty minutes are definitely the scariest part of the movie, but the rest of it serves as a build up. Everything starts off as just creepy, but then the encounters become progressively worse until they become really serious. I think the build up throughout the entire movie worked very well and I was satisfied.
