Title: WORST LBT Song Ever!
Post by: pokeplayer984 on May 21, 2007, 10:49:10 PM
What would you see as the WORST LBT song that the LBT creators have ever made?

For me, it would be "The Lesson" out of all of them.  Sure, it made a good point of "You're never too old to learn" and all, but I feel that Mr. Thicknose kind of ruined it.  I'm just glad that they changed his voice to something more enjoyable when he sings.

Not to mention that it really doesn't feel like a song at many different points.  Yeah, the music is there, but the lyrics feel like they move by a bit too fast to work properly.

I'd say that it's the worst one they ever did, and was probably what nearly killed LBT.  If LBT 9 didn't come in to save the franchise, LBT wouldn't be as popular as it is now.

So hands down for me, "The Lesson".

Well, take it away, guys. :)

Flip flap and fly.  It was so lame and horrible.  The lyrics sounded like they were put together in five minutes and all of the voices sucked really bad.  Everyone sounded like they had a cold!  I can no longer watch it because it makes me doubt my loyalty to lbt.  I think they just put this song in there because they needed another one.  The other two songs in lbt 12 were great.  In fact "things change" was my absolute favorite of all the lbt songs.

"The lesson" sure is a candidate for the rank of the worst song. "Who needs you?" may be another one (though I may be influenced by the fact that the German translation is worse than the English version).

It's no contest for me. Hands-down the worst song has to be "Oops-Eeps". Canyon of the Shiny Stones now feels tainted because of it.

Oh, and Flip Flap and Fly, Adventuring and Big Water FTFW!

Adventuring and big water are some of my favorites!  I agree with you on the oops-eeps one though.  That one made me SICK!

"The Lone Dinosaur." I have nothing against country music, its one of my favorite genres, as a matter of fact, but... IT HAS NO PLACE IN A 'LAND BEFORE TIME' MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!

I have so many favorites but I have some hated ones as well.

1. I am  so happy(You guys must know the song they have played it like 4 or 5 times in different episodes of the TV series.  It got very tiresome in a big hurry)

2. Ooops eeepsss (My spelling is a little bit off probably)

3. Big Water(No, not the one in the fifth that one was one of my favorites. I'm talking about the rendition they sang in the 9th movie.)

4. Eggs

5. Who Needs You

Eggs has to be the only one I dislike the most, it don't really have that much motion it for me, the others I am alright with, one of my latest favs is Flip Flap and Fly, but nothing can beat Friends on LBT 10, that has to be the best song ever.

Who needs You? was pretty unnecessary, "oops-eeps" was childish, andThe "lsson was pretty bad.. Frankly, I'm not a fan of the kids breaking out into song, this should be an adventure, not a musical..

I love the songs. As long as they've got a good rhythem to it and stuff I love them. But I love Musicals so that's a bit different . I hate songs that aren't called for though like singing the same song with different lyrics.

I know what you mean, Dash.  At first I actually liked "I Feel So Happy".  However, it soon died out and it's getting difficult for me to go through the whole song and give the lyrics to Action9000 and so that he can one day put them up on his website for us all to enjoy.

I feel that the TV Series has nearly killed Adventuring.  It should be illegal to hear any remakes of it.  The original seems to be the only one I like now. :(

Eggs is meant to give you a view of what Ozzy is actually like.  However, regardless of that, it's still bad to me. -_-

There is one song that I hope they do air, but don't change.  If they do change it, I hope the changes are so minor that they hardly make a difference. (Like changing a Petrie "me" to a Littlefoot/Cera/Ducky "I", something along those lines.) I just don't expect it until the final episode, where they, hopefully, say goodbye to Ruby and Chomper.  Can anyone guess the one I fear they will ruin? :)

Oh, and I actually kinda like "Oops-Eeps".  It's kinda silly to me. :^.^:

either Oops Eeps or When You're Big or Creepy Crawlies/Stupid Stompers...

and (though I have the advantage of knowing a bit of how to speak it :p) Flip, Flap, Volar (The Spanish version) is better vocally, however I thought of Flip, Flap, Fly (though obviously taken from that Disney movie (I think as a kind of parody) was a rather fun song

I could probably give a general rating on any song someone says though, but the two I mentioned at the start of this are my least favorites

The Lesson is the worst.   :x   Like Nick said earlier, unless the title is LBT: The Musical, maybe songs just ought to stay out of it for the heck of it.

