I looked back to page 3 to see if there's a topic on this and found nothing.

Anyway, has anyone seen this horrid, grusome, yet wonderfull movie? It was originally made in germany off of a german novel. It's about a new to the neighborhood cat named Fransis who ends up envolved in a huge murder mystery case.
It's on youtube in english currently, but be warned of gore, guts, and cat sex.

I dug up the old thread and merged it with this one. There is still a lot room for discussion on the movie as not so much has been said so far. One thing I've been wondering about (I think I mentioned it in a Felidae caption this thread) is the issue they seem to have with George Mendel.
The man is depicted like a monster and a crazy scientist in the movie who is experimenting with animals. In reality the monk Gregor Mendel, on whose discoveries the study of genetics is based, was experimenting mainly with peas. I think bees were also involved in some of his experiments, but I really don't see the man as so vicious as he was depicted in the movie.

I thought it was beans 0_o

Mendel was used in the movie for the genetics, which was what the murder's motives were; to create a race of supirior cats, only letting males breed with the right females, which was why male cats were being slauterd as well as pregnant females.

I think Mendel was a monster in Francis's dream because it was a picture he saw in Pascal's house; and you know how dreams work. Mendel even mentions genetics in said dream....while playing puppet master with dead cats >__>
I just think it was an informative, yet messed up dream Francis had.

Im now intruiged to watch Plauge Dogs.

It's a pity you don't understand German weather_lord_7 and Zenoah. Today I got an audio play of Felidae which I'm sure you would enjoy.

I watched it a couple months ago, and I gotta say I enjoyed it. The funny part was that the next day at school, we went into genetics and Medel   ! I went "O__O!!!"
I was a little surprised by some scenes, but mostly by the dead pregnant cat and Felicity. I was all "Darn, and I was starting to like her!" Bluebeard's "I've had more wives than Henry the Eight" made me laugh. On another fourm, they were taling about how it was rated '12 and up'. It's certainly a PG-13 movie. Just because it's a cartoon, it doesn't mean it's a kid's movie!
