Title: Friends Forever
Post by: Cancerian Tiger on October 25, 2008, 01:37:27 AM
Yeah, it's titled "Friends Forever", and it's due to be released December 2nd in the States :yes.  I saw the cover image on the Wal-Mart website, if anyone's interested in posting a link or image.  I must say, they did not fire that last artist <_<... see for yourselves.

Oh god, that was funny! :lol

Anyway, how can the last box set be out yet?  There are 26 episodes and only 4 on each disk.  26 isn't divisible by 4.

I think if they have 4 on this one, that will leave 1 episode not on any dvd version, counting the 1 that is on the 13th movie as an extra.

If so that definitely means there will be a 14th movie so they can put the last TV episode on it as an extra. :D

I'd agree, at least they are putting up anything anyway.

reason for celebrating that?

I hope you are right but I don't think it is a matter of certainty. No reason to celebrate but no reason to abandon modest optimism either. I'm afraid we need something more official before starting a celebration that is not at the risk of ending in disappointment.

Best to hope, then wait and see what the information is when it does come out.

Do we know what episode didn't make the cut?

So far, out of the four episodes, the two confirmed ones are The Big Longneck Test and The Lone Dinosaur Returns.

No word on the other two yet.

I find it interesting that the cover features Bron as one of the characters that are shown.  I think that's the first time an adult has ever been on the cover of a LBT movie, though I'm not totally sure.  I don't have the old movies anymore and the covers have changed since I re-purchased them.

Well, if you want to count the villains as adults, you have:

Sharptooth on the original LBT movie.

Chomper's Dad, Ozzy and Strut on LBT 2 VHS.

Icky and Dil on LBT 4 VHS.

The Shark on LBT 5 VHS.

Many Adult Longnecks on LBT 10 DVD.

And now we have Bron on the Friends Forever DVD of the TV Series.

----------

Hm, counting them all, that's about a third right there.

There's been a change of the line-up:

1. The Mysterious Tooth Crisis

2. The Missing Fast-Water Adventure

3. The Lone Dinosaur Returns

4. The Legend of the Story Speaker

What happened to The Big Longneck Test? I was really looking forward to seeing that one...

Hmm... something's up.  I just know it.  For some reason they put Bron on the cover, but didn't put the episode where he appears.

Or did they?  I don't think they announced that a Bonus Episode was in LBT 13.  Did they ever announce this before it's release?  If not, do you think they're doing the same as before?

For me, I hope so. :)

I guess The Big Longneck Test is the only one not on any dvd, once this one comes out?  I wonder if they chose that one for a reason, or if something is up.

could it be a sign or something?

It could be.  It could mean many things.  They overlooked or forgot about that episode.  They do not consider it canon.  They plan on putting it as an extra on a 14th movie, when and if it comes out, or maybe other factors & things as well.

I now hold the new DVD.  I took a closer look at the DVD box cover.  Turns out that it's NOT Bron in the background, but Doc.  If you look hard enough, you can see a scar across the eye of the longneck, and who's the only longneck we know that has a scar?  Yep, Doc.

Doc being on the cover actually signifies something though.  On the back, it shows that it includes the Sing-a-long version of "The Lone Dinosaur".  So, along with the episodes, we get a Sing-a-long.  Of course, that's been the route of LBT since it went DVD. :D

Well, time to get to work on the videos.  See ya later! :)

Are the 4 episodes the same ones as Spartanguy88 listed?

Good luck on the videos.

The episodes are as follows:

The Mysterious Tooth Crisis
The Missing Fast Water Adventure
The Lone Dinosaur Returns
Legend of the Story Speakers

So, the only one left is "The Big Longneck Test".  My prediction is that they will include it with the 20th Anniversary Edition of the original LBT that's bound to come out next year. :)

The next one may be on that.  My guess is it'll be on whatever lbt movie dvd will be next, wither it is the 14th movie, or the 20th anniversary dvd of the first one.

Hey guys, check this out!

I went to town and bought the DVD's 4-6, and look at this:

5 and 6 contains 5 episodes!

The other one's have 4 episodes on each... that means....

4 X 4 = 16

5 X 2 = 10

16 + 10 = 26

That's right! The Big Longnecktest is featured on DVD no. 6 Swedish edition!!!

That makes all the 26 episodes! B)

Guess if I was suprised! :yes

But it's strange... why here and not in the US?

That is odd.  I don't have the 6th one yet, but the 5th one has only 4 episodes on it.

From what I have seen the DvDs over here in Germany contain 2 Episodes each!
Just why do I feel kind of cheated (didn't buy the DvDs though and not sure if I will).

Sounds pretty bad.  Only 2 on a disc.  I'd not buy those.  Not sure how many episodes the British ones have on them.  That should still be a pal region 2 dvd's.  That is 1 option.
