Title: [VO] Character Auditions for Voice-over of LBT1

Making several topics for the voice-over project to create better visibility and hopefully blow some new life into it. In this topic: Character Auditions.

While some character slots have been filled, most characters still need to find their match. Please note that you do not need to sound exactly like the original voice actor, because then we might as well watch the original movie. An Australian Littlefoot? Sure! A Russian Ducky? Why not?!

These are the recordings I have received until now, for all characters. Want to join in? Check out which characters have not yet been taken (http://www.gangoffive.net/index.php?topic=16547.0).

Just added an audition for Rooter by Aabicus! IMO your voice is very soothing and it definitely fits Rooter's character. I'd be fine with you having the role ^^

Ok so we finally have some motion for the role of Littlefoot! @Littlefoot1616 has decided to step up (after I pestered him about it again) and sent me a couple of scenes. Going to share the scene with Rooter for you guys to consider:

Littlefoot is a hard one. His vocal range is really high and gets worse when he's mad or crying. I don't think anyone here could accomplish this to the extend that a kid voice actor could, however I think you've done a decent job at capturing his emotions and inflections, which is the most important part for this role.

whoa
I think it's first time I watch it in such quality so Littlefot's eyes look strong red in this scene for some reason... O_o
I freaked me out a bit.

Rooter's voice is amazing!
Littlefoot though, even if not considering it's different, well, true, it sounds not emotional enough.

Littlefoot does sound a bit older than he's supposed to be, but that can't be helped. The inflections and vocal pitch were indeed captured well! I kinda doubt we'll have a better Littlefoot, anyway, considering that they always had kids play the role. :p

Thanks for voicing your opinions there guys. I welcome the criticism as well as the praise. One can always do better  :^^spike

I appreciate that I am not a good fit for Littlefoot in terms of his vocal range. Let's just say I got a few years on the original LBT's debut   :lol
I'm aiming more to get the stresses and inflections in LF's voice in the right place while matching his tone as best I can but I'm never going to hit those higher ranges naturally. No doubt someone could match his tone much easier than I ever could but I will aspire to capture the character in my own way  :DD

I wanted to give it a try all the same. Always wanted to do VO work and getting the chance to voice my literal favourite animated character was a golden opportunity I couldn't pass up (despite almost letting it slip for ages now... :oops).

Anyway, just wanted to thank everyone, especially Mumbling, for giving me the chance.  :)littlefoot
