Title: Wired or Wireless Mouse?
Post by: pokeplayer984 on May 13, 2008, 09:12:04 AM
Let's face it, the mouse is pretty dang important for your desktop computer.  There's just SO much that you would either have a difficult or impossible time doing without it.

Over the 4 years (Just recently became 4 years old. :)) I've had my computer, I've had the privilege of trying both a wired and wireless mouse.  I started out with a wired one like most people and it served me well for the most part.  It was a simple 3-button mouse.  It had nice sensitivity, no question asked, and the buttons worked QUITE well.  However, the main problem were those times I had to reset the position by lifting the mouse off the pad, bringing it to another position and then having it moveable from there.  However, I was willing to put up with the tolerable problem.

Why did I give it up in the end?  Because my mouse just died on me one day. :(

The main thing was that the pointer for the mouse wouldn't move anywhere.  I tought the ball was dirty or something, but no matter what I tried, the problem just wasn't fixed until I plugged in another one.  The one I used temporarily was from my Dad's computer, and he was just too busy that day to have any time to use it. (Seriously, he was literally TOO busy.) However, I knew I needed a new one that very day.  So, off to the electronics department I go and I find quite a variety of choices, both from the wired and wireless.  In the end, I chose a 5-button wireless mouse that was easy to grip, didn't have the ball, but instead a laser point and a scroll wheel.

How well has it sereved me?  Better than my old one ever could. :P:

The sensitivity it holds makes it and so that I don't have to move it around as much as I needed to before, meaning less repositioning.  It even did a number of functions in far less time than my wired one.  It was just basically out-performed by this sleek wireless mouse.  The only problem is that it runs on batteries, so I have to replace them every once in a while, but have only needed to do so twice within it's just over 6-month use.

In the end, I prefer my wireless.  It just works so much better in the end. :)

So, how about you guys?  Which do you have and which do you prefer?

Anyone who doesn't prefer wireless hasn't tried a good quality one.  I admit it.  $30 mouse and keyboard sets are okay, but they just can't match the quality of sets that are just a little bit more.  My HP set was on sale for $50 and it matches any wired mouse I have in terms of performance, and I have some pretty freaking expensive wired mice!

I have got a wires one and a wireless. I prefer wireless because the wire sometimes was too short and you dont get stuck in the wire =P. It was a cheap one but still it works perfectly fine!

For me:
Latop: wire
Stationary: wireless

That's what I feel most confortable with.
I like wireless, it's goood!  :P:

Portable wireless laptop mice SUCK!  There's no getting around it.  I even bought a really expensive $120 microsoft brand wireless portable laptop mouse and it STILL sucked. <_<

I prefer wired. They serve my purpose just fine. I don't need some fancy wireless mouse. Besides, in my opinion, they're not all that great. I had tried one before and it was terrible in my opinion. Hurt my hand too.

The more expensive the wireless mouse, the better it feels.  You need to spend a lot to get a decent one otherwise it's not worth the experience and it's more hassle than it's worth.

That is true, I will admit.  I have only used older wireless products (aside from video game controllers on the Wii, Xbox 360 and PS3).  Bluetooth wireless products are amazing and the battery life is typically very good.

I am still a fan of wired, mainly because I never have to think about my batteries dying.  To be fair, new wireless mouses last up to 6 months before even needing a charge.....I suppose I like my current wired laser mouse so much that I see absolutely no reason to replace it with a wireless model.

As for keyboards...same thing.   I love my wired keyboard so much that it would take a very, Very good reason for me to want to replace it.

Wired only because my twenty year old boombox isn't magnetically shielded and it would muck with the wireless radio in the mouse. :p  Wired's cool as well because they don't eat batteries.

I can't afford spending so much money just on a wireless mouse. I'll stick to wired mice until I'm forced to use a wireless.

Let me ask this: the more dpi the mouse has, the faster the cursor moves?

Sort of.  The more DPI a mouse has, the more precisely a mouse will read the surface that it's working on and the faster it *can potentially* move.  A higher DPI setting with the same mouse speed settings in software (like Windows or a game) will result in a faster speed.  A major benefit of DPI in a mouse is the ability to read hard-to-read surfaces, such as glossy black or glass.  Another benefit is in games where you need to control weapons or vehicles of various turning speeds.

