This makes me really want to check out the first episode. Because the main reason I wasn't ever really interested in the TV show is because I felt the art style  and quality was a step-down from the sequels.

If you've never seen the TV series, I would recommend watching it through at least once, even with its issues. While a lot of the episodes are subpar, there are still some hidden gems in there. And from most of what I've seen, fans who like the sequels (like me) are bound to enjoy at least some of the TV episodes. :)

Yeah that's a good point. I should give them a watch. If nothing else, it's at least new LBT content!

Welcome to the GoF! It is indeed the LBT fandom's one and only Great Valley on the internet!  ;)Cera

Thanks! I'm glad I didn't have to go through what Littlefoot did to find it!

That's a sensible reaction!

Same! Would love to see more of Chompers parents. And I haven't watched the TV series but I still think the question of his future in the The Valley is completely unresolved.

You actually have a pretty good point, focus on the other main characters, and you’ll create a good movie (just like the 8th movie).

I think any storyline involving Chomper is going to have a lot of built-in-potential for emotion and conflict. On one hand, Littlefoot practically adopted Chomper and out of the entire gang seemed the most keen to care of him and to think of him as family.

On the other hand, Littlefoot also lost his mother to a Sharp Tooth, and there's gotta be some left over trauma there that I could imagine would make it harder for Littlefoot to deal with the fact that one of his best friends is actually an apex predator. It might make him uncomfortable level, although undoubtly he wouldn't want to show it, or even more likely, he might go into full on denial mode and refuse to reckon with it altogether.

Anyway, there is A LOT of potential there plotwise for a new sequel.

That’s it.  You should go to Universal Studios.  They’ll hire you with a good explanation like that.

Thanks!

If only...

Oh there are so many! Going to limit my answer to the sequels because I simply couldn't pick just one favorite moment from the original if my life depended on it.

I love when the gang reunites with Ducky in VII. So much heart in that scene. Also love in the second movie when Littlefoot meets Chomber for the first time and realizes that the little Sharp Tooth isn't dangerous after all. However, my favorite moment must be in X when all the longnecks gather around the crater to keep the great circle from falling. And just about any scene involving Bron.

Well  I didn't exactly manage to pick just one and there are many more candidates that I'm probably forgetting right now but those are some of my favorites to be sure!

In the mid of usual boring lesson in Sharpteeth school how to chase and catch leafeaters.

I imagine Mr. Thicknose could make even that a boring subject!

Currently giving Spyro (The Reignited Trilogy) yet another playthrough and I recently picked up Control so I'm looking forward to start that!
Other than that, CS:GO and Warzone.

Hello and welcome!
:ChomperPOG

Can't wait to share my weird ass takes and lengthy analysis because wow, there is a lot to say about these movies!

Please do, haha. I did my own series of reviews and lengthy analysis on the series a while back, and I always enjoy seeing what others have to say about them as well.

Hi and thanks!

And wow! Would love to give em a read!

Hello and welcome!  :rainbowwave Good to see another fan find there way here from that video!

Yeah, seems I'm not the first!

Funny enough, when the Discord stream of 7 happened, this was the version that was used. Completely took me by surprise as well! Seems a lot less cold when it's not blue  :PCera

Unrelated but where was that Discord stream? Is there a LBT Discord server??

General Land Before Time / Re: Lbt sequels deleted scenes

This is massively interesting to me. If anyone have any other deleted scenes or early script versions or anything I'd love to see it!

94
Yes. Easiest answer I've ever given. But not if they're going to include the dumb edits made to movies IV and VII. Seems very likely to me that that would be the case now, with those being the most recent versions of those films.

The what now!? There are edits of those IV and VII? What did they change?

Wow! She looks so cool! Love the spikes! Definitely gonna check out that fic!

Thanks @LittlefootOnASkateboard!  Sorry, I accidentally caused the latest artwork to disappear on this site when I updated it at its source.

Oh weird! But at least they're still on your artstation! And wow, cool longneck. Dig the design! You really got some really unique and cool dino designs!

Welcome, welcome! :)
Glad to hear Jenny Nicholson's exposure did after all make a bit of a difference here, heh.
You will love it here for sure, hehe-hahaha!
:Mo

Oh thanks and yeah it's a fun vid! And more importantly, they really reminded me what I loved about those old movies. And it gave me some interesting glimpses of the ones I haven't seen yet (feathered Sharp Teeth!) that made me want to finally watch them. Funny thing is that I watched it over a year ago and it took me until to finally create an account haha.

Welcome to the Great Valley! May the Bright Circle shine brightly on your time here. :)

Thanks dude! I'm sure I'll love the treestars here.

Welcome to the forum!  :rainbowwave I hope that you enjoy your time here.  :)

Thanks! Liking it so far!

The sequels were hugely popular in Sweden. Every kid I knew had at least half a dozen LBT VHS tapes at home. I quite prefer the original voice cast over the dubs but having compared the two, it's remarkable how similar the Swedish voice actors are to the original English ones. They really did a good job there. They got a lot of celebs and musicians working it too.

They even got Littlefoot's voice breaking like the originals. Wonder if it was on purpose. Ha.

"Landet för Länge Sedan" literally translates to "Land of Long Ago" and most of the names were exactly the same. Littlefot was Lillefot, Cera was Cera, I think we called Ducky "Kvacky". Ducks quack after all.

I gotta say, I ended up liking this one more than I expected. 13 was a massive disappointment, unfortunately, so expectations were fairly low to be fair. But I ended up liking it. I feel some of the third act conflicts felt a bit contrived (really, Cera should trust Littlefoot by now, and Littlefoot should know better than to break up the gang over some minor disagreement) but I really liked Etta and the new feathered Sharp Teeth were awesome.

It was a bit jarring to have all the voice actors replaced though.

Yeah Littlefoot breaking up the Gang was out of character. It coukd have been more smooth if he said something like, “I won’t lose my Father like I lost my mother!” That one line would have made it clear Littlefoot breaking up the gang is enotional, he has tunnel vision to save his only living parent.

Precisely! That would have made his decision to push on a lot more understandable. And you could give Cera some actually valid reason to want to turn back as well. Like, maybe there is an approach sandstorm (it happened later when they were already separated) or maybe pressing on would mean running into the Sharp Teeth again, or something else that would the conflict more genuine and less contrived and make Cera's perceptive make more sense.

What could have worked is Cera hears her Dad, Topsy, who with Grandpa, Chomper, and Ruby are engaging the Featherheaded Sharpteeth. Cera wants to help her dad, while Littefoot wants to press on to help his dad. That would make Littlefoot and Cera equals in motivation.

Precisely. Something like that would have made all the difference. Really, sometimes I wish I could write a Land Before Time sequel! I feel like I'd do a pretty good job!
