Arvens finds an old ghettoblaster in one of the less used runs of his underground warren. Pulling it out and dusting it off, he planned to use it for the party.
"Hmmm....what would these guys like?" he thought to himself.
"I know!!!" :D

"Since this is a dinosaur themed board, I think they will like hearing this one first by Was Not Was!"
*turns the volume up to 80% to wake all the neighboring animals* :nyah :nyah :nyah
*dances around hoping that someone will join him*
-
Petrie hears the loud noise and yelps in pain. " That is too loud." He flies down toward Arvens. Can you make the noise go down? Me cannot fly with loud noises."
Nick
-
BWAHAHA! You want me to do what little guy? :P: No, this is a fun time....loud music is culturally accepted tonight.
*inserts next track*
http://remote.adamraychel.us/fly.mp3 (http://remote.adamraychel.us/fly.mp3)
"Flip, Flop, and Fly" by Ellis Hall :D
*continues to dance around*
-
Akiko: *pads in, ears perked forward as she catches sight of the rabbit and the little flyer*
"HEY! Ya can't start da music without a singer!"
*she poses, tail hiking up and swaying to and fro proudly. Tilts her head, pauses for drama and...*
"AWROOOOOOOOOooooooool~!" ^________^
*ear piercing, really. She however thinks it's lovely!*
"Now, what's the next track?!?"
*the wolf jumps over the lapine, her eyes dancing with excitement*
"We gonna rock this forest! Hey! We should have a dance...thingi!"
-
*picks a dance track*
Who remembers how to do this one?
http://remote.adamraychel.us/macarena.mp3 (http://remote.adamraychel.us/macarena.mp3)
*tries to remember the moves but everyone soon can tell the rabbit doesn't remember them*
Help me out someone, please! :P: I don't mind the singing, but I have to at least be able to dance. :yes
-
Akiko: *tilts her head, also trying to remember*
"Oooooo, that crazy hyooman dance that had some sort of mind control on everyone! I think I know it!"
*she staggers upon her hind legs, front paws swinging out randomly*
"See!"
*grins, actually can't do it right at all. Ah well, at least she's trying to.*
"A one macrooni, a two and cheese! A three, I would like some...right now, if you please!"
-
*continues his cheezy dance moves*
Good enough?
-
Akiko: *nods and also continues her own rather sloppy attempts at dancing*
"Looks good enough to me! C'mon, lets dance together!"
*and with this, the wolf wraps her forepaws around the lapine, attempting to pick him up and then spin in circles/dance around*
"...HEY MACARENA!!!"
*seriously jamming to this*
"Mwhahaha! Fun!"
-
*drunk on Diet Coke*
Heeeeeeeeyyyyyyy it'ssssss the daaaammnnn Macarenaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
*continues the wild dance with the wolf once or twice their paws smacking each other*
-
*dizzily finds the boombox to change the song*
Five minutes to go woooooohhhh.... *head spins*
http://remote.adamraychel.us/excited.mp3 (http://remote.adamraychel.us/excited.mp3)
Rock on Pointer Sisters. :P: *finds his dancing partner for another upbeat number on the eve of the change of the year*
-
Petrie joins in. flapping his wings in tune with the music.
Nick
-
It's nearly New Years where you are. :P: You have every reason to dance about.
*turns it up louder*
I'm so excited, and I just can't hide it, I'm about to lose control and I think I like it......
-
"another Year nearly over, and a new one just begun."
Nick
-
*continues to dance with Petrie*
Whheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
*spins around until they're hopelessly dizzy again*
-
Petrie fights desperately to stay in the air, while continuing to dance. Put on some Elton John! I want to hear 'Rocket Man'!"
Nick
-
(ooc: I'll upload your request for you tomorrow)
*continues spinning*
-
ooc: I can sing that song very well, in fact I can sing most of his songs well. His songs aren't easy to sing either
Nick
-
Round and around and around we goooooooooooooo!!! :P:
-
where we stop , nobody knows.
Nick
-
*continues to laugh as he goes to push on the next track*
Little Petrie here requested Elton John's Rocket Man..... :P:
http://remote.adamraychel.us/rocketman.mp3 (http://remote.adamraychel.us/rocketman.mp3)
-
" I packed my bags last night , zero-hour 9 am. And I'm gonna be high as a kite by then..." Petrie begins, but Arvens knocks him down while dancing to the music.
