In fact there are several female members of the GOF. The first land before time fan I ever got to know via internet is a female too. While they are underrepresented in terms of numbers in the GOF women are producing some of the most gorgeous fanart here, are writing many fanfictions, and create LBT webpages as well. Women are active participants in our discussions.

I'm sure he meant no offense. There are many places in the world where women don't play a very active role in the use of technology. I'm sure he is in one of those area's since he likes sushi, I'm assuming that he is from some other country, possibly a country where women aren't involved with technology so much.

Just a theroey, but if it was meant to degrade women, you should indeed be more careful about what you say. I know ton's of women who are online, my mother included.

Sorry, didn't mean any offense, it's just that in previous communities I've been to, there have been little to no women active, and sometimes people make jokes about it. (a programming community) It's actually a good change that there's a healthy mix of people here.

Women on the internet is a lot more common than you think. Just because a few communities you've been to didn't have many, if any, active female members doesn't mean that women in general don't use the internet.
