I think a flashback to the Nightmare Moon incident(The one that got her banished) would be a good season premiere.

I have actually come up with two ideas that take apart possibly one of the most hated MLP fanfics there is: The Conversion Bureau.

Quote
On a side note, how about the story of a Human scientist who helped develop the ponification serum but after learns the real reason behind the ponification and expanding barrier (possibly by getting a "the reason you suck speech", coupled with a veiled death threat from the HLF); he goes rogue, trying to find a way to render Humans immune to the lethal magic barrier. At the same time, he has to help get the truth of the matter out.

The trouble is that the scientist is wanted by the PER. They gets wind of what he's doing and tries to forcibly ponify or kill him as they see him as a traitor. The HLF is leery of him because of his previous background.

On a side note, I'm making the HLF a multi-species resistance group (Ponies, Humans and other sapient species). And they're fairly well equipped (think light armored vehicles, explosives, automatic weapons, squad based weapons etc).

The PER is just as deadly but they rely on things like potion bombs, spraying potion in public places, etc. Less brute force than the HLF. They rely on ponification mostly but they can and will use lethal force when they are trying to acquire potion.

The Conversion Bureau: A Light in the Dark

An action/adventure/thriller that is my own spin on the 'verse. Earth will be near future Earth (current year plus two to six years). Equestria will be depicted as it is in the show but with more modern technology (magitech analogues) some parts will be blatently "crystalpunk" (high tech society analogous to cyberpunk but magic crystals are the key instead of computers).

It starts off with a prologue in the year 2014 with Celestia and Luna discussing their plans for their kingdom and how its collision course with Earth will affect them. Talks then go bad when Celestia, having seen the worst of Humanity suggests forcibly turning Humanity into ponies - at the same time, destroying their minds - in order to keep her subjects safe. Luna who has seen a more balanced view of Humans, is utterly disgusted and reams out her sister. Eventually, Celestia snaps back with the "I'm the older sister; I know what's best!" Luna then storms out of the throne room as unicorn scientist comes in with a flask of purple liquid.

The first actual chapter (set in 2019), starts off as a normal TCB fic starring a guy who's quite literally the only Human in a town of 15,000 people. Feeling totally alienated and after receiving news that his two grown children chose ponification and now reside in Equestria, he eventually decides to ponify. However, he considers it equivalent to suicide. But he backs out at the last moment, returns home and decides to blog about it. The next day, he finds a package on his front doorstep addressed to him. Upon carrying the package to his bedroom and opening it, he finds a rolled up parchement with a distinct crescent moon wax seal. When he opens the wax seal, Princess Luna teleports in. He immediately tells her to get lost but, she assures him that she's just here to talk. Princess Luna then reveals that the conversion, lethal magic radiation and expanding barrier was all part of Celestia's plan to wipe out Humanity and force them into ponifying.

So he then joins the LRA (Lunar Resistance Army) in their mission to stop the expansion of Equestria, overthrow Celestia and hopefully open peaceful relations between Equestria and Earth. This man will be one of many in the LRA. He will meet Discord, the Elements of Harmony, Changlings, Zebras, Griffons, Diamond Dogs, Humans, Newfoals and Ponies (natural-born). They are united by one cause: the overthrow of Celestia and the destruction of the infrastructure responsible for Celestia's plot. They will face many dangers, ranging from hostile civilians to dangerous wildlife to the terrorist group Ponification For Earth's Rebirth (PER). But their most dangerous foe is the Solar Princess herself along with her legions of fanatically devoted troops.

Can this group succeed or will Earth and Humanity be trampled under the iron-shod hooves of Celestia's military?

A darker version of this had Celestia as an outright xenocidal speciesist and conqueror. And the EOH served as her elite cadre.

^^Hmm... Is the passphrase B.B.B.F.F. or L.S.B.F.F.?  I'm betting on one of those two. :)

Today is my sister's birthday, and this is what I gave her.

Not much of a Photoshop, but I hope she likes it. :)

My idea for a season premiere starts with AJ's Birthday party where she plays up to dance with her fiddle.

The party is held like Pinkie Pie's Birthday in the barn.