Nick
-
(ooc: Not to butt in, but you just played my character. ;))
Ugh, bad song. :P: Elton's done better before. *turns music back off and pops on Livin' La Vida Loca - The Shrek 2 version*
-
Petrie screeches in pain and puts in Eric Sermon's "Music"(a duet with Marvin Gaye)
Nick
-
 Eh? What the h e double hockey stick is this?
*hits stop and places Ivy in front of the radio*
You wouldn't harm a lady to get the music. ;)
-
I would harm a lady to get to the music, but enough of this . Find a song we both like and stick with it.
Nick
-
*ponders*
I don't know what dinosaurs like. :p;
-
"I like Ray Charles. Put on 'Hit the Road Jack.'"
Nick
-
*puts on the song*
Heeeey, you're not implying something are you? :P:
-
No, but this is a good song. :P:
" Hit the road jack, and don't you come back no more no more no more no more..."
"What'd You say?"
Hit the road jack..."
Nick
-
I'm not going anywhere. :P:
*grabs Petrie to dance to one of his favorite songs*
-
Petrie tries to dance, but with Arvens hanging on to him, his dancing is awkward at best.
Nick
-
I'd hate to be Jack right about now! :P:
*continues flinging Petrie about in a comical dance*
-
Petrie becomes dizzy with all the spinning.
Nick
-
*picks another song out of the blue in mid spin*
Come on, come on, do the locomotion with me..... :D
-
Petrie starts making Choochoo noises." Choo hoo'
Nick
-
*parades around the trees and the tables*
-
Petrie starts making train sounds 'clang clang clang!'
Nick
-
*changes song*
The Angel is the Centerfold...na, na na na na na na....
I always liked the songs that never had any real words to them. :p
*continues to dance with the pterosaur*
-
Petrie continues to make choo choo noises.
Nick
-
*turns it louder*
NA NA NANA NANANA!!!
Stop playing human polluter already. :p
-
Petrie turns the volume down."what you say? I can't hear you."
Nick
-
*turning the sound back up the song has changed again*
I miss the rains down in Aaaaaaafricaaaaaaaaa.....

-
Toto-Africa
petrie dances along to the music.
Nick
-
Yea, you guessed right! :D
*continues dancing with the drumbeat*
-
I'm good at guessing songs.
Nick
-
*finds another song with the words 'na na na na' in it*
Mashed potato...do the alligator.... :P:
-
This is the song from the "Great Outdoors', which starred John Candy and Dan Akroyd. The film is hilarious.
Nick
-
Well I don't know the film you speak of but I do know the song. :D Do you? (this is only a tiny clip from the song)
-
do the watussie...Nanananana."
Nick
-
:D :D You do!!!
-
That's because I love the film.
Nick
-
*turns on another one*
Just like a dream, you are not what you seem. ;)
-
Madonna-Like A Prayer. The video for this song caused a huge uproar among conservative Catholics.
Nick
-
You're good.... ;)
-
I know
Nick
-
*changes song*
I fell into your open arms, I didn't stand a chance.
-
The song is called "open Arms" I think and I think its by Foreigner.
Nick
-
That's not what I had in my mind, but a line like that I suppose can fall into many songs....
Think older, say 70s, female singer.
-
Carly Simon- You're so Vain, perhaps.
Nick
-
*shakes head* Nyah-uh. One more strike and you're out. :p
-
Gloria Gaynor- I will survive
Nick
-
*grunts* Yeeeerrr out!!!!
Actually it's Dusty Springfield and the song is "I Only Want to Be With You"
Why don't you look through the collection and let me try to guess a song or two.
-
^Never heard of her. Here's one- What a tale my thoughts could tell, just like an old-time movie about a ghost from a wishing well."
Nick
-
^ Haven't the foggiest clue.
-
9I'll give you 3 guesses like you gave me.
Strike 1. Hint :think 1970's and its sung by a guy.
Nick
-
You can give me all the guesses you want...I'm not even familiar with a line about a ghost in a well.
The 70s technically aren't my favorite era, so I know very few singers from then unless it was disco.
-
Gordon Lightfoot-"If You could Read My Mind'- he's one of my favorite singers of that period
"If you could read my mind, love, what a tale my thoughts could tell, just like an old-time movie about a ghost from a wishing well."
Nick
-
Who? :P: See my point?
-
He's Canadian.. Some of his hits include "Sundown" and "wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald"
Nick
-
Do you know any from the 60s? I'm pretty good with that era.
-
"Just my imagination, running away with me."
Who sang this song?