You think there shouldn't be any songs at all in LBT?
I guess the good ones are worth taking the bad ones into account. If it wasn't for the songs in LBT we wouldn't have some of our most interesting community projects.

I think more than 500 people in the world disagree with you.  After all, I've got nearly 800 views, none of which was my assistance, on my YouTube vid of Flip, Flap and Fly.  How long has it been around? A little more than 20 days.  The other two only have about half as much.  Less than 400. :o

One thing that makes Flip, Flap and Fly unique from all the other LBT songs is that they have different charcters singing completely different lines near the end at the same time.  Until now, the music writers never attempted that.  It was something rather complex to put together, which is why I would like to see us of the Gang of Five Community try it at some point.  It wouldn't be all that simple, that's for sure.

Of course, you're entitled to your own opinion.  I just felt like pointing something out. :)

In all honesty my personal favorite song in LBT would be "If we hold on together".....but my most HATED song EVER is.....(well I've got two or three, so plz hang in with me!

*Drumroll*.......  :^.^:

"Opps-epps", "I feel so happy" (they really just killed it in the series), and the remake of "Adventuring" in the TV series

BTW, isn't it funny how when they start singing.....take Flip,Flap,FLy as an example....

Petrie starts by singing to himself, and about half way thorough EVERYONE just sorta falls into tune?
maybe it's just me.....but I find that REALLY annoying....

Lets see...off the top of my head, the songs I dislike;

*I never liked "Kids Like Us" for some reason. I think I just hated the intro.
*"It Takes All Sorts" I like better than I used to, but Ali going off key fairly early on always put me off it before it really started.
*"Creepy Crawlies" was weak, and I think "Girls And Dads" is my least favourite. That final note irks me beyond reason.

I figure The Lesson's the worst, but I haven't heard that song enough to really say as much.

And although the rest of these songs were fine, the choruses in "Peaceful Valley" and "Always There" sounded too garbled for me. I generally think 5, 6 & 12 had the best songs of the sequels. 2, 3, 4, 7, 9, & 10 had good songs, and 8, 11 and 13 not as much (actually, I haven't seen 13 in a while, but I seem to remember humming along to that Yellow Belly Beat song).

I'll probably say The Legend Of The Lone Dinosaur because of the fact it's country-style I think(I hate country save for very few songs in this genre) and because it made me start to lose interest in the songs years ago. I had a hard time listening to it for the first time, and I never listened to it after the first time. And after that, I started becoming less and less interested in the songs in general.

I'm just going to put down a list of the song from each movie I disliked, just for the heck of it.

LBT: None - because the only song in it is the best song in the LBT franchise :smile

LBT II: Eggs - I'm sorry, but even though I really enjoy Ozzy and Strut as characters, that song was a little pointless to me. Yes, I realize that it was meant to show why Ozzy has to have eggs, but I just didn't like the tune. Also, I didn't really like how he kept insulting Strut throughout the song. Yes, it's not the first or last time, but I just really didn't like it that much.

LBT III: Tough and When You're Big - I didn't like either of these songs. When You're Big had a bad tune, the lyrics were kind of lame, and Mutt and Nod didn't really make good back up singers. Also, I applaud Threehorn getting a song, but Tough was also kind of stupid. To me, it came off as nothing more than a boost for his ego.

On a side note, I actually really liked Kids Like Us. Scott McAfee had a really nice singing voice, and it was a heck of a lot better than the other two.

LBT IV: Who Needs You? - Really? This is the song that ruined villain songs for me. It's not even really a song. The majority of the time they are speaking the lyrics, and the lyrics are REALLY lame.

I also really liked It Takes All Sorts. Sure Ali is not the best singer, but still the message is strong, and it was the last song with the voices of Littlefoot, Cera, and Ducky, and they all did a really nice job. I also really loved Grandma's Lullaby. I was very happy she got a song, and it was beautiful.

LBT V: Big Water - I don't really hate the song, but I don't like it as much as the other two songs. The tune is kind of catchy, the cast did a nice job singing it, but nowhere near as good as Always There. Also, it wasn't as fun and playful as Friends for Dinner, but then again that's because the song was meant to display their fears.

LBT VI: Bad Luck - I'm sorry, but not even Spike's awesome singing could save this. The song was completely pointless. I mean, sure Lone Dinosaur was kind of dumb, but at least it was telling a legend. This was just saying, "Oh this is bad luck, and that is bad luck," WE GOT IT!