I absolutely MUST have a mouse with a very high DPI because of photoshop work and the fact that I'm working on large resolutions with large monitors.  1000DPI or less just won't work for me.  The model I have has a wopping 1800DPI, which makes precision photoshopping actually possible.  If you don't have a decent mouse, just forget about ever getting really good at photoshop.

I've never understood the purpose of wireless keyboards.  I mean, if you don't move them, what's the point?  I used to like having a wireless keyboard so I could operate the computer from far away, but now they make the range really crappy.  Most won't go over 2-3 feet. <_<

I'll never understand the deal about more dpi. I don't really understand how there is any difference at all. All mice are the same to me when it comes to movement.

I disagree. As long as you can move the cursor just fine (an 800 dpi works well, in my opinion, since I've used one for years), then you can learn how to Photoshop. I don't believe a fancy 1800 dpi is required for getting really good at Photoshop.

Believe it or not, you can't get any better if you don't have the tools to do it.  You may be a fine photoshopper, but there's no way to increase your skill without a better mouse.  Think of it this way:

When you move the mouse to the right, let's say it moves .35px.  The image you're working on is 566px by 739px.  You can only get so close to the line of the image.  Now, the higher the DPI, the less px it moves every time you move the mouse.  I'm sure a 1800DPI mouse moves at like .018px, which allows for much higher precision.  Of course, the higher DPI you have, the faster you have to set your mouse speed in the control panel because it scans more area as you move it which makes it slower unless you compensate with the settings in the control panel.

I'm looking into getting a mouse for my laptop.  The pad at the bottom that you use to move the cursor is just SO sensitive. (Clicks when it shouldn't at times.) So I'm getting a mouse to get around it all.  What would you guys recommend?

For laptops I prefer a simple USB laser mouse.

My advice is to just get used to it.  They've been using pad mice for over a decade now.  It's time to adapt people!  You get used to it.  Getting a separate mouse just makes it suck when you have to travel and you need to use the computer without the ability to hook up a separate mouse.  I don't understand what's so bad about them.  Yeah, I hated them for about 2 months, but after daily use, it becomes just as natural as a regular mouse.  Heck, if it wasn't so dang expensive, I'd get a wireless pad for my desktop computers instead of a regular mouse.  I'll admit that I haven't met even one "regular" computer user that likes the pad mice, but that's because they immediately went out and hooked up a regular mouse to it.  If you don't get used to it, how are you ever going to like it?  Now, what I really hated was the old style mouse on laptops that was like a little eraser.  Those sucked!  I did eventually adapt though and now I can use both types without difficulty.  I have one rather new computer with an eraser mouse.  I prefer the pad, but I'm just as comfortable with the eraser.

It is rather new.  Here are the specs:

1.8ghz dual core processor (P4)

1GB of ram (max of 2GB)

200GB hard drive

Came with xp home, installed xp pro

It is my personal laptop, but it's in my shop because of a fan problem.  I think it's just dust.  I hope the fan isn't going out. :cry  I got the thing for only $120........2 years ago!  It was such a great deal. :^.^:

My eeepc has a touchpad and that is ok, I"m getting use to using it, though sometimes using the direction buttons is easier for more controlled scrolling.  For desktops I'll only use wired mice.  Every wireless mouse I tried, regardless of brand, always quit working for no reason.  It wasn't the batteries since I changed those when they showed signs of having little power left.

Three years I had my wireless and it finally stopped working. (Mouse pointer works, but the buttons are useless.) I thought something was wrong with it.  The buttons just weren't working as well anymore.  When it finally gave out, I thought the computer program was frozen, but a restart proved me wrong when the buttons STILL weren't working.

I tried all sorts of things, but nothing could make the buttons work.

Now that I have a brand new mouse installed, everything is working just fine.

My Microsoft one lasted for 3 years.  Considering how much I abused it, it had a good run.

Let's see how long my new one lasts under my belt.

^Haha.  I'm still using the HP mouse and keyboard set I talked about nearly 4 years ago in this topic.  It's still going strong.  The mouse has a huge ugly worn spot on it, but it still works great.  This is on my master machine that usually gets 5+ hours per day of use.  I've recently started playing computer games like Oblivion and I'm having to click a lot.  I wonder how much longer this mouse and keyboard set will last?  One thing's for sure, it's the best mouse and keyboard set I've ever owned.  If anyone's interested in buying one, you can take a look at it here:

It doesn't look very good in the picture, but it looks great in person.  And it's lasted me about 5 years with no signs of dying yet.  In fact, I just purchased another one off eBay for only $24 including shipping.  Talk about a great deal!

