Think I'd have to agree with Cancerian Tiger on this one. I'm a CRAZY Doom fanatic! (With Doom and Doom II - for me, anyway - it wasn't fear of the levels and the dark, so much as it was adrenaline at the fast-paced action, and loads and loads of monsters coming to re-arrange the Space Marine's anatomy... Not to mention the traps...) Next to Chrono Trigger, it's the game I've played the most, or at least, the game I remember playing the most - though, Doom wins by a LANDSLIDE compared to how much I've played Chrono Trigger. (Which, isn't scary at all; it's cool!) I don't like horror movies; I personally see them as demonic. (Well, but who's gawking? I've played Doom III, haven't I? Took me TWO YEARS to be able to upgrade my computer just to do it though!) Yeah Doom III was, uh, pretty Hell-ish, so who am I to say anything in that regard? I don't play Doom III as much, because my computer can't handle much besides the main game, which gets old after a while... And yeah, people complained about it not being overly complex, and having "overused" horror scenarios... But hey, with the mod-ability of the game, you can create new horror scenarios within the game that can really... Ugh, gross you out... For me, the part I found the most horrifying, would have to be, the "growth;" oh god, I'm almost getting dizzy sick just thinking about it! The way it seemed to be "alive," and it made that sick, slimy sound...!! Ooohh... God... So... Sick! You even have to walk THROUGH IT at certain points!! Soooo... Soooooo... Siiick!!