LBT VII: None - All three songs I enjoyed. Sure maybe Good Inside was not the best, but it was still good. Pterano's song saved the villain songs for me. Who knew Michael York could sing?

LBT VIII: The Lesson - Pretty much the same reasons as everybody else. I was originally going to say Mad, but that song has some pretty funny moments in it despite the mediocre tune. The Lesson was just terrible.

LBT IX: Big Water - The first time a song was redone in a sequel, and it was nowhere near as good as before. Why were they singing it like they were happy? Last time they were scared to death of it. It just didn't sound good at all.

LBT X: None - I enjoyed these songs as well. Adventuring was only good in this movie. The dad song was nice also, even though maybe this Littlefoot's voice was not the best singing voice. It was nice that he was finally reflecting on finding his dad. Bestest Friends is my second favorite song in the franchise. It is so sweet yet sad at the same time, because you didn't know what Littlefoot was going to do at the time.

LBT XI: Creepy Crawlies: You wonder why the adults never got songs? This is why. Not counting Grandma's Lullaby in IV, the adults just don't have good singing voices, and the tune was terrible! Now granted, Grandpa Longneck in If Only was tolerable.

LBT XII: Flip, Flap, Fly - Again, for the same reasons as everybody else. The cameos were I guess kind of nice, but at the same time, it was like "Why were they there?". I wasn't that fond of One of a Kind either, but it wasn't as bad as this.

LBT XIII: Yellowbelly Song and Say So - I think these two songs tie with the two I chose for LBT III as the worst songs of the sequels. The Yellowbelly Song was completely pointless, the dance looked stupid, and just everybody's voices didn't sound that good. Say So was just plain annoying, and the lyrics were a bit stupid in parts. Thank god How Do You Know saved the songs from being completely disgraceful.

TV Series: Oops Eeps - Now there are A LOT of songs from the TV series that I don't like, but this one takes the cake. The lyrics were flat out chlidish, the characters dancing to it looked stupid, the tune was god annoying, and it just left me with the thought of why the heck was it ever written in the first place.

Anyway, that's what I thought of the songs from each movie. I know it's a lot, but I couldn't bash on one song without bashing all of them.

"Who Needs You" is probably the only sequel song left that I sort of, kind of, like and don't mind hearing. It was my favorite song from LBTIV and was the one I would listen to the most often. It had a somewhat catchy beat to it. I also liked how the song gave character to these two meat-eaters, probably even more character than Chomper from the 2nd movie. The song also showed how unique these two villains were compared to Ozzy and Strut or Hyp, Nod, and Mutt (if you count them as villains). These two characters hate each other's guts and they aren't afraid to show it. In the song they really make this point clear. But by the end of it, they go back to working together because they knew they'd need each other to get food.

I could even go as far as say I feel this song is the best sequel song, considering that it's the only one left out of all the songs I don't mind hearing nowadays. I don't feel it's as bad as what some people make it out to be.

For me, it would have to be most of the tv series songs but I feel so happy one got really annoying. But the episode the lonely journey where the great valley celebrates the great giving and chomper feels left out so he decides to find sharpteeth and teaches them how to be friends. (bad idea chomper  <_<) There's this I feel so happy version and there's this one note where chomper is tone deaf! He sang it and I was like, What!?!?!?!. Gosh they get annoying real fast.

I'm glad that this has been bumped up recently as I'm abit hesitant to bump posts...
However, what my impression of LBT songs are is that there are some really good songs with actual meanings in them such as 'Bestest friends'', 'Always there'', 'No one has to be alone' and 'If we hold on together' but there are some that are just plain awful and pointless as though the song writers couldn't think up inspiring lyrics.  Although I dislike Ali and her singing (hurts ears) I do think that the song does display an actual meaning in the lyrics.   However, LBT songs I don't like are Who needs you, The Lone dinosaur and Big Water.

Well, in the reviews I do of the series, the songs play a major part in the critique, so I'll do my best:

2: One Of Us Now. It just doesn't work that well for me. The kids are singing like kids, rather tan like singers (As they do in later films), and the sequence that goes with it is a bit dumb too. Just the bits of them all walking round in circles. I never understood that...