AJ tells a story about what she does beside work, how she met with Fluttershy as a filly where she got Winona and a flashback of her first rodeos in a two part.

I can't believe this! Shout Factory! refused to release a season box set of My Little Pony: FIM, but they have one for the first half of G.I. Joe Renegades which got cancelled after ONE SEASON! The hell?! So they don't think we'll "pony" up the cash for a hugely successful series but will pay for one that apparently no one watched. I need to lie down for a while.

Is there seriously a rivalry between MLP and Korra fans?

^I honestly don't know. I just found that picture, laughed at it, and decided to share it with all of you. I think both shows are fantastic.

I haven't see Legend of Korra yet, so I can't say anything on it myself.  However....on a pony related note, I do have my DVDs coming this week.  Preordered them at the end of May and they get released on Wednesday.  Just two DVDs at the moment, but good thing is that they are in order, the episodes that is.....well, that's what the supplier had said anyway XD

So yeah, first 10 episodes on DVD, which is good ^^

^^Maybe it's a good thing.  You have been showing signs that you are addicted to it, Bongo.

It's time to let go. :)

I can't let go! Ponibooru has done so much for me!

Using Ponibooru, I actually backtracked to some not so well known but still talented artists on DeviantArt that I follow to this very day.

Uncolored sketches that were posted on Ponibooru helped me realize what I could do. That art now rests proudly in my DeviantArt as well.

Still on the topic of DeviantArt

The people there made me laugh. PynkyPy, Roboshi, Anchors, YellowTDash, Whirly Willow, Gittonsxv, Jackarunda, etc.

My room has been turned into an 'Inspiration Room' of sorts that helps inspire my writing and art, and cheers me up when I feel down. My room is literally covered with art that was all from Ponibooru.

(This will probably be the first time you guys see my room)

Ponibooru was like the second coming impact of my Pony life, the first being introduced to My Little Pony via this thread.

Plus, how can I put it, Ponibooru was adventurous. What I mean by that is this. Other Boorus I've been to always enact some set of rules to keep the law and order. Not Ponibooru, nooo. Ponibooru was like the Wild West. There was hardly any law and people went free reign. The only two laws that were enforced were; Pony Images or Meta Pony Images Only and No Humanized Child Porn. Other than that, the rest was a wide open plane. You had different ranges of pictures from the cute and cuddly to the hardcore and explicit. It could all go to purgatory on the turn of a dime.

The comments were also worth it all. Sometimes there was spam, sometimes there fights, but the best types were the ones late at night. I don't think I told anyone about the Nigel Thornberry one where everyone posted nothing but Nigel Thornberry. Or better yet, the Dance Party comments, were everyone would just post gif's of dancing and stuff like that. And the first image of Ponibooru is awesome as well. It's where everyone would try to test their BBC Coding. I even tried my hand at that.

Good times about to turn into nothing. Heck, I used Ponibooru so much that just typing the letter 'P' into my URL automatically brings up the Ponibooru URL as the first choice.

^^Unfortunately, you have no choice in the matter.  The following message about the situation comes from EqD.

Quote
As many of you may have noticed this morning, the image repository Ponibooru has shut down all uploading capability. According to the site owner, this was "not due to any sort of external pressure, nor is it due to financial problems. The reasons are personal: I (Eco/Archive/&c) have simply reached the point where I can see no way to run the site that I can live with, nor do I have any person whom I trust to run the site in a way I can endorse."

Select highly-rated images have been offloaded to a sister site Derpibooru, which will continue Ponibooru's functionality. On Ponibooru you can also find torrents for every image uploaded to the site since its launch, as well as only highly-rated ones.

Ponibooru will go dark in two months, on August 17th, 2012.

Sorry, but you'll either have to let go or be forced to in two months time.  The owner of the site has made their choice.

I am already prepared to move on. I signed up for Derpybooru and Bronibooru, as well as downloaded the torrents that contain all the pictures of Ponibooru as well as looking for archived web pages so that I can still read the comments and such, but it's like losing a pet. You don't want it to go but you know you have to see it go. It's just a really sad day. It would be like MLP:FiM's final season announcement. They already made their choice but that doesn't stop the emotions of sadness from coming.
