Music Forum

We have forums for movies and books, why not one about music? The book one hasn't had much turn out, but it's a good addition to our thread. Anyway, just a suggestion. What do you guys think?

There are entire forums on other sites dedicated to just certain styles of music, a certain band, or other individual elements of music. I'm sure we could pull off a general discussion if there is enough support for the idea.

Please post here with your opinion: Would the Gang of Five benefit from a Music Discussion forum? My vote would be "Yes". A couple of in-depth music discussions have disappeared ino the Fridge, which can easily be restored upon the creation of a Music forum. I won't make the decision by myself though. What are everyone's thoughts on a Music forum?

I've got something better: why not blend all three sections together (movie, music, and books) into one and title it "The Arts" or soemthing like that? Or at least have one main section to access it and three subsections....just looks cleaner.

I don't think I could contribute much to a music forum but this of course is no reason to keep it out. I also second Petrie's suggestion to put music, books, and movies together, but I suggest it to be given a different name as "The Arts" is likely to cause confusion with fanart or the like. How about "The Medias corner" or the like?

I like the second idea of the sub-sections. I'd like to volunteer, I might not have a great knowledge of current music, but when it comes to 80's and Indie music I'm the guy for you =P

Looks good Petrie. I was talking to Tails_155 on MSN. He would like to include an "Other Fanart" within the Arts as well. I see no reason not to include visual art and fanart in the "Arts" section.