I've had my wireless mouse and keyboard for about 2 years now, with no problems. I only vouched for wireless because I wanted to eliminate as many wires as I could in the back of my computer (they're very annoying when you have to constantly pull it out to work on it). I've had the same batteries in these things for practically as long as I've owned them :p

Also, it's funny that you mention the whole dpi and photoshop thing, because I bought a laser mouse and I did notice it was considerably easier to move the lasso tool smoothly in photoshop. In my school they have optical mice that seem cheap, and I have a hard time keeping the cursor perfectly steady when working in photoshop. My mouse is only 1000 dpi, which is fine for me, but I bet if I got a much higher dpi mouse, I would probably notice it being even easier to be accurate with the lasso, as well as other tools in photoshop.

Wow!  Today was the first time I had to change the batteries in my new wireless mouse.  That's 5 1/2 months on 2 AA batteries.  Considering how much I abused it, that's actually pretty good. :)

However, it was a little picky about starting again.  I had to turn the switch on and off a few times before it started working again.  Not too bad of a thing, but it was annoying.

Also, the reviews for this thing showed it would only last six weeks, but I've had it for much longer with no issues.  To be honest, I don't see what people are complaining about. :P:

I'm going to have to get a new mouse at some point. I'm experiencing a familiar problem with this mouse that I did before: a single mouse is sometimes registered as multiple clicks, making it hard for me to do some tasks. I can manage for now, but it is getting annoying.

I still have no interest in a wireless mouse, though this time it's because nearly all of my USB ports are taken and the only available ones are in the back. It's hard for me to get to them. I'm pretty sure wireless mice still require a USB port.
Title: Wired or Wireless Mouse?
Post by: pokeplayer984 on June 30, 2012, 01:24:00 PM
^^Yes, all wireless mice use a USB port.  Sadly, wired ones are looking like they'll take the same route soon.  However, if you are running out of usable USB ports, you can get a USB Hub for just a few bucks.  They take up one USB port, but give you 4 to 12 in return. (Depending on price and brand.)

Shop around online for a while and you'll be surprised at the great deals you can find for them. :)

Yeah that can be annoying. With the wiimotes, before my brother bought rechargeable batteries (oh how I love those), we had to constantly buy batteries to play because they'd drain fast. I have a feeling the same will happen with the computer. I use the computer a lot so the batteries could drain fast.

Now if I can find rechargeable batteries like we have for the Wii, I might be a bit more interested in trying wireless. But if not, I'll stick with wired.

No gamer should ever use wireless anything unless they want their character to just stop responding to your input, usually at the worst possible time.

Back in the beginning of wireless technology, I'd agree with you wholeheartedly.  But nowadays if you just spend enough money for a decent one ($80-$150) and make sure to change the battery every few months, you're fine.

Oh and Darkhououmon, there's probably no one on this forum that uses their computer more than I do on a daily basis and I can tell you my mouse lasts 6 months easy before having to replace the battery.  So long as you bought a decent brand (Logitech, Microsoft, etc.) you shouldn't have any problems.  Rechargeable batteries on the other hand aren't nearly as reliable and don't last as long either.  You'll probably only get 4 months out of them.  Even less depending on how many times you've recharged them.  Rechargeable batteries should be reserved for things you don't use for an extended period of time.  For example, a remote controlled car.  They can be used for other things, but are usually far inferior to their non-rechargeable counterparts once they've been charged a few dozen times.

I don't really have the option to dish out $80-$120. For a mouse, that's quite pricey. I usually don't spend more than $20 on a mouse and they generally last a while.

As for computer usage, I'm typically on the computer from when I wake up (about 9 AM, sometimes earlier) to when I got to bed (around 12-1 AM is about when I get off). I do get off once in a while but usually don't stay off more than 3 hours. So on average, I would say about 17 hrs a day on the computer.

So, the mouse I had gave in and doesn't work anymore.  The pointer is just GONE!  Plugged in the one for my laptop and pointer works just fine, so it was the mouse.

