Anyone have their own video game characters that are 100% original and not OCs of an existing game? Why not post em here.

I have a series called "Fruity Toucan". The main character is Fruity the female toucan and the game would be a 3-D platformer like Super mario. Her trademark ability is that she can use her strong beak as many different kinds of tools like a hammer or a shovel. I'd only release the her games on Nintendo systems.

so what do you think of that? post your own characters if you'd like :DD

Meg, a thirty something woman who happens to the leader of her village's Guard and a proud mother. I came up with her for a E-style RPG, simply because of how different that makes her from all the rest.

Oh my god, I have so many characters for video game ideas it's not funny. More than I have for my various novel ideas.

A few examples, if I may:

Lady Kinsetamine the knight and her faithful dragon Arkady - two companions for a dual character platformer series based around switching between the two characters and solving puzzles. Drew some concept art and had the mechanics drawn out as well as level designs, but I scrapped it all several years ago.

Slash - ex convict and dog like space pirate who leads the Sirius corp. Set in a universe where stars are actually gods, some benevolent... some hell bent on wiping out all life. Sirius was the most notorious star-god. Was to be an action platformer ala Metal Slug and Contra but with heavy emphasis on leveling weapons and exceptionally high difficulty. Other characters included Kat (Feline katana wielding samurai), Klebol (Kobold mechanic), Winston (Peacock sniper), Fenix (Pyromaniac phoenix), Sins (Hydra heavy weapons specialist/priest), and Hammerhead (Robot artillery piece). Yes, it was weird. Didn't get far with this idea, only a few concept arts and boss ideas.

Kasey - a walking talking lobster who captains a pirate vessel. Was to be an RPGmaker game based around ship to ship combat, but I got bored trying to program a working tactical ship combat mechanic into the game. Other characters included a tree, a human trader, a steam powered robot, a sea dragon, a mermaid, a siren and a water elemental, all who could captain their own vessels/sea beasts. Adapting into a novel instead at some point.

FutureRaptor - a blue feathered time traveling velociraptor. Was to be the main character in an adventure game series that parodied Doctor Who, using the AGS engine. Concept art and most of the puzzles laid out, but that's about all I did before giving up.

I've actually made a fair amount of video games myself, using a program using Multimedia Fusion. :rolleyes Yeah, I know its considered a sissy system because it doesn't force you to memorize code, but its super easy to use and I've gotten to make over a dozen games to entertain myself.

However, my games don't generally include rounded characters, as much as simple avatars for the player.

My favorite is called "Duel of the geniuses": Namely, you've brought the 15 greatest individuals in human history through time to have dinner. Sadly, they quickly drink too much, insult each other and start a battle royale to see who's the greatest, and you have to try and survive the ensuing carnage.
