Something wierd is going on...

Every time I see a user posting something on a topic, instead of the new post appearing instantly, I have to wait ten minutes to read it. This has never happened to me before. It happens every time I hit the update button on the online list, and the poster has either went to a different topic or left the site. :huh: :blink:

Does this happen every time or just some of the time? I think I know what you are talking about. I noticed that when someone logs off the very second they are done posting, the post won't show up until they log back in again.

*shrugs* This isn't the first I've heard of this, but I never seen it occur. I'll check around the help forums and see if there is something really wrong with the board system.

There is nothing on the help forums about this so it's not something that affects a large amount of people. What are you two running in terms of an internet browser (IE, Firefox, Opera, Safari, etc.)? I've never had this issue running Firefox.

Maybe we should post an announcement telling people to wait for the post to fuly upload before logging off. It wouldn't hurt people to just wait a second or two.

I'm on Firefox, this problem just started a few days ago. All posts except for mine are taking an extremly long time to show up.

I'm on Internet Explorer. I've never noticed such a problem, but I can't say I've been looking for one, either.

I restarted my computer and now things are working again. action's post came up almost instantly after leaving the topic and going to the party room. So I think it might have to do with my computer.

I still have the problem when people log off right after posting something.

So you mean if I was to log out after this message I'm typing here was posted, you wouldn't see it? :huh:
