The Party Room / LBT Quote Game

Finally! (There's no smilie to express what I feel!)

Okay, here's a little challenge for you all.  The one word quote challenge.  Basically, the quote will have only one word.  Luckily, it will be a word that is hardly spoken in the LBT script, so it's more fair than you may think.  So, just be ready, becuase this is the challenge I'll give you every time I get one right.

You guys wanted a challenge, and now I give it to you.

Here we go!

Good Luck! :)

Okay, big time shot in the dark...

LBT 5 when they were searching for the gang.  I think it's before the scene where the gang sings Always There.

This song reminds me a little bit of "Christmas to Remember" by Kenny Rodgers and Dolly Parton :p

"You make this a Christmas to remember.
Springtime feelings in the middle of December" :lol
could this be it?
Hmm, I think I heard that one once or twice in my life.  That might be it.

Who knows, maybe the writer of No One Has to be Alone was inspired by Christmas to Remember.  So much, that he just had to put in the rythem. :)

You know, in a strange way, when you sing the End Credits version of No One Has to be Alone, it almost seems to have the same rythem as that of a certian Christmas Song.

I can't pinpoint which one, but it seems to be like that. :)

General Land Before Time / Most Intreging Movie Ever!
« on: March 12, 2006, 03:50:20 PM »
Well Malte, I will admit that I am quite the fan of romance.  So much in fact, that nearly all my stories hold that as the main genre. (The second is Tragedy.  Let's just say I'm alot like Shakesphere.)

Also, the thing with Ducky is that it's hard to tell whether it is out of love or friendship that she does such nice things.  However, according to my studies of the series, Ducky seems to be closest to her feelings with Petrie.  Was it not her who was the saddest when Petrie was nearly killed in the original movie?  And at that time, they were "just friends."

High fans of Romance can indeed tell you where hints are more than anyone else.  However, some are such hyper fans, that they forget about charcter and not understand whether it is love or nature that makes the charcter do love like hints.

Ducky is the most difficult of all.  I'd say even an expert can mistake mere friendship for love.

Though indeed, it might be her nature, but it could've also been love.  It's just hard to tell. :)

General Land Before Time / A Forgotten Charcter!

Quote from: Malte279,Mar 9 2006 on  11:49 AM
Archie may be the best example for a forgotten character, but he is by no means the only one. Rooter, Elsie, Tickles and Sue are other examples for chracters who were introduced for a few scenes only during which they did or said something important often saving a character's life. None of these characters received a great deal of attention in the forums. On the one hand this may be because their actions (however important they were) took only a short span of time in the movies and on the other hand they were overshadowed by more important characters in their respective movies.
True Malte.  However, out of all the forgotten charcters, Archie seems to be the least talked about.  Rooter gets quite the high praise out of all the forgotten charcters.  So much in fact, that "forgotten" seems a bit exaggerated.

I'm not 100% certian on Elise and Sue, but I'm sure I saw a topic or two with them in it.

The most praise Tickles has ever gotten, at least to my knowledge, is him in a fanfic where the gang ends up in the future.

Archie, he's had nothing!  Well, now he has something thanks to me.  However, doesn't it seem a bit sad.  This forgotten turtle risked his own life to save Littlefoot for crying out loud.  He (Along with Sue) should get alot more praise than any of the others.  He really does deserve it, you know. :)

General Land Before Time / A Forgotten Charcter!
« on: March 09, 2006, 02:31:38 AM »
I decided to watch a certian LBT movie, and realized there was a charcter we hardly seem to talk about.  In fact, I have read countless LBT fanfics, and read countless posts here, and I hardly, if at all, see him mentioned.  It's strange, but it seems like we have forgotten about him.

The one I'm talking about is Archie.  You know, that old turtle that helpped Littlefoot in that cave in Journey Through the Mists?

I wonder why we hardly ever talk about him.  Besides, if it wasn't for him, the gang would've never found the Land of Mists.

Discuss this.

General Land Before Time / Wow! LBT 10 was like that?
« on: March 08, 2006, 02:36:04 AM »
I think I figured it all out.

I had kinda forgotten about this topic and my earlier conclusions.  Let's just say I was a little desprate and thought on one thing too much at the time.

The reason Bron's story doesn't make sense, is becuase it was incomplete.  In other words, he hadn't finished.  Littlefoot was so amazed by Bron being the leader of a whole herd that he couldn't help but stop his dad's story.  Now, I saw that Bron saw this coming.  Bron knew such a thing was quite the achievement.  So, in that sense, he stopped to give Littlefoot time to react.  As a result, he never got to finish his story.  I'm sure that if just a bit more was included, it would make alot more sense. :)

Now, I took a bit of time to study the battle with the Sharpteeth, and discovered those "trippings" to all be quite natural.  I paused the tape during the time the first tripping happened and studied it carefully.  It turned out that when the Sharptooth stepped down on the rocks, the rocks were in just the right place to make him trip.  A split second later, it would've failed.  This, however, is very easy to miss and so anyone can misinterperted it as something that shouldn't happen.

Now, the other one that has a debate on is Shorty getting under a Sharptooth's foot and doing that to trip him.  Now, when I paid attention to the sounds very carefully, I heard a familiar grunt sound that we are all familiar with.  I rewind and spot Cera charging at the other foot before Shorty reaches it.  So, in all truth, Shorty wasn't alone in tripping the Sharptooth.  Cera had rammed the other foot, forcing the Sharptooth to balance on one foot, and let's just say it's not easy for you to balance on one foot, especially when you are standing on your toes.  It was far too easy for Shorty to trip it.  In the end, only a fraction of the Sharptooth's weight Shorty had to deal with rather than all of it as it was earlier concluded.  Though how much can still be debated on.  I still don't approve of Shorty doing that, but let's just say that if he didn't take advantage of the sudden oppurtunity, they'd probably be Sharptooth meat by now.

