Title: Desktop Monitor Making A Buzzing Noise
Post by: pokeplayer984 on December 30, 2015, 03:23:58 PM
I was watching a YouTube Video with my headphones on.  I then suddenly hear a buzzing noise.  I immediately pause the video and still hear it.  After careful listening, I find it's coming from my HP w17e computer monitor's speakers.

I have currently shut down my desktop computer and am now on my laptop.

What can I do to fix this problem?

Unplug the 3.5mm jack from both the back of the desktop and the back of the monitor, then plug it in again.  If it came partly unplugged from either the desktop or the monitor, it can make a buzzing sound.  If that doesn't fix it, then it could be the sound card.  Try plugging the monitor speakers into your laptop and see if it still makes the same sound.

^^Looks like unplugging it completely and plugging it back in did the trick.  Not making that buzzing noise anymore.  Thanks! :)
