Good afternoon, everyone! Glad to see you here. This place shall be the home of some of my drawings, paintings, sketches, that are not necessarily related to the Land Before Time franchise. Constructive criticism is always welcome! My drawings will be posted as replies to this topic. :DD
Here's the fist one I'd like to share, titled 'Distant'.
-
Awesome!
Well, since this one also includes unidentified dino, like in your other drawings... You could post them in your previous thread.

First of all, thank you very much! :DD
Secondly, I've been thinking about creating a thread for my other artworks for a long time, so I finally decided to go for it!

What kind of pencils(?) do you use to make these beauties? (didn't I ask before already? :D)

I use mostly a mechanical pencil with 2B leads, 2B, 4B and 8B pencils for shading, usually.

(had some time during office hours, so figured I would stop by)
Very nice! :) The roughened appearance of the dinosaur's feathers is complimented by the jagged trees and light foliage in the background, hinting at a landscape that is simultaneously sparse and bustling with hidden dangers. Though I find myself drawn to the dinosaur's focus on something unseen in the distance. Is he the "threat" looking upon potential prey? ...or is he the prey? The best art does exactly what this drawing does, and leaves it to the observer's imagination.
-
Thanks for the kind words! :DD
-
creepy...
why there's second eye hole? Oo
-
"Distant", as all of your works, looks really awesome! I truly love the atmosphere in your pictures as the lighting and the rugged landscape comboed with the very gloomy colors really works here once again. As for the raptor itself, his or her brief glance at the moon creates a mysterious feeling to the whole scene and I can't help but love the way you manage to make the feathers look so amazing. :) However, I think that making the eye a bit more detailed would have made the raptor's longing or predatory look more effective. It's good as it is but this is pretty much the only thing that caught my critical eye here! It's great to see more art from you after a while. :yes
As for the skull, it also looks pretty cool! The details in the right part of the picture make the bones look almost three-dimensional, which is quite impressive. Great job again! :D
-
Noice! :DD
-
Thanks, everyone! And thank you Sovereign for your review as well! :DD
-
I very much like the way you draw your backgrounds, especially the night ones, due in large part how effective you are with your shading. Your detail with the scales and feathers are great as always.
The skull looks awesome as well. I don't know a lot about actual anatomy but there is a good amount of detail that was put in.
Great job with both of these. Looking forward to seeing more! :DD
-
Thank you very much! :DD
-
Quick little drawing from memory. :DD
-
Epic! :wow I'm impressed you drew it out of your memory!
I like your style!
-
Very nice! :wow Please forgive me, but as it is April Fool's Day, I couldn't help but imagine the dinosaur saying "Whasss Uppp!" with that expression. :p That humorous mental image aside, I love how the details work together in this image to convey action in the dinosaur's expression. One can tell that he has been suddenly roused by something - perhaps a threat or perhaps food.
Or perhaps he simply saw Chomper and was asking him "Whasss Uppp!" :OhYou
-
Thanks for the kind words everyone! :DD
-
awesome, as always! ;)
-
As I told on discord already... you NULLED it lol :DD
-
Looks pretty cool as usual. :) The expression is well done and the overall look of the drawing is once again spot on. It may not be as impactful as some of your other works due to the lack of background but the picture itself is really nice. Good job! :DD
-
Thank you Sovereign :)
-
I get similar feelings as rhombus with this one. He seems almost happy with his expression...maybe because he is a bit more wide-eyed then one would expect from an angry sharptooth? Very cool though.
-
"Please draw 3 dinosaurs in a canoe that can really only accommodate 2 dinosaurs. And one dinosaur has a hat"
Got it :DD
-
:lol :lol :lol
- Do you want to take a ride on a boat, madam?
- Thank you for your gratefulness, monsieur! My son loves to ride through the water.
- Mom... This boat is not correct... It isn't even alive, like Elsie...
Awesome work, Zero!
-
Great job as always, zero! It is hard to go amiss with your style even if I'm not a big fan of humorous drawings like this. Even then, my preferences take nothing away from the great feeling and details of this drawing. Especially the hat-wearing guy's expression and the shading are well done. It's always great to see art from you! :DD
-
Thanks! :DD
-
I'm probably close to the opposite to Sovereign in this regard, I love humorous drawings like this. It's what can make drawing so fun some times, at least for me. Other then what appears to be the water in the background disappearing behind the left dino's head, everything else is great and I love it!
Hope to see more art from you soon! *cough* *cough* fanart prompt *cough* :p
-
You still haven't submitted your contest entry :P
Anyway, great job! :DD
-
This sketch took me about an hour to complete. Its title is "Dawn" and it depicts a pair of Deinonychuses.
-
You did such thing in an hour?
Dude, that is tremendously good! Love it.
-
Yooo, this is amazing, zero! :wow I especially love the shading on their snouts and the atmosphere of the picture. Nicely done! :Mo
-
Whoa, that's quite awesome zero :^^spike
-
So sweet and amazing!
-
Okay I saw this already... but I didn't know it took you one hour to do this! That's something!
Anyway, to repeat what I said like a broken recorder, the shading (in spite of being entirely black and white) gives them a very real sense of perception and depth. Good on you! :D
-
I can only agree that this is a really awesome drawing, zero! The colors and the clear sense of affection here are done very effectively and create a good feeling to the whole picture. Excellent job! :DD
-
Thanks everyone! :DD
-
I've commented on this on Discord but I just want to say that it's amazing that it only took an hour to draw!
Hoping to see more drawings from you! :DD
-
"Spino snack", using graphite.
-
I believe I said this before: man, you definitely dislike flyers so they keep become a prey on your drawings! Oo
but still - it doesn't change a fact you draw like a God. :D
-
Thanks Sneak! :DD
-
One Icon Review: :(petrie
Serious review: How do you outline and shade with pencil so wellllllllll?
-
This is awesome!! That spino looks spot on, and the shading looks especially good! Poor flyer tho... :(petrie
-
Thank you so much! Your drawings are quite awesome as well! :DD
-
Yeah, this is a nice picture and the shading is great as always. I especially find the flyer drawn in a great way here but as many others have implied, why can't your sharpteeth eat a swimmer for a change? :p The predator's gaze is a bit empty, though.
-
as many others have implied, why can't your sharpteeth eat a swimmer for a change? :p
*imagines how Ducky and others would react and post here*
Nah, srsl, me and any other sharptooth or sharpbeak will tell you that longnecks are the best snack! Even Chomper would confirm it! :angel