3: Kids Like Us. After the Big-band-style When You're Big, and the 80s-rock-esque Standing Tough, this song just felt a bit weak. The other 2 songs were fun, and sound good on their own, as well as being parts of a movie. But this one just didn't work well for me. Pity though, because I really liked this film.

4 and 5 I haven't seen properly, so I can't comment. But from what I recall, Friends For Dinner was a pretty rotten song.

6: Bad Luck. This one was just stupid.  Lone Dinosaur, personally, I think had a good tune and a good mood to it, and On Your Own was a highlight of the film, but this one. Sorry Spike, but even your scat-singing couldn't save this one!

7: Good Inside. Such a shame, because the other 2 songs were so good in this film! It just seemed like a weak entry. I personally like the songs with strength and feeling, and they could have easily made the point of this song with a speech of some sort and moved on.

8: This film actually holds the honour of being the only film where I could sit through every song. Mad Song was just brilliantly done. Family had just an undeniable charm to it, and I actually quite liked The Lesson.

9: Imaginary Friend. Partly because Chanson D'ennui was a fun song, and No One Has To be Alone was beautiful, and this song just seemed completely silly, and was very close to being, as Nostalgia Critic would put it, a Big Lipped Alligator Moment (da-daaaa!), since the imaginary friend has no bearing on the plot, the sequence is completely over the top and bizarre to look at, and when it finishes, nobody ever mentions it again, apart from Petrie humming it to himself as he flies along. The other reason being that I hate reggae.

It's a real shame, since otherwise, the songs in this film were great, and this film is probably one of my top LBT sequels.

10: I haven't heard enough of them to critique them yet. I've only heard Adventuring all the way through, and I kinda liked it. Only real thing I criticise about this song is Littlefoot's singing voice, which is kinda flat at times.

11: Girls and Dads. This one was completely out of place, especially since it had freaking backup singers that apppear out of nowhere and just randomly join in! But that's my only real complaint, since the rest of the song was pretty good (Voices, instruments, melody, animation, etc)

12: Funnily enough, Flip Flap and Fly actually remains as one of my top LBT songs, just because it's a fun sequence and a pretty catchy song. Otherwise, the song sin this one were pretty boring.

13: Still haven't seen it, and never intend to.

I like to keep a relatively open mind about these songs. It's kinda funy, because through these songs, I've gotten into 80's hair-metal, swing Jazz, some country, and I like power-ballads even more. Does anyone else find themselves imagining No One Has To Be Alone as a Manowar-style power-ballad? I know I do. All choirs, organs, a big guitar solo in the middle, it'd be awesome...

Who needs you from LBT IV was horrendous. Icthy and Dil were horrible singers and the lyrics made no sense.

Imaginary Friends made no sense in context and Petrie sound rather bad in that song.

Now that I've seen every movie but the last one, analysed them, and forced myself to sit through all the songs, I feel a revision of the list is in order:

3: Kids Like Us. See my previous entry, plus: It's not terrible, but compared with the other 2 songs, it seems weak.

4: It Takes All Sorts. The songs in this one were odd, in that they all sounded like they were taken from a broadway musical. Grandma's Lullaby was a nice little number, and being a huge fan of villain songs, I loved Who Needs You. I would have also liked It Takes All Sorts, if it weren't for Ali's singing voice. Really off key and given the nature of the song, a bit too loud. So if they gave her a different singer, it would have been a perfect 3 in terms of songs.

5: Friends For Dinner. Similar to the above post, Chomper's singing voice really let this one down. Personally I really didn't like Chomper's voice actor in this movie. He was just so bland and flat. The song probably should have also been a bit faster. Otherwise, the songs stand out as some of the best yet.

6: None. After listening through Bad Luck again, I realised that while it may be stupid and (like all the songs in this film) not really do anything for the plot, it was really damn catchy. I've recently gained a love for Big-Band jazz, so I was sold from the very first "BA DA, BA DA, BA DA, BA...". And while Spike's scat-singing was a big weak at the beginning, by the end it was like he had turned into Satchmo.

7: Good Inside. Hasn't really changed since my last post. Other songs stood out as greats, this one just sounded generic and weak.

8: Still none.

9: Imaginary Friend. No change since my original post, except I've noticed that one of the imaginary friends kinda looks like King Gator...

