You get Spike saying "Messa" and other phrases. (Check out the Out of the Shadows fic on Fanfiction.net for a better idea.)

I put in Disney World and Six Flags Theme Park. (Don't ask how I shoved those into the coin slot.)

Thank you, Malte.  Sometimes I annoy others with those, but you're different.

I give the vote of Most Helpful to Malte.  He's helpped me see things more clearly on a number of occasions.  And the least I can do to show my gratitude, is give him the vote. :)

General Land Before Time / Crush?

Okay, after giving the next post of mine ALOT of thought, I have come to this nice little conclusion on questionable hints in LBT 3.

Now, this is what shippers would call the HINT VIDEO for the Littlefoot & Cera pairing.

Why, you ask?

Well, as we know, Littlefoot was seen as a "bad influence" when he accidently splashed "precious" water on Mr. Threehorn.  As such, he forbid Cera to EVER play with Littlefoot again.  Cera protested against this, even giving her father a firm "NO!"

This little forbidden to play with Littlefoot thing led up to the point where she ran away.  She then secretly met with Littlefoot to solve the water problem.

Cera disobeying her dad for this, shows that she truly cares about the time she spends with Littlefoot.  Their friendship is so important to her that she would disobey her dad just to spend time with him.

I can't help but think of LBT 3 as one of the biggest hints ever.

What do you guys think? :)

LBT Projects / Anybody want to try this?
« on: March 21, 2006, 09:34:44 AM »
Now, I saw something like this once online, where the different movements of a charcter are put in such a way that it looks like they're dancing.

Now, I myslef would love to see an animation of Cera pulling off some great break dancing moves.

However, the thing is that I would like someone else to try this.  Reason why is, a.) I've got too many other projects of my own to complete, and b.) I have zero skill in this sort of thing. (I don't even have a program to pull it off.)

So, anyone up to the challenge?  Anyone?

I'm sure that quote would belong to none other than Cera.  It would SO be her!  However, I can't quite place the scene.

Come to think of it, I didn't get an e-mail.

*swears his mouth off.*

Well, back to trying to find one! -_-

Oh and as it turns out, I can't get a refund for the game I bought as I did open it and to get my money back, it can't be opened. :mad

Now, I'm not 100% sure of whether or not I pulled off buying the new GBA LBT game on-line, but I should know in up to 14 days.

You see, I went onto Amazon.com and found only one left in stock.  As such, I immediately put it in my shopping cart and went to the checkout.  I have a Visa Check Card so I was able to buy it with that.  Now, the thing is that it was very late when I did this, and while it was taking care of all the proceedes of buying it, my computer was booted off-line.  So, I'm not sure if I pulled it off.

What mainly makes me wonder this, is that there are none left in stock.  So, as such, there is a chance that I pulled it off, or that someone else bought it while I was asleep, as I had discovered this part in the morning.  So whether or not it's on it's way to my home is beyond me right now, but I'll make sure to let you guys know in a couple of weeks.

In the mean time, I'm thinking of returning the game I just barely bought.  However, with me being the fan of LBT that I am, I'm having second thoughts.  I'm not sure.

Well, maybe I'll sleep on it.

I'll see ya later. :)

Okay, I got to play this game, and now I can give you some info on it.

So what's the story?  Here's the deal:

The Gang go exploring inside a cave and suddenly, there is this rock slide, making them trapped inside the cave.  As they try to find a way out, Spike notices that they are not alone... A SHARPTOOTH IS ASLEEP INSIDE THE CAVE!!

The Gang scatter and find a way out by sheer luck, but become seperated and lost in The Mysterious Beyond.

Petrie finds Littlefoot and together they search for their friends and a way home.  Unfortunately, their friends have been captured by various enemies.

So begins the quest to save their friends and find a way home.

--------

The controls are simple really, though the instruction booklet has them mixed up a little.

Control Pad: Move (Duh!)

A Button: Jump (press while in the air to do a Double Jump.)

B Button: Tail Swing

B Button x2: Spike & Littlefoot: 360 Tail Swing    Cera: Charge & Ram!

L + Control Pad: Scout. (Use this to look in different dirctions before you leap.)

R + Control Pad: Run (This really comes in handy when a Double Jump won't get you across.  You can jump pretty far when you add a run.)