Got a new one just last night.  A 5-button GearHead Black Wireless Mouse with a smooth scroll wheel.  It was on clearance for $8.00.  It is an improvement over the old one.  Especially with the wheel as the old one kept jerking the page up and down every time I used it.  The new one is really smooth.  I just love it! :)littlefoot

One interesting function I have found is that it has an interesting way on saving battery life.  If you leave it alone for say an hour, it automatically turns off and you have to toggle the switch off and on to make it work.  Something I'll definitely have to get used to with this baby.

We'll see how well this battery saving one works. :)

Wired.

No batteries to consume. That alone is what makes a wired mouse better than a wireless one.
Title: Wired or Wireless Mouse?
Post by: DarkHououmon on April 28, 2016, 04:37:34 PM
Wireless for me nowadays. A wired mouse just feels heavy and the cord can get stuck or get pulled down. At least with a wireless, you can move it around without feeling restrained so much. True there is the need to buy batteries, but you can get them for a buck at certain places that last quite a while. So that hardly diminishes any value with the wireless mice. I can go on for months without having to buy more batteries for this wireless mouse.

I've been using a wireless mouse for years now and I can't imagine going back to wired. I find that wired mice just feel clunkier than the wired ones. We use wired mice at school and they drive me crazy because the cord gets stuck or is looped around in a weird way that I can't change. It'd be nice if they used wireless instead.

On my desk? Wired all the way....with a qualifier:

I picked up a USB extension cable which lets me route the mouse wire exactly how I want. This lets me keep it from getting pulled and removes the heaviness that comes with dragging a cable around with your mouse. I simply place the connection point on the desk with plenty of slack for the mouse so the cable other than the cable immediately near the mouse never moves. Best of both worlds. :)

For my living room PC that I can use from the couch? Wireless, definitely.  :lol I had a wired mouse down there and even USB extension cables didn't keep it and the keyboard from being unwieldy. Wireless has definitely made life better down there.

Wired.  I appreciate the lack of need for batteries, and the improved response time.  I often had lags when I had a wireless mouse which could be problematic on some games where reaction time was critical.

What do you mean 'very expensive'? The ones I buy are $1 and they come in packs of six. THey're low end batteries yes, meant for low drain. But a single one of these batteries lasts several months before I have to replace it with another one from the pack.

So, that black Gearhead I bought last year has been replaced.  The scroll wheel stopped working.  I'm too used to using it to move a page up and down.

Now I have an onn 4-button wireless mouse for my desktop.  This one has the function that if I stop using it for a period of time, it'll stop function to save on power until I click the mouse to restart it.  It actually helps save power while I'm asleep.  Sure a little annoying, but it helps.

We'll see how it goes with this one.

I've always used a wired mouse and I haven't had any problems with the cord getting in the way. I use higher sensitivity so I only have to move my mouse about 3cm to reach on side of the screen to the other, mostly due to the fact my small desk is all cluttered.

I should note that I have never owned a laptop and I would probably use a wireless mouse in that case.

Wired all the way. Great response time, no antenna to lose and no batteries to change.

Hell, I still use the old PS/2 wired mouse (complete with ball) and keyboard. Of course, this requires a direct connection to the computer or an AC powered USB hub.

I haven't used a PS/2 mouse or keyboard in years. I think the last time I did, it was with an XP computer. And I recall not knowing that PS/2 aren't hot swappable so I wound up giving my computer a BSOD when I unplugged (or replugged, forget which) a PS/2 keyboard from it.

A friend of mine also prefers wired due to not having to worry about the battery. It doesn't bother me much as a single cheap battery (from the dollar store) is able to last a long time without needing to be changed.

With the proper PS/2 to USB converter (not adapter ) you can make a PS/2 keyboard or mouse hot swappable.

But like I said, you will need an AC powered USB hub or a direct connection to the computer to do so as it draws quite a bit of power for a USB device.

Well, my laptop mouse was acting weird.  Basically, the mouse pointer was going all over the place.  Usually, this means the battery is near dead.  However, even after putting in new batteries, it was still acting weird.

I have replaced said mouse with a Blackweb 6-button mouse.  It's working well now.  Let's see how long this one lasts.

A few months ago, my red laptop's left mouse button was having issues clicking. Unfortunately, this is the same one I use for fanfiction, fanart and video projects, as my other laptop is used primarily for gaming and emulators.

