Since there's a username one, I decided to make this topic.
My avatar right now is Katara. She's one of my favorite characters on Avatar.

The angel of my avatar is an image I found awhile ago. The angel is what I look at when I don't feel very happy or I don't feel nasty within. It gave me that inspirational feeling so I decided to use it.

My avatar picture is a drawing of me. Once a friend created a little lord of the rings parody. As the friend didn't live anywhere nearby I couldn't participate in the movie, but by sending some sound files which were considered helpful. For the closing credits of the parody they used drawings of the actors in their roles with the song "Into the west" in the background (very much like in the original Return of the King movie). A friend of my friend drew this picture of me for the closing credits (she only had a photo of me while I never met her in real live). The avatar seemed especially proper when I found out that the original meaning of my name (Malte) is "he who rules with the helmet" :lol:

I chose my current avatar before I even registered here. I'm as much of a fan of Bionicle as I am of LBT, so I figured that if I'm going to be at an LBT forum, I should have a Bionicle style name and avatar. I found the image I wanted to use, but I didn't know how to shrink it to the acceptable size so I could put it up, so someone offered to do it for me.
My current avatar is an image of one of my favorite Bionicle characters, Takua, as he appears as a set. I'm thinking of soon switching to a more "realistic" image of Takua, what he appears as in the Bionicle movies.

My past avatar was an edited Gouki/Akuma from Street Fighter, however, it was suggested by landbeforetimelover, that I get my own LBT avatar. I thought about making one, but I wasn't sure how I was going to do it. He pointed me to a thread regarding some LBT avatars he's made, so here I am today, with this avatar of Littlefoot, looking down over that ledge, with a sort of smile on his face... A look of wonder, somewhat... I think it suits me well...

It's okay, I tend to change my avatar many times also, because it depends on what mood I'm in.:) You don't have to have a permanent avatar, I was just curious about everyone's avatars and how they made them. I don't know at all how to make animated avatars :p so I was sort of looking for inspiration, that's all.

Me, I chose my current avatar (which I use on another of the forums I'm on) when I took the name I did in the game linked to it, Midnight_Angel. I felt I needed something that fit the bill for the name, and that moonshot instantly caught my attention. Plus, I'm a creature of the shadows anyways - you'll never see me outside in the day unless I have to go out (unless it's overcast or raining - I don't like bright light, but I love the rain!)
My other avatar that I use occasionally is just a pic of me. I like me. :DD

I saw it as Sierra as well.
If you hit CTRL-F5, you can do a "hard refresh" of internet explorer. when I did this, the avatar changed to the angel.
I'm guessing the angel has the same filename as Sierra? That would cause a problem like this.

My avatar is an image I found representing the cancerian part of the zodiac. The person is in water, which is where I like to be the most. It is nightfall, which is when I become more awake. The character's features resemble mine to a degree, and the image in general appears dark-natured. That kind of thing appeals to me ;).
I had looked at tiger images but did not care for them as much :lol.

For those of you who didn't notice, I just got my new avatar yesterday. Credit goes to landbeforetimelover, I showed him the image I wanted and he shrank the image and changed it to look like what it is now. Originally, I just wanted the image shrunken so I could use it as an avatar, but after seeing the extra work he put into it, I actually think it looks better. Such an avatar actually makes me feel like I'm a real member of GOF, instead of just a regular visitor.

I chose this one because my two favorite characters are Littlefoot&Cera and I thought it would look good. The original image just had Cera cut off in the middle but I used photoshop to fade it a bit and now it looks okay. :^.^:
Such an avatar actually makes me feel like I'm a real member of GOF, instead of just a regular visitor.
I'm glad I could help. I don't know what the that thing is exactly, but I must say it suits you. I'm not a big fan of non-transparent avatars (meaning that they have a background and they look like a square picture).

As long as the person is happy with their avatar or group of avatars they change among, that is really all that matters.

Are you referring to who it is that my avatar shows? I thought I already said this a few times, :rolleyes: it's what Takua looks like in the Bionicle movies instead of as a set. I'm sure that you agree that it's a more 'realistic' image, you can see that he actually has a movable mouth and has fingers on his hands.
Oh well, I kind of expected things like this in a place where everyone hardly knows anything about Bionicle. Not that it's a bad thing, but it does sometimes makes me feel a little lonely.

My Avatar is of my personally charcater called Wayne the Threehorn who in the Land Before Time Story that where five people from the Gang of Five wished apon a star and end up in LBT world as Dinosaurs.
Story is on fanfiction part of the GOF forum called Land Before Time: Wish Apon a Star (Still a working progress)
Also Wayne (Longston=surname for this story here) is used in my Mysterious World Story where in his dream at this current point he appears as a blackish threehorn (also to this story here a surpise if you haven't figure it our, Cera finding Wayne seeming to be a kind of brother that she never had but won't admit it)

I chose my avatar because, in my mind, Darth Vader's Secret Apperentice marks the return of the traditional Star Wars feel, the perfect combo of incredible action, a 3-dimensional personality, and the mystic power of the Force.

"Rossignol Scratch FS WRS Twintips" is the name of my Twintip skis that I use. Expensive stuff, but the performance makes up for every single penny!
They are an exelent mix of freeride and park skis, which means they do very well both on freeride, offpist, and in the park.
360 grab is my favorite trick with skis. I hope to master it someday! It's so cool!
I choosed this avatar because next to LBT, skiing is my life.
It's also the one thing I do best.

Well, the one I'm using now is Crane from the KFP series. There are two main reasons behind it that give it a lot of meaning:
- It just so happens and it turns out that I have a ton of things in common with him (minus the kung fu skills). I just recently found out for myself... my mind was blown.
- When I was a kid, I had an Indian drum with a blue bird on it. Little did I know that drum would eventually lead me to form a bond with him, and it did, without even being aware of it at all.
The thing about this is that I completely disregarded his existence for quite some time at first because I didn't even know who he was. Even so, I found out the truth, and that's what really matters.

Geez, I must not have told my story yet!
When I first joined here, it was a bit too difficult to find a good avatar, so my first avatar was just the "radioactive" avatar from the base gallery for a bit. Eventually, from that same gallery, I chose the "golf ball" avatar you were all familiar with for a little while. After some months went by, I got sick of it, and decided it was time for a proper avatar. Eventually, I decided on the Winnie-the-Pooh avatar you see now. I've loved the Pooh franchise for as long as I can remember. I might eventually change my avatar again soon, but I'll think about that one.

This brand new avatar I'm using now has to do with my ethnic background, or a part of my heritage. I'm sure everyone is pretty much already aware that Uncle Waldo from The Aristocats is British. Well... coincidentally, I'm also of British blood, as it comes from my mother's side. My rather loud and silly persona may very well come from him, since he was very much like that himself, and the fact that we come from the same background. :lol
My ethnic background and the origin of my loud/silly personality aren't the only key factors... there's one other reason why. It's also because, well... I miss him so very much. I learned A LOT from him when I was little... Oh well, now that I finally know of my special connection and bond with him, he'll always be with me... in my British blood and in my heart.