Down on Control Pad: Duck.

Start: Pause

Select: Switch between charcters. (Note: This is only available after you save Cera.  Don't worry, you save her first.)

---------

Each charcter seems to hold something special about them.

Littlefoot: The one you start out with and a great choice in nearly any situation.  He holds the highest and farthest jumping skill.  His mighty tail is his main weapon, but that doesn't mean he can't squish a few bad guys by jumping on them.  Very fast and agile, Littlefoot is a great all-around chacter, but there are some situations that are better suited for the other charcters.

Spike:  Though slow, Spike holds the highest defense and can take more hits than any of the other charcters.  His high defense makes him the only one capable of withstanding deadly spikes.  He can't jump as far or high or run as fast as any of the other chacters, but when it comes to tough bosses that require alot of defense to take on, Spike's your dino!

Cera:  She's the strongest in the movies, and just as tough in the game.  Her ability to take care of big boulders with her great strength comes in very handy.  However, she does lack in speed and jumping.

Ducky:  Very fast and agile, Ducky is the perfect scout.  Her small size enables her to find danger up ahead and be easily overlooked by bad guys.  She may be the weakest in strength, but that doesn't mean she can't be useful. (Ducky really comes in handy against the fourth boss.)

Petrie:  You don't get to control him, but that doesn't mean he won't do anything.  Petrie is there to distract enemies.  While they're busy with the little flyer, they become an easy target for any member of the gang.

--------

You cannot save on this, but don't worry too much.  You get a password every time you beat one of the five worlds.  Rather than numbers and letters, the passwords are identified by the charcters.  Just remember to memorize those passwords.  They always come in handy.

---------

The game holds a difficulty function.  1 to 3.  1 is easiest.  3 is hardest.

-------

My comments:

For my first time playing a LBT time, it was rather enjoyalbe.  However, it could've been done better.  The instruction booklet says L to run, but as I experimented, it was proven to be R.  However, the bosses aren't that tough.  They hold an all too simple pattern like movement that make them easy to beat on any difficulty. (Like boss one: claw, wait, tail, wait, claw, wait, tail, wait.  See what I mean?) Another mistake is that Ducky is saved at the end of the third world, not the forth.

With only five worlds, an experienced player can beat it in about an hour.

Other than that, it was enjoyable and worth the $13 I spent. (That's how much it cost at Toys R' Us.)

It's not really one I'll play much.  More likely when I'm bored than anything else.

Overall rating:

8/10.

I'll give you my full review on this game once I play it. :)

Hey, just a little something that's been bugging me lately.

What species is the villain in this one?  He looks a lot like a crocodile, but with those flippers, he's definately not.

Even though I've seen it nearly 10 times, I still get chocked up when the villain chases Mo in that thunderstorm scene.

This has become my favorite out of all the sequals, and it's one that is here to stay. :)

Well, some fans of love believe that true love can only exist in charcters that are around or exactly the same size.  This however just proves that some people don't know anything about love.  They forget that some people hold a "height disability" and end up with ones that are taller than them, and things work out VERY well, regardless of the major height difference.

Anyways, it seems we've concluded that Ducky to Petrie is most likely mere friendship.  I guess we won't know for sure unless such a term is spoken upon in the series. (Maybe they could get into a certian situation that involves that and get teased by their friends.)

Now, what about Petrie to Ducky.  Let's explore that one for a bit. :)

Finally! (There's no smilie to express what I feel!)

Okay, here's a little challenge for you all.  The one word quote challenge.  Basically, the quote will have only one word.  Luckily, it will be a word that is hardly spoken in the LBT script, so it's more fair than you may think.  So, just be ready, becuase this is the challenge I'll give you every time I get one right.

You guys wanted a challenge, and now I give it to you.

Here we go!

This song reminds me a little bit of "Christmas to Remember" by Kenny Rodgers and Dolly Parton :p

"You make this a Christmas to remember.
Springtime feelings in the middle of December" :lol
could this be it?
Hmm, I think I heard that one once or twice in my life.  That might be it.

Who knows, maybe the writer of No One Has to be Alone was inspired by Christmas to Remember.  So much, that he just had to put in the rythem. :)