This summer, it became obvious that the left mouse button was practically crumbling underneath the shell, and eventually, one morning, it pressed down and never came back up, so I slammed the power button to turn it off. We ended up having to take the cover off the mouse button and actually remove the button itself. As a result, we had to make adjustments to the mouse driver, and this laptop has forever lost the ability to do click and drags with the left button, and I have to tap down on the touchpad for a left click.

My new laptop has a touchpad that I don't like, and I'm already using a wireless mouse for that one. Sadly, though, in recent days, my old laptop's right mouse button has started to show signs of wear, too, and I'm afraid that the laptop I've been using these past 3 1/2 years for writing stories and making artwork may soon become subject to permanent use of a wireless mouse.  :(

I too prefer wired once over wireless, I have used those before, and they we're not satisfactory enough for me. They seemed to be bit slower than wired ones, of course this could also be what kind of wireless one you use. I don't remember mine, but it definitely felt really weird in my hand. Currently I have GMX 4, and while it's good, the cord is starting to fragment a little. Might have to buy new one sooner than thought. :(

I've been using a hand me down of some type of wired razer mouse that has worked really well for me so far. Never really bothered with wireless as it just seems uneccessary.

I've got a wireless mouse at work and a wired one for home use. I'm not preferential to either. I'd say the cable of my wired mouse tends to get stuck every now and then, so I might prefer wireless these days. Battery time is no longer an issue and their accuracy is quite nice, assuming you get a decent mouse. ^^

I too prefer wired mouses, and it is what I currently have with both my desktop and my laptop computer, although part of that is simply because it's what I grew up with and it's what I'm used to. Creature of habit, I suppose.  :TreeStar  I remember trying out wireless many years ago and having issues with it connecting properly. I imagine technology has improved a lot since then. But still, even there, I like not having to use a battery. I understand that some people have issues with the cords being too short or getting in the way, but that was never a problem for me.

I wanted to ask, what kind of a wireless mouse you would suggest? I've run into lot of crabby ones before and don't want to make that mistake again.  :yes

I personally prefer a wireless mouse. Wires in general do get in the way and they're pretty annoying as they take up space. Yeah, I get used to it after awhile, but it would still occasionally bug me at certain times. I'm actually using a wireless right now, since the old wired Mouse I used is broken. Well...it still works somewhat, it's just that the mouse keeps disconnecting from the computer so often for no reason, and I have to keep unplugging and plugging it in for the computer to detect input of the mouse again. I did that for awhile until I finally said, "Enough is enough!"

This question is still in need of an answer, and unfortunately I don't have an answer for it myself. :(

I bought a fancy new mouse not that long ago that flashes different colours. I was really happy with it, but now the wheel has stopped working correctly. It sure makes it annoying when I'm playing Minecraft and trying to scroll through my inventory hotbar.

This is the worst. I have 3 old mice lying around, all with this issue. Either the mouse wheel no longer clicks or it scrolls incorrectly. I wonder if it can be easily fixed somehow, but mine are usually just discarded and replaced.

I've recently replaced my wired mouse (http://www.gangoffive.net/index.php?topic=3465.msg487818#msg487818) at home with one that can be used both as wired and wireless. Really happy with the purchase so far and really hoping the scroll wheel lasts longer.

Huh. None of the mouses I've ever used had a mouse wheel problem. They work fine all the way to their expiration date!

StardustSoldier, you tend to get things in the pink color variety I notice. ;)
It's a cool mouse, I'll say. I'm not sure if I'd spend more unnecessary money on products for pure asethetics, but that's my personal opinion on that. :)

This is the first time in a long time that I've had a mouse wheel problem. Usually my mice stop working properly because the click button becomes too sensitive and then it'll keep double-clicking when I don't want it too. Still, yeah, it's probably time for me to get another mouse.

StardustSoldier, you tend to get things in the pink color variety I notice. ;)

You know, when you originally brought this up on my Ask thread if pink was my favourite colour, based on my purchasing history, I only thought about my headphones. I completely forgot about this. At the time, however, I was just looking for a basic wired mouse because I needed a new one. I didn't realize it came with the spiffy colours until after I set it up. The light on the mouse flashes between blue, pink, and red, and I just so happened to take the photo when it was on pink.

So, while the pink headphones were a deliberate decision, this was a coincidence. Thus, I don't actually have a habit of buying pink products, despite how it may have seemed. :P

In many cases that's how I feel as well. But this mouse only cost me $20. And, as I mentioned, I didn't know about the neat colours originally anyway, although it's cheap enough and the colours impressed me enough that I wouldn't mind paying a bit more for a fancier mouse in the future.