Rather interesting things I found, no? :)

My cousin and me watched LBT 7 together, and here's what she said after the scene where Rinkus & Sierra first appeared.

My cousin: The flyers scary!

Me: The flyers villians!

My cousin: Boooooo!!!

 :lol

Still, I'm wondering why a certian mod hasn't posted about this yet.  He's usually given his opinion every time I give a review. :)

General Land Before Time / When do you usually watch the LBT?
« on: March 05, 2006, 09:48:11 AM »
The only time I really get to watch them is on Tuesday and Wednesday, sometimes Sunday.

I usually watch them alone, up in my room.  I usually watch one or two a week.  Though there are times my cousin from a few houses over comes to visit.  Though five years old, she's quite the fan. :)

Okay, I watched it again, and now I can continue properally with my review.

Now, where did I leave off?  Oh, yes!  The songs! :)

Now, I tend to like the lyrics in "Good Inside" the best, but "Beyond the Mysterious Beyond" holds a flow that makes it easier to memorize it than the other two.  So, chances are that I shall be able to memorize "Beyond the Mysterious Beyond" before the other two.

I hardly cared about the animation.  In fact, I hardly care about animation itself, period! :D

I have given all that I want to really talk about it.  So, I guess this is the end of my review.

In conclusion, I find it to be the most intreging film of all, and I will continue to enjoy it for many more viewings to come. :^.^:

General Land Before Time / Most Intreging Movie Ever!
« on: March 01, 2006, 04:15:01 PM »
At long last, I have finally gotten to watch LBT 7!

I must say, this one was the most intreging movie of all.  However, this is not to say that it was the best movie, but the storyline was good enough to keep me interested to the end.

What's more intreging though, is the way I got this movie.  I got it at a Walmart that I kinda begged my mom to go to. (She needed to get a tombstone for our recently dead puppy.  I needed to go there for competition purposes.) Anyways, as I looked in the Entertainment department, I found a DVD that had Dinah and Dana on the front cover.  On the bottom, it said, "2 Mysteries Beyond the Great Valley." Which meant it was 2 LBT movies on one DVD.  I turn it over to find out what's on it, and to my complete shock it had Secret of Saurus Rock and Stone of Cold Fire.  The two I had left to get for my collection.  I bought it for $12.32. (That's after minusing a discount and what was leftover on my Christmas Shopping Card from over $15.)

To me, what makes this the most intreging storyline ever, is Pterano.  At the beginning, it is made to show that Pterano is the villian.  However, later on, Sierra is the more likely villian of the story. (What irony betryal can be.) Rinkus just seems more to be Sierra's flunky.

What really made it intreging though, were the supported hints between Ducky and Petrie.  I believe more than ever to be a love connection between the two.  I believe the hints in this one to be the strongest of them all.

Another intreging thing is the way Pterano looks.  To me, he looks like a grown up Petrie!  If I didn't know any better, I'd say Pterano is Petrie's father.

Now, one would ask what I thought about the Rainbow Faces.  Well, I pictured them differently that's for sure.  They looked like a real dinosaur.  However, they held secrets about what they called "Beyond the Mysterious Beyond." The secrets of course, were things the LBT dinosaurs were not meant to know.  Also, the way different fanfic authors said they disappeared, was not what I thought.  I thought they had vanished in a FLASH of light, not in a PILLAR of light.  With this information, I'd say that they were aliens from another planet.  I hardly find a problem with this.  If life on other planets can exist now, why couldn't it exist over 65 million years ago?  I don't have a problem with them, and I don't plan to have one with them in the future.  They are intreging, and I plan to accept them as something worthy to be in LBT, regardless of what certian mods around here may think. :p

Now, the songs! :)

The songs of LBT 7 were the most intreging of all.  This is not to say they were the best of them all. :p (In fact, I find the ones in LBT 6 to be better.)

In order of best to worst from LBT 7, my vote goes for "Good Inside", "Beyond the Mysterios Beyond" and "Very Important Creature".

Now, this is not to say that Very Imortant Creature was bad.  It was rather good, but not the best.  It did explain what Pterano was like.  I can highly agree with anyone who says that.

Now, forgive me, as I need to stop my reviews on these songs.  I'm having trouble remembering them as the songs from LBT 6 are shrouding my mind. (Espcially Bad Luck.  That one just had an addictive rythem.) I guess that's what I get for watching a better movie before a worse one.

In conclusion, if I had to give out awards for LBT movies, LBT 7: The Stone of Cold Fire, would be given the Most Intreging Movie Award.  I feel that it really deserves it. :)

Okay, people.  Take it away. :^.^:

You know, when you're older, the series finally comes to an end, (We all pray that never happens.) and you get married and have kids of your own someday, will you let them watch this great series of videos?

As for me...

Yes!  And I hope they become as big of a fan of the series as I do. :)

EDIT:  100th post at last! (God!  How I wish there was a PARTY smilie.)

Howdy!

By any chance, does anyone have the lyrics to "Flip, Flap, and Fly"?  I'd like to add the song to the lyrics database if anyone knows the words to it  :DD
I have a strange feeling that we won't see the lyrics to that until LBT 12 finally comes out in 2007.

Of course, I hope that others keep track of the songs in the upcoming series.  I hear there's going to be one every episode.  As well as an opening song for when it comes on.

So, as you can see, when 2007 rolls round, there's going to be alot of work to be done.

Hope you're up to it. :^.^:
