Who's Pino?

Pino is a Spinosaur or Spined Sharptooth in my fanfic Journey to the Island. She and her parents have tavelled far and wide in the mysterious beyond in search of a place to call home. Surprisingly, she is older then Chomper, Probably five years older. Might make another fanfic after Journey to the Island, however i still have yet to think of a plot or story for it. She may also appear in a future Kingdom Hearts Major Crossover Story as well, but for now that remains a mistory.
EDIT: I got her name from two things: Spinosaur and a game called Legends of Dragoon, where a character called Spino constantly says Pino.

When was the first time i watched the Black Cauldron? That was a looong time ago. I think when they finally decided to release the movie on the VHS. I've got the VHS(Obviously :nyah ), but sadly the VCR doesn't work so im stuck with waiting for them to release the movie on DVD (They moved it back to September 14th)
As for my obsession? Honestly im not sure what brought that on, he wasn't even one of my favorites to begin with! I mean, he was one of my favorites, but he wasn't in my top 10 or 15.. It was pretty much the same thing like with Ozzy: I watch LBT2 again after a long time and i start obsessing over the character (Usually and mostly the Villain.) except with the Horned King, im not exactly sure what started it with him all of a sudden. Did i stumble on a video? A Picture on DeviantArt? I dont know! :blink:

What i meant was this..
To me, Obama is doing a very, very lousy job. He makes promises and breaks them. I wasn't saying anything along the lines of "Obama is not my president." I meant it like "Oh! I didn't know we had a president. I thought we were president-less for a while now.." All in all, i am very disatisfied with him and and he has done nothing that has caught my eye..
Im not sure how to word it all. Im just disatisfied with him. If there are those that like him, that's fine. But before you ask, i think Bush was a great president and i would have much rather prefered John McCain as president. Atleast McCain wasn't making empty promises.. That is why Obama got the job: He made promises but didn't have the power to fulfil those promises..
Im afraid i've said enough.. And before you ask, no. It has nothing to do with color. I think everyone is equel, no matter what color they are..

Ah, okay. It's just I keep hearing a lot of Obama hate from our country, and quite frankly I find it very annoying that some people blame him for all of the country's problems. :rolleyes That's just me though. I don't hold anything against you or anything, I'm just curious is all. :)
And in following that question...what do you think Obama could be doing right now to be a better president?

Honestly, i dont know. Im not sure what presidents do to make things better or worse.. :blink: Although im not to thrilled with the Whale thing.. (I cant remember exactly what it was.. Didn't he lift the ban on Whale Hunting or something like that?

My other favorite fandoms are Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Star Wars, Pirates of the Caribbean(Except for the third movie), Plenty of other Disney movies but im not going to bother typing them all out because there are alot.. Jurassic Park, Underworld.. I really like the Resident Evil and Silent Hill movies but i have not played the games yet (Hoping to atleast get a chance for the SH ones). Spyro, Crash Bandicoot, Kingdom Hearts.. Alot of anime shows like Cowboy Beebop, Inuyasha, Wolf's Rain and Dragon Ball Z (Which was where i got the first part of my name: Babidi).
There are alot of others but i cant really think of any at the moment, but there are lots.. :D

Yup, you are correct, Maleficent and Davy Jones are in the top tens. Maleficent has been my favoritest ever since i was a kid. Davy Jones though, is someone who i actually want to marry.. (Im talking about the guy with the tentacle beard from POTC.. Yeah! Im weird!) The second guy i want to marry is a skeleton.. A disney skeleton.. And is a Disney villain.. Any guesses on who that might be? :D

It doesn't really matter which order they are in.. Notice how the Horned King is the eighth character listed when i've been, like you said in the last question, obsessing over him recently? You could say i have a 'Character-Of-The-While List' and he is currently Character-Of-The-While. However, Maleficent and Davy Jones will always remain as my top favorites. By the way, each character has a link to a picture just in case your wondering what they look like.. Dont fall out of your chair when you see Gothmog.. :smile But i still love him. Just dont want to marry him.. :blink:
But yeah, the list changes sometimes.. Honorable mentions are Lurtz, Nitros Oxide, The Forgotten One and a few others that i forgot about.. :nyah But hey! Atleast i remembered the Forgotten One! :crazy :D
EDIT: Honorable mention also goes to Babidi, one of the villains from Dragon Ball Z! :smile