Nick
-
It's on the tip of my tongue...yes rabbits have 'em. :P:
-
Tick Tock Tick Tock... :P:
Nick
-
Hint please, male or female? Solo?
-
It's a group.
Nick
-
Sorry....I've lost it. :( :(
-
The Temptations"Just My Imagination"
Nick
-
 That's not who I was thinking of when I first heard that statement. Maybe there's another song out there with the same lyrics, but I was thinking of a female singer for some reason.
-
your turn Arvens
Nick
-
"You really don't remember,
was it something he said?
All the voices in your head...."
-
Gloria' the woman who sang it died last year of a brain disorder.
Nick
-
I think the performer is Donna Summer. ;) Ok, give me one to try. :)
-
No Donna Summer is still Alive. Anyway. "There was a boy, a very smart enchanted. A Little shy, and sad of eye, but very wise was he."
Nick
-
Sounds like something out of a nursery rhyme. :P:
-
No ,It's a song I know very well, one I grew up listening to.
Nick
-
Well I sure didn't grow up listening to it. Was it sung by a kid?
-
No, it was by a man.
Nick
-
I think its obvious I don't know the answer otherwise I would've done so in my first post. :P:
-
Nat King Cole- Nature Boy
Nick
-
Only Nat song I know is The Christmas Song. ;)
You gave me a toughie, so I'll give you one right back.
"Your ability to reason is swept away."
-
Give me a hint please
Nick
-
1960s I'm certain, group name, one main singer,
"It clouds your mind with emoooootiiiooonnnn." :P:
-
Smokey robinson And the Miracles- I second That Emotion
Nick
-
Hmmm, no, its not a common group. I think this was their only hit song and it was popular because I've heard it a lot of times.
Want to give it one more try?
"Love runs deeper than any ocean...."
-
Alright I give up. Who sang it?
Nick
-
"Everybody Plays the Fool" by the Main Ingredient
I'm sure if you heard the song, you'd know what it was. I've had that happen with many--I've heard the song before, just forgot the title. ;)
You're up.
-
I know that song. " She said I want, I need you, but there ain't no way I've ever going to love you."
Nick
-
  Is this a very old song by chance?
-
It's a song from the 70's.
Nick
-
No bells are ringing. :(
-
MeatLoaf 2 out of 3 Ain't Bad. It's on the "Bat Out OF Hell" record.
Nick
-
Never listened to it at all. Surprise.
"There are battle lines being drawn. Nobody's right if everybody's wrong."
-
Hmmm.. a hint please.
Nick
-
Uh, *sheepish grin* I forgot the title and the performer all of a sudden. LOL
I'm going to have to give you a new song. :P:
"I can't find you; oh Billie."
-
Genesis" billy Don"t you lose MY Number"
Nick
-
Hehe, yep that's it. :)
-
This song is a parody of another song.. Have some more yogurt have some more pie."
Nick
-
Probably is a Wierd Al song then...
Um....probably going to need another hint. :)
-
It is by Weird Al and if I gave you another hint you'll get it. He parodied a certain singer in this song.
Nick
-
Sorry...I only know so many Wierd Al songs, and this isn't one of them. The closest I can come to is the one called Heart Attack #5 because it mentions food, but this isn't it. ;)
-
The song is called "Eat it" it's a parody of Michheal Jackson's "Beat it'
Nick
-
I've seen it, but never downloaded that one. :P:
"Come to the door, face to face, lay the package down..."
*crosses paws you might know it*
-
A hint please..
Nick
-
It's another Wierd Al song.
-
Is it "Beverly Hills?"
Nick
-
Nope....parody of a popular science fiction film regarding outer space. It shares this films' title song sung by someone who is quite well known. :)
-
Is it Phantom Menace?
Nick
-
Hmm...nope....this might've not been one of the more popular ones.
Think Will Smith... (that's the last hint)
-
Men In Black? I give up <_<
Nick
-
Yes, that is the song pardoy of, only it's called Men in Brown and it was about the UPS strike. Probably wasn't one of the more popular ones....
Next song please...
-
What rapper did Weird Al parody in perhaps his funniest video ever?
Nick
-
I've never watched a single Wierd Al video, so it's best you just go to another question. ;)
-
i was thinking of Coolio. Ever heard of "Amish Paradise"?
Nick
-
I've heard of Paradise City. That's about it.
-
"You've never heard Amish Paradise? :slap You've missed a hilarious song!
-
Nope. Next time I'm home (away from college) I'll listen to it though. ;)
-
I insist you do, and post what you thought of it.
