Title: Pebble and the Penguin fanart
Post by: Adder on June 20, 2010, 03:06:23 PM: I'll be adding my fan art (an some fanedit using scraps of my other pictures) here, I'm doing this because I don't have anymore Ice Age, for a while anyway. Most of my pictures will be the girls in the movie (http://pebbleandthepenguin.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Females).

This is a picture of her that I made on paint, it took me 1 hour 3 minutes to make, and I made it while looking at a picture of her on the cover.

Here's a picture of her that I made using paint, and a piece of screenshot, I used the head from the picture above.

This one took me about a day and a half to make, counting gathering the scraps, and resizing the head, and putting together. Only thing I didn't make on the second one is the shirt.

This is an animation using my previous image, I call it "Marina singing". I know it's not a creative name, but that's the only thing that was in my mind at the time.

This is a picture of Gwynne, one of Marina's friends, that I made completely by myself, without looking at a screenshot, but I did look off of a picture I drew, the one made on paint didn't come out as good as the hand drawn one. Sorry, I don't have a scanner, so I can't upload any of my hand-drawn pictures, and believe me I wish could everyday of the week.

This is another animation of Marina I made, this uses three seperate pictures. The first with her arms up in the arm, the second her arms down, and the third her arms on her butt.

This is animation I made of the girl penguins in The Pebble and the Penguin dancing. It also uses three images, and I know these are screenshots, I'm not really calling this one fanart, just an animation.

This is animation of Marina and Hubie kissing. I was two screenshots from The Pebble and the Penguin, erased the backgrounds and added a picture of the ice cave entrance from Ice Age.

This one I made on paint by looking off a screenshot of the same picture. I was tired of working on it after three days so I just copied what their standing on and pasted the fan-art part over it, and I colored the red, and noticed the orange was between alot of small spaces so I didn't bother with it.

It's done! The finished picture of Marina ice skating. It'll be a few days, maybe weeks before I make another. Between the original sketch and coloring, it took over six hours to make! I done for a while, if anyone reads this, tell me what you think, please!

Post by: Adder on July 18, 2010, 12:56:48 PM: One thing I've been wondering is, dose any one here like DarkHououmon or other fanartists here want to try and make Marina or any of the other characters I've got pictures of in their one style.

I would love to see one of Marina done in the style of the sharptooth valley pictures or the style DarkHououmon used for the twilight valley poster.

Anyone that is a fanartist here can make a picture of Marina, Gwynne, Pola or Priscilla.

Any other characters will be fine to, expect Drake, I really hate him!

Any character from the movie can be done, even the three birds Petra, Beany and Timmy.

But seriously, I would to see other The Pebble and the Penguin fanart it other peoples' style, maybe DarkHououmon or Ptyra's style.

Post by: Adder on July 24, 2010, 09:18:39 AM: I'm currently working on a new picture that is of all the female penguins in the movie. It is going to be several hours until I get it done, maybe tommorow or two days. I've just gotten the body of the girls made. I still have to make the inner details (face, etc.), then color them in, fix the outlines so they match the color of the day, then upload it to DeviantArt, and then here.

I'm also going to post a step-by-step phase of how I make my pictures (using several small expamples).

Scrattelover3, I love your Pebble and the Penguin drawings and I especially love your drawings of Marina and Gwynne. ;) Very nice. :) I mean it. They were very cool and cute looking. :)

I remember "the Pebble and the Penguin." It came out in the Spring of 1995, I was 5 years old and in Kindergarten... I know it's not one of Don Bluth's more well known movies, but I do remember it.. You did a wonderful job on your Marina and Gwynne pictures, like I said before. :D I know it was only one movie and didn't turn into a 13-movie series like LBT, but i'm still a Marina and Gwynne fan. I like them both.