Apart from Jolly Roger (whom you introduced me to recently), I think I’m familiar with everyone on that list. Gothmog’s the Orc (or Uruk-Hai? :unsure:) with the tumorous-looking head, right? *Checks link* Yep. :yes I don’t recognize any of the villains you cited as honorable mentions, though.
New question: You said you liked the first two Pirates of the Caribbean films, but not the third. I was just curious why that is. (I suspect the main reasons are that Davy Jones and the Kraken die, :( and the Flying Dutchman’s crew revert to their boring human forms. :p)

Yup, that's pretty much the reason why as well.. If you heard someone bursting into tears at the scene where Davy Jones gets killed, that would have been me..
Jack Sparrow was likeable in the first movie, but then in the second movie it kinda went "Ehh, he's alright.." come third movie however, i just down right hate the man.. I dont hold Will Turner responsible for the death of beloved captain, Davy Jones. It was Jack Sparrow that killed him in my eyes.. Will was to weak and would not have been able to kill Jones if it weren't for Jack. And my hatred for Jack goes even further: He was responsible for why my Jolly Cakes is all skeletally! (Thought it would have been the Horned King, eh? But no.. Jolly Roger would be the other option for who i want to marry. As i've said: Im strange..)
A few other things i disliked was..
1. The Multiple Jacks.. NOT What i had in mind for what he would have encountered in the Locker. I imagined suffering the same fate over and over again while trying to avoid it but to no avail.
2. Calypso being released.. By growing in size? Not very original in my opinion.. And the slowed down voice didn't help one bit..
3. Love conquers all.. They sure toasted that little memo with Davy and Caly.. Just as Maestro Forte from Beauty and the Beast: Enchanted Christmas said(or sang): Dont fall in love..
4. In particuler, Jack Sparrow was a jerk.. I hated him more then Elizabeth in the second movie!
5. But out of them all, Davy Jones' death.. They led me to believe he would live! And they killed him! They could have atleast showed whether or not he was forgiven(Though i think Calypso should be the one begging for forgiveness..) or if he was abandoned.. Yet again..
Bah, i've said enough.. Jack Sparrow fans from across the world probably hate me now if they ever read that.. There were scenes i liked, like the beginning when they sing 'Hoist the Colors'. It was also cool seeing Barbossa return, as i've had this little saying: The reason why sequels never do so good is their missing the original baddie(Fine example is Men in Black II). And the scenes with Davy Jones in particuler stole the spotlight for me.. But it is my least favorite of the Pirates movies. Heard news of a forth and i thought. "Oh boy, whoop-de-doo.." :anger But that is why i dislike the third pirates movie. :cry

Yeah, I agree with you about a lot of those things. I didn’t really mind the “multiple personalities/Jack talking to himself” stuff, but it’s definitely not how I would envision purgatory. I didn’t think much differently of Jack himself than I did in the first two films, though. As for Davy Jones, I had always felt certain that he was going to die in the third movie, but I was definitely sad about it (He’s probably my favorite character from the series as well).
Anyway, I’ve got another question: What did I say in my Horned King captions that made you so certain I had seen The Black Cauldron? :) :p

I was just having a lot of fun coming up with captions for all the Horned King images you were posting (his unintentionally hilarious expressions offered a wide range of caption possibilities :lol), many of which I was quite proud of. Basically I found his comedic potential surprising (ironic even), considering that I had previously thought of him as an extremely dark and creepy villain. I actually remember the movie so poorly that I don’t think I referenced it deliberately in any of the captions I posted. :blink: (This strikes me as a similar situation to the one Ptyra brought up (http://www.gangoffive.net/index.php?topic=6185&view=findpost&p=9187965) a while back regarding my Brave Little Toaster captions.)

The three Dinosaurs that seem to come to mind are..
T-Rex, Spinosaur or Velociraptor (That or Suchomimus)
T-Rex, because it's my favorite dinosaur of all.
Spinosaur, because of the character i made for 'Journey to the Island'.
Or Velociraptor, as i like to be speedy and think it would be fun to jump-attack my pray! :anger Erm..
But other then that, im a carnivore and i love meat! :p I dont mind eating Salad every now and then.. But im like Ozzy: Im picky about my food.. :lol
Speaking of Ozzy.. For laughs, it would be pretty interesting to be a Struthiomimus as well.. Can you guess why? :p

Yep, i plan on continuing 'Journey to the Island'. Sadly, the end is drawing near already.. :( Why am i so slow with that story? Things are pretty busy in real, still baby-sitting little niece, teaching her the ways of the dark side of the force.. erm.. But, yeah.. I am able to check the forums while baby-sitting, but it's hard writing stories while baby-sitting.. But i wont give up! I shall come up with ideas eventually, and bada-bing bada-boom, there you shall have it :) Sorry for the story being so slow :(
EDIT: Not to mention i've been getting idea-storms for other stories (Posted a chapter of my villains fanfic here.) but still, i wont give up until the journey ends.