10: Finally saw this one, and it has quickly risen to become my favourite sequel. One reason being the songs. Adventuring was pretty good fun, Me and My Dad wasn't bad, and Bestest Friends makes me cry every time I hear it. If I had to choose my least fav, it would probably be Me and My Dad. Adventuring was a classic, and Bestest Friends was just plain beautiful. so the middle song just couldn't hold a candle to the others.

11: None. After watching it a few times, I realised how Girls and dads was actually a pretty well done song. Granted it seems a bit silly, but it at least has a place in the plot, and is a pretty fun song, along with both the other songs. If it weren't for its mundane plot (seriouyly, we only see the Mysterious Beyond for about 30 seconds in this!), this would be a really good movie.

12: I'd say probably One of A Kind. Things Change was probably Cera's crowning moment of the whole series (aside from the bits where for no reason, her eyes turn electric blue) Flip Flap and Fly was awesome. One of a Kind was pretty bad; It's got a pretty lame chorus, bad message, and Petrie singing about an octave too high.

13: Still haven't seen it, and never intend to.

While I can understand of why people have a strong dislike towards the song, "Eggs", at least it had a point. I just feel that some of the LBT songs had no point at all...

Despite their egg puns not exactly being all that funny, it helped give the audience a better understanding of Ozzy and Strut's character.

I find the tune to it to be rather catchy, and I'm not ashamed to admit that I like that song...

Some of the other LBT songs that I generally enjoy are "If We Hold On Together", "Very Important Creature", and "Always There."

As far as of any of the LBT songs that I currently dislike would be "Big Water." I'm sorry, the song was just really weird when I first listened to it...

Where to begin?

Friends for dinner was stupid with the bad tune and terrible singing, which prevented it from being all that much fun; the lyrics were disturbing, and not in the fun-scary way they were for "Big Water"; the "telephone conversation" shot of the characters, followed by Chomper appearing in a bubble at the bottom of the screen, was so lame...it was just...cheesy and lame.

Chanson D'Ennui: First of all why is it even called that?! Secondly, while the tune was nice, it didn't go well with the godawful animation. More "telephone convo." shots, more stupid "character in bubble" shots...and it could all have been summed up in the 2 last words we get: "I'm bored!"

Imaginary Friend: DON'T GET ME STARTED!!!!!

Big Water (in LBT 9):
Quote

LBT IX: Big Water - The first time a song was redone in a sequel, and it was nowhere near as good as before. Why were they singing it like they were happy? Last time they were scared to death of it. It just didn't sound good at all.

You said it! I mean, ruin a fantastic song?! This song was originally meant to display their FEARS, not make them feel better! AGGH!

The Lesson: What can I say? Dull, overlong, but at least endurable.

The Lone Dinosaur: Awful story visuals, none of it true,   having those stupid, god awful, sickily cute "nieces" of cera's around (who I hope are gone for GOOD!), and why the hell are they giving us a country song?!

Adventuring: Lots of lame visuals, undoubtedly trying to match the success of the original "Big Water"---AND FAILING!

Flip flap fly: Bad singing from those stupid idiot flyer judges. Seriously I wanna kill them in midair

Yellow Belly Bounce: I haven't even seen it and I know how bad this one is!!

Grandma's lullaby: God, as a kid i loved movie 4 but could not stand this song. Dull, boring, and she looked so weird at the end cause she was both crying and smiling weirdly. But I've since discovered a lot of the songs i mentioned above so this one is great it comparision. She sounds a little young for a grandma, though.

Okay, that's over![/QUOTE]

Quote
BT V: Big Water - I don't really hate the song, but I don't like it as much as the other two songs. The tune is kind of catchy, the cast did a nice job singing it, but nowhere near as good as Always There. Also, it wasn't as fun and playful as Friends for Dinner, but then again that's because the song was meant to display their fears.

Well, so was Friends for dinner, but whereas Big Water did a good job, Friends for dinner did it in a sickening way by making it funny. It was really fun and playful in a sort of sickening way. Ugh.

Quote
LBT VI: Bad Luck - I'm sorry, but not even Spike's awesome singing could save this. The song was completely pointless. I mean, sure Lone Dinosaur was kind of dumb, but at least it was telling a legend. This was just saying, "Oh this is bad luck, and that is bad luck," WE GOT IT!

Sure, Bad Luck may have been kind of pointless, but so was "Lone dinosaur"...the story it tells is NOT TRUE

For me it has to be the mad song from LBT 8. I mean no song that starts with "When your tummy feels all sticky and hot like it's filled with bubbly goo." is going to be good, I do love Cera but that song of hers was bloody awful!
In fact that song is one of the reasons the 8th film is my 2nd most hated squeal.