Nick
-
Until then, I need a new song. :P:
-
Right. Which will Smith song did he describe as his "thriller'?
Nick
-
*bangs head on desk* The only song of his I know is Men in Black, and of course, that's only because of the film....
This isn't working out too well....we don't listen to the same stuff. :P:
-
I'll give you a hint. this song was also the name of one of his films, and the film in question was a huge bomb at the box office. Yes I did see the film, in fact I have it on video.
nick
-
*drums claws* I already said I didn't know it....I'm not a big movie person. ;) If it bombed, then it's even less likely that I was going to see it.
-
Wild wild west. He only repeated the title of the song about 40 times in the song :P: Have you seen the Lord of The Rings Films arvens? who sings the Theme for the Fellowship of the Ring?
Nick
-
Yes, each of them only twice. No soundtracks, nothing...I don't even have copies of the films...that's how much I didn't care for them, because they drag on waaay too long for my liking. >_>
-
Enya "may It be". I'm a LOTR nut, so I love the films.
Nick
-
OK then. name two singers who did duets with Ray Charles on "genius Loves Company"
Nick
-
Pass. <_<
-
Elton John, Norah Jones, and James Taylor are a few of the artists who worked with Charles. Norah's duet with Charles is up for a Grammy on Sunday.
Nick
-
Ok Here's another song. "Greta Garbo and Monroe Dietrich and Dimaggio, Mrlon Brando Jimmy Dean, on the cover of a magazine."
Nick
-
 Maybe someone else will know the answer....
-
This video was done in black and white, and its by an artist we covered earlier.
Nick
-
Please say someone else reads these threads because I don't know the answer!
-
Madonna was the singer, Arvens. The Video was for her song "Vogue".
Nick
-
I say someone else is going to have to start viewing this thread or this is as good as done because it's obvious I don't listen to the same stuff as you and I don't want to keep saying "pass" every time because I don't have an answer. -_-
-
You can ask a question now Arvens. Meanwhile I'll see if Malte or anyone else wants to play.
Nick
-
Every question I've posed you don't seem to know and vice versa. -_-
-
Just Keep posting them. Instead of posting one sentence, post two. That will make it easier for both of us.
Nick
-
If you say so....
"It's a game of give and take. How long must I wait? How much more can I take?"
I know of two artists that did this song.
-
One Was Survivor. I think the Song was called "Burning Heart' or something like that. It was drawn from Rocky 4. Apparently Survivor made a career off of the Rocky films.
Nick
-
Uhhh....no.
Another hint: "I grow impatient for a love to call my own.....these precious words keep me hanging on...."
-
At First Glance I thought of Heart, But None of their songs Have those Lyrics in them.
I'll keep looking.
-
If I remember the news correctly, this song was at #1 in the US in it's day by the original performer
P.S. I'm about to jump out a window because you know this person!!!!.
-
#1 eh? Ok I'll go look up #1 Hits.
Nick
-
One Of the Performers Was Phil Collins. The song is called "love don't Come Easy." :)
Nick
-
You've only answered about 1/3 of the question
1.) yes, Phil Collins was one of the performers, but he is not the original performer
2.) That is not the title of the song; those are words found in the song
You're getting closer. :D One more try. Ask Motown for directions.
-
Diana Ross And The The Supremes" Can't hurry Love". Genesis was the other group , Phil Collins was the drummer in Genesis,
Nick
-
There you go. :) That's the one.
-
Yay! Now Let Me Think of One.
Nick
-
I will resort to my six letter thesaurus if I don't know the answer offhand: google.
-
Alright Here's one: "Till I started A joke, Which started the whole world crying, Though If I'd only seen that the joke was on me."
Hints: late 60's song by a member of a legendary group.
Nick
-
*shakes head* Nopers.... hint please.
-
Think disco group.
Nick
-
The only "big" disco group that I can think of is the Bee Gees but I don't know any individual members of it. Am I even close?
-
Yep This Singer is a member of the Bee Gees. I'll Give you a hint. There Were four brothers Gibb. 3 Made up the Bee Gees and the youngest became a huge solo success. Of the four, two are still alive. this singer is one of the two still living.
Nick
-
Barry or Robin..... can I take a 50/50 Regis?
Ok, for all or nothing...Barry.
-
Robin is the singer. He's the nonbearded one of the group.
Nick
-
I took a wild guess..and lost.
You can either post another, or wait till I think of one....
-
Can you namee the other two Gibb brothers?
Nick
-
Barry & Maurice Gibbs?