The Horned King.. :DD If i had to choose someone besides him, Gurgi.. He reminds me of a fuzzier/nicer version of gollum/smeagul from Lord of the Rings.

Honestly, im not really sure.. I thought it was as good as any other Disney movie i watched. But after discovering that not many people know the movie that well, it kinda made me like it even more..
I guess i like movies that nobody else really likes (Ever heard of Battlefield Earth? Probably the most hated movie in the history of hated movies.. Ever. But i dont see anything wrong with it, i like the movie!)

They do kinda look like the Skeksis(The movements), although the Skeksis look more like vultures then owls. :p
Alright, the first thing that pops into my head was "The skeksis look like frogs?" Because, well, Frogmouth.. When i clicked it on i was like: "Wow! They do!" And then i realised "Wait a minute, their birds.. Oops. :p" they do look familier, but im not sure from where.. :p Also, im not really sure they actually are owls although they really look like them to me. :p

Yeah, they actually aren't owls (though they are nocturnal like them); their closest relatives are nightjars, swifts, and hummingbirds. They're called frogmouths because of their wide mouths.

Actually, im not really sure myself. I've always loved the villains ever since i was a little itty bitty sea squirt. I was never afraid of Chernabog or the Horned King. I thought they were completely normal.. When it comes to Disney Villains. :p Why, i gladly ran up to Jafar and gave him a hug when i was little one time at the parks without a second thought. Sure, Gaston or Frollo might have given me a few nightmares or two, but i wasn't actually afraid of them. Not to mentioned i loved the Skeksis when i was little.. Besides that, it's the villains that make the stories, and it's not just the Disney Villains either. It pretty much applies to all villains, Disney and Non-Disney alike. FernGully, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, they just wouldn't be the same without our loveable villains. Think about it, without the villains, the stories would be pretty boring otherwise(Fine example is Sleeping Beauty) There is also so much stuff that we dont know about them. The Horned King for example.. Do you know how painful it was writing down his history there isn't really much known about him? :blink: It's the villains that spark my curiosity!
But, yeah.. I either grew up weird or.. Grew up weird.. :crazy :smile

Not really. Atleast not that i know of.. Davy Jones on the other hand? He is pretty unique for a Disney Villain. I dont recall ever seeing a Disney Villain like him, that's for sure! But other then that, cant say i really know for sure. :DD But if there is one villain that i dont like, it's Cutler Beckett. :bang People say the Horned King was a flat character in the Black Cauldron? Look at Beckett, the guy doesn't even show emotion in the movies! :anger Non-Disney wise, remember Gothmog? Yeah, im afraid to say i was one of many that hated the orc. But i eventually decided "Ahh, not his fault he's like that. Might as well just leave him be." and it eventually turned into "Wow! He's awesome! How come i didn't like him before?" :p How? Long story.. Kinda involves browsing a shop for various LOTR stuff and letting out a loud gasp when i found a Mini-Gothmog-On-Warg. :nyah

Did you hate Beckett because he was such an emotionless character, or just because he was such a nasty guy?
Also, what was the reason for your initial dislike of Gothmog?

Because he was such an emotionless guy. Because he was such a nasty guy. Both. No emotion on his face what so ever. Although i actually did see a smirk or two during "At Worlds End". During the scene in At World's End before the big battle, Will and Jack switch places and Beckett quickly scoots over so Jack has to stand next to Davy Jones. When it shows Beckett, he had one big smirk on his face. Was pretty good i have to admit, but Beckett is probably my least favorite out of all the Disney Villains combined.
As for Gothmog? Well, look at the guy! His looks pretty much sealed the deal there.. The whole side-stepping the boulder didn't help much either. That and the fact it never showed him getting killed. :p But i got used to him and he became one of my favoritest characters from the movies. As for how? I dont know. After watching the movie a few times i started to like him and then it got to the point where he was my second favorite from the movies(First being the Witch-King). Alas, by that time the Extended Edition came out and it showed him getting killed.
"Arg, he got killed. I don't want him to die now, i like him!"

