Role-playing Questions

Since I seem to have a reputation as a great RP player over the past year or so, I figure it is only proper to have a thread devoted to the topic of roleplaying. Questions here are to be based on the RP settings I run (mostly Fantasy Roleplaying and Free-Form Fantasy) and on roleplaying games in general.

Are you gonna make that TV Tropes page? It's really fun to surf the site and find tropes that relate to your RP. Best yet, it bumps your Google hits way up! Google "Darwin's Soldiers" and the page for our RPs comes up!

I actually made the page on TVtropes once, but it was removed due to it being classified incorrectly. I also notice that I have spelled it "roleplaiying." Yeah, I need to get an admin to fix that. Nick can probably do it. Anyway, I'll make the page and save a copy of it, if it is removed again, so I can easily place it back when it IS classified correctly.

I will make the page in one big swoop, and add more tropes later. I have at least 50 or so in mind (such as "Big Bad" and "The Archmage.") I will probably end up making the page and not classifying it until much later.

As for me, all you need to do is google "Noguy" and I am on the very first page on DA! Same thing with "Dracons" mixed with "D&D wiki." The latter is important for people who play that game, so it gives me a higher chance of someone using them in a D&D game.

I'm making a list of tropes now. I'll put the page up when I have gathered about 100. I'm up to about 35 right now. I actually did make a page before, with only a handful of tropes, but indexed it incorrectly, so it was taken down.

I'm thinking of naming it "Dracon Lands." "Fantasy Roleplaying" is only a small part of the setting, which actually extends across multiple sites.

For the record, I started the Darwin's Soldiers page with only a single trope

. Serris and I added the rest bit by bit, until the page grew into the behemoth it is today.

I might just start it sooner then. I want to make this fairly detailed, being such a HUGE RP setting that it is (the core RP has almost 400 pages of posts!)

There is a very detailed reason, and I will get to it, eventually. Since real-life issues are eating up my time to explain it in the RP, I will say the basics of it now. Aydin had a chip installed in him a couple of years back by Dragonstorm, which he used to be a part of. He defected from them a while back for reasons I have yet to go into.

That actually fits very well into the RP, because Shelton and Aydin are currently posing as Dragonstorm representatives inspecting Trinity Facility.

Do you know when you are going to come back into the Darwin's Soldiers RP? I just ask because I've seen you on here a lot, and I've been playing as Aydin for a while now. I can fill you in via PM or the discussion thread if you want an update on what's happened in your absence

I will be able to return sometimes tomorrow, the 23rd of May. I have been busy with graduating college, and real-life issues. Fortunately, these issues have just come to a point where I will have about 2.5 months of a lot of free time, so I can come back to the RP.

And yes, a recap would be appreciated. Thanks!

Not really a question, but, for anyone who still reads this thread, I am back in the Darwin's Soldier's RP. For me, it is really kinda the "B" RP, as I run my own, much longer one, but it is still fun.

I replied in a PM to that last question. Sadly, no. I don't have the time for the "In the Land Before Time" RP right now, and I have no idea when I will. Try again by Christmas, maybe.
