I'm sure it did. It looks likely to have been stop motion which does take quite a bit of time to do.

i love Yu-Gi-Oh: The abridged series, so awesome. I should check and see if there are any new episodes. But believe it or not, Saftycera, a member of this forum, voice acted for rebecca, one of the characters in one of the episodes.