Yupperoo, I just need to find a good refrence picture of the clothes. Really proud with how the head turned out(Might use the head for an Ozzy/Strut one next).

Depending on how the Skeksis turn out, I might try and do a Skeksis version of the Horned King(Would be interesting to try a Gothmog Skeksis as well, But I haven't even tried Fuzzle-Bumps yet) Worse comes to worse, I'll turn Ozzy and Strut into a Skeksis. SkekOz? SkekRut?

Well, I agree you ought to work more on the legs and body (also, I don’t think of Ozzy as being that gray), but the arms and feet are pretty good! :yes I like the eyes, too, though I think you should remove those two black pixels coming off the top of his beak (just above his mouth).
Did you say that skekUng was your favorite of the Skeksis? Any particular reason for that? :)

Not including the Captain himself? Hmm, that's kinda a tough choice.. :unsure: There are so many crewmembers to choose from. :unsure: Not to mention, thanks to Pirates of the Caribbean Online, i've pretty much developed a soft spot for all of them, as they are all found on "Isla Tormenta"(Of course, my heart still goes to Davy Jones!). We call them the 'Cutie-Pies' of Tormenta(My mom plays Pirates as well, and she thinks that as well. So nyah :smile)
I really can't answer this one.. :unsure: I like the whole crew, including Bootstrap Bill Turner, but the one I like the least I guess is Wyvern.. I don't hate him, but I don't like the fact that he told Will about stabbing the heart.. :(

Ugh, hecticness!
Long story short, the Ex-Dad took the day off for New Years, leaving us(Me and Mom) broke and almost lost the Apartment in the process. Uncle sent money down to help with the rent. So now we're trying to look for a place to hire us, but nobody is hiring so we have to fill in Applications. Even so, it'll be very difficult.. Also trying to get help from Child Support or something like that for food stamps and hopefully get some money to help us once a month. Unfortunately, it's all still processing and we have no idea how long that'll be or if we'll be declined..
Other then that, I've been trying out Lord of the Rings Online. Got to Level 60 last night! :D Great game, but my heart still belongs to Pirates of the Caribbean Online.
I've also gotten into the whole Roleplaying stuff. For Disney? Of course i've been roleplaying as both the Horned King (http://worldsofdisney07.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=villain&action=display&thread=6265) and Maleficent (http://worldsofdisney07.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=villain&action=display&thread=6784). For Non-Disney stuff, I found an LOTR-RP in which I'm roleplaying as Gothmog (http://lostfellowship.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=meprofile&action=display&thread=1482).
And of course, still Baby-Sitting the little niece. :p
Things have been very hectic and very stressful in real. Either have to pay the bills and starve or buy food and suffer without the electric and water. They say that the Computer doesn't help with stress, but honestly I think it does. It's stress-relieving for me.. :(

Well, I haven't seen the movie in years(Well, not really.. Watched it over at my Grandmothers house). I noticed that the coloring isn't as grainy on the DVD then what it was on the VHS. But Grainy-ness or not, I'm still glad I finally got my hands on the darn movie after wanting to watch it for so long! :DD

Actually, I got my username from two things:

The very first online game I ever played, which, unfortunately closed sometime in 2008. :( My characters name on there was Babidi, named after my cat who was named after a character from the anime show Dragon Ball Z.. who also got the name from Cinderella.. (Three Characters named Bibidi, Babidi and Majin Buu (Bippity, Boppity, Boo!) :lol: )
Pirates of the Caribbean Online
After VMK Closed, we moved over to POTCO, even though we had already signed up during Beta(Which earns you a special Founders Status). We went on there every now and then, but the lag was terrible back in the beta days! Kraken Guard is the name of my main Pirate on there. There is this one(Well, two..) video game that I have called Drakengard. My mom had asked me "What was the name of that game?" And I told her: "Drakengard." "You should name you're pirate Kraken Guard!" I know, "Drakengard" and "Kraken Guard" are spelled differently.. But they sound similar, right? :)
I couldn't really decided what I wanted my username to be, so I decided to combine them both to make.. One long username.. :blink: :p

Pino is a Spinosaur.. You can ask Pangaea more about Spinosaurs(Alas, he knows them a little bit better then I do.. :lol )
Pino is a young Spinosaur, five years older then Chomper but is still young at heart. Whenever I finish Journey to the Island, I may write more stories about Pino and see what sort of mischief I can get her into. :DD
