Oh, that's a shame. :( Might you still have the original artwork somewhere?
Yes! I'm quite certain it's in a notebook, in a box, in my closet somehwere :p
If it wouldn't be too much trouble for you to find it and scan it again at some point (along with any other LBT sketches you might have), I'd love to see it. :)

Although…you don't have access to them right now, do you? You're in Germany at the moment, right? Any interesting experiences there in the past few months?

^ I certainly will, one of these days :smile
But yes, unfortunately I am without a scanner at the moment.

As for Germany, I've been enjoying it here quite a bit! The most interesting thing I think I've done so far is go on two extremely long walks around the county of Ansbach with a couple of friends. We've explored old churches and castles, trekked through forests, crossed highways, inspected farmland, and even scaled an electrical tower(a particularly reckless decision, but I can't say I regret it).
There's just so much to see and do- it's fantastic :yes

Wow, sounds neat! :)

Actually, what I was wondering was whether you had access to the closet containing the box containing the notebook containing the pictures. :lol Is that closet located in your present dwelling, or at the address you left behind when you came to Germany?

Aaaah, the notebook itself. No, I won't have access to that 'till June :lol
But I'm certain that the months in between will see plenty more LBT related sketches out of me :yes

Great! :D

I'll just try to remind you in ten months to look for the notebook. :p And that fanfiction of yours that I was curious to see.

Can't think of another question at the moment. :confused

Awesome :smile
Ah, the fanfiction! It certainly hasn't been forgotten! It's just being re-tooled a bit, as the way in which I had initially been writing it was needlessly dry and wordy. I'm currently working on a much more enjoyable style of prose for the tale :)

Army Aviation.
Specifically as MOS 15T, which is an odd mash-up of an MOS that includes maintenance and flight crew for UH60 'BlackHawk' helicopters (though I do know of a 15T who worked on fixed-wing aircraft, like jets... apparently there's a lot of room for deviation within the position).

I have a question to you specifically which I asked all GOF members more generally in another thread. Are American newspapers offered where you are based? Are / Is there any newspaper(s) printed particularly for the soldiers at your base?

Oh wow, sorry I'm getting back to this so late! There is a newspaper printed here detailing the specific goings on of the Army in the local community and in europe as a whole, but I believe I've only read it once and can't even remember its title :oops

It's good to hear from you! I've been... busy :smile We have an aircraft in phase maintenance right now, so it's 0600 to 1800 work call for me! Plus all kinds of other random stuff to deal with. How have things been for you?

And Happy Holidays, everyone! :DD

Oh, shoot. I didn't notice this until just now. :slap My turn to apologize for not responding sooner. :oops

Well, unfortunately, this post kind of sums up how I've been doing lately. :rolleyes

Now for a question (sorry if this one's a little broad): What have you enjoyed the most about being stationed in Germany? :)

Heheh, no worries! I'm not exactly punctual this time around, either :smile

I know what you mean! Though for me it mostly stems from being all tired out after work :cry

Mostly the fact that I can step outside of the post gates and be right in the middle of a different culture. Attempting to pick up on foreign social cues is quite fascinating, and it's humbling to attempt to communicate in broken German while realizing how silly you must sound doing it :oops
Unfortunately a lot of the people here don't like us very much. I like to think I've done good things for public relations, though! (Some friends and I did manage to rescue a little girl's kitten from a rooftop while on a walk :p )

After seeing that photo of you dressed as princess Zelda, what's your favourite Zelda game?

Heheh, sorry, just now seeing this!

I would have to say my favorite Zelda game is Majora's Mask, which ironically does not feature Princess Zelda :lol

I'd forgotten about this question myself. Yes that is iconic. Though Zelda dose cameo in that flashback in Majora's mask. My favourite is Ocarina of time.

True, she does! And I like Ocarina of Time too, it's definitely a good one :smile