I also HATE Big Water, I remember very clearly seeing the 5th film for the first time and hating that song right away what with their silly idea of what under the big water...
I also don't like Friends for dinner what with it's silly modern day food references. I mean how the flying hell would dinosaurs know what soup, stew, pie and liver of duck is!?

There is no such thing as THE worst LBT song. All of them (those from the movies at least) are really good or at least okay. But it is also obvious that not all songs of the Tv-series are that great :p I couldn't name a particular one right now but there are some (and no, Oops-Eeps is not among those that are really bad)

I guess I'll go with Chanson D'Ennui. I'm sorry but adding a song about being bored is not a good idea for a movie, which is suppose to entertain. (Would be better if the song about boredom was not so boring in itself)

Probably "Eggs".  Think it might be the tune, but I'm not very fond of it.

On the flip side, "Eggs" does establish the difference between Ozzy and Strut as much as "Who Needs You" quite underscores why Dil and Ichy don't get along so well and also serves a useful purpose.  However, perhaps the tunes are annoying.

I love the tune of "Friends for Dinner" though I admit, the mental pictures it gives are, er, disturbing.  i.e.

Cera
You won't think it's funny,
When he chews on you.

Cera
He'll munch and he'll crunch
Those little duck feet.

Petrie
If he just eats Spike,
Wouldn't that be enough?

(That one actually was pretty funny.     :lol  )

Ducky
He would spit out Cera,
'Cause she's too tough!

Cera
Spoken:Hey!

(That was even funnier!    :lol  :lol  :lol  )

Ducky
We'd rather sink in the mud,

Petrie
Fall out of the tree,

Cera
Roll like a rock
Right into the sea.

(Are they saying they'd rather kill themselves than be eaten????       )

Cera
He'll gnaw your arm
And he'll nibble your leg

Petrie
He'll bite off your beak

Ducky
That would hurt

Chomper: I wonder if this tastes good.  (Puts green food in his mouth and eats it or tries to)

All of them: Yuck!

(Hilarious!    :lol  )

On the flip side, Littefoot is really showing his loyalty to Chomper despite the doubts of the others, particularly Cera.  (Who, soon, will show her doubts outloud to everyone, including Chomper.  It is quite obvious from this song that she really distrusts Chomper the most of all of them.)

Littlefoot
He just wants to have
Friends for dinner.

Littlefoot
That's not a very nice thing to do

Littlefoot
He can't eat vegetables,
Only meat.

Littlefoot
But we've known Chomper
Since he was an egg

All in all, still loved the song.  Liked it too in the "Brave Longneck Scheme" (which, thankfully, other than the "I wonder if Rhett tastes good.  (Not that I'd mind if he ate Rhett.  :smile ) , was much less graphic word imagery wise)

Also, I am not a fan of "Lone Dinosaur" either, or indeed most of that entire movie.   However, there were the lines, that went something like:

Cera:  We'd better be back.  You don't want to see Grandpa Threehorn mad.  He can be as a mad as a......
Dana and Dinah: (Spotting a Sharptooth) Sharptooth!
Cera: I don't know about that.   Well.....maybe.

That was hilarious!

I really don't dislike too many LBT songs.

Title: WORST LBT Song Ever!
Post by: Littlefoot fan 1990 on June 25, 2017, 09:03:59 PM
As for my opinion of Me and My Dad, Littlefoot's voice sounded off-key. It also seemed out of place for me.

While It Takes All Sorts has a positive message, I wasn't too keen on Ali's singing voice; if they had chosen someone else to do her singing voice, it might have been a song I would like more. Same with Grandma's Lullaby; although, Linda Gary's voice wasn't too bad, I still think that hiring an actual singer to do Grandma's singing voice would have put this song higher in a list of great LBT sequel songs.

Creepy Crawlies was okay; but, other than Topsy and Grandpa Longneck and maybe even Ducky and Petrie's mothers; the other adults' singing voices were barely tolerable. I still like it better than the second reprise that plays during the end credits (Stoopid Stompers).

When it comes to You're One of Us Now, I used to like it as a kid; maybe I listened to it too many times and I just got sick of it. Same thing goes for Peaceful Valley.