-
Baryonyx sketch!
-
Tbh I actually audibly gasped when I saw this,,, it’s amazing! I especially love the shimmering effect on the scales. Nice work, zero! :DD
-
Thank you very much! :)
-
-
-
Are you sure these are just SKETCHES? ;3
Love them! (and scary! Would like if one of them replaces a stupid mistake named Red Claw! :D )
-
Yes, I'm sure these are just sketches, they are not complete in any shape or form :P
-
And thank you very much!
-
you are welcome!
these "sketches" looks like complete masterpieces!
btw: ummm... are you sure you want to keep this avatar? *shivers when I see it*
-
My god these are amazing! Your scale detail has never been better and the recent WIP is showing very promising results.
Glad to see you back drawing again! :)littlefoot
-
I really like this perspective shot... even if it gives me shudders staring down its throat. :sducky
Nice one!
-
Great drawings, zero. :)littlefoot
Your style is fairly unique and the results are wonderful. Can't see why you keep complaining about your abilities as there is really no need to, nope nope nope :)
-
Thank you for the feedback guys, it means a lot.
-
My new avatar is ready... A bit sketchy, but I like how it turned out :DD
-
It's awesome! With style! :D
-
Thank you Sneak! :DD
-
Yeah, the colors look cool and the expression is great but the overall look of the picture is... eccentric, to say the least. :smile Still, it makes a great avatar!
-
Thank you Sovereign!
-
Awesome avatar zero!! Really love the colors :DD
-
Ah, thank you Jassy! :DD
-
I'm a sharptooth, raaawr!
-
Sooo happy! I really like his facial expression and love the colors you went with for his design :)
-
Thanks a lot Iris! :DD
-
Oh my, this sharptotoh is so colorful and cute!!! :3
And wow, I love these sun flashes(?).Amazing!
-
Yep, that drawing is really great, zero, for the reasons Mumbling mentioned! In fact, I'd say it's one of your best in a good while! :)littlefoot
-
I love the new drawing! :DD Not only is the contrast perfect between the eyes, the background, and the base color of the subject, but the expression can't help but make people smile.
-
It's looking really good zero! While your more realistic style is amazing it's great to see you switch it up with this one. :DD
As for potential feedback, not sure if it's just me, but its neck seems a little on the thicker side. Still, an awesome drawing! :)littlefoot
-
Thanks everyone! :DD
-
Here I come, here I come! I just launched my Ko-fi site and I am preparing to launch experimental commissions! Stay tuned! :DD
