We have threads for meaningful songs but no place where people post the actual lyrics. A little explanation as for why you consider the lyrics meaningful would be nice but it is not required of course ;)

I'll start (and probably post here whenever I discover a song with meaningful lyrics).

Connie Talbot - Let's Get Along
Connie Talbot - Let's Get Along

Why do people lie, why do they hurt each other
Why do nations fight, how could colour matter
Why do people envy and worship so much greed
Making war when they could live in peace
So Let's get along, let's get along
Any other way just has to be wrong
It's not their world or my world
It's our world
So let's get along and learn to live in peace
So many people have so much, while the rest have more than less
Wherever guns are sold, we know what happens next
Half the world is starving, while we’re throwing food away
It's time to stop and think and make a change
So Let's get along, let's get along
Any other way just has to be wrong
It's not their world or my world
It's our world
So let's get along and learn to live in peace
Maybe one day we’ll we come to our senses
that’s when we’ll’ see there's no difference in our differences
Then we can mend those broken fences, and get along, Lets get along
Let's get along, let's get along
Any other way just has to be wrong
It's not their world or my world
It's our world
So let's get along and learn to live in peace
Let's get along, put right what’s wrong
The rich and the poor, the weak and the strong
It's not yours not theirs not my world
It's our world
So let's get along and learn,
learn to live in peace

This song covers the issue of poverty, discord and racism (and probably a few more that just don't come to my mind). Connie wants all people to "get along", to drop prejudices and to hold on together as ONE world.
Hope you agree that this song is deep and meaningful (not to mention it's a really cool song and well sung, considering that Connie Talbot is only 13 :))
Inactive, probably forever.