As for the song Imaginary Friends, I found Petrie's voice to be off-key; but, still more tolerable than the majority of the adults singing Creepy Crawlies. I used to like this song when the movie first came out; but, the song got annoying after a while since Journey to Big Water was the second most watched sequel I had besides The Mysterious Island.

While I like Aria Curzon and Anndi McAfee's singing voices, The Mad Song used to be one of my favorites, but, after listening to it quite a lot, it got annoying; but, I always thought that beginning line didn't sound right; and doesn't sound like something Cera would say; I don't think tummy is a word she would use in her regular vocabulary; it sounds more like what Ducky or Petrie might say; I never liked that word either; I always thought it was kind of childish.

Lone Dinosaur was okay I guess; but, as much as I like country music, it just didn't quite fit in with the LBT universe. I feel now that as an adult, On Your Own is a song that tried to drag the movie out a little longer.

The Yellow Belly Bounce song is basically the same reason as On Your Own; it drags the plot on longer; I personally thought that the song was pointless; I feel the same way about Say So.

While One of a Kind is the better of the two songs I dislike from LBT12; and like with Imaginary Friends, I found Petrie's voice to be a bit off-key; although, I still like it better than Flip, Flap and Fly; speaking of which, I thought those flyer judges didn't have very good voices; for this song, Tress MacNeille had the best singing voice even during her voice role as Petrie's mom. I also found the lyrics to be repetitive.

Those are my reasons for why I dislike those songs.

For me the worst LBT song is "Better Off Alone," from Journey of the Brave. The reason is that it is so out of character. Little Foot wants to abandon his friends, when in LBT II and many other instances he makes the point of always coming to their rescue or staying together? The only positive is that it separates the Gang long enough for Cesar Petrie and Little Foot to meet Etta. The only defense of this song could be LBTIV where Ali leads Little Foot away from his friends, but this is not same as Little Foot leaving his friends of his own volition. Granted Little Foot did leave because he wants to save Bron, but still its so out of character.

I don't think the song's too out of character. We all have worse days and one of the film's main points was the divide forming in the Gang because of Littlefoot's hurry to find Bron. I found the song and the whole sequence a nice way to remind that the Gang is far from perfect.

There is not a single LBT song that I don't like. *grabs popcorn and waits for everyone to start hating on me*

Now I will say that there are some that I like more than others, and accordingly, some that I like less. A few of the ones I like less include Oops Eeps, Say So, Better Off Alone, Me And My Dad, and Stupid Stompers (I think Creepy Crawlies is much better).

The Legend Of The Lone Dinosaur is actually one of my favorites, and it always has been! I even used it as my ringtone for while. I don't get why everyone hates it. It's such a fun song. I'm the only one in the fandom who likes it, though, aren't I? :(petrie

I know that many LBT songs aren't of the same caliber as If We Hold On Together, Always There, or No One Has To Be Alone, but some of them are just plain fun songs. Honestly, the same kinda goes for me with non-LBT music: I like all the beloved classics like Man In The Mirror, Stairway To Heaven, Piano Man, etc, and then there are others I like that are of lower caliber but are just fun songs or ones I just like for some weird reason, such as Don't Trust Me, Like A G6, Party Rock Anthem, etc.

I don't remember if I already commented here or not. if I already did sorry for repeating myself :p

My opinion is pretty much in accordance to Littlefoot's take on this. While there are obviously songs I like more than others, there's none that I remember (my tv-series memory is a bit vague) that I'd outright skip for not liking them. I know some songs from the series were kinda... meh :p But they weren't outright terrible so I don't hate them or anything...

Also, apologies for saying this but... I kinda like Oops-Eeps  :lol

I can never understand why as to me, it's the worst song in the series. :p Some other songs that suck are Me and My Dad, When You're Big and Girls and Dads but apart from those, I'm fine with all the others. :) Yellow Belly Bounce isn't a bad song but such a scene (as with Yellow Bellies as a whole) doesn't have a place in LBT, imo.

I don't know if I consider it the worst song necessarily, but I was not a fan of "Friends For Dinner". After the surprisingly catchy "Big Water" and the emotional high of "Always There", "Friends For Dinner" just came off as such a buzzkill. And such a lame concept for a song too.

I quickly got sick of "Feel So Happy" song in the TV series. Nowadays, I'll just skip past it whenever I watch an episode that has it.

