Well, here goes...
Post what you think are the saddest moments in video games ever...

I'll Start.
1)Navi Leaving (LOZ: OOT)
2) Axel's Death (KH2)  "I guess this is what happens when you put your entire being into an attack.  Especially when you don't have a being..." :cry
3) The end of Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night...

Provided I was like 8, I cried at the end of Super Mario RPG: The Legend of the Seven Stars (well... teared up :p)

I don't think I've completed enough games to be sad, usually I'm too impatient to beat a game XD

the only one i can think of right now is the metroid's death in Super Metroid, that got me pretty choked up when i was younger. Other then that, i can't really think of any.

My list:

1. The end of Final Fantasy X
2. Roxas's "end" at the beginning of KHII (seriously, DyZ and Riku isolated him and gave him no other option).
3. Axel's death (also KHII)
4. A tragic scene concerning a certain flower girl in Final Fantasy VII
5. The baby Metroid's death in Super Metroid (a child saving his "mum", basically)
6. Any of the serious moments concerning the kids in Twlight Princess

I was angered to learn what happens to Sarah Kerrigan in the Starcraft storyline... but more angered than saddened

In no particular order

1) Navi's departure at the end of OoT
2) Aeris' death
3) Final Fantasy X's ending
4) Shuyin and Lenne's backstory in Final Fantasy X-2
5) Rebecca seeing one of her S.T.A.R.S. comrades as a zombie in Resident Evil 0
6) Roxas "end" and Axel's end in KH2
7) MegaMan Battle Network 3's ending

The Metroid's death in Super Metroid is the only sad moment I can think of right now, but I have never actually cried over something that happened in a video game.

Samus having to kill her comrades in Metroid Prime 3.  It was sure heartbreaking to do that. :(

That's all I can currently think of at the moment. -_-

Though it didn't make me cry, I don't think I"m capable of crying.

The end of Shinning Force.

In Megaman X, after you defeat Vile, Zero dies. But he's rebuilt in Megaman X2.

The ending in PokÈmon Mystery Dungeon... :cry2 you don't want to know...

My brother played through the game. The ending, as far as I know of, consisted of
***SPOIL***
***SPOIL***
***SPOIL***
***SPOIL***
***SPOIL***
***SPOIL***
***SPOIL***
***SPOIL***
***SPOIL***
***SPOIL***
***SPOIL***
***SPOIL***
***SPOIL***
***SPOIL***
***SPOIL***
***SPOIL***
***SPOIL***
***SPOIL***
***SPOIL***
***SPOIL***

the human choosing to stay as a PokÈmon after helping to avert the meteor disaster. It seemed like a fairly happy ending to me. Or am I missing something?

Aeris' death was the only sad moment in gaming that made me cry. In fact, I had accidentally flipped open the strategy guide in GameStop (when it was called Babbages) and landed on that page and THEN I cried XD I was quite young at the time, though.

Other moments that are sad but didn't actually make me cry? Well, I'm sure there are more but the big one is the whole "revelation" scene in Silent Hill 2. The "stair of fire" scene is also sad. I won't tell you guys why, go play it!

The apartment scene in Silent Hill 3 is pretty sad, too...

Actually, the whole series is sad XD Of course, what horror game isn't?

The Gardevoir storyline in Mystery Dungeon is quite sad.
The ending of Super Paper Mario.
The ending of E-102 Gamma's storyline in Sonic Adventure. The end of Sonic Adventure 2 is sad too.

However, perhaps the saddest ending I've ever seen was the end of the gameboy Zelda game "Link's Awakening". I always get depressed when I finish that one XD

When you had to kill Rundas in Metroid Prime 3.  You could tell Samus really had a strong feeling for him and how reluctant she was to put him out of his misery.

A side note, commenting on Cyber's post, but it seems like Rundas killed himself after you defeat him. He seems to regain control for a few moments, then raises his hand, seeming to summon the spikes of ice that impale him. Perhaps to prevent Dark Samus from retaking control?
