It's the Seven Hunters continuity...but it's before the Stone of Cold Fire lands in the Valley...and Rhett "dies" - he gets up and rejoins Ali's herd while on the run...from Taunt's taunts
And the fastrunner was actually Nahoda

I can take one or two valley residents (but I don't care who so you guys take your picks), I've just decided to play Ali and I can play at least one more of the gang, maybe two if we don't find enough players to take those roles.

I'll wait to see if anyone else has any strong character preferences. Afterwards, if there's any other members of the Gang that still need to be picked, then Ruby is probably the only one that I'm not willing to play, due to my unfamiliarity with the TV show. Even though, yeah, this is a crack fic, I still sort of feel she should be given to someone who knows her better.