As for the movies, I didn't really like the songs in III, nor did I really enjoy "Friends for Dinner."

The "Yellow Belly Dance?" Well, I'll confess, the only reason I liked it at all was because we got to see the kids dance to it. It was probably the only part I enjoyed about that blasphemous movie.

^Eh, I'll say I'm sick of the song Adventuring. It sends out the most redundant message to the audience. For example...

"Hey Kids, we're going on our 1,000,000th adventure! Come join us for another song about adventuring into the wilderness without your parents permission, which will ultimately end up killing you if you're not careful! :D"

As for Feel So Happy, there's actually varying content for each time they sing, and I think the song is kinda sweet honestly.

^I listened to it again just now. As a song in itself, I actually don't think it's all that bad. I guess I just dislike its placement in the film more than anything, and the scene itself I didn't care for. It dampened what was otherwise one of the strongest sequels for me.

More generally, I wish that they'd done maybe two songs per film instead of three or four. With only two songs, I feel that they could've made them overall more consistently good.

H&S from Journey of the Brave is probably the most pointless song of the entire series, it was so stupid and you can tell it was a total filler song.

Peaceful Valley makes my ears bleed

Grandma’s Lullaby gets stuck in my head, so I have to skip it when I watch LBT 4

Creepy Crawlies is just pure cringe

I'm usually pretty lenient towards the songs, but there are some that rub me the wrong way. Some of the songs I don’t like are:

You’re One of Us Now – Given the way Cera and the others proceed to act towards Chomper after one “oops-eeps”, it just makes them kinda look like jerks :petrienotamused
Grandma’s Lullaby – Sorry y'all :oops Yeah I know this is a well-liked one, but honestly it just sounds pretty rough. R E P E A T I N G
The original version of Friends for Dinner - Just felt really unpleasant and mean-spirited towards Chomper on the gang's behalf. The TV series one is more fun and generally pleasant since by now they've embraced Chomper completely.
On Your Own – Littlefoot, for as much as he likes spending time with his friends, shouldn’t turn into a blubbering wreck just because he’s alone. Everyone needs their alone time after all. Plus it just bored me :areyouserious
Imaginary Friends – It’s an okay song, but I have to agree it doesn’t show much point with the rest of the movie. Not to mention those turtles take WAY too much offense to what Cera says about a concept they only just heard of :lol
How Do You Know? – So boring it put the yellowbellies to sleep. You have to be a special kind of boring to bore THEM :doofahCringe
Today’s the Day – Even LITTLEFOOT forgot this song the moment he stopped singing it! :rolleye
Hot and Stinky - *gross joke goes here*
Better Off Alone – Alice Deejay you are not. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lgs9QUtWc3M)

The Dad song from The Great Longneck Migration is also pretty bad.

I remember seeing a YouTube review from Bobsheaux about this song, and one of the comments he said sarcastically about this song was that this was the perfect song to play to children so they can cry not knowing what it’s like to have Dad.

So yeah, this song was a bad idea to make knowing some children live with a divorced parent.

I never saw it that way but in hindsight it could make a fatherless child really depressed.

Feel So Happy. Oh-oh-oh, those lyrics; quite the earworm. I also didn't like the countless renditions of Adventuring.

Note: The Adventuring song played during the 10th movie is much better than the multiple renditions among who knows how many episodes of the TV series.

What better way to spend my 8,000th post than to rag on “Oops-Eeps”. Terrible melody, terrible lyrics, and canonically false as literally nobody ever uses the phrase anywhere else in the franchise, certainly not “whenever they make a mistake”. (All these complaints are equally levied against “Say So.” Y’all been learning lessons for thirteen films now, ain’t never referred to them as ‘wisdoms.’ Y’all lying)

“The Amazing Threehorn Girl” from the TV show also has so many forced lines via adding bonus syllables that it’s painful to listen to. Complete travesty considered its stealing and butchering the melody from  “Beyond the Mysterious Beyond,” the best song in the whole franchise.

Oh my gosh I can't believe I haven't mentioned Creepy Crawlies yet. It is catchy but also really dumb.

I would say stupid stompers from XI.
the voices are just horrid for singing, also it sounds just like creepy crawlies which is annoying. (I get that its spouse to but that song is trash as well In my eyes) so that brings it down to smh  :facepalm. Its also not the best film so that takes some points off just awful 1/10.