Then again, maybe the fact that it was so cheap explains why it doesn't work properly any more. :rolleyes

Haha, the mouse would've been better for its price if it didn't have those flashy pink, blue, and red colors. They might of perhaps sacrificed quality for pure looks. :rolleyes

Also, the next time that you purchase a more expensive mouse with flashy lights, *coincidentally* take the picture when it lights up at pink again. :p

At the moment, I really enjoy the wireless mouse I'm using. I don't feel so restricted using it unlike the wired mouse. :)

I guess I was a bit prejudiced about a wireless mouse, because I am using one with my laptop and it has been working flawlessly thus far. It's a Logitech mouse, but do not ask me exactly what, cause I do not know the answer to that question as I happened to buy the cheapest and best I could find so I wouldn't have to unplug my desktop mouse every time I wanted to use my laptop instead. I think it really matters which manufacturer you buy the mouse from in the end.

No gamer should ever use wireless anything unless they want their character to just stop responding to your input, usually at the worst possible time.

If you're a gamer, never use wireless.

Also, I noticed that someone else commented about their mouse wheel problem, and I have one myself. Actually, I've had this for quite a while now and it's starting to get to the point I can't stand it anymore. My current desktop mouse is pretty old by now, so no wonder if the equipment will start to malfunction sooner or later. Nevertheless, I can live with it for the time being, but I would most definitely welcome another one if I found one that's to my liking, which sadly hasn't occurred yet.

I still use wired mouses, although I wouldn't mind giving wireless another try sometime. I'm not super-keen about having to use a battery, but on the other hand I do have tons of spare batteries that are currently sitting there unused.

Anyway, I fixed my mouse wheel problem... sort of. The wheel causes me the most grief when I'm playing Minecraft, and I always play Minecraft on my desktop. So what I did is swap my desktop and laptop mouses, as my laptop mouse wheel is currently working fine. I still need to get a new mouse to replace the one with the broken wheel, but in the meantime this has eased a lot of the pain.

Seems I may have jinxed myself when I said that. Just yesterday the mouse wheel on my desktop (formerly laptop) mouse stopped working completely. :( And meanwhile, the mouse I currently have connected to my laptop still has a broken (but still semi-functional) wheel. Looks like Minecraft will have to wait until I can get myself a new mouse.

When I played Minecraft back in the day StardustSoldier, I never used my mouse scroll. I just used the numbers on the keyboard at the top that correspond to each individual item slot. It’s so much faster and easier that way in my opinion. Also, you won’t accidentally skip over the item slot you desire, which is a problem with mouse scrolling. So, I’ll say that Minecraft is still perfectly functional, if not better that the scroll function is gone.

I have used the keyboard numbers before to select my inventory items, and indeed I was doing that earlier when dealing with my faulty mice. Personally, though, I find the scroll wheel easier than having to reach up and press the number each time... but then again, that may only because the former is what I'm so used to. But since I posted my above message, I have gotten replacement mice, so all is well in the world again. :D

It depends on your personal choice, though my suggestion would be to buy a wireless mouse.

There are several advantages and disadvantages for using wired as well as a wireless mouse.

Wired Mouse vs Wireless Mouse:

1.Wired mouse has a limited space to move and the cable restricts your free movement. Wireless mouse has much larger movable area and the area depends on the range of the receiver.
2.For wireless mouse, you need to consider the battery. Since it is running on battery, the charge will get depleted very fast if you do not manually switch off the power button on the mouse. For wired mouse there is no battery required as it draws power direct through USB.
3.Sometimes the signal from the wireless receiver can get intercepted if you have other wireless devices functioning in the vicinity and can delay the screen response time for the mouse pointer. For wired mouse this condition does not happen.
4.For free movement and cable tangle free movement, wireless mouse is more advantageous compared to a wired mouse.
5.If you are using a wireless keyboard, some mouse manufacturers such as Logitech allows users to use multiple devices using one receiver know as unifying receiver. This will allow users to free up USB ports for other devices. Users can connect mouse, keyboard and pen with a singe unifying

Wireless is usually for more hardcore people, why? Because it’s more expensive. Wireless mice tend to be at least twice as expensive as a similar non-wired mouse. It also breaks more often so you need more money and there’s more headache attached to it.
